Olivello Ristorante in Middlesbrough

It was my first visit here,after it was recommended.I will definately be going back in the near future.We were welcomed,by the lovely staff,who couldn't do enough for us.We were offered blankets,and the heater was lit,as we had to eat outside,due to restrictions.It was comfortable,clean and spotless.We didn't have to wait too long for our food,once ordered.It was very well presented,and tasted delicious.Rhankyou Olivello's,we will be back soon.

The veg parmo was really disappointing, it was quite small (only done one size although more money £13) a handful of chips with no salad.. I wouldn’t recommend the veg parmo and won’t be having again, my partner ordered a pizza, it was cold.. we won’t be returning.

So today myself and a good friend went for a mate date. We ordered our food...potato skins, parmesan and sticky toffee pudding for dessert. Food was gorgeous. Parmesan was devine but wow for the sticky toffee pudding. Only complaint was one jug of custard and my friend sloshed it all on and even put her spoon in so i never even got the dregs haha. Cocktails....singapore sling. Poor waiter was mortified when i asked if it was meant to be salt round the glass and he said no it is meant to be sugar. It gave us a giggle. The long island ice tea is divine. My mate loved the wkd cocktail.Will definately be returning. Friendly staff fast service and fabulous food.

Ordered afternoon tea for two for Mother’s Day and was really impressed Excellent service, lovely food and beautiful presentation- would definitely recommend it

I ordered food for collection yesterday, and it was the best thing I’ve eaten in lockdown. Ordered pizza, burger, nachos, halloumi fries, and potato skins. Everything was perfect. The staff are always so friendly, food is incredible. Couldn’t recommend this place anymore.

Ordered food from here on Saturday night, have got to say, for a takeout, the food was amazing.We ordered 4 sirloin steaks, mussels and the ultimate burger, the steaks were cooked to perfection, my Son loved his burger and the only complaint was that my Wife said she could have had a few more mussels as they were so delicious!!From the phone call, to collecting everything was brilliant, the food was still piping hot when we got it home and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal.Thank you Jamo for sorting and a bottle of red was on offer with the steaks, can’t fault this place.Would 100% recommend Olivello’s and can’t wait til we can actually visit the restaurant again

Second time here, first since covid struck! The food was excellent both times, as was the service. This time was especially good value with some of the order being from the happy hour menu and children eating free. My steak was fantastic! Very few people in which is a sad to see but a sign of current times. I personally watched one of the waiters wipe down every inch of a table and seating after customers left, staff are doing everything expected of them safety wise. We look forward to eating here again, great place

Hand gel at the door and check in desk. Nice staff who give you a warm welcome. Good menu with lots of choice. Tables clean and food is always very good. Good drinks menu including fun cocktails. Well priced and we will be back.

Called in at lunchtime for a quick bite. Great lunchtime offer / menu and the food was freshly prepared. I’m actually writing this while waiting for my pasta dish to cool down. Will definitely come again and probably at night to test atmosphere.

Visited here with the family on a Monday evening during the Eat Out To Help Out scheme. The place was packed but we were given a choice of tables and chose one right at the back around the corner which was a little quieter than the bustling main part of the restaurant. We decided on starters & mains as prices here are reasonable. I went for the tomato based mussels for starters and beef stroganoff for main. The mussels were really good and the beef stroganoff was somewhat amazing! Really tender beef and probably the best I'd had! Rest of the table was slightly jealous despite enjoying their meals also!Will definitely return here in the future,

I have been here several times now and the food is always amazing & the service is great. The fillet steak was cooked to perfection and the parmos are always fantastic.I'd definitely recommend but try to book in in advance as they fill up quickly.

Had a lovely meal. Food was delicious. Staff were very polite. Everytime a table became free the staff were straight over to disinfect it felt very safe .

We visited for my son's birthday. Usually you find that one waiter/waitress is assigned per table, but we had multiple people serving us. This meant that there were a lot of crossed wires. For example, we asked for a birthday menu to get my son a cake with a sparkler, but no-one re-visited the table for us to order it. It was a great shame seeing as we were all really looking forward to it during our visit. People were wiping the surfaces and getting ready to close the restaurant two hours before it was due to close. Although the sea bass was gorgeous, we were told that there was only one left. This is really disappointing seeing as we had our heart set on that one dish!

The food was tasteless.. I wouldn’t recommend the Parmo. I’ve had a better tasting Bernard Mathews turkey steak Got a ‘WKD Daiquiri’ which I didn’t know was a blue WKD with ice and a sparkler and was £10! When I asked the man at the counter about this he decided to break down the price of the ingredients in front of me on a piece of paper and claimed that the melted ice reduced the alcohol content? This man was rude, defensive and his customer service was sh*tAfter all that he decided to overcharge us..

Booked afternoon tea for a birthday a week in advance and paid the deposit in advance as requested. Arrived at the venue at our booked time to receive a phone call whilst waiting to go into the restaurant. We were told our reservation was no longer booked in as we hadn’t paid the deposit (why it had taken until our booking time to inform us this I am not sure) Spoke with staff in the restaurant and explained we had in fact paid the deposit 5 days ago. We were then told numerous times they hadn’t had this and we were shown the booking system. Eventually after trying to prove that we had paid, they accepted that they did in fact have the deposit in the safe and this was the restaurants error.We were seated and then told the afternoon tea had not been made up for us but the girl ‘would do it for us’ as if they were doing us a favour. 30 minutes later Afternoon tea arrived. Sandwiches average, cakes nice however Shop bought scones from the bakery next door (confirmed by staff when we suggested this was the case).Over all disappointed! They did knock two glasses of Prosecco off the bill however we would of gladly paid for these if the customer service hadn’t been so bad at the beginning.

Me and my husband visited Olivello restaurant last night the parmo was beautiful and the frerro Rocher cheesecake was the best cheesecake I was ever tasted!! We had a couple of cocktails I did get brought the wrong one which straight away before I even had chance to say anything they brought mine out and gave us the other free of charge which was lovely. Will definitely be returning thankyou to all the staff for been so attentive

I was looking to try this place for a long time as I’m aware Some of the Geordie shore cast regularly go so thought it must be good for them to come to Middlesbrough for, so when the eat out to help out offer came out we thought it was the best time to try, we ordered starters (mine was bread and olives, my boyfriend got the belly pork) and it took 45 minutes to come, now I know it’s busy with the eat out to help out but 45 minutes is a long time to wait for a starter, yet the table next to us who had turned up just minutes before us a table of 5 had both starters eat all that got their mains all before our starter came. Our starters were lovely but then our Parmos came out (we ordered the special parmo with onion, pulled pork and bacon on) and it was the wrong parmo so sent that back and then we finally got the right parmo. I asked for a knife as mine had got taken away with the other Parmos I sat and waited for a while my food getting cold we called the waiter again who had forgotten about my knife. The food was lovely, I probably wouldn’t get the parmo again as I’ve definitely had a lot better but I would try again when the offer isn’t on

This was the first time I have visited Olivello, it definitely won’t be the last! The food was fantastic and the portion size was amazing. I ordered a burger with cheese and bacon and it was delicious! Sides were lovely! Service was fine but abit slow, however it was very busy inside and the staff did the best they could. Would definitely visit again!

Family meal, had food from happy hour menu. Food was good quality, starters were big portions, would probably just get 2 to share next visit. Service was good and left to eat your meal. Parmesan was good, not greasy. Pizzas were very nice as were chips. Onion rings could have been more crisp, but overall very good!!Even better at half price, well worth full price.

Dishes are tasty and very impressive! Lovely atmosphere. We had afternoon tea and it was spectacular.

I came here for my birthday last night and i just wanted to say thank you. The staff were lovely, the food was amazing, the raspberry bellinis were out of this world. The staff took the time to make my birthday special, putting sparklers in cake! It was a lovely meal; the fillet steak melted in my mouth and was cooked to perfection and I couldn't come away without a dessert so had to bring a cheesecake home! I would recommend it to anyone!!

I just want to say thank you to all the team that were on tonight especially the young girl who took us to our table and took our order she was lovely! The food was amazing and so were the drinks! The tables were well spaced out due to corona virus and all the staff wore mask but we didn't feel like we were being rushed like in some places. Can't wait to return

Ordered a takeaway ( including delivery ) for 21:00hrsOrdering process was made simple by extremely helpful staff. We paid by card over the phone so there was no need to exchange money with delivery driver (taxi ) Food turned up at exactly 21:00, was delicious, hot and big portions.This was our first order from here but will definitely not be our last.

Awful basic food delivered, always avoided it as it was too far from town so decided to try it delivered and was disappointed

I simply wanted a nice meal with my family, without the stress of cooking it, on Father’s Day. So I had delivered a mixed meat Sunday lunch with two children’s chicken meals. This was a dreadful decision I am sorry to say and possibly the worst Sunday lunch I have ever encountered. The quality of the meal was substandard and when I voiced my complaint, the guy on the phone “Jamo” was even worse. He clearly stated my expectations were too high? Very very poor as you can see from the photograph. My planned day with my children has been ruined. Frankly I expected more for the prices charged.

Ordered this meal at OLIVELLOS at 6pm tonight for 8pm delivery by Boro Taxis. Total cost £27 for a takeaway meal that is the same price as a sit in meal? Absolutely freezing cold. Was subjected to total abuse by the person on the phone ( said he owned the establishment ) you should not be subjected to this abuse by a owner as a customer is always right. Used this place for many meals but will not visit this place AGAIN. I am not a moaner but total disrespect by a supposedly professional person boiled my blood calling me a liar and swearing at me. To whoever is involved in this establishment you are welcome to message me and I will gladly explain the total ignorance and pathetic people who have no management skills who are working at your restaurant NEVER ever go to this place againSHAME ON YOU OLIVELLOS

We were so happy when olivello’s announced they were re-opening during this difficult time (we had previously had a lovely meal there in 2019). We saw some offers on Instagram so decided to pre-order for collection later on that night. We ordered 4 pizzas- 1 gluten free and 2 pastas- 1 gluten free (both were on buy one get one free offers) and 3 portions of chunky chips. The total should have been £40.35 (however we knew it would be slightly more than this as we added mascarpone to the gluten free pizza). When my partner arrived to collect he was charged over £70. My partner advised that we got the buy one get one free offers and the response was that the deal did not apply to different pizzas/pastas and they had to be the same. This WAS NOT stated on the Instagram offers post, nor was it advised on the phone. In the end my partner saw a deal stuck on the window for 20% off for key workers so he asked for that. The total then came to £48.20 luckily. We then arrived home and I opened the boxes of food. The chips that we had were not chunky chips as advertised, they were frozen chips. One portion was extremely small and I would not justify paying £2.50 for them. In addition to this 2 of the pizzas we received were gluten free, not 1 of them as ordered. I understand confusion can sometimes arise, however, my order was repeated to me on the telephone when I pre-ordered and it did not state 2 gluten free pizzas.Despite not enjoying the chips, the pizzas and pasta were lovely. The gluten free food was one of the best pizza and pasta dishes I have ever had. But unfortunately despite this we won’t be returning as the offers were not advertised correctly, meaning we would have had to pay over £20 more due to a lack of information in the beginning, the chips were falsely advertised as being chunky chips when they were frozen and the order was incorrect.

Thanks to the the team at Olivello’s for staying open and trying to sort out the service side during this times. The food we ordered was delicious! So what if its in a takeaway box, doesnt take away from the fact its still delicious food. You are supported. Im sure im not alone in saying that.

Got a take out 2 4 1 deal, parmos should have been labeled pay full price get 2 half portions it wasnt great no veg or salad and garlic was over the top on vinegar. I hope thats not what you get when you pay full price.Fish Pasta dishes were enjoyed though

Went as a family for a birthday meal one Sunday. Good menu and the food chosen was good. Service efficient and I'm sure we will go again

4 of us visit Olivellos last night. It my first first time going and I was a bit sceptical as I had heard mixed reviews. I was so pleasantly surprised, fantastic friendly service, no long wait time on food or drink orders (considering it was packed out!) and really tasty food. I will defiantly come back, thoroughly enjoyed by all of us.

The best Sunday roast dinner in town ..we been so many places in Middlesbrough town this restaurant is the best one the service are excellent..we enjoyed very much recommend to everyone looking forward to visit again next Sunday 😉😉

Visited Olivello for a late valentines dinner (we visited on the 15th). Although it was super busy, staff made us feel super welcome and were checking up on us. Ive never seen the place so full! Yet service was still quick! We shared calamari to start which was ok - a bit rubbery for my liking but partner enjoyed it. For my main I had the Seabass which was absolutely amazing! Definitely the best main course I have ever eaten at a restaurant! Thoroughly enjoyed it, was presented beautifully, tasted amazing and portion size was perfect. My partner had the veggie calzone which was hugeee! But he enjoyed it! I also got a drumstick squashy cocktail which came with a firework candle thing! I only expected this on birthdays but they were putting them in everyones cocktails this night! We then shared a Ferrero Rocher cheesecake for dessert which was also amazing and im not usually a cheesecake fan! But this was lush! I couldn't fault the whole experience. Amazing food, quick service, friendly staff, amazing choices on the menu, good prices, perfect setting inside.10/10Cant wait to come back for the seabass again!

We had starters of halloumi fries, potato skins and chicken goujons, all very tasty. Followed by delicious Sunday roast, substantial portion and very tasty. The ultimate parmo went down well with the other 3 in our group.

This was our 3rd occasion visiting Olivello Ristorante however I will now never return. My partner ordered chicken Parmesan which was gorgeous on our previous visits however on this occasion the chicken was very undercooked and rubbery. I spoke to two members of staff who said they will speak to a manager and nothing was done or said. I asked for the bill which was brought and I mentioned to the cashier behind the till that the chicken was rubbery. He then very rudely interrupted me and said well you ate half the parmo which we did not we cut it up however did not want to eat it, because it did not look edible. She did not want to ask for another as it put her off and she then ate some of my food which I couldn’t fault. The manager was extremely rude and dismissive. Such a shame as we once rated this place very highly.

8 of us went for a birthday celebration. Had a great time. I had calamari followed by salmon, both very tasty. The staff were all fantastic and provided Mount Vesuvius for the birthday cake.

I went here with my daughter ,son and his girlfriend, what a great place to eat, the staff and great and the food was out of this world ! Myself and my son had parmo and my daughter and Aimee had carbonara.. great price too .. if your ever in Middlesbrough you should give it a try and they do a fabulous afternoon tea x

Loved it, so fun ,staff amazing,food a bit pricey, but we had so much fun. I will definitely go again (i recommend the marbled steak with Himalayan salt). hope you all enjoy it !

Came here last night for a family meal, nice atmosphere,staff attentive, only complaint was we had mussels for starters, the bread which accompanied was a normal slice of bread cut in 4 pieces, not homemade as stated on the menu, only 1 tomahawk steak available much to our disappointment , not cooked medium rare as stated as chefs recommendation but otherwise ok

We have been meaning to try Olivellos for ages but never got round to it but tonight we did.

The staff were lovely, my colleagues were happy with their food. Can't fault everyone else's meals, but they can't make a risotto. I'm awkward to cook for, I can't eat cooked cream because it makes me ill and I won't order takeaway food to eat in. My risotto was not a risotto, wrong rice to begin with, so couldn't eat my main. I did not have to pay for it, so no harm no foul. The staff were lovely and accommodating, however I can't fathom having to cut up your own pizza/ garlic bread. Overall I had a good night but I just wish we'd chosen a restaurant with a better chef.

25 of us attended Olivello for our work Christmas party, we had pre-ordered our food so took the hassle and of everyone deciding what they wanted and we could just relax and have a drink while waiting for the meals. A few of us ordered the Christmas cocktail tree which looked brilliant and the Christmas cocktails where amazing. Our starters came out and every one of us enjoyed them. Most of our mains where Christmas dinners and we really enjoyed them, the meat melted in your mouth and the veg was delicious. Only half the party got desserts and where really happy with them especially the Christmas cheesecakes. The atmosphere was lovely, all the staff where so friendly and helpful and nothing was to much trouble for them. We enjoyed the restaurant that much we ended up staying an extra 2 hours for more Christmas cocktails. Definitely definitely will be coming back to Olivello and we have all already agreed Olivello will be getting booked for next year Christmas party, most of us will be regulars by then Hahahah. Thank you Olivello for making all our night amazing

My friends and I came here for lunch - food was well priced and so tasty (I had the calzoni) - the portion sizes were great too. Our waitresses were also very attentive and lovely - thanks for making it such a nice meal!

25 people attended and the staff were fantastic, well organised and nothing was too much trouble. The food was very good and the evening passed without a problem.

First time visiting this restaurant, well the whole experience was carnage. Booking a table a month ahead and 2 days before we were meant to arrive the restaurant only just decided to let us know we needed to pre order, once i rang and said i have the pre order ready i then had to e-mail it too which again i was unaware about.

Lovely food, great customer service. Will definitely be returning. We enjoyed our meals & the staff were very accommodating providing us with hot water so I could warm my baby’s bottle up. Thank you for your service.

4th visit in 2 months, booking 5th today. Been for son's 13th birthday with his friends, evening meal with hubby & with our 4 children (aged 12 to 25 years). Food is plentiful & delicious, even for fussy children. Staff were lovely, even with a group of 13 year old boys. Price very reasonable, especially Happy Hour. Atmosphere is fun & pleasing, not too large a restaurant so pleasant, attentive staff. Oh yes...DELICIOUS cocktails!! X

Very pleased with this restaurant. Service and staff was very good as well as the food. The evening cost for five adults meals and drinks was really good value. Will be going again shortly and also going for breakfast on a Sunday. It was not too busy from 5.30pm to 7.30pm which was good!

Fantastic experience ! We came for my boyfriends birthday and there was 12 of us and the service was brilliant all the food came out together and there was no issues ! The food was great and so was the atmosphere.... we will definitely come back again !

My daughter and I were visiting Middlesbrough for the first time and found this fabulous restaurant: it had a young lad singing who was really quite good. The food was amazing and the service brilliant: it wasn’t rammed but there were plenty of other guests enjoying themselves.

Now we payed a visit to this restaurant with a so called good reputation and how disappointed we where.

I had sea bass, my wife had salmon . Both were perfect. Service was excellent, staff great. Wish it was near where we live (visiting from the south )

we had a family meal here for my granddaughters 15th birthday the food was lovely and service was very good. it was a bit pricey but worth it . would recommend this place to family and friends .

Been for Sunday lunch, it was beautiful and very reasonably priced. My husband had the vegan option pasta which he said was nice. Plenty of vegan choice, be nice to see some vegan deserts. Definitely worth a visit whether is for Sunday lunch or the main menu.

Have a fabulous meal here before our night out in Middlesbourgh both starters and mains were excellent and staff friendly and very efficient. The atmosphere was buzzing and the drinks were flowing great restaurant all round. Will definitely return.

Myself, my husband, Sister and brother in law dined at Olivellos for lunch today. Olivellos is one of my favourite places to dine in Middlesbrough with my husband and I wanted to share the experience with my Sister and brother in law. We all chose different starters, the garlic mushrooms are lovely as always, the aubergine fries could have apparently been thicker so you could enjoy the taste of the aubergine more, the other two dishes were highly received. As a vegetarian I love that there are multiple choices on the menu, I would however love to see a delicious creamy pasta rather than 2 tomato based one's. I'm a huge pasta fan so it would be great to see 2 diverse sauces. The mains were of a good size, the mushroom risotto was huge and packed full of flavour. The chicken dish was apparently beautiful and the 2 dishes the men had (vegetarian parmo and the surf and turf parmo) were great.

Went for dinner here with the wife and the brother in law and sister in law. Even more veggie and vegan options than before, knew what i wanted straight away and even better the veggie parmo was on the happy hour deal. It was gorgeous. Got the house red wine which was also top notch. The young lady that served us was very patient and polite while we took about 3hours deciding what we wanted. The pregnant sister in law got the alcohol free mocktail and look at the pictures it was spectacular.

Just been here for my nieces baby shower....this is the best place I have eaten in the north east for a long time!! Service was brilliant from the staff, very prompt and friendly. We weren’t rushed at all, there was lovely music in the background and when it became stuffy there was refreshing air conditioning. Decor was lovely: The food was absolutely amazing (I’ve attached pics of what we had) and for £19.95 per person was brilliant!

The food was delicious and fresh we order linguine pasta with lobster on it and chicken ,cheese and prawn soup for starter,tiramiso and cheesecake as dessert .it was so tasty definitely will go there again

Went for an early meal and had the special menu and the food was lovely. The dessert was nothing to shout home about and I thought it was rather over priced. Would recommend this restaurant.

I reviewed this restaurant a few months ago and gave it 4 stars. I'm sorry to say that I returned on Saturday afternoon and was very disappointed. My wife and mother in law both had the chicken parmo and remarked at the time that their chicken was tough and chewy. The topping was also unpleasant and glutinous. It was obvious that they had been pre cooked, then nuked in a microwave! This resulted in belly ache and a sleepless night in both cases. It's such a shame that olivellos has gone downhill so rapidly.

My partner and I moved just down the road and this is now our local, we practically live here. The food is amazing and so is the staff, manager and customer service. The food is great value for money and it’s always our first choice. Don’t go on silly reviews about moody bread as I’ve had they garlic bread and it does have herbs in it and it’s certainly not mould and it’s delicious. Their lobster linguine is my ultimate favourite and the chick forno is my partners. Well worth a visit.

Went here for a celebratory meal and drinks for my partners birthday. Starters were fine and nice and then we came to our mains and my partner was served mouldy garlic bread, not noticing until biting into it she was totally put off her food and couldn’t eat it. We went on to complain but not to make a scene, simply to notify them so they could put the situation right and was met by the most arrogant manager you would ever meet, arguing black and blue that it was mould even when 3 ladies on the table next to us agreed. Totally disrespectful with his attitude at a problem that could of been really easily solved. Would really not advise anyone to use this restaurant. Went on their Facebook page to find you can’t leave reviews on there, so I posted on the page to find that they have just deleted it instead of dealing with it. Shocking on all fronts, stay away.

Been waiting a while to try this place and finally went this evening, on my birthday. Started well, nice cocktails & great starter. Went downhill once we received the main, I ordered the lasagne which comes with a side of garlic bread. Extremely moulds garlic bread. I have never complained at any establishment in my life, and I am not one to leave a review. The mould, wasn’t seen at first but tasted! To say it made me feel sick was an understatement. However I still didn’t want to make a seen but understanding was completely off my food which I hadn’t even started because lasagne is extremely hot so I opted to start with the garlic bread. I called someone over, happened to be the managed, to point out the situation. I thought at most I would be offered a new meal or a free drink. My partner was happy to eat his meal so I was happy to drink and wait for him to do so. Not the case at all! Manager proceeded to cause a seen and argue with me, and the people sat next to us. He refused to admit it was mould but instead said it was the herbs, sure anyone can tell the difference between small herbs and mould. The people sat around us agreed it was mould as did another waiter. Manager still argued it wasn’t before crumpling the garlic bread up so no one else could take a look at it. Then had the audacity to say oh whatever I’ll take your meal off the bill if I must, if I must!! I couldn’t eat it. I’ve browsed through Facebook only to find A LOT of other bad reviews, mainly about the manager and including mould being found previously. Their own Facebook page doesn’t allow for reviews, we left a post which was swiftly deleted & we were blocked from their page all together. Think this says a lot. I honestly would have been happy with an apology, probably would have returned and definitely wouldn’t have left a review! The manager couldn’t run a bath, he’s completely ruining the place. Please don’t waste your money or time like I have when there are much nicer places with nicer staff a stones throw away.

My boyfriend and I eat here almost once a week. It always seems to be first pick when deciding where to eat. After managing a high end restaurant for 13 years I find it difficult to find a good laid back place to eat that doesn’t forget about the importance of great service and good products. For me this place has everything just right.

Absolute first class experience from start to finish, excellent staff providing fantastic food at competitive prices, really impressed with the whole experience and will definitely be visiting again soon, will certainly be recommending to everyone we know, thank you 👌👌👌

We, as a group, visited Olivello's 4 weeks ago for our daughter's birthday and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

This was our first visit... and it won't be our last.... arrived around 6pm as was greeted by the waitress... promptly seated and given menu's..... we decided to go for the early bird menu which had a great choice for the price.

We visited on a Sunday lunchtime to celebrate my daughters 10th birthday.

We had my daughters birthday meal here on Friday night and the food and service was absolutely excellent. The staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Can’t wait to back!

Came here as a party of 13, it was a disaster from start to finish, took 15 minutes to get drinks (we had to ask twice). Then the food. The pizza was absolutely shocking, it had all the moisture sucked out of it before it landed on the table, it was like a frozen pizza from Iceland, my partner for the Parmesan and that was a a solid 4.5/10, chicken wasn’t great bech wasn’t bad and the cheese was processed crap. We tried it, we wouldn’t return.

Been here before midweek early evening.Couldn't fault food or service (happy hour menu).

We dropped in for a light snack before going on to the theatre, there were four of us so ordering a sharing anti pasti, olives and a garlic bread (and a pudding?)seemed like a reasonable idea. We were asked about drinks three times in as many minutes and the food appeared promptly. It was very well presented and massive! The meat selection was very good but it was clear that we needed the doggy bag. The leftovers fed two other members of the family for supper; have to say it was good value!

I’m so shocked at the customer service we received here. I found a hair in my food which I had hardly eaten it and the waitress did apologise and offered to replace the meal which was good but it had put me off eating anything else. My husband waited for about 20-25 mins for a drink he asked for and when we got the bill my meal hadn’t been taken off so we questioned which I think was the manger (small man) why it hadn’t been taken off and he was abit blunt with us and said he didn’t know which was fair enough but then when we went to pay for the bill I said to him I wasn’t very happy with the service we received which he then turned around and said he didn’t need the attitude off us which we really didn’t have an attitude and he then said that’s fine I don’t need your business which then a lady at the door heard and said what you doing being ‘Chewy’ which I then said we weren’t and I found a hair in my food for her to then offer me out for a fight on the front of the restaurant??? Saying she worked there and it was her husband we were talking to (the manger I think) I was so shocked and will never return to the place as it was disgusting and embarrassing. Oh and for her to say ‘what you want discount can you not afford it like’ which was an insult, service was absolutely shocking I will be making sure none of my friends or family will be going there if they’re going to get shouted at, screamed at and offered out for a fight there not a nice restaurant.

Arrived for a meal around 7pm, place looks the part & was fairly busy. Took a while for our drinks to be ordered, then food order was a while after that.

We came here for a friend's birthday last night, the majority of our group got a parmo and we weren't disappointed. This is a really good restaurant with great food, great choice, friendly staff and the beer is top quality. Already looking forward to coming back

We had the event room booked for our kids' football awards evening. Lovely staff,great drinks and a lovely room. The food was fab-the goat's cheese and balsamic pizza was amazing!

Booked a table for five of us to celebrate our two daughters birthdays. We have been before and enjoyed it. However, what a change!!! Waited 45 minutes for our starter, the restaurant has an open hatch into the kitchen, during our wait one chef was constantly on a 'phone, one was busy larking about and licking a knife not at all professional or encouraging about hygiene standards. Food was mediocre, butter had obviously been kept somewhere hot as there was absolutely nothing but goo inside the pack. One of our party had a vegetarian salad which was just leaves. Definitely will not return.

Amazing food, beautiful decor, average service but I will definitely be back. The waiting team could learn alot from the guy that was running the host station, hes got a great personality and very welcoming.

First time visit today and very happy. Friendly staff and quick service. Food really nice and a lot to choose from with reasonable prices and also a happy hour menu. Well worth a visit 😊

It started with a waitress opening the door smiling and greeting our party of seven. Steaks pasta, pizza and parmo were ordered. Service was excellent, the good was well presented and cooked to perfection. Overall a very enjoyable dining experience.

Excellent food, excellent atmosphere and wonderful drinks. Nothing too much trouble staff really helpful and friendly with a wonderful sense of humour. Good night all round. Reasonable prices.

Wow 10/10. Amazing food. Fabulous hospitality. Visited Twice in 24 hours - highly Recommend lasagne, original Parmesan, breaded aubergine starter, plus child’s meal Burger. Absolutely amazing and can’t wait to return - a gem in Linthorpe Village Middlesbrough.

The service was atrocious, rude staff giving me dirty loiks, the food was even worse. Stale bread and outdated olives for a starter, followed by the parmo, it was luke warm,not even sure it was cooked. Such a waste of money, never going to return.

Attended for my birthday meal with family. I love love love the blooming onion starter that they serve however on this occasion my onion didn’t open properly and they had to make a second one so by the time my starter came everyone else on the table had ate theirs and been sat waiting a while. I didn’t mind having to wait but we had to ask a few times before actually been explained to what the delay was. However - every other part of our visit was a positive. Food was definitely worth the wait and would definitely come back in future!

Visited here as new experience rather than go to big chain restaurants and wont be going back to big chains as this was a lovely restaurant with lovely staff and amazing food.
