Da Vinci in South Tyneside

Booked Christmas dinner with family, four adults and four kids. Table was beautifully decorated, dinner was absolutely lovely - everything cooked to perfection ( and plenty of it ! ). Staff were very friendly and very efficient. Couldn't find fault if we tried - even came away with a couple of tupperware boxes of vegetables for a fry up on Boxing Day. Well done to everyone for a wholly enjoyable meal.

Great food & atmosphere in friendly , cosy surroundings . We all picked from the happy hour menu and food was very tasty . Gave 4 rather than 5 as we had to ask for more sauce for 2 of our friends as their chicken came with not much alla crema sauce on it and it took a while before it was brought out to them . Would definitely recommend eating here apart from this as we’ve been here lots of times previously and not been disappointed .

Awful cold food with a long wait! Ordered two pastas and drinks. Good job there can’t mess up a pint of coke! There’s many other Italians on ocean road so please choose a better restaurant and spend your money wisely! Complained about the food as we did not eat it. Manger was extremely arrogant and rude, we were made to pay but will obviously not be returning!

Lots of restaurants to choose from on this street. Nice welcome by owner. Starters were okay but not amazing, calamari was just okay. Half pasta and pizza option was a great idea and tasted really good. Overall enjoyable but not amazing, good value for money.

Tonight Was Our First Visit To DaVincis on a Sunday.

visited here with my partner for his birthday and was disappointed to say the least. The pasta had very little taste although my partner did say his steak was okay?....As regards to the service, it was annoying, as no sooner had i put my cutlery down the plates were whipped away, i was asked 4 separate times if everything was ok with the meal which was quite irritating, and when eating the main course i thought id stop for a few mins for a rest, yet as soon as my fork was put down the waitress came from nowhere and started to take everything away, needless to say i wont be returning.
