I had a lovely meal here . The service was impeccable. The stuff was so lovely the food came on time I really enjoyed my experience.Kamile was extremely helpful when I had a question and couldn’t do more for me.

The food was superb and our waitress was fantastic-very attentive and friendly.

The staff was really nice - first they brought us the wrong type of pasta, but changed it without any argument and really quickly, however after eating there my friend had stomach ache all night...

So not too bad at all. On arrival, as two of our party are wheelchair users, we were concerned because of the step in. However they have a ramp and we made it in OK, no fuss at all. Table was OK, standard height so a little low for a powerchair. It did take a little bit of jiggling to get sorted in position but nothing terrible (1 powerchair and 1 manual chair). Worth noting there is no disabled loo. We walked from the Prince Edward Theatre so it's really convenient. Food was good, we had pizza, pastas and salads between us and it was lovely. Service was a little on the slow side, 6pm on a Saturday night may be 1 more server required. Price is price, they don't hide it and it's not the worst for Central London. It is a smaller restaurant, but that adds to the appeal. We'd definitely go again.

Very good food - spaghetti with vegan ragu was delicious. But the Italian guy gave us a great service - very friendly and attentive and affectionate! Ususally in highly touristy areas like Leicester Square, service with a smile is rarity!

CATASTROPHIC! The food was average, way too salty and small portions for the price (pizza). The interior of the restaurant was not offered, a lot of waste on the floor. I'm not even talking about the toilets. Regarding the service, it was catastrophic. We were served by a young woman, around 25 years old, and by her colleague, a man around 45 years old. No smile, they put away the dishes making a lot of noise, they threw the services in the bin. The waitress told us we couldn't go upstairs, even though everything was free. They put drinks back into the fridges, banging the glass and the doors. A family next to us left because it was so unbearable. I have never had such poor service in a restaurant. I recommend you walk a few meters and find another restaurant.

The worst meal I have had . I had the lentil Ragu with spaghetti . It was awful . I ate the pasta only . I could not complain as on a tight schedule with a show to see and being treated by a family member. Would not return . Seating upstairs was dreadful . No space to move your chair .

Food was average at best and the service was alright but I got very sick a couple of hours later. Spent my afternoon throwing up. Wouldn’t recommend…

I never been in a Bella Italia restaurant but probably this will be last time as well. The food bland and pretty unimpressive. The pasta was looking whatever it was but not a carbonara. The pizza was looking like the frozen pizza you might find sometimes in Iceland if you are on a tight budget but the Iceland one has some real mozzarella on it… Is a real shame to serve that to paying customers honestly…

I quite liked the food and the friendly courteous staff. Limited veg options in mains but I liked what I ordered. The spinach and ricotta cannelloni and the cheesy dough balls were both delicious. I was dining solo and was given a window table so it was nice looking out at the vibrant Leicester Square & having my lunch, the recco/ bella fav Merlot was nice too!

Lovely restaurant, Panel was very friendly and attentive to our group with good service. The food was excellend quality and taste, we had the set meals with wine and it was very reasonably priced. Would definitely go back again.

Always lovely food, great central location and friendly staff. Accepts the Blue Light Card discount which is brilliant as so many central London restaurants don't.

Very long wait 1 hour for a pasta dish and a pizza. The waitress who takes the order from memory who comes back 10 minutes later asks us again what we wanted to write down on the tablet. 3 tables arrived after us, served before us... Food not bad but nothing exceptional either. I asked where the toilets were at the end of the meal, the same waitress asked me if I was a customer... not a physiognomist the lady... add 7 pounds of tips or 10€ for such poor service, frankly it's is abuse...

Main and starter were lovely as was my cocktail. The interior of the restaurant needed a little TLC (tables looked clean but didn't necessarily feel it and maybe a duster would of been a welcome site to areas of the restaurant) My pudding was nice, however I'm pretty sure it lacked elements advertised on the menu but trying to gain the attention of the rushed off her feet waitress was near impossible so I gave up and just ate it before my warm dessert became a cold one.

food was fine, service was a bit lacking felt that we were being annoying by turning up 90m before closing time… Good for a quick meal though

We called here for my wife’s birthday dinner while in London. The menu was great and I had Caprese salad to start, mushroom risotto for main and sticky toffee pudding for dessert. We used the app and got birthday discounts. Service was average with no special service. They also didn’t have everything on the menu including olives or coffee (for affogato).

Took my niece for her birthday with my sister. Staff were very nice and welcoming. Food was amazing and came out within a decent wait time. Price was spot on. All in all can't wait to go back again. Highly recommend.

The food was bland, unseasoned, boring just no creativeness, pasta in a tomato sauce few bits of chicken with big chunks of mozzarella cheese on top the garlic bread flat also tasteless. Salt and pepper isn't seasoning!. The manager what can I say not great ......If I can give it no stars I would have. I would never pay for that mess. Sort it out give customers who have a pallet for good food want they want.

The quality of the food and drink were good, and that will always be a key consideration but the very friendly, professional and attentive service made the whole experience very pleasant for us.

The restaurant interior and service was fine but our pastas were completely inedible. Churned up to mush and tasted awful. We left all but a few mouthfuls. The garlic bread was okay and at least gave us something we could eat. The service had been fine but I did ask for the 12.5% service which had been added to our bill to be removed which the waitress challenged me on and she became very heated. If service is discretionary you should not become confrontational if someone decides to opt out, even if they'd had a pleasant experience let alone a very poor one.

Cozy simple restaurant with few seats. It was still easy to drop in and get a table for 2 people. Olives and prosecco delicious! Bolognese and Pasta with prawns were super tasty! Tiramisu very good, maybe a little too sweet. Lovely and family service!

This was a repeat visit - the location is great for a number of theatres nearby, and service is always quick, which is ideal for a pre-theatre meal. Service and food were both the usual high standard and excellent value.

We had a very poor experience at Bella Italia in Leicester Square. There were no avaialble indoor seats, so we took a table outside (which was ok initially). We had to chase the service staff to take our order, as we waited a long time for this, and it was cold, due to the outdoor heating not working. When the food finally came, we found a use by date sticker on the bottom of our daughters pizza base - this indicated it was 4 days older than the date. I complained and they replaced it. After another wait of course. Then my wife went to use the female toilets, but they were a disgrace, with the sanitary towels bin overflowing with used feminine products. We also point this out, they said they couldn't do anything about it because outsiders clean the toilets and they weren't available over Christmas. The only consilation was that they didn't charge us for the meals because of all of the above. This is the worst dining experience I have had, and I will not take my family here for a meal again.

Very lovely meal before the theatre

I was served by a very kind and attentive woman named Roxy, the food was very good but it was a little expensive. I would return without a doubt, I love this place. You have to come here to eat.

The food took ages to arrive, and when it finally did, the risotto was like soup. I ordered a dessert, but they got it wrong, and it took ages to correct the mistake. Frustrated, I gave up, paid the bill, and left. The waiter upstairs was clearly stressed from dealing with so many complaints, God bless him

I recently went to the Bella Italia in Leicester Square ( Cranbourne Street ) . I had originally booked but when calling to confirm on the day, we were told they couldn’t find the booking . However I was so surprised how Aga put me at ease and accommodated our party of 14 ! Aga and Roxy went out there was to ensure we were looked after including moving some of us away from the sharp sun . Although inconvenient and not their fault, they still offered us alternatives and made many suggestions. I can’t thank them enough for being so patient and providing an amazing service . Just goes to show that if both parties remain calm , then a solution can always be provided . An awesome example of great customer service . Thank you ladies , we will most definitely return !

Food was decent yet they charged a 12% service charge onto my bill that I later realised wasn't mandatory. It says in the small print optional. Very miss leading for expensive food anyway I would have certainly not payed it.
