The best restaurants serving Italian food in North East

Absolutely blows me away. Everything there sell is cooked to perfection. 110% Love there food and I'm fussy. Quick service friendly staff and food is absolutely incredible.

Called in on a wim. Really impressed with the food. Two courses for a tenner. Garlic mushrooms then chicken giro with the nicest home cooked chips I’ve had in a long time. All washed down with a nice mythos. Deffo be back

We spend much more money in this place than I’d like to admit. After tonight’s attempt, I don’t think we will bother again. My daughter’s zinger burger was freezing cold in the middle and my pizza was overcooked with the cheese burned. Meals in the bin unfortunately.

Delicious well-made food combined with a warm atmosphere and lovely staff made for a great evening. We were seated at the bar on a busy Friday night but still had a comfortable time and could order from the full menu. The menu highlights included the Parmesan soufflé and the freshly made doughnuts with crème diplomat and rhubarb (from the specials board), which were hot and fluffy and a great way to finish the meal. Highly recommend the rhubarb paloma as an excellent cocktail alongside all the food. A satisfying way to spend an evening!

My friend and I visited Prima Pasta for lunch. We had the two course special(15.95) which was amazing value for money. I had a Mexican risotto which had just the right amount of spice, with tender pieces of cajun chicken. My friend had the veg lasagne which was also very good. We were served by the Manager, and he told us about the cheesecakes on the menu, which were from a local small business, and were delicious, so we made space for raspberry and white chocolate cheesecake which was amazing!!We will definitely be returning to Prima pasta, it was definitely the best meal I've had for a while, and excellent value for money.

Santoro’s has always been my favourite restaurant and I was concerned when I went online to check the menu today and saw some really poor reviews. My husband and I have been tonight and had the most delicious meal. The service was great, very friendly and caring but not overwhelming. Thank you to everyone at Santoro’s, keep up the good work and we’ll definitely be back.

Decent food and very reasonably priced and good selection for all courses. Excellent service and a fabulous atmosphere. It was very busy and had a good buzz. Very boujy as my kids would say. We reserved on-line and was all easy.

This was a very lovely family run cafe , food is freshly made, staff were very attentive, ice cream is freshly made on the premises to an original family recipe .

I’ve never rated an italian restaurant trying to do a Sunday dinner. But gave this one a go and cannot fault it. Absolutely gorgeous and cracking portions sizes. Worth every penny

Reservamos para la cena antes de un espectáculo en la ciudad, con mucho tiempo para comer y luego disfrutar del espectáculo. Después de ser mostrados a nuestra mesa, nos sentimos muy apresurados a tomar nuestras decisiones. Más de una vez tuvimos que pedir que nos dieran tiempo para tomar decisiones. Cuando llegó la comida era muy agradable, no hay problemas con eso. Luego tuvimos que esperar 25 minutos, sí 2 minutos para que nos dieran el menú del desierto, que pedimos después de nuestra red. Finalmente llegó y tomamos nuestras decisiones. Lamentablemente otros 25 minutos de espera para los desiertos, que fue un minuto o 2 después de que decidimos rendirnos e ir al espectáculo. Claramente un problema de personal, con aparentes "cancelaciones tardías"? Solía ser un muy buen restaurante, pero ya no. No volverás
