A really delightful evening ... food was delicious; wine pairing was delicious ... all made even better by Lucy and her team who made us feel as if we were the only guests on the boat!! Thank you!!
This was a great culinary experience. The butter chicken and The Samosa Chaat are a chef’s kiss. Washed all of this down with a good white rhino beer. Highly recommend!
This beer house is perfectly situated to be able to catch your train from any platform.
I love that it has loads of seating and space for keeping your suitcase free from foot traffic.
If your train is delayed or cancelled, this is an ideal place to be based with a same-level washroom inside so it's convenient and safe to relax as you're completely cocooned from the hustle and bustle of Paddington station.
Service was superb. Very attentive. They sell so much more than just beer.
We ordered coffees too though my only complaint was that they were lukewarm and I dislike a lukewarm almost cold coffee.
I decided not to make a fuss so didn't mention. But my mother-in-law also found her cappuccino the same.
Otherwise, everything was all good.

An authentic old hotel brought up to 21st century standards. Relaxing in the wine bar, huge English breakfast were all great. Elegant appointments. Well maintained cimfortable rooms for quiet nights of rest.

I recently went to purchase a sandwich for take away marked at £5.49. Upon requesting the sandwich I was asked how I was paying at which point I stated card. I was surprised to find that the price that came up was £6.59. I explained that I wanted to take the sandwich away and therefore wanted the take away price. I was informed there is no take away price and that the sandwich cost £6.49. I was pleased when the member of staff, albeit rather dismissively, removed the price for future cusromers and acceoted that there wouldnt be an apologuy. I left the establishment as i was no longer interested in the price. After purchasing food elsewhere at a more reasonable price, I was surprised to find that the incorrect and misleading price had been returned to the sandwich. Highly disappointing and arguably immoral. Don't go here!

My mom and I recently visited the Hyde Cafe for a festive afternoon tea, and as a first-timer, I was absolutely delighted by the experience! From the moment I stepped in, the ambiance was warm and inviting, charming decor that set the perfect tone for a relaxing afternoon treat during Christmas time.
The staff, especially our server Hafize, were incredibly welcoming and attentive, taking the time to explain the menu and guide us through the tea selection process. I opted for the cherry blossom tea, and it was brewed to perfection—aromatic, flavorful, and soothing.
The food was equally impressive. The tiered tray presentation was a feast for the eyes, with an array of delicate finger sandwiches, freshly baked scones, and an assortment of desserts that were almost too pretty to eat. The scones, served with clotted cream and jam, were the highlight for me—fluffy, warm, and utterly delicious.
As someone new to afternoon tea, I appreciated how everything felt thoughtful and unhurried, allowing me to truly savor the experience. Hyde Cafe has set a high standard, and I’m already looking forward to my next visit. Highly recommend this gem for anyone looking to indulge in a delightful afternoon tea! This place deserves more 5 star reviews!!
