This was so much fun - if you like food & boats, this is going to ring the bells. We had a great multicourse lunch whilst chugging along the canal. The boat leaves out of paddington and heads to camden market and back. 2.5 hours of slow progress with a very nice meal prepped out of a crazy small kitchen. A great experience! It was the second week of Jan when we went and it was cozy inside and also 1/2 price to ring in the new year - it would have been a great value at full price. Recommend!

We called to book which was somehow lost but we got our table anyway. Slightly puzzling wait for the meal and the steak tartare and fried oysters had sold out but otherwise fantastic. Had some super raw gamberos to start then a spectacular whole 1kg John Dory (£80). Possibly possibly slightly overcooked for my taste but that really is me and my preference. Head waiter and waitress delightful

Well into some fishy cruising and this hit the spot. Bit of seafood dinner of a pretty high level, good prices and great staff. Unfortunately it’s dry Jan so wasn’t able to sample the drinks menu that looked very well curated. Had a great evening. Recommend.

My wife and I went for our wedding anniversary and we both thought it was brilliant. From the moment you step on board the service is amazing. So friendly and helpful. Lucy was the main waitress and greeter and was superb. A nice touch was that all the staff are introduced. Booking was easy on line and when I had to cancel the wine pairing for medical reasons in advance was no problem at all. Its a lovely setting , a nice little cosy barge. There is space at the front to stand and take pictures. Vaping is fine. The food is top notch, all small portions but very rich and filling. Nice choice of wines and cocktails, even non alcoholic ones as i cant drink much. Lucy let us try the wines first too. There is a map so you can see the route if you dont know the London canals. I had to laugh as someone complained about the vagrants and rubbish on route. It's the London canals. Some places are like that, and you also go past London Zoo and Regents Park and some places worth tens of millions. That's London for you! Some one did mention about kids menus. Got to be honest, this isnt a kids sort of thing. Take them on a standard canal cruise. This is more a romantic thing for adults or dining with friends. We will be recommending this to any friends and visitors to London looking for slightly out of ordinary but superb dinner.

I was torn about this review, so I will start with the good. The crew aboard the Prince Regent, the boat itself, the small group size, and the food were all fantastic. Other than the dessert, all of the courses were seafood-centered, and they were all very well done. So, those things deserve the highest of marks. The trouble was, the ambience of the canal was pretty awful; there was a lot of garbage, vagrants, boats in disrepair, etc. along the canal, and the water itself seemed unhealthy. The juxtaposition of inside versus outside of the boat was jarring. If I had it to do over again, I would probably have gone to the brick-and-mortar restaurant or to the boat that remains tethered to the dock. You do get a real behind-the-scenes experience of the canal.

Amazing boat with just 8 tables which made the trip easy and pleasant. Staff were lovely and the chefs. Incredible how they manage to cook in the small tiny kitchen on the boat. Food was good but some plates we had to share we were a table of 5 adults and child. I thought charging £35 for 3 year old fish and chip meal was a bit steep… as there wasn’t anything for the starter or anything for dessert which a 3 year old would eat. I get the kitchen is small. But a simple bowl of fruit would have been good enough rather than a cooked cheese cake like the adults. Starter could of given him some plain bread and butter or even veg sticks of cucumber. But no there was nothing. Was a bit disappointed by that. After all we spent over £330 on drinks on top of the meal we’ve already prepaid. Might be worth while putting a small kids menu for those who wish to bring young children along.

My husband booked this for a special anniversary and wow was it special! We were super spoiled from the moment we set foot on The Prince Regent. The barge is lovely, the views incredible - we were lucky to have a sunny evening. The food was delicious with just the right amount so it was not too heavy a meal. We opted for the cheese course too. The staff were great - proper personal service but in a relaxed way. Lucy was fantastic with her knowledge of the pairing wines which we enjoyed. This was the most gorgeous trip - so memorable and different!

It’s hard to rate this dining experience high enough. A canal boat candlelight dinner at twilight with a fantastic staff and a wonderful menu. Even the impromptu soup was superb! My wife is gluten free (Celiac) and there were no compromise with the food. If we are ever back in London again, this is a must-do. The value is absolutely tremendous. Thank you Shell Co.!

A smooth trip & great experience with views changing with every course. Professional, knowledgeable & friendly staff from start to finish. The open kitchen means you can see the chef’s at work and the care of attention to detail they put into each plate. They perform magic in such a small space. Allergies were catered for with respect. We did not leave hungry as I have read in a previous review. I had the drinks pairing which consisted of champagne, cider, white, rose and red wine then a banana rum with dessert. A description and reason for the selection was given each course. We will definitely return to The Prince Regent.

It’s a wonderful experience having lunch whilst sailing down the canals to Camden and back. The experience was 5/5, food unfortunately fell short as was felt to be overpriced for the food but perhaps adequately priced when taking into account the file Used to go up and down the canal. The amuse was skinny fries which a friend pointed out tasted on vegetable oil and was too salt-otherwise very nice. The Trout sausage- blend without the mustard and found to be a bit too rich. The consistency was very much that similar to spam. Taramasalata like cod’s roe with scrimp was ok- the bread was too soft and the spread again rich. The peppered cured trout was one of the best dishes of the meal- light, fresh and nice salad to go with it. Crab risotto had too much cheese and again rich. The fish main was good- was probably the only dish was was felt to be above average. Desert was again average. Wine selection was good- had some amazing orange wines for decent mark up. Service was good and interactive.

Firstly, really pleased that there were only 22 other diners on board. The antithesis of the mass catered, eat it quick and eat it among throngs of other people dining experience, which seems to have taken over the London food scene. However, as a Londoner, this wasn't a tourist excursion, it was just dinner. I will go through the courses. Smoked Salmon and Bread (well we all know what this looks like but my partner thought the bread was exceptional) Crayfish tartlet (Thumbnail size) Curried Crabmeat Soup (Absolutely mouthwateringly delicious) Seabass Cerviche (Tasty but was surprised when they said the small side plate that it came on was for the 2 of us) Halibut. The biggest crime was that the Halibut, a beautiful meaty fish was cooked so much that it had become tough. A real shame. The waiter asked me what it was like. I told him it was overcooked but he just apologised and nothing else happened. I urged him to tell the chef to go easy on the poor fish. Some kind of small basic chocolate dessert. They do list it as a taster menu, but by gum was I hungry afterwards.

Food was absolutely delicious as always, the only fish shop I will go to, never disappoints. Service is superb, the family who run this shop are the most loveliest people, so friendly, and so helpful. Which makes the experience that much more perfect.

We were served by the lovely Gianpier who recommended several wonderful dishes…the red prawn carpaccio is to die for… one of the best truffle dishes I’ve had. I usually only like having sea food dishes in places known for exceptional local sea food, but I will come back here again despite it being in London!
