Rosa Twelve in Gateshead

Fancied going out for an intimate meal with my fiancée and decided to go to Rosa Twelve based on reviews and friends. The place looks small from the outside but it's spanned over 3 floors and exquisitely set. The atmosphere is perfect for any occasion, the team have flawless customer service skills and the food is incredible. I would recommend the lamb kofta starter, better than any kofta I've ever had and I e had a fair few. We had the steak and salmon and working in the industry, you can tell when something is freshly prepared with passion. Absolutely loved it, highly recommend and will be returning ❤️

What a huge disappointing disgrace. The girl who took our order was so miserable and unpleasant. She seemed irritated at being there, never mind doing her job, taking customers orders. Just as well we did not have any dietary issues. She got our order wrong. The young lad, who served the food, politely took the food away. Three of our children ordered pizza, a very small, bland pizza was served. Two other children ordered pasta, which did look nice. Our steaks arrived.... Barley warm, tasteless, greasy and a good half inch of grissle. Half a tomato, 1 mushroom and a few warm, dry chips. A very small portion of peppercorn sauce, at an extra cost of £1-50. We ASKED for our plates to taken away when the ice-cream arrived. There was service charged of over £9 which we we're not made aware of. Certainty was not earned. It's not the first time we have had terrible service here. It doesn't seem at all professional or experienced place

More than 4 years since my last visit but we had a lovely lunch on a Saturday. The food was great – potato skins especially and the veggie pizza was delicious. Prices reasonable and staff friendly. Look forward to a return visit soon.

A big birthday for Mum and her friends in early January. Due to the size of the group we were asked to pre-order. We were also told of the birthday cake cutting charge which, in view of the amount being spent, seemed a bit ridiculous. It seemed as if everybody enjoyed what they had which covered happy hour options and many more a la carte options. My pate was OK. Did enjoy the unusual pasta tandoori. I’m told the lamb shank is good! Staff were generally OK, without exactly acknowledging the big birthday celebration.

Went here for a family meal on Boxing Day. Lovely food and attentive staff. Plenty of options for vegetarians and staff are always willing to adapt certain choices to suit your taste. This is the third Boxing Day in a row we have dined here so I think that speaks for itself.

We booked a table on the 17th December for six people for 2 o'clock on the 28th of December turned up and was closed till 4 o'clock explain why we were not contacted So we went to the bank the lady in charge took our number for yous to contact us still waiting the food in bank so disappointing burgers were awful not fresh so spoilt afternoon I will wait for a response?

Table booked for six of us at 6pm, table service was excellent, food lovely, in fact all was great until the bill arrived, we quickly worked out who had what (bill was itemised) and got our money/cards ready to pay only to find we were £18 short in our calculations, went through it again, has someone not paid??? Then noticed at the bottom of the bill, an "OPTIONAL" service charge had been added.... not very optional as we weren't asked or informed about it. The fact that we all had to pay another £3 each is irrelevant (we were each going to leave £3-£5 each as a tip on the table anyway) it's the fact that the choice wasn't given. They lost out in the end as we then didn't leave anything extra.

Had a lovely relaxing meal at the weekend with my sister, who was visiting from Holland. The food was perfect, and the staff were friendly and very welcoming. Will definitely be returning soon ... thank you 😊

Attended an 18th birthday on Saturday the 21st October. The bar man who was very attentive and efficient was a credit to your establishment. He was just a young lad. Such a breath of fresh air 😀

My friend and I came for lunch as we love the food here. For our starters we had the hummus to share, followed by the chicken kiev and pesto pasta which was absolutely delicious as always. We were served by Mickey who is an asset to the place and an absolute treasure. Service was 5*, food was 5* and we had a really enjoyable afternoon! Will definitely return 😊

Nice restaurant, great food and service

This was my first visit and it certainly won't be the last, the staff are very welcoming and the customer service was first class. Great selection of drinks and the food was exceptional - looking forward to returning soon.

Soggy skins not crispy at all, pizza average & forgot to bring Pepsi we ordered, £14 for two courses compared to £5.95 for 3 courses at Primavera which is excellent hot food with great service.

Had a lovely meal as normal could not fault it...only thing was the charge of £10 for bringing our own birthday cake in.dont get me wrong I can see charges for plates that were used but ten pounds was more than a bit steep.

A lovely little restaurant in Low Fell serving good food. I found it a little noisy due to there being quite a few children, plus loud adults 😉 Why do people not lower their volumes in public places any more? We went in the middle of happy hour, so to be expected there would be children and they were well behaved. The portion sizes were ample and the food was good. Service was good too. I'd encourage the restaurant to offer more veg choices on the happy hour menu, was a bit limited unfortunately. Definitely be back. (There's a very handy car park two minutes walk away, free at night!)

Food tasty. Service quite good but menu is very misleading. It quotes happy hour as all day. When bill arrived, full prices had been charged. The server said that happy hour finished at 7 o’clock when both menu and website clearly states happy hour as all day sun - Thursday. Poor show!!

Went for my sons 14th birthday with family. Good service and good value if you get the happy hour deals. However, i was very disappointed with being charged a £10 fee for a staff member to bring a cake that we brought with us to sing happy birthday. I have never had this before anywhere else so was a bit surprised! otherwise it was okay .

Staff were lovely, the food hot and delicious and we didn't realise it was Happy Hour, even so the portion was more than enough, the place was busy and had a lovely buzz about it, we really enjoyed our tea there, we'll definitely be back soon 😁

This was my second visit to this restaurant and on both occasions the service and food were first class. On this occasion I chose from the £15 3 course happy hour which had a good choice of starters, mains and dessert. I had garlic mushrooms for starters, followed by pollo chicken and a generous slice of chocolate fudge cake to finish. We had a group of six people and all were well satisfied with their food.

We went there for my birthday as we were staying for a few days with family at Team Valley near Gateshead. Staff, food & restaurant were excellent. We would definitely go back if were near it.

Very poor. Called in advance about gluten free options for me wife and was assured there was lots of choice. When we get there the server really didn’t seem confident with what the options are. She ended up just getting a GF pasta as a “safe” option. Wasn’t so safe, ended up ill through the night. I went for the lamb shank, overcooked to the point of being like dried out leather. Very disappointed.

Wow wow food loverly staff wonderful just one thing please if you are have bad legs please book a downstairs table as there is stairs no problem with wheelchair access and disabled toilets downstairs too 😀

Good menu selection, with happy hours, table d'hote and chefs specials. Our meal was excellent. Great friendly service.

We had a 50th Birthday party there yesterdsy. The staff were professional and polite at all time. We had our own bar service too. The room is mirrored on one wall so reflecting into the room, makes it have a feeling of even more space. It holds around 50- 60 people. We had a mix of Indian and italian food. Which was way too much in quantity per head. All the food was amazing. Profitorolls with chocolate sauce with ice cream to finish the day. Well done team. You made the day special

Been several times before and enjoyed it but on this occasion- Service far too slow for everything, attended on other patrons even though we were there first, took forever to order drinks, then ages to order food etc. My advice to restaurant don't take bookings you can't cope with.

Held my husband's 70th birthday in the function room. The room is ideal for 30 to 40 people, buffet style. The buffet food was amazing, bar service excellent and all staff very helpful. Highly recommended and good value for money.

Food was excellent and nice and hot. It also stayed hot. Service was a bit slow, but not sure if that was just because it was very busy. As for the atmosphere, it reminded me of bring in a pub during a football match. It was very loud.

Been a few times and always been happy with the food. Good selection of beers and spirits. UPDATE 2022: Changed quite a bit, whole place has been redone. Service is very good.

Popped in on the off chance that they had vegan options because we could sit outside with the dog and was pleasantly surprised that they had vegan cheese for pizzas. The food was very good as was the coffee (option for soy milk but Iwent with black).

We went in on the off chance of a table this evening not long until the kitchen closed and the staff were amazingly accommodating. Service and food were incredible and highly recommend the steak Thursday special, lovely food and atmosphere

From the moment you walk into to Rosa 12 you are greeted with a sincere and warm welcome, which warmed my heart immediately! Taken to our seats and offered water and a drinks menu. Then the food!!! Absolutely amazing. We shared 2 antipasto for entrees....

Awful meal. Rosa twelve has gone down hill recently. Ordered halloumi and salad but the salad was pretty none existent. Ordered chicken Kiev for main, which wad the worst I've ever had in my life. It was so tough I could not get my knife through it. Mentioned it to the waitresses and atleast expected an apology from the chef but nothing. There are a number of nice places to eat in Low fell/ Eighton Banks with far superior food so avoid this one like the plague!

There are a number of really nice places to eat in the local area and this isn't one of them. This is the second time we've been here and the food was poor, we wont be going back. To start we ordered Haloumi with salad...

Fab selection of pizzas and pasta and very reasonably priced for Happy Hour. Well worth a visit. Some lovely views upstairs at the back of the restaurant 👌

All very mediocre. Expected it to be better. Wouldn't rush back. Pleased it was a happy hour deal and not full price. Younger staff could do with some training. Seemed to lack confidence but were very pleasant.

Always love coming here! Food is excellent and very reasonably priced. Only real let down for me is the friendliness of the staff who really don't look like they want to be there and were a bit arsey when we requested no bacon in a carbonara for a picky child.

Awesome food, atmosphere and staff! Rosa 12 has a long history of creating memories. My friends and I are regular visitors and this place never disappoints. We love popping in for drinks, quick lunch and have attended few memorable functions. Always fabulous thanks R12.

We LOVE this place. The service is second to none, super friendly, attentive and welcoming. The cocktails are amazing, far better than I’ve had at cocktail bars in Newcastle city centre and the food is wonderful. We’re local to the area and always find ourselves...

Good food choices, helpful staff

Sunday lunch was lovely. Wide selection of veg huge yorkshire pud, plenty of meat and gravy. Our Granddaughters meals were just smaller portions of ours. We all had a desert which finished the meal off. Staff were friendly and food was served quickly. We will definately be back.

Very nice Italian meal. Pleasant surroundings.

A fairly poor experience unfortunately. 1) A dish ordered as GF was brought out with bread on it. When this was pointed out the dish was taken away and the same dish brought back with crumbs all over it. 2) Some of the waiting staff were very helpful and friendly, others were sullen and didn't seem interested. 3) One staff member told a member of our party to "Watchyourself" as they reached over them for a dish. Not very professional. 4) The only thing that some of the staff were concerned with was taking glasses away as soon as possible. They clearly don't have enough glasses.

A short notice visit with my parents - food was excellent well cooked and tasty. My mother was pleased which quite made the night - service was very efficient - we had a mix of standard menu and special.

Food was wonderful the service was great even though they were busy. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Highly recommend it. Will be going back again soon.
