Been several times previously with no issues tonight however.....waited a ridiculous length of time for the drinks and starters, noticed several tables also not happy with the wait time. When the food arrived it was nice but we were now put off by the wait. After the starters we were still waiting for the main, fillet steak, 30 mins later. I asked the waitress if there was as issue in the kitchen because of the wait only for her to shout across the restaurant "table 13's complaining ". An absolute disgraceful and unprofessional way to behave. I approached the owner to complain and to tell him we were leaving, I paid for the starter and drinks and left with no apology. About an hour later the owners wife phoned to apologise, it should've been her husband who apologised as he was there when it happened. She then came to my house with a bottle of wine and a £20 voucher, although this was a nice gesture it was too little too late. An apology from the waitress and owner at the time of the incident would've been more appropriate.

Lovely little restaurant with a welcoming atmosphere. Friendly service and beautiful food. Portion sizes and quality fantastic value for money. Drinks very reasonable. Second visit here and brought with us more family and friends to enjoy also. Most definitely will return thanks Italianish.

We came to this restaurant to celebrate my Son's 13th birthday. There were 16 of us altogether ranging from 3 years to 66 years. We all had a superb time, we had lots of various dishes which were all beautiful. We didn't wait long at all for starters, followed by mains and some dessert. Drinks were brought out within minutes of asking for them. All staff were so friendly and polite, nothing was a trouble to them. I honestly couldn't find any fault at all with this restaurant and most definitely will be back as will the rest of our family. Highly recommended. My new favourite restaurant by far.

Had a beautiful meal here before going through to Sunderland to see a show. We all opted for the happy hour menu, some choosing the potato skins which were amazing. The mains we had were pizzas and pastas. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Pizzas cooked perfectly and pasta so tasty. Staff were really friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. We will definitely be back.

The best Italian/ Spanish restaurant I have ever had, I never want to go to another Italians again, South Shields has hit lucky to have this diamond located on Ocean Road. I have been twice in the space of a week and it is now my new favourite restaurant. The tapas tastes out of this world and is presented gorgeously. The guy running the restaurant floor is very polite, welcoming and can make an amazing cocktail.

Visited with family for my Mother’s birthday and once again we had a fantastic night. This is the third time we have visited and we have always had an excellent meal. I chose the Meatballs as a starter and the Mixed Seafood, Chicken & Chorizo Paella both really tasty. I love the choice of the menu which features the best of Italy and Spain! The restaurant offers great value for money especially during happy hour. As well as the great food, what really sets this restaurant apart from others is the excellent service. Friendly and attentive the manager (or owner?) makes sure everyone is enjoying their food. He also makes a fuss of the children and they love coming to the restaurant not only for the food but for the service too. My son loves garlic bread and rated his garlic bread and cheese 10 out of 10! Overall I would 100% recommend this restaurant and it is now firmly one of our family favourites.

Called in on spec with my wife after reading the menu outside. Inside was modern clean and comfortable. Staff friendly. Starters were beautiful. Potatoes skins were well cooked and the portion generous, very well presented. Mains was Pollo Romanetta. Chicken was hit and tender but the blue cheese sauce could have done with a little more flavour. My wife was very impressed with her food and wants to go back, which I am sure we will.

This is a perfect little place that offers so much variety. We had been last summer so thought we'd try this again and were NOT disappointed. Staff were very attentive, food arrived promptly, even though it was a busy night and their food tasted exceptional. I love that every time we go here there's something different we can try and this is our favourite place to go - those cocktails were excellent too - Many thanks :)

Visited this restaurant with family members to celebrate my partner's birthday. The restaurant is cosy has a fantastic atmosphere. It's relaxed . Food is stunning with service to match. One of our party has a severe nut allergy and we were told the kitchen was small with the possibility of cross contamination of some of the food as they do use nuts in some of their dishes. Rather than telling us that we shouldn't eat there because of this the waitress who stated she was a trained chef said she would cook my partner's meal from scratch and use all fresh ingredients to make sure no nuts would be present in her meal. They really did go above and beyond to accommodate us in every way. I would recommend this restaurant 100%.
