The best restaurants serving Italian food in Gateshead North East

Splendid! Excellent food and lovely company. We all enjoyed our whole lunchtime. I would recommend the carbonara especially.

Great value, good food, friendly staff.

We have visited four times and each time had a really fantastic meal. Lovely wine and service from young adults who are polite, professional and really well trained. The atmosphere is lovely and especially nice for my dad who is hard of hearing and can still pick up the conversation as it’s not too noisy. Highly recommended

Checked website, which stated the restaurant was open from 12-10pm. Got there at 3:10pm and was told by owners that it did not open until 5pm. Explained that the website showed differently! The owners stated this was only weekends. I think owners need to update the website with the correct openings!!!

We come everyweek as the food and staff are lovely would 100percent recommend Food is beautiful every time we come Staff couldn't do more to help

Por un corto periodo de tiempo las sabrosas comidas servidas por italianas de Santi pero luego volvió a un fish and chips". Se puede comer en el lugar, pero sólo pizzas son italiano.

Lovely lunch at Ask Italian. We both had pasta mains which were good potion size and tasty, fettuccine bolognese and carbonara. Deserts good too. Quick and polite service from Steven.

Amazing chips, pizza and garlic

Went to rosa twelve for Xmas Dinner, definitely the worst Xmas Dinner experience me and my family have ever had, the starter came out quite quickly ( a tiny piece of toast half the size of a beer matt with pate , we then waited 1hour 15mins for our main to arrive which consisted of 1 carrot 1 parsnip a spoon full of mash hidden underneath a piece of luke warm turkey and two frozen sprouts and 1 frozen stuffing ball , I personally would of walked out and asked for a refund but didn't want to upset things on Xmas day , the only reasonable conclusion is that they hadn't ordered enough food for the amount of people and had to ration the meals , they also ran out of lager by 3 o'clock, terrible experience allround

We waited to be seated on Sunday lunch time despite all of the top floor being empty. The decor is nice and it does feel fancier than some of the other Italian chains. We shared the Cromer crab arancini starter from the specials menu which was very good. My partner opted for the calzone which was large, well risen and packed with filling. I enjoyed the stick pig pizza which is essentially two flavours, both of which were delicious. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The food was high quality and very tasty, this was reflected in the price which we found to be quite steep, especially for a chain/shopping centre . £17+ for a pizza. £8 for some starters and puddings.
