Lovely welcome and great service. My husband and daughter had pizzas which they thoroughly enjoyed and they said they were very tasty and I had the pork loin Sunday lunch which was beautiful. They only thing I would of preferred would be to have mashed potato instead of new potatoes, but it was the best pork I have eaten. Would definitely recommend!!

First time visiting, staff really friendly food amazing. Only issue which I didn’t enjoy was the profiteroles blanco. But they not every taste. And coffee machine not turned on, which would be 10 mins. Will be back for sure.

Whilst the food was ok, service was appalling. Waited an hour and half for starters and over 2 for mains. Will not return.

Had concerns when we pulled up into the car park, which is run down and next to a waste land, but we needn't have worried. Welcoming staff as soon as we arrived. I had an Inferno pizza, my partner had a chicken kiev pizza, and both were delicious. Staff were attentive without being obtrusive. Prices are relatively good. Will definitely go again and would recommend it to anyone.

My first time at Rialto as part of a group celebrating a 50th birthday. Good options on the menu, favoursome dishes, generous portions, reasonably priced and friendly service. It's nice to find an Italian restaurant that offers options beyond pizza and pasta dishes. An enjoyable evening.

My first visit with friends,friends who visit regular. We were are party of 12. For my starter I ordered Olives, Simple enough you would think maybe not!! All our party had their starters except me. I had to ask twice for these. ( had they had to nip to nearby supermarket for these???) For my main I ordered a Chicken Kiev with Vegatables. Again our whole party had their mains except me.( A large plate of veg had been put on the table for me to share with the person next to me) Our party were almost finished their main coarses yet mine had not arrived. The idea of going out with pals for a meal is that we all eat all together. I had a word with memeber of staff to ask when to cancel my meal and remove it from them bill. A member of staff then brought out my main meal. I then asked for fresh veg as what was on table was cold. Fresh veg did arrive. I ate some of the chicken kiev but sadly others were now finished their meal and did not wish to eat alone. I found the chicken dry. I did get a glass of wine on the house and a sort of an apology and my main meal was deducted from the bill. Sadly I won't return and I wouldn't recommend. Waiting staff seemed very inexperienced too. Also nearby car park is in dreadful state.Pot hole central.If you value your suspension on your vechicle avoid parking in it also very poor lighting in the car park and with the amount of pot holes it's a bit tricky to navigate

I would 100% recommend getting a takeaway sunday dinner from Rialtos. The pork is cooked perfectly and melts in the mouth it’s also comes with the perfect piece of crackling. Will definitely become a regular for it!

Four of us visited Rialto for first time today to celebrate our sons 12th birthday. The menu was very varied with something for everyone, steak, lamb, chicken, seafood, pizza and pasta. The food was delicious and the service was very good. I mentioned it was our sons birthday and the owner and staff put a candle in his dessert and all sang him happy birthday- he loved that - thank you very much!. We will definitely be returning to Rialto as there were so many other options on the menu we would all like to try! Thank you.

We visited 16/12/23, our table for 4 (2 adults and 2 children) at 5.30pm for an early dinner. There were a few tables in but not too busy, like it gets when later in the evening. We all choose the fillet steak with a sauce, which comes with homemade chips. The steak was cooked to perfection (medium/well) and not a piece of fat in any of the 4 steaks. Far too many chips arrived. Personally, I wish there was a choice to have half chips and onion rings/mushrooms etc. For a party of 4. Service was good and friendly. I would like to say that I find it very annoying when the waiters remove empty plates (from those who have finished their meal) prior to everyone on the table finishing their meals, it seems more and more restaurants do this now, but I don't like it and will mention next time. All in all we had a lovely evening and can recommend the steak, as its one the best we've had in a long time, includes UK, Europe and USA. It takes some beating.

Poor service, miserable manager. The staff seemed on edge and nervous, and no clue what they were doing. Overheard the manager being very abrupt with staff, when I paid the bill I was going to add a tip on but was told by the young waitress not to bother and that the owner kept any tips.

Fabulous restaurant, they hosted a surprise party for a 70th birthday, the staff were amazing and the food excellent nothing was any trouble thank you.

Great food at reasonable prices. Had a meal for 5 with starters, mains and a bottle of wine for £91. Good service and a buzzing atmosphere. Would definitely recommend. Generous portions and food came quickly. All of us were too full for dessert.

The food was very good, but the service was poor. I would give the food 4/5, but the service 2/5. The staff seemed new, so maybe on another visit it would be better.

I'll keep this short and sweet. Food was OK but the service was terrible. Plenty of good Italians in the vicinity, will not be back to this establishment with its clueless chaotic waiting staff.

I don’t actually know how this place makes Money! The food is not good, staff are miserable clearly don’t want to be there. I complained about my seabass, the waitress went to the kitchen to tell them, me and my partner heard the chef laughing and saying something about it being 2 weeks old. Restaurant Itself is outdated. Managed to get a last minute booking at what must have been the last available table last night as the restaurant was very busy! However we felt quite safe due to the care that had been taken over Covid compliance. There were plenty of staff attentively looking after guests & although we waited a little while to be served, the food was definitely worth waiting for. We had sea bass fillets and seafood risotto, which were beautifully cooked - along with the obligatory garlic bread and bruschetta, also both delicious. Although our meal was 50%off due to the Eat Out, Help Out scheme, we would have been more than happy to pay full price for what we received! Hoping to visit again when next in the area. Many thanks.

Recently took part in the governments scheme, we were waiting outside in a cue and was served our drinks first thing walking through the door. Food and service were both exceptional and great. Can’t wait to revisit!

Super poor experience yesterday, we have been a huge volume of times before and always get great food and good service...however was definitely an exception. We were there for over 2 and half hours. The drinks arrived promptly, however only half of our starters turned up. The rest had been forgotten and we had to ask twice for them. The dirty plates were left on our table for over 30 minutes. We then waited another hour to get the mains, of which they hadn’t even cooked a three year olds dinner and the steak was well done when we asked for medium rare. I completely understand that there will be delays due to Covid and that social distancing will delay processes, however this doesn’t excuse poorly cooked or missing food. Purely and simply there were too many bookings within a short period of time which led to the staff being ran off their feet.

Had a take away from here during lockdown now that they are back open decided to give it a go and was not disappointed. Sanitation stations throughout as well as partitioning to help you feel safe and sound. The staff all had ppe throwout the night and even though it must have been uncomfortable at times for them they yet again done a fantastic job and made everyone feel safe and welcome. The food again was faultless Surf and Turf cooked to perfection and the the kids enjoyed their pizza and pasta. It was great to be back sitting in a lovely restaurant with good service and friendly staff thank you to you all and keep up the hard work will definitely be back soon

Super impressed with efforts all round to keep customers and staff safe. Not quite our first trip out but definitely the best in terms of Covid precautions that were followed through with and not just lists on boards. Food, great, just as it always was. Visited for the first time since Coronavirus lockdown . The premises have been excellently changed to ensure as far as possible that dining at Rialtos will be safe. Screens are strategically installed and some tables have been removed. The food as usual is excellent couldn't be happier to be back .

Amazing food and service throughout the whole visit . Felt very comfortable going in after such a long time with hand sanitising station across the restaurant and staff wearing masks. Would definitely recommend during this time to get back to a bit of normality

We’ve had several Saturday night takeaways from Rialtos during lockdown. Very easy to order online but also fine to order on the phone too. Took advantage of car park collection after ringing in the day to pay over the phone.No matter who answers the phone the staff are always so friendly and lovely.Food is always fresh and piping hot.Most importantly it’s delicious too!Would highly recommend.

Well as we couldn’t visit the restaurant for a sit down meal We had a takeaway at the weekend ( Sat) .... cooking time was spot on, it was as hot as it would have been if we sat in to eat and the food was amazing.... I can always tell when fresh ingredients are used . I would highly recommend you to use this place.... good quality freshly cooked foodAt an amazing price. Thank you to the chef and all staff who made our normal eating out night a lovely staying in experience..... you won’t be disappointed by Rialtos .... the staff here look after their customers as if they were family

Just had our second collect takeaway from Rialtos and agin the food was superb.We are still doing lockdown so collection from the car park worked very well.Lasagnes was as usual excellent and the Sicilian pasts dish very tasty. Great to have this at this difficult time,Will be back again next week for sure

We are regular visitors to Rialto and on Sunday called in for a pre cinema meal. The service was as usual excellent. Becausevof the time of evening we stuck with the main courses. I had a peperoni pizza. This is not on the menu, but if you ask for a diablo without the peppers, onions and chilli, you get what I mean. Very thin and with a crispy basel, piping hot with a generous peperoni and cheese topping. Perfect. My wife had a four cheese pizza with extra blue cheese which she really enjoyed. Our friends had their usual chicken stroganoff and pasta arrabiata, which justified why they usually have it. The meal wasn't expensive and in my view much better than the film we eventually went to see.

We visited on a busy Saturday night, good job we had booked in advance as the place was packed. There was a big menu on offer including some daily specials, service was friendly and helpful. Our party of 6 were all pleased with their choices and we had a pleasant evening.

We shared our New years eve at Rialtos, and we will definitely be doing it again, a very warm welcome, the food was beautiful and the entertainment was excellent, also a brilliant view of the firework display at midnight. I couldn't recommend higher. Thanks for a great night

Sonny and his team always make us feel welcome and go out of their way to ensure we have a great dining experience. Nothing is too much trouble for them so ask if you find something not quite right. The steaks have to be the best around. Looking forward to getting back to being a regular again this year.

This is my regular restaurant that my family and I visit all the time. This is the first time I had visited for New Years Eve with a group of friends. It was very busy and they had a lovely singer saying, food and service was excellent. Especially the fireworks hosted by the owner, definitely will be here for 2020 New Years Eve!! Thank you Rialto!

Saturday evening in early December with several friends. Needed to await for our table for around 15 minutes but had a drink and chat at the bar. Wow all chose to share a garlic bread and all ordered pasta dishes. The bread was excellent but the pasta was slightly dry but not so bad as to make a fuss. Service was excellent and drinks and food were served quite quickly once we were sat down.

We went to Rialto's a couple of weeks ago or so for lunch with another couple. In fairness the place was just about empty with only another half dozen people there. The clue, when we walked in was that the guy behind the counter still had his jacket on and, during the course of our meal we found out why - the place was very cold. The service was very good as was all of the food that we had but to be truthful we all felt the cold especially when the only portable gas heater was turned off shortly after our arrival. I would have given Rialto's a very good rating but, for the reasons stated have not. Hopefully with Christmas coming up lunchtimes will be busier and as a result warmer but if I were you I'd take a coat just in case !

Visited with former work colleagues for Rialto's Christmas Lunch. Despite being very busy service, food and atmosphere were all excellent. The turkey dinner was plentiful with good variety of vegetables, Christmas pudding was also excellent. Definitely worth a visit.

Been out for a meal last night. Service from both the waitress staff and the management was excellent. The steak and pasta was cooked to perfection. We were served by Hannah and Sonny Would definitely visit again.

The food at the Rialto is very good but unless your face fits , the service is pretty poor. Not for the first time we arrived to find our table not available and the reception staff far from friendly and welcoming. We went straight to the main meal and enjoyed all that was offered. Not one member of staff came and asked us if we would like a sweet. On our last visit it took so long to get a sweet that out taxi arrived before it did. Suspect that this may be our last visit which is unfortunate and avoidable.

If you’re after an Italian in the Ponteland area, you’re lucky to have 2 choices.
