Very nice. Lovely, friendly staff. Tasty food . I had mussels in tomato and chilli sauce with French fries....lovely. we were celebrating my son getting a job.

A warm welcome by friendly and professional staff. Nothing was too much trouble. An interesting and varied menu, and an open toe joys reasonably priced 2 course lunch, if desired. Portions were generous. My seafood linguine was served hot & had a good selection of seafood including mussels.

Olivello helped me out at really short notice when another restaurant cancelled my Boxing Day family booking for twelve people with just three days notice - Olivello fitted us into their busy schedule, and were wonderfully welcoming - all the food was amazing, the atmosphere was brilliant, and we all had a great time - thank you so much! :)

We just walked out the door, but I need to write that review ASAP! A lovely place! The waiters funny, nice and attentive! The food ( we had a filet steak with skin on fries and salat and a classic parmo) was outstanding! Myself worked for 13 years in the austrian gastronomie and can say they could learn a lot from that place! Congrats to the owner for creating this place :)

Food is always amazing and the staff are helpful and friendly. Recently, booked a table for 32 for my sons 21st birthday meal, they decorated the room and all 32 meals were cooked perfectly and brought out at the same time. Thank you for making it a perfect for him.

We rocked up and stumbled upon the festive menu. Great, an opportunity to partake in my first festive meal of 2024!! So, I ordered the prawn cocktail to start and the festive Parmo for mains. The prawn cocktail was amazing! Plenty of juicy prawns and a lovely garnish. Decent size too. I really enjoyed every mouthful. When the parmo arrived I was dumb-struck by the size. Had to drink plenty of raspberry vodka to wash it down and still couldn’t finish. The pigs in blankets were very tasty but the rest was rather bland. I struggled, although this was mostly down to the size. All meals were very well presented and the staff very friendly. I would recommend a visit, but I think the parmo needs a bit of rethinking.

Been to Olivello lots of times and it’s always a great visit. I like the atmosphere in the restaurant, and the food is tasty. We got 2 mains, a dessert and mocktails and it came to just over £50 which I find reasonable.

Excellent . Had Christmas meal there . Very large mains . Can’t speak for everyone but mine was tremendous . Starter with black pudding stack , cheesecake for dessert . Roast main was huge . Great staff very friendly . Highly recommend

Visited Olivello`s for a joint birthday for myself and my mother in law. The staff were great, assisting with the booking and planning an on the night nothing was a problem for them. Feedback from everyone who attended was that the food was 1st class and everyone had a great evening.

It's been a long time since I've had such an enjoyable food experience. We all had such good food, and all of us look forward to a return visit.

Good restaurant with Italian and English food, the pasta being made in the UK is of good quality cooked al dente.

This restaurant's service is exceptional ! It is the Gold Standard by which others should be judged. Nothing was a problem and the attention to detail was amazing. My daughter had a small gathering of very close friends and relatives after getting married at the town hall. The owner and his team made the celebration very special. I highly recommend this place and will be using it often. The food was also delicious.

Loved it! Fabulous food, friendly staff, speedy service, reasonably priced ~what's not to like? Loved the decor with the hanging flowers, makes you feel as if you're outside on a warm terrace in Italy rather than inside on a miserable November evening in Boro! (the wine may have contributed to that tbf 😅) thoroughly enjoyed our evening.

We had a lovely family meal at Olivello. The atmosphere was excellent and the staff welcoming. We all enjoyed our food. I would recommend.

I recently visited Olivello in August with my family. The whole experience was very good. From the minute we walked in we were welcomed at the door and the service was very fast. I will definitely be returning!

Food was lovely. Had a seafood pasta dish and it was tasty. Friend had fish with a herb sauce which was beautiful. Staff were attentive but not pushy which was good.

Travelled two hours just to come for a parmo this weekend, and we always call in at Olivellos! I can never bring myself to having a Sunday dinner, but they look incredible! Chicken Parmo always wins it 😃

Excellent restaurant in Middlesbrough. Large party of us seated no problem on a Saturday night. Food was piping hot and amazing. Nothing was a problem for the staff. Would definitely recommend and look forward to our next visit.

Had dinner tonight at Olivello, the restaurant has a nice ambience with modern decor however the food and service didn’t match the restaurant. Claims to be Italian food but there is certainly nothing authentic about how they cook the food, average is being generous. Service from the men in the restaurant was poor except for the kind lady that finally got my bill after asking for it a couple of times after asking one of the men. I left ore than half of my food, nobody asked me how my food was and it was obvious to see other customers not happy with food getting sent back to the kitchen.

Variable food, some excellent and some less appealing than expected. Prices slightly above average, so a fairly ordinary pasta dish was around £14. Atmosphere a bit lacking as it was very quiet when we were there on a Tuesday evening. But that said, well probably go back

Love this place quite often as it’s really near where we live the food is great. The service is always brilliant. We sat outside this week just said that the music playing is just a tad too loud to be able to have a good conversation.

I had a beef burger which was delicious. I'm going back .

We went for our anniversary, the staff were so accommodating and friendly, the food was lovely and the atmosphere great. The vegan ravioli was spot on! Will definitely be back.

Had our family of 13 in there last week in for a birthday meal. Think everyone was happy with meal sadly I had food poisoning by saturday dinner time and looking back thought my Hot shot parmo was a bit cold at the time. Everyone else enjoyed their meals tho

Came here for a catch up with a friend.we hadnt booked a table even though it was the wkend but nothing was to much trouble..there was plenty of choice on the menu but ended up with a parmesan which was lovely.the only niggle was that you had to pay extra for any side orders.it was abit pricey but i suppose thats normal nowadays

Came in for dinner on my own, very lovely staff , good food. I had the N’duja calzone.. . They don’t have that on the Menu. However the lovely waiter made it happen ! So nice and friendly. Top notch. Recommended.

Came here for a meal with work friends. The meal was nice and staff friendly. The deal was £16/17 for a main and starter, which was good. (Just wish there were more starter options as some on the main menu were appealing but weren't able to get them in the deal) I had: Hummus for starter. Parmo for main - I had a topped parmo (paid an additional £2 I think it was), which was nice. The Bbq sauce was a bit too overpowering though, that's all i could taste. The chips were delightful! I would still recommend this place though, as there wasn't anything I disliked.

One in our party ordered a small can coke zero which was always £3 outlandish I know. We call again a week later and was charged £3.25 WOW! I HAVE NO WORDS! Is this legal!

Love this place we come at least once a month. Staff really nice and polite . Food beautiful. Steak cooked to perfection every time

Lovely meal, quality and quantity were both excellent. We chose from the tea time special menus so we expected the portions to be on the small side but they certainly weren't. We had a seat in the window which was good for people watching. The service was exceptional as well. It made it all made for a very enjoyable experience.

Went for birthday restaurant was very busy with lots of birthday parties so maybe food was rushed but wasn't nice was very much looking forward to desserts they looked awesome nope stale microwaved cornflake tart £8 was not nice sticky toffee pudding was burnt then drowned in sauce hoping you couldn't tell my cousin was rather disappointed as was her birthday

Love this place, food always great

Parmo was over cooked. Stake was like rubber. Burger had no flavour. I would only go there if you had too. Sad because the staff are amazing and the place is lovely.

Nice place, good food and good for couple date nights

Went in for a quick meal on Sunday. Bit disappointed really. Food wasn't great considering the price, fish and Mediterranean veg very oily, the chicken for the parmesan was pretty poor quality. Nice restaurant otherwise l, service ok, and nice to have locally.

First time visiting, with my brother with Down Syndrom, staff were amazing with him. Very quick service and amazing atmosphere.

Nice, but let themselves down by charging £1 for extra gravy for my Sunday lunch.

We have been here many times and we haven't had a bad meal or service ever.

Excellent quick service had chicken gambini but sauce fairly bland and only 2 prawns, shrimp in the sauce veg almost raw, otherwise enjoyable

Went for a birthday meal tonight for my daughter. She was half way through eating her meal when she bit into a piece of glass! Staff were apologetic although my daughter was made to feel uneasy as they kept saying that they did not know how it happened as they do not have any glass in the kitchen. They did not charge for her meal and gave her a free drink but I find this totally disgusting. The restaurant was very busy and other meals were not to the normal standard which was disappointing, we will not be returning

I visited on the 15/02/2024, The service was very good, I asked for a nice latte and this was served within a few minutes, the atmosphere was calm and relaxing, the decor is of a very high standard, the seating is leather with unique stitching, easy free parking also is quite helpful. I can recommend Olivello.

Decent restaurant,cool and expensive decor .The reason for my low review was because of the food ,I ordered nachos they were a bit too crispy on the top (slightly burnt) apart from that the rest of the dish was fine but for the price i paid I wouldn’t get it again

Been tonight for mother in laws 75 th birthday. Staff were brilliant ,courteous, attentive and friendly overall a great night .and bar staff great too.

We had a large party and was fantastic with last minute add on's. The food was amazing and the cocktails was on point. Brilliant staff and atmosphere. Will go again.

Nice restaurant. Lasagne was great, and so was the tiramisu. I had a nice dinner and the ambiance was lovely. WiFi was no good, please bear in mind in case you are planning something like a virtual date night.

This is one of the finest Italian restaurant, or just a fine restaurant in the area. Food was genuinely really good, tasty and well prepared and presented. The service was outstanding, great staff and everyone was smiling and saying hello. This small thing makes a massive difference to the customer experience. Highly recommend Olivello. My first time here yesterday brilliant place food was fantastic I got the parmo original I couldn't eat it all and believe me I can eat my wife got sea bass and our son got a pizza the food was superb the service was excellent will definitely go again

Excellent food but I had an issue as mine contained spice, my fault as I just assumed the tomato sauce would be sp8ce free, and did not tell them of my allergy, I would return

Food and experience was 5*. The desert was a let down. £7 for a microwave sticky toffee pudding? Would definitely return for a starter & main...

First visit and was impressed by the welcome and range of food available. Food and drinks arrived in timely intervals and was very reasonably priced. Would definitely go again.

The only thing that spoiled it was we were not offered dessert or coffee after our meal.

Great birthday meal for my wife accompanied by the family. A La Carte and Sunday lunch menus both available. Sunday lunch is substantial. Lamb rump was fabulous. Great service with smiles 😃.

We booked a table for 13 adults to celebrate my birthday. The booking was for 8 pm but we didn't get our starters untill nine. The manager apologized for the delay because they were busy and gave us a bottle of prosecco. This was a nice gesture but didn't go far for 13 people. The mains took around 45 minutes to come si it was almost ten pm . I had ordered a fillet steak with prawns requested medium rare. They brought me a sirloin steak which was well cooked and dry. They did offer to take it away and make me the fillet steak but buy this time I just wanted to eat so said I would have the sirloin. Everyone else enjoyed their meals so 10 out of 11 isn't bad. The place was busy but it is not good enough to leave a table which had pre booked to serve walk ins first. I wouldn't go back with a large group again but will try it in a small group and see how they do. Staff were all friendly and efficient and the venue was clean and well presented. I returned for a meal in a group of five. The place was full but the service was quick, efficient and friendly. The food was excellent. Such a difference from my last visit. If they maintain this degree of service they deserve high praise.

Hands down one of the best parmos in Middlesbrough. The parmo with rump steak is incredible. Customer service is brilliant and the place is beautifully set out. Definitely coming back.
