The best restaurants serving Italian food in North East

Wow food here is unbelievable so nice. Staff are really really good. They always make effort with our children. Definitely recommend

Novellos food was beautiful,service was great,food,potato skins are unreal but I left 4 starts because I was asked out by the waiter whilst I'm only 16.

We were staying at the Diamond Inn across the road and called in for dinner. As an Italian restaurant you expect brisk but efficient service and certainly our order was taken quickly. Time for delivery of food was far too long however. My first course (soup) was just fine but I found the main somewhat bland. Not a bad experience but certainly not warrenting four stars.

After a hard long day with our football team Wrekenton Nou Camp u11 boys fundraising in Tescos Gateshead, we came to Sambucas and the manager was fabulous as were all the staff. Service was excellent and the food was absolutely delightful. Would highly recommend to everyone.

Come here 2 Mother’s Day in a row. Last year was lovely this year was awful. Told us they ran out of Sunday dinners. Our parmos were just reheated, weren’t made fresh. The cheese was melted dry and the bech sauce was a strange off colour. Waited 1 hour 15 for food. The staff were hoovering next us making us feel like we needed to rush out. Online it says they aren’t closing for another 6 hours?

Once again a delicious homemade soup and scone. Lively but not loud atmosphere and excellent friendly service. Had already had a smoothie earlier, which was also delicious.

I bought chips and kebab meat with 3 garlic sauces Only one came so missing 2. Its first timevits happened lost out on £1.60

Came for Sunday lunch, unfortunate not impressed. Veg over cooked and yorkshire pudding rock hard. Would give it 4/10 and won't be back

Visited for Sunday lunch. The resturant was very quiet, more staff than customers which wasn't the best first impression. The place was very clean and I can imagine as a bar it gets very busy. Beef dinner was basic but nice. The Yorkshire pudding was a total disaster. 2 people at the table had finished and the server took their plates away whilst others were still eating. A positive was the bill which was £46 for 3 adult meals, 1 child and drinks. Worth a visit for the price if you're stuck for somewhere to go but pray the chef has worked on their Yorkshire making skills

Waited 1 and a half hours for a seafood pizza when it arrived it was stone cold, unless you order then go and pick it up I wouldn't advise to have it delivered

Food is subpar for the price but service and atmosphere is good

Optó por este popular restaurante italiano. Me gustan los toques agradables de una pequeña limonada de cortesía a su llegada. Nos mostraron a nuestra mesa en la parte delantera del restaurante y nuestras opciones de bebidas se llevaron antes de nuestras opciones de comida. El servicio era excelente y nuestra camarera era atento pero no quisquilloso. Si te apetece ir a preguntar.

Visité este restaurante como una familia de 8 por el cumpleaños de mi hijo. Estábamos sentados enseguida a la llegada. El ambiente era muy relajante y acogedor. El personal era muy acogedor y no podía hacer lo suficiente para usted. La comida era fantástica y sin duda volvería a visitar este restaurante. Chicos bien hechos siguen el buen trabajo

Great value delicious food and friendly service.

Went to martinos seaburn with my family and the owners we obviously in walking around dressed like scruffs and pulling the staff aside every 2 minutes! Staff were doing a great job but the owners made us and other feel uncomfortable the way they were going on. Put us right off and will never be back. Food was spot on just owners thinking they are big time dressed like drug dealers
