Just had lunch with my mum and sister . The food was absolutely delicious. Everyone was faultless but there were 2 standouts- the arancini- best I’ve ever had and the homemade seafood ravioli was outstanding

Giuseppe is a small cosy restaurant full of Italian atmosphere. The menu whilst quite simple was excellent with some daily specials . Our food was first class and the customer service second to none. The Buratta bruschetta and the king prawns were delicious.and the famous Tiramisu lived up to its name !

Guiseppes bistro is one of my favourite places to eat. It’s one of those places you don’t necessarily go for the food (although the food is fantastic), you keep going back to because the atmosphere is so vibrant and exciting. Guiseppe greets you like he has known you for years and makes sure you are looked after from the second you walk in to the second you leave. This is not a one stop place. Be prepared to keep returning.

First time visiting today for a family meal for son's 4th birthday. Excellent restaurant with delicious, authentic, fresh Italian food. Not a single plate with any food left on it! Everything was delicious. Could not fault anything. Very friendly and efficient service. Will definitely be returning very soon! Thank you!

Beautiful food, friendly staff - a real hidden gem. I'm coeliac and the staff couldn't be more accommodating - just ask and they offer to adapt dishes to be gluten free. Looking forward to a second visit already!

This was our first visit to Giuseppe's Italian Bistro and we were not disappointed. We had the garlic bread with cheese and the Arancini for starter which were both fresh, hot and very tasty. For main I had the sausage pasta special and my partner had the calzone, again we were blown away with the freshness and flavours. Tiramisu to finish topped it off as a wonderful meal. The restaurant is a lovely intimate space with a small number of tables. The welcome and hospitality is that of traditional Italian warmth which matches the food wonderfully. Highly recommend and by far the best Italian you’ll find in at least Gateshead, if not the north east.

I discovered Giuseppe’s a couple of years when meeting a friend mid-way between our houses, but despite having multiple Italians closer, we keep coming back here (as do most the people in the restaurant)! Giuseppe is so friendly and remembers returning guests and is great with the kids. The food is fantastic and we’ve never been disappointed with any of the food choices we’ve made. Beautifully fresh and tasty. We’ll be back again soon!

We have been coming here since it opened and we are never disappointed! Giuseppe and his team always take great care to make sure you have a lovely time, birthday hat and singalong!!! The food today was outstanding and I would highly recommend visiting!!

Don't know why it's taken us a few years to eat hear. Staff really friendly and attentive. Place had 2 biggish parties in which sucked the life out if the 2 waiters, but they kept the place ticking over. Pizzas looked amazing We had lasagne which was full of flavour and spaghetti meatballs. The spaghetti was cooked perfectly, the sauce had bags of flavour, and the meatballs so much taste. Booking is advisable as its a small and popular place. Will definitely be back.

First time I have visited this gorgeous little restaurant thanks to an organised WI night out. There were about 35 in our group and every single one of us had a fantastic meal which was preordered before arrival. My starter was generous and beautifully presented, my main was absolutely delicious and instead of having a coffee to finish off, I opted for ice cream (which I very rarely have which I shared with my friend) which was so tasty. Guiseppe and his team were so attentive and nothing was too much for them. I can’t wait to go back again 👍

WOW! We’ve just had the most lovely experience in the friendliest, relaxed, family-oriented Italian bistro ever! Giuseppe is such a welcoming and utterly charming host. Our favourite Italian restaurant. This is our families first choice for all meals out and celebrations! The children love to make their own pizzas, it’s so special that they can take these to the kitchen themselves and wait for the bell when they’re ready! Every dish we’ve tried has been truly beautiful and Guiseppe is the most incredible host! When we have family and friends visit they always ask to go to Guiseppe’s! We can’t wait to return!

Wonderfully friendly Italian hidden in Kibblesworth! We always frequent Guiseppe’s on our annual pilgrimages up North for our Easter break. The host is brilliant with the kids, the food is wonderful Italian fare and the atmosphere is brilliant!

My son and I were visiting family in Newcastle and my son has a restrictive food intake as he has autism/is non-speaking but he loves pizza so he would let you know if it’s not good by spitting his first bite out. He is 5 but he had the adult Margherita and loved every bite. I had the Carbonara and it’s the best I’ve ever had, not too creamy and the bacon sliced up was delicious. Giuseppe’s is in the top 5 and it is for a reason, it’s the best Italian restaurant I’ve been too in a while. Giuseppe was very welcoming to us both and that helped my son settle. We will be back when we are next down and all the best for the Edinburgh marathon in May!

Reasonable prices for delicious food and always a warm family style welcome. I’ve eaten here regularly over the last few years and I’m so happy It’s so close to where I live. The pizzas are traditional and the prices make it an easy choice for a family.

Although my husband and I are regular diners at Giuseppe’s, this is the first time we have booked for the Good Friday Fish & Chips special. As usual, we were not disappointed. The meal was absolutely delicious. Lovely homemade chips, beautiful fish in a very crispy, light batter and a large portion (I ended up giving a third of my fish to my husband). Proper mushy peas and a tasty tartare sauce. All freshly cooked to order. Definitely the best fish and chips we’ve eaten in a long time! Thank you Giuseppe, we really enjoyed our lunch 🙂🙂🙂

Great food really is the best I’ve had in ages. My only complaint was the food came quickly so felt a little rushed and the table and chair was wobbly even after changing tables once. The owner was very friendly and the place was busy. Looking forward to returning and trying other stuff on the menu. The fact the place was full says it all. Thank you. Definitely recommend going.

I booked to take my partner, her children and their partners out for my partner's birthday. Booking was simple, after I'd booked I wanted to see if I could drop a cake in for after the meal. Nothing was too much trouble for them. I was able to drop the cake and candles off in the morning, so it was already there as a surprise. I also took a baloon for the table, which they were happy to look after until the evening. When we arrived, the table was set, with the balloon already in place. The owner Giuseppe, is so welcoming and made us feel instantly welcome without being overboard. We ordered drinks, then had time to sit and chat whilst we looked over the menu. The menu is simple, starters, pizzas, pastas and salads. Personally I hate a huge menu, as I can never decide, so this was perfect for me. The starters are a good size. Everybody loved the starters. I've heard the service can be slow, but we didn't experience that, in fact the time to sit and talk between courses was just right. We personally don't like being rushed, where they are clearing up while you're still chewing, so I think Giuseppe has this just right. The main meals were absolutely delicious and everybody thoroughly enjoyed the food. The desserts looked nice but we were all too full to attempt one. We had a hot drink then our genial host brought out the birthday cake with candles on and already lit, getting the whole restaurant to sing happy birthday. He even had a birthday hat that was plonked on my partner's head. We had a tiny piece, just to finish the evening. (And yes, we gave the staff some for providing such good food and service) 😄 Finally, the bill. Approx £22.5 per head for starters, mains, drinks and a couple of coffees. All in all, this was an exceptionally enjoyable experience from booking, to paying. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

Where do I start. Giuseppe fit me and my partner in last minute, making a space for us on a very busy Saturday night. I've lived in the North East my and entire life and can say without doubt that this is my favourite Italian restaurant I have ever been to. The service and the food were absolutely amazing, but the best part was Giuseppe and the staff (I didn't catch her name). You're made to feel at home the second you walk through the door. I visited the restaurant with friends, for a birthday celebration, first time for me absolutely won’t be the last! The food is simply amazing, you can tell that it’s fresh and made with love. Everyone on the table had something different and no unhappy customers. Potato skins crispy, fluffy and delicious with the side sauces which are filled with flavor. Lasagne - fresh pasta, delicious beef, soft not chewy a great portion that I couldn’t finish unfortunately. The staff are friendly, warm and welcoming. They knew our dinner was for a special occasion and didn’t let that slide. The birthday girl was gifted an absolutely beautiful chocolate cake. We all had a taste yummy!! All in all an amazing restaurant, the food is spectacular, the ambience is welcoming and friendly and the drinks are decently priced. Can’t wait to return.
