Great food and service. Chris was excellent in serving us as a family of 3. Very Busy but nothing was an issue. On a Thursday kids eat for nothing as long as an adult pays for a main meal. Well worth a visit

Food is really good cannot fault it, but the service is amongst the worst in the north east!! 20min wait for a table even though 8/9 tables free, not acknowledged by staff management just stands at the pass ignoring the restaurant, tables sit dirty for 10+ mins at any given time, hot food & coffees passed over kids heads rather than walking to other side of the table. Unless you get your server good luck everyone else ignores you!! This has happened multiple times, will look for alternatives in future

waiter came over with a miserable face, complete ignored my order and only took my friends orders. when i told her she rolled her eyes and walked away. food came, wasn’t worth what we paid. my friends pasta pomodoro with mozzarella and it had a hair in it!!! absolutely disgraceful. we told the same waitress with the miserable face and she didn’t even apologise just walked off with the plate. won’t be coming here again. what a let down 😡

We arrived with a baby then the waiter seated us to a high table where we can’t use the high chair so we asked for an other table the table was disgusting, sticky and dirty I cleaned it with baby wipes I really doesn’t wanted to make a scene we were waiting for ages. Then finally someone came and asked if we ordered then take our order. Simply 2 coke without ice and lemon and a tea with lemon. They brought out the two coke with lemons and ice, the tea arrived without spoon and sugar what we asked for we told them that this is not what we asked for.. then they brought out the right drinks after ages. Took our order. Then we noticed how dirty are all the glasses so we asked to cancel our order because we rather leave. Even the cancellation was like ages too. We paid £11 for the dirty drinks they were clearly not drinkable because of the dirt! This was ridiculous!

An amazing experience and lovely food at Bella Italia at the Metrocenter. The prawns in garlic sauce with mozzarella sticks were wonderful! My favourite. 😍 🤪

Very expensive for very little food, we payed £58 for childs pizza which was about 8" garlic bread which was very small not enough to share between 3,very small bowl of meatballs which looked like they came out of a can, and a beef ravioli thing,ok if you like pizza but definitely not anything that represents Italian food

Found was tasteless carbonara was horrible was like pasta placed in a dish of water no taste at all wen I told the girl she said I wasn't the first to say that today but was still left to pay full amount Left still hungry and was so expensive for the amount and quality of found definitely wouldn't be going back

No words. £16 for this caeser salad. I never complain, I really don’t, but today I was not paying that. Waitress the most miserable person I’ve ever encountered. Lovely stuff.

Visited here yesterday with my partner and daughter. Myself and my daughter both ordered bolognese but what arrived was basically watery pasta with barely any sauce. After asking, the waitress brought us a pot of tasteless bolognese sauce to pour on. My partner ordered a chicken dish which unfortunately arrived with cold fries, again, the waitress brought more but the rest of his dish was very disappointing. We did mention this to a waitress who brought the manager over to us, he took our feedback and knocked a substantial amount off the bill which we did appreciate. I must say, all the staff were great, we really couldn't fault them. It's just a shame that the food was so bad. In hindsight, we should have left and not bothered eating there but never mind, lesson learnt.

Visited Bella after shopping in the metrocentre. When seated the service was very fast for drinks and they returned promptly to take a food order. The food was hot and tasted delicious! We ordered the goats cheese pasta (definitely getting this again next time) and the nduja pasta with a side of garlic bread and green beans. Everything was spot on, no complaints at all. The only thing letting it down was after finishing the meal we were left for quite some time asking for the bill. And once given it had to wait a further 20 minutes to pay so we ended up missing our train.

We were served by Kayleigh, she gave us an excellent service. Will definitely be coming back :)

Our server Dzeneta was amazing. Very attentive. Knew the menu inside out and explained a couple of things that we needed verified. Also managed to upsell the garlic bread and tiramasu to us. She is a credit to your company.

Thought that we’d give Bella Italia a try, it’s been years since I’ve been. We ordered the larger portion size from the children’s menu, for my daughter & her friend, 11 yr old. The photos of the pasta & pizza shows how tiny they were, I didn’t get the dough ball starters as they were only two and both were devoured in seconds. Needless to say, the girls were still hungry, even after the minuscule brownie, which came with a caramel sauce, not mentioned on the menu, which meant that one of the girls didn’t eat it sadly. I had the prawns, which had plenty in the dish. If there wasn’t any chilli in this dish it would have been bland, it was filling though and my friend enjoyed the meatballs. ** make sure that if you order a spirit drink, be specific if you want a single or double. We were not asked but charged for 8 doubles, even though we’d only had two drinks each. Tasty as they were, definitely not worth the added charge that we didn’t ask for. Our waitress did sort it for us but it took some time as the lady in the white jumper (we assumed a mgr) was useless, so our waitress was helpful. As much as I love Italian food, we’ll try the other options next time we’re in the Metrocentre.

Good starters, pizza lovely and light. Carbonara was so watery it tasted like you were eating plain boiled pasta! Quick service and polite staff.

This was our first visit to Bella Italia. We were not disappointed. The food and service was excellent. A special mention must all so go to our server Dzeneta she was very polite and courteous. The service was amazing, the food delicious but there is room for improvement, specially on the desserts that lack presentation and portions are too small for the price charged.

Bruschetta was rather salty for me calzone pizza was weird a lot of ingredients and there wasn't much squid in the parcels. Service was good and caprese salad was lovely

Had dinner at Bella Italia last night, and honestly, it was such a great time. The vibe of the place is warm and laid-back, perfect for a casual meal or a night out with friends. Now, about the food – it was seriously good! I ordered some pasta, and it was fresh, flavorful, and cooked just right. The pizza? Crispy crust, tasty toppings, and not too greasy, which is always a win. You can tell they put care into making it, and it shows in every bite. The staff was friendly and checked in just enough without hovering, which I appreciated. Absolutely lovely experience! Me and my wife were served by Tatiana who couldn’t have been any nicer with us, made us feel right at home and the food was delicious!

Food was great, we really enjoyed the mushrooms and bruschetta starters, followed by spicy sausage and pomodoro pastas. Only downside to the meal was the service was quite slow and we had to keep trying to catch the eye of a member of staff to ask for drinks and the bill. Would've been better if the 'order at the table' had been working. But still enjoyed our meal.

We were told by a friend that this restaurant applied a 25% discount for forces and blue light wich I checked on line before going. We were greeted by a gentleman and asked if they did forces discount ,he said they did blue light but not forces discount, I told him I had checked on line he then asked for proof so I showed him proof from my mobile he said it wasn't policy but would give us 20% so we were showing to a table. I ordered spaghetti Bolognese my husband ordered pizza the Bolognese was bland with very little meat in the sauce, my husband said his pizza was bland we didn't complain as we were embarrassed at having to haggle for discount, we ate Our meal and went to pay the bill. Stopped for late lunch/early t,found a booth seat and ordered from menu within minutes,good prompt service and getting busier here but plenty of reliable staff to be seen,food decent and drinks fine just thought maybe sides order maybe quantity on the smaller side for the price especially fries.prices bit expensive but we seen menu before we sat.would reccomend

Lovely atmosphere, very friendly staff. Unfortunately there’s a but, food was very nice but the portions are very small I had dough balls to start they were tiny which want the problem just the portion size the garlic butter was fabulous but not enough dough balls to eat it with. I also had spaghetti bolognaise which was nice but again really small with a measly dollop of sauce mixed in. My daughter had the spicy sausage pasta which looked very nice but boy it was very very spicy so much intact she had to leave it. Compared to other Italian food chains this wasn’t the best.

The food was fine, however it is quite expensive for what it is. My spaghetti had hardly any sauce and was very dry. Service was very good and the atmosphere was relaxed. We were sat on a booth at the back of the restaurant which was very pleasant and comfortable.

Went today with friends and they are doing so many offers, we had a student discount which gave us the opportunity to go for more expensive items… delicious 🎉🎉

Called in for an impromptu days night, service was amazing from first minute! Welcomed in by a staff member, who looked after us all night. Unfortunately couldn’t read her writing so don’t have her name to compliment! seated in a nice booth, food and drinks came really quickly, all round great experience

This was the worst experience i have had anywhere eating out. I want to start off by saying i never leave or think to leave a negative review anywhere but today that changed. Me and my partner visited as a walk in around half 7 today (13/7/24). As we were waiting at the host stand it took a while for anyone to acknowledge us, smile or anything despite multiple members of staff making eye contact with us just to look the other way. We would have appreciated even a smile. We then sat down and our order was taken promptly but when the food arrived i was disappointed at the lukewarm pasta with hot nduja as if the past had been left on the side a while while the sausage had been cooking. We also got a garlic bread with cheese to come at the same time which was also cold with a small amount of unmelted cheese. Nobody checked in on us throughout our meal. When the bill was brought to us after grabbing someone's attention we were ready to pay straight away although they walked away and we waited longer to catch their attention again to tell them we were ready. When the bill was paid we walked out and i noticed that the bill on the table was different to what came out my bank. We were over charged by a pound which isn't a lot of money but it is more the point of it all. Overall disappointing meal with staff who can't seem to smile.

I have an autistic son that will only eat a Macdonalds when he is out of the house. We approached the front of house to ask if 4 of us could come in (3 adult 3 course meals plus drinks) him with a Macdonalds. We received a flat NO. Frankie and Bennys however couldn’t have done more for us. I could rant on and on about rights and better understanding for the autistic and disabled. I feel let down and embarrassed at getting turned away. Terrible reastraunt.
