Excellent food - friendly staff

Delicious food, nice atmosphere, great music, and friendly staff.

This is the place to go! We had such a lovely meal, late on a Monday evening. We knew we were into something when we saw a good number of diners in the restaurant, but when we tasted the food and met the lovely owner, we realised why they were there. 10/10 - delicious, comforting food that warms the soul. And to top it off, a genuine, welcoming team that just add to the experience. Thank you for having us - we will certainly be back!

Jessica and Silvia were AMAZING ! This is definitely my go to restaurant in London. Close to the hotel, food was excellent every time we went, they remembered us by name and made sure we had exceptional service every time ! This restaurant made my London experience. I will make sure everytime I come I visit Altonapoli !

The food was a huge disappointment. My wife, 12 year old granddaughter and I, who often eat and cook pasta, each ordered a different pasta meal and found that all three were almost impossible to eat. The sauces were acceptable if a little watery, but the pasta was seriously undercooked - I think they’d taken al dente to an extreme. My wife and granddaughter both left their meals after trying a couple of mouthfuls, but I was hungry so persevered a little longer, but regretted doing so later - trying to sleep with undercooked pasta in your stomach doesn’t work. With a couple of drinks the cost was nearly £70. Not going back.

It was Delicious. Jay was a good waiter. Thats was nice. The atmosphere was good and the drinks was cold and tasty. That was a very good experience.

We came around 6:30 PM, the place was packed with people. Eventhough it was that busy, we got seated pretty quickly! Food was awesome! It came fast, was yummy and good service by Jay! He was very kind and checked up on us multiple times.

Cracking place great food and excellent friendly service

Very busy at 7.20 pm. A table where I sat with my mum only left a very narrow passage for the waiting staff to squeeze through to serve other tables. Wrong sauce was given for the ribeye steak and when requested to change to the original peppercorn ordered, they simply picked out the mushroom from the pot !! One French fries was on the steak dish when served with roast potatoes and vegetables. Overall, a disappointing meal.

Great spot and nice service by Jay ! Definitely recommend this place, we have taken pasta and it was delicious. Go there if you wanna eat fast

It's my first time visiting London and I have the pleasure of having my first meal in this fantastic restaurant where the atmosphere is welcoming and the food is fantastic. Where do I start, the customer service from the staff was amazing, all of them where friendly! I had a margarita pizza and genuinely one of the best I have had in Central London there is a crisp on the i Underneath which for me makes it unique and you can tell the boss doesn't take shortcuts everything from cheese and sauce and dough was quality and high standard! A must visit!

Service was good. Food came very quickly. Burrata was nice and so was the house salad. The tiramisu was delicious and huge! Downfall was the arancini. It was advertised as mushroom arancini, but I couldn’t see or taste any mushrooms. The outside was cheesy rice which was very bland, but the inside was weird. It was like school dinner shepherds pie full of peas and some brown stuff that was maybe meat? I couldn’t eat it.

We had a massive group of 22 and the service was excellent. My asparagus risotto was bland, but my wife's chicken risotto was really good and most people in out group liked their food!

Six people - 70s, 50s, 20s. Food is amazing. Service is even better! Comfortable, elegant setting. They were able to provide gluten-free pasta and dairy-free risotto. And the pizza is heavenly! Highly recommend a sojourn to the Paddington part of town for this authentic Italian experience. Va bene!

It’s been more than 10 years of great service and I can never get enough of faze’s food! He has always deliver amazing costumer service and same amazing quality of food! If you’re in Padington you must stop by this fabulous restaurant ❤️

Food was very good. Pesto could have used a tad more salt and basil for my liking but the bruschetta, pizza, lasagna, gnocchi, and tiramisu were all great. I would highly recommend Wait staff was extremely attentive It was a very tight fit for a family of 5 at a booth but we’ve come to expect that in European restaurants. Restaurant was on the noisier side, but thankfully we were along the edge, otherwise I’m not sure we could have heard each other.

The food is dry. The staff is rude. They charged us the tip without consulting me when paying and included it in the bill. The tip IS NOT MANDATORY, it is voluntary and based on the attention received. I realized when I had already paid. Bizarro the one in front, much better. I recommend it.

Service was amazing lovely waitresses and waiters, Manager was lovely, allowed me to play music of my choice through the speakers, also answered a call centre call which was very entertaining. Food was delicious, Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a delicious Italian restaurant

food came damaged leaking everywhere on the delivery, I couldn't eat them had to trow away , driver made photos he clearly saw it and even he said send the photos to just eat to get refund, I sent the photos to just eat to get Account credit to order something else, I got refused, this is completely unacceptable, very poor customer service and completely scammed this time,

I do not recommend it! There are other Italian options in the surrounding area that are much better. Very discreet food and horrible desserts. Run away from the "canolo", it's horrible. And be careful with the account. They charge you for the service and then force you to leave a tip. I will not return and I do not recommend it.

The food wasn't good. The bacon in Spaghetti Carbonara had way too much fat and the pasta was over peppered. Shortly after eating, we both had severe nausea and stomach pain! Never again! The price is absolutely not justified and the service fee is also questionable.

Wonderful! We ate here a few days ago. Staff is so friendly, welcoming, and charming! I had the tagliatelle bolognese, and it was delicious! MUST HAVE the homemade tiramisu for dessert. It is excellent! Great experience.

After a long day exploring London we stumbled into this gem. They were busy so things were a little slow but they made up for it in friendliness! The food was amazing and they did a great job on making me a Manhattan!

Very good dinner! The staff are kind and accommodating of our small dog which we appreciated.

Sylvia was kind and helpful. Very attentive. The food was delicious! The penne arrabiata was really good and high quality. The truffle ravioli was nice and creamy and with just the right amount of truffle. Service was quick but made well.

We ordered a chicken and pepperoni sourdough pizza, chicken spaghetti, spaghetti carbonara, and a coffee with ice cream! All of the food was flavorfully delicious and worth every pound. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating for our requests to customize our dishes.

Just by Paddington Station and all about quick l, friendly service with delicious food. I was in a rush and asked for calzone, vegan cheese, lots of meat, artichokes, mushrooms, with rocket on the side. 10 minutes later that’s exactly what turned up. Highly recommended.

Owner and wait staff are amazing, very friendly and they had great recommendations on what food to try. Started of with a delicious cheesey garlic bread, then had a wonderfully curated bruschetta. Finished off with a Truffle ravioli that was out of this world! A must try if you are in the area.

I would not recommend Altonapoli. 12.5% table fee. We ordered the English breakfast. Around £13 each, plus coffee. Food was average. They did not even bring water. When we asked for it, the guy brought a bottle of water and charged us around £4 for it. You have better options in the area.

A gem of a restaurant just a stones throw from Paddington station. Welcoming, friendly and attentive staff with great food and coffee to boot.

Scammers! Food is just poor and I can’t believe they can still survive with a 1970’s style menu. Service is the worst you can get. A bunch of waiters going around with no idea of what they’re doing. The owner, a sweating men from Egypt, had the gut to pass by our table begging for a 5 stars review. Hilarious.

This is the first time I have written a review and I have done so because I was so unhappy with my dining experience. From start to finish we were rushed by staff, I ordered water and a bottle of water was placed on the table. The lid was already opened and we were charged £5 I ordered a Bellini and it looked and tasted nothing like a Bellini. The food was not great and the whole experience was very disappointing .I’m writing this so that if you have the choice, I wouldn’t go there

Came here after a big rugby game in london and with no reservations as a group of 5 we were worried about getting food- sat instantly and food came quick, service was amazing, i had the best passion fruit martini ive ever had in this place and i drink a lot of those. When our server made a tiny and unimportant mistake he profusely apologised, and all the servers were so friendly, the music wasn’t what you would expect with an italian restaurant it being pop etc but it wasn’t loud at all and wasn’t annoying We didn’t have dessert but i saw others desserts come out and they looked good, the gnocchi was so good and fresh, would definitely go here again.

Brilliant meal, portions are huge and never fails to deliver. The service was brilliant, went out way to make my family feel special. Pizza and pasta is just so fab. Car parking not ideal, worth parking nearby hotels, about 3mins away from Paddington station.

There are better places to eat in the immediate vicinity. However, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Both the Nicoise salad and the Caesar salad were a sorry sight and overpriced for what they offered. The pasta was ok. The ice cream tend to be of cheaper quality. Overall rather low to medium standard.

The best food and service we’ve had in a long time. We’re only in the area for a few days but already we’re talking about going back.

My first visit to a Vapiano. I had no idea of the business model. Shocked! Make the customer order from the website via QR code - 1st attempt no menu available, 2nd attempt, no payment screen, 3rd attempt success. Make the customer pay upfront. Seriously! Have the audacity to add a service charge when there is no service, and you haven’t even got your meal (I removed the service charge) Make the customer accept sharing an email address with Vapiano partners as part of the process - no way around this. Was seated near the entrance on a cold wet evening and froze. The food was okay - nothing special. Prices were average, so all in all, poor value. Not recommended
