The best restaurants serving Italian food in Hyde Park City of London, Westminster London

Had a midweek lunch here. Service was excellent and quick. Large portions which were divine (and great value!). The best pizza I’ve had in London!

This was one of the more bizarre visits I have had to a restaurant in many years. Spectacularly diabolical!!! The waiter was nice enough but they were out of half of the already tiny list of dishes on offer. It was like “spam, spam or parmigian”! My mate got some gnocchi straight from the supermarket with some cheese only food stamps would buy (the waiter was nice enough to refund this inedible effort). My order of vitello alla Milanese with patate arroste was a big flat lump of breaded meat from a packet complete with... oven chips!! The whole time we had to listen to some bizarre argument in Spanish and Italian between the cook and the waiter. The subject seemed to be how much the former was being paid- he’s been very fortunate to have ever been paid, from what I can see!!

Firstly we enjoyed the Happy Hour but when it came to us having a glass of red wine, we were shocked when the bill was produced at £22 a glass for an ordinary red.

Victoria's knowledge of the menu was impressive—she provided excellent recommendations and was happy to accommodate special requests. Even during busy moments, she managed the restaurant with professionalism, efficiency, and a smile, creating a wonderful and unforgettable dining experience. It is rare to find someone as dedicated and passionate about customer service as Victoria, and she is truly an asset to ASK Italian. Her warmth and professionalism turned a great meal into an unforgettable experience, and I will certainly be returning because of the wonderful hospitality she provided. For anyone looking for delicious Italian food paired with exceptional service in Paddington, I highly recommend ASK Italian on Spring Street. Although owner did not acknowledge our booking, he was welcoming and got us a nice table that was more towards the bar so it was warm and cozy. Service was good overall, but I deducted a couple of stars for reason that despite 12.5% service charge automatically added already, they still suggest you to add another 10% or more on their PDQ a they hand it to you. Food was average, chicken milanese was very dry, luckily being served with spaghetti pomodore added some sauce to it. It's a decent restaurant overall and I would still recommend passing tourists to give it a try. Keep your expectations average.

We booked a table, and arrived a few minutes before our booking. When we arrived the restaurant looked closed, with trash bags at the counter and a closed pizza oven. They offered us food, but we felt more like intruders, and left.

There was one very rude waiter who made the experience really uncomfortable. The food was mediocre

A gem of a restaurant just a stones throw from Paddington station. Welcoming, friendly and attentive staff with great food and coffee to boot.
