Sambuca in Gateshead

I ve visited the restaurant a few times but I must say ……. The quality of the food has improved massively…… I had the biggest chicken breast in a mushroom/onion/brandy sauce with skinny fries……. The vegetable soup starter which was absolutely delicious with 2 slices of rustic bread was just off the scale …… we decided on cheesecake and I had the lemon …… I couldn’t finish because it was a massive doorstop size ….. tangy and fresh and ….. just lovely …. The special was £18.95 3 course for chicken options which only excluded 2 dishes which had prawns etc ….. the steak option was £23.95 …. Lovely bottle of Pinot Grigio for £19.99. The staff were all lovely and all I can say is….. well done for the fantastic food and welcoming atmosphere 10/10

Once again sambucas at Gateshead was amazing ! I got pizza which was beautiful and some got steaks ! The steaks were compared to miller and carter and they said they were better ! Staff amazing ! Great night please go !!! Xxx

*HIGHLY DISCRIMINATIVE BRANCH* *ZERO STAR RATING* Visited today with our service user who is in a Powered wheelchair. This is not the first time we have dined at Trinity Sambuca but everytime we attend with our service user they are difficult and always try and sit our service user in the back of the restaurant in a cold area where the table is far too low for our service user to sit comfortably. But today has been our worst encounter yet no warm welcome, no consideration for our service user and when we explained the table they offered was unsuitable standing in the middle of the restaurant we were told The were “Fully Booked” Absolutely DISGUSTING we hope you are disgusted at yourselves for giving so much discrimination to a disabled customer who was left absolutely distraught. Every sambuca we visit all the staff are highly attentive yet Trinity Square is letting the whole franchise down with their despicable attitudes. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!

Highly recommend the steak special. Warm welcome from the team from the outset. Beautifully cooked fillet and red-eye steaks with delicious and ample sides served promptly with a smile.. To complete the meal we had homemade biscotti cheesecake. Great food, great service, great prices.

Visited on a Monday night, food was good but the service was too fast!! I felt that they wanted us out as fast as possible which was strange as the place was not busy!. An example of the service was that the starter was served literally 30 seconds after the order was taken, and the mains arrived 1 minute after the stater was finished This created the impression mentioned above Prices reasonable

4 of us ate here on Saturday evening. We were warmly welcomed and served by Sara. She was extremely friendly and helpful and was happy to interact with us whilst stood at our table. She helped to make our night better too Thanks Sara! The food was served fairly quickly, was hot and good portion sizes. 2 of us had never been before, but if we’re in Gateshead again we’d happily return.

Pros Food was average at best Food came out quick Reasonable priced Cons Staff were unprepared and unhelpful Not enough chairs at our table Some staff made you feel awkward when requesting support Overall the customer service from the manager and inexperienced staff was poor! Very unlikely to return.

We found this lovely place by accident, we were in Gateshead for the Brass in Concert competition at the Glasshouse. We found Sambuca at about 9.30pm on a Saturday evening. There was no one else in the restaurant and we were thankful they were still open. Between us we ordered some Bruschetta, deep fried squid and fish cakes , the bruschetta were huge and tasted lovely. My squid was a generous portion and tasted great. The fish cakes were ok. We ordered 5 pizzas and 1 chicken dish. The pizzas were a good size and tasty and the chicken dish was well received. Would definitely recommend and it’s just a pity that they are only based in the North of England

We’ve come here often at weekends when taking the kids to the Cinema next door, always for a pizza and ice cream, pasta etc - the kids are 10 and 7 and it’s a treat. We sat down, ordered drinks, only to be told they had in the past fortnight changed their menu to Sunday Roasts only on a Sunday. Seriously this is an Italian Restaurant- complete with red checked table cloths - what are they thinking? Roast Beef or Roast Chicken plus all the trimmings is all they serve. The kids menu was still on but the 10 year old won’t order from those now. We left and went to Nando’s next door. Unbelievable- we won’t be back

Food unreal as always. We come here quite often for tea time special and it's always beautiful food. Biscoff cheesecake is to die for.

5 of us all had the happy hour 3 courses..potato skins were tasty and the portions great.pizzas/.lasagne/ Carbonara/amatriciana/the marinara was packed with seafood my brother in law told the waiter it was the best he had ever had anywhere..all finished with ice creams..we will be back.Thanks Sambuca Trinity Square.

So it was date night tonight as we havnt done anything with each for sometime as it's been busy life the last few weeks and we went to Sambuca Trinity Square, Gateshead and made a special request with our meal mushrooms. The chef did us proud. It was very tasty the steak cooked to our liking, prawns were a delight and the sauce was delicious. The staff are amazing the atmosphere it's just so warming and welcoming Would recommend to everyone to try here..... 💜

One of my absolute favourite places to visit for dinner. You can’t go wrong with the specials menu but if you want something a bit more fancy they have great dishes like squid, swordfish, tuna steaks etc. The lasagne is amazing, I always have the seafood pizza which is spot on. The soft drinks aren’t branded and so I don’t order them, not because I’m a snob but because I genuinely hate the taste of them. So I just order a line and soda. Staff are always friendly and welcoming and always have a bit of a joke with the little ones. Lovely place to visit.

Where have the old staff gone the new ones don't have a clue don't listen wrong order charged extra for things we didn't have dirty cups but food was lovely

"Customer Service" is not existent. We walked into the restaurant at 5 15pm and it was half full. Me and my partner were stood at the door for 5 minutes before somebody acknowledged us and showed us to a table. We then had to wait 15 minutes before somebody came to take an order. When we said we were ready to order food and drinks, the server said "I only want your drink order" we then asked how long it would be before our food order was taken. The server replied with "aha" We thought we would give them the benefit of the doubt and order 2 cocktails (which the menu states were 2 for £10) to then be told that they HAVE to be the same cocktail. Even though it does NOT say this anywhere so we walked out because the server was not helpful and rather snotty
