The best restaurants serving Italian food in South Tyneside North East

Reasonably priced food and a good selection is available. The cheesy garlic bread and pepperoni pizza were really nice. The chips were a decent portion size too. The lady serving on the till was friendly and the shop appeared to be very clean. We will return.

I’ve never not had perfect food and service when visiting this cafe. The deserts are great, the specials are delicious and there is a lovely atmosphere. Prices are very reasonable for the quality also.

This is my 2nd visit to this wonderful restaurant. 1st time was at a family wedding reception and today for a family birthday celebration and I can't wait to go back! The decor is beautiful the place is immaculate. The food is absolutely amazing and cooked to perfection, the portion sizes are fab. The management and staff are all very welcoming and so friendly, they all work together as a great team. They are also very knowledgeable about food content and allergies. I would highly recommend a visit to this hidden gem, you will not be disappointed. Thank you to all concerned. Xx

The Best Italian restaurant in South Shields !

Below average restaurant, Below average food and the manager is rude and obnoxious with no people skills and no idea how to run a business. A positive though is the other waiting staff who were lovely but who seemed scared by the managers bossiness. Such a shame. Needs a new manager to make this place more personable and improve the food.

First time at Mamma Mia and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was delicious, the restaurant had a nice atmosphere and the staff were very friendly and polite. We will definitely be back.

The best carbonara I’ve ever had. All meals lovely and friendly staff. Pizza dough cooked to perfection

Tea time come super Oil they cook the fish and chips in is disgusting Lots of choices but if they use the same oil as they cook fish and chips in that will spoil the meal totally

Gallo Nero is firmly on our treat nights list and has been for a while. Penne Bolognese and a meat feast pizza with skinny chips. Delivery was quick and food hot. Enough for two meals and money off, win win.

This food was good & different, a lot of veg and non-veg options on the menu. Tasty food, just the right amount of spices, exactly the way we wanted. Great ambiance and clean restaurant. Mo was our server and he attended us well. Will visit again!

From the first moment when I stepped into the restaurant, I was deeply impressed by the atmosphere in the room, and the friendly and kind staff, the divine food, I felt exactly like in Italy, the chef Zia was excellent, although I had some special requirements, the menu was delivered exactly as I wanted it for both myself and my children. RECOMMEND WITH CONFIDENCE. Unfortunately I can't give more stars, if it were up to me, I would give 10+.

Came here last minute on a sunday as we fancied an italian over a sunday dinner. Restaurant was quiet due to it being a sunday but got busier through our meal. Service and food was impeccable; kids meal was huge for the very reasonable price; the pizza and pasta I had was great. A must visit in South Shields.

I bought chips and kebab meat with 3 garlic sauces Only one came so missing 2. Its first timevits happened lost out on £1.60
