Caffe Di Bella in South Tyneside

I’ve never not had perfect food and service when visiting this cafe. The deserts are great, the specials are delicious and there is a lovely atmosphere. Prices are very reasonable for the quality also.

Great coffee and food, best cafe in South Shields, very high standard of cleanliness, friendly efficient staff always clearing tables and cleaning.

One of my favourite cafes to visit. It’s got a cosy atmosphere, it offers delicious hot and cold drinks and the service is always friendly and happy to help. The only gripe I have with this cafe is that the food tends to be quite expensive considering what is on offer, other than that it’s a pleasant place to enjoy a drink and relax for a while. Generally it can be quite busy here too, but once you’ve found your seat and settled down it’s a nice place to wind down.

Best coffee in all South Shields. Always pop in when I have a free hour. Atmosphere is lovely and staff are so nice. Highly recommended

Raffa is a lovely warm friendly guy and his coffee shop staff are 1st class . The food and coffee is lovely.

Visited on Friday morning to get breakfast and coffee. Both were great. Smoked salmon and feta cheese salad and smoked chicken panini, something different than English breakfast. The best coffee I had in ages

the bar is good, the people are kind, but the only problem is that it opens very late, I often pass by that street on my way to work and I want to take coffee with me, but it is not open yet. This schedule is intolerable, all the more so Italians at work in Italy coffee bars open at 5 in the morning.

Owned by two brothers, thus us the cheeriest, friendliest and cleanest place I’ve eaten in fir ages! The Chios are from Loch Fyne chippie next door which they also own and run. Best Chips I’ve had in Scotland! An absolute gem

Always pleasant and friendly. Bacon sandwiches were less than hoped for. Bacon was over cooked and somewhat leatherlike. Shame cos otherwise as good as we're used to.

We went as family to have superb Italian/Sardinian sandwiches, salads, cakes, unbeatable coffee and we have traveled extensively throughout Italy over many years. Di Bella serves the best coffee outside of Italy. The friendly service makes this coffee shop our go to destination twice a week

Lovely cafe. Good range of hot breakfast and lunch items. Plus excellent selection of cakes and ice creams. Decor is cosy and clean. Plenty of tables and still spacious too. Staff friendly and attentive. Prices very reasonable for the quality of the food. Photo of strawberry tiramasu which was delicious.

It's a lovely place to go to meet with friends and family. The coffee is delicious as is the food. The staff are really friendly and efficient. It is kept very clean and also very safe adhering to all the current regulations due to Covid

Caffe Di Bella is our first port of call when we visit South Shields. The most amazing cakes ever. Coffee is exceptional. Lovely atmosphere. If Caffe Di Bella was in Nottingham, folk would be queuing for miles to get in.

This is the best Gluten Free cafe in North East. Italian cakes and facies. Oh and the staff are exceptional.

We have lived in France and Italy and on moving back to South Shields finding cafe Di Bella was a dream come true. The coffe is excellent, the Italian pastries remind us of Italy and service second to none. Wonderful Italian cafe.

I have been to Cafe Di Bella twice now with my Wife , first time for a coffee and cake and second time with the addition of soup and a toastie . I have to say now that we are both coffee connoiseurs and visit many coffee shops in the Sunderland and South Shields area and certainly know what constitutes a decent cup of coffee . Well we certainly have found it at the Cafe Di Bella because the coffee is " second to none " , it is obvious that the owner certainly know what they are about . The cakes and snacks are also very tasty and reasonably priced which makes it an added bonus ! I will also have to say that the service is first class , quick and friendly , so what more can you ask for in a local coffee shop . We will definitely be returning for a nice coffee in pleasant surroundings . Message to other coffee shop owners , pop in for a coffee and learn how it should be done .

Cafe du Bella is warm and welcoming. The decor and furniture of a very good standard. The staff are, at all times, pleasant and helpful. The food is absolutely gorgeous, I have never had anything here that has disappointed ! The cakes are lovely. The coffee is also of a very good standard. It is always a pleasant expert coming here. Only negative is everyone else seems to think so too. So it is always busy. Superb!

I came here with my granda for a spot of lunch, having never been before but read all the reviews online we decide to try it. The caffe is a beautiful place with a lovely atmosphere. We had the special festive panini’s which came with crisps and salad, everything was delicious! If you decide to come here and try anything then definitely go for the white hot chocolate!! I’ve never had anything like it before. Definitely recommend coming here :)

5 friends visited for lunch to celebrate an 89th birthday. Delicious food and drinks (especially the hot chocolate) nice atmosphere. Wish I had found this cafe sooner. The other reviews say it all ! Go and try it you won't be disappointed

Good solid coffee and food. Sandwhich was really tasty and looking forward to trying a different one next time. Only thing lacking is cake choice - nothing grabbed my fancy. Although will try next time if there is!

My friend and I enjoyed a delicious lunch. We had smoked salmon on tasty cream cheese with capers, tomatoes and salad leaves on focaccia bread. This was under£5! We had very good coffee too. It was beautifully presented and served. The atmosphere was warm, friendly and welcoming. The menu was extensive and we look forward to trying other dishes. The staff were friendly and obliging.

Best cafe in South shields, bar none. The quiche is simply fantastic. The coffee, exquisite. Warm atmosphere and extremely friendly staff, I cannot fault this place.... Except perhaps that it isn't open 24 hours!

Great coffee and outstanding cakes

We had a lovely lunch here. Beautiful panini with plenty of fresh filling, I had goats cheese and roasted peppers which was amazing, fresh side salad and crisps. Lovely coffee and fabulous selection of cakes. Highly recommended!

So, you travel the world, discover Europe and all it has to offer, you live abroad and think you know it all. You have a bean to cup coffee machine at home and search out the best of the best. You walk into a little cafe with promise in South Shields and are served the very best cappuccino you have ever had. Just get in there and tell me I'm wrong. These guys are the real thing, and I can't wait for tomorrow morning to go again.

Popped in whilst out for a walk in the sunshine. Light and airy with pleasant music in the background. Ordered two cappuccinos quick service and niiiiice coffee well priced and well presented by friendly staff. Must pop in again soon.
