Best Pizza and coffee in London.

I can't recommend this Italian café enough! From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with the warm aroma of freshly baked pizza and rich espresso. If you’re ever looking for desert in soho and it’s late, get their tiramisu. Doesn’t have alcohol, but tastes greaaaat (have tried classic and pistachio both)

Went with my partner for the first time to Soho, we stopped off here after an event, really nice food actually. Soho in general is really nice too, definitely will go back there at some point.

What a great place. The vibe is very cool and it was busy in the evening. Coffee and cake were great.

Lovely place to hang out and people watch in Soho. Good, strong coffee and tasty breakfasts or late night Italian food/drink. Decor is unpretentious and proud of Italian heritage.

It's not as good as it used to be. Such an iconic place in Soho which is a shame! All very basic with noisy bikes right outside so not ideal.

This place has really gone down hill. Been going for years and the old Italian staff were always great, very welcoming. Went recently and the new workers (I believe Indian) provide extremely bad service. Felt very unwelcomed the moment entering, felt as if we were treated differently to other customers ( food and drink were brought to the customers by a waitress, for us they just pointed near the till where our drinks were) When we left I said bye and thank you , the lady who took our order responded (did you pay?) Had to remind them we paid when we ordered , (from her actually) It's not a huge deal, but service like this really puts me off returning.

Nothing Italian at all about this except the decor. Rude Indian workers that showed disrespect not once, twice but 3 times. Avoid

Expensive from Collons but a decent coffee and a good tiramisu of course. A very Italian guy behind the bar who tried to regulate the girl who served you outside. I tried El espresso martini again, expensive but good.

Great place to visit when in town bar Italia is a heart of soho which has been hear for years. The coffee is the best in the area and the staff are very friendly. This is a great place to come a meet and people come up on there bikes to have a catch up and a coffee and a snack must visit

Having spent an hour wandering round Theatre land looking for that special place to have lunch, I finally found Bar Italia. The type of cafe/bar that if I'd gone there first could have saved me a lot of time. Customers are greeted warmly, orders taken quickly, you either eat at one of the few tables or at a stool, or take away. Not a massive menu, but what they do, they do well. I just wish i visited London more often so I could return

Buzzing 24/7, best coffee in town, and best tiramisu I have had! Plus, the people working there were engaging and funny. Winner!

Put this place out of its misery change the name

Was ok, sat in the street soaking up the atmosphere which was OK until over a dozen motorcycles arrived and continued to rev their engines, half chocking people to death, the management seemed OK with this but we left.

Genuine authentic Italian cafe with great coffee and pastries. Great atmosphere and lovely staff. Its unique history make it one of a kind and it couldn't be further from the bland coffee chains that dominate the High St! Definitely recommend!

I used to love coming here and having the full Italian experience with Neapolitan staff. Unfortunately that has now gone because all the staff are Indian. I have nothing against Indian people but the charm of this place was the Italian experience.

The pizza and the hot chocolate deserved to be worshipped! Such a shame to play crazily cheap American music in this lovely place! I expected to hear at least Bocelli!

Used to frequent this place often with my partner and would bring friends here who are new to London. Back in the day there was always such a lovely, warm ambience when you walked in as the staff know my boyfriend as he’s a regular there. Recently we went there, and was extremely disappointed at the service. Unfortunately, I didn’t get his name but the Asian guy behind the counter who works the evening shift was so rude to me I was practically brought to tears. I simply asked for some water as I wasn’t feeling well and he retorted why I wasn’t paying for a bottle of water. (We had already ordered pizza, coffees and dessert FYI) It’s sad as this place holds many memories for us but will not be returning anytime soon.

Very good Coffee, proper Italian coffee. Much rather go to a place like this than the big chains. Good location opposite Ronnie Scott's, so can have a Coffee and a bite to eat before going there. There is lots to do in Soho itself. Proper old school Cafe with beautiful decor.

Worst service ever by waiter named Jubel. Did not even take our order for more than 20 minutes. Just kept walking around like a headless chicken.Would not recommend this place only because of the service. When I came here the last time, I was served by a girl who was so kind and friendly. Jubel needs to be trained by this girl. Absolute disgrace.

Mafia guy opened the door for us and in a very intimidating way told us to go away. He said no pizza for anyone and pushed us away in a very rude maner

I haven't visited this establishment but somebody reached out to me on telegram trying to bribe me into giving a good review to the place. I do not approve of such disgusting tactics

You are missing if you are in London and you don't make a visit to Bar Italia. A traditional Bar and next to it, their incredible Italian restaurant under the same name.

Bar Italia, established in soho London in 1949, has gained more reputation and customers from Europe and Asia over the past two decades. I always love to have a quick lunch here. The prices are not the cheapest, and the service is basic, but the food is nice—especially the chicken Milanese with tomato and lettuce, which is fresh and tasty. The cappuccino is also really Italian-style, but it can be quite noisy at times.

Stopped by at 2.30 am to try the food after work. The pizza was phenomenal will always be my go to from now on. Also at weekends opened until 4 am 👌

You have to stop for a coffee, the real Italian espresso made with a special copper machine that is a beauty itself! The pastries are also very good, from the South Italy tradition. You can't miss it!

Went here after a hearty lunch. It was a Sunday afternoon.. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Coffee and desserts were okay as well. There were plenty of outdoor sitting and not very crowded. It's a good place to just chill, maybe read a book, or just to pass time..

We came here as a recommendation and were pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere is really nice at night sitting outdoors, it definitely felt like you’re in an Italian or French bar. Their pistachio tiramisu was delicious as well!

Bar Italia never disappoints and I've been visiting for over 30 years! A trip to the West End wouldn't be the same without a late night coffee and Torta del Nonna. Please NEVER change what you do or how you do it x

Visited twice. First time, they made a pretty good negroni. Second time, a complete shambles as no one took our order. So we queued instead... For so long without getting served that we ended up walking out. Five members of staff, only two seemed to be handling orders and taking payments.

So sad how this place has lost its Italian soul. The atmosphere used to be created by the wonderful Italian staff who understood the vibe of a fast paced Italian coffee bar. Now it feels like soulless gas station service. Rescue what you had please, otherwise I will not be paying your prices just for the sake of nostalgia and loyalty. I’ve been a customer for 36 yrs and my parents, now in their 80’s, came to you when they were ‘courting’. Good luck, but for now I’m going elsewhere.

It doesn’t get more Italian than Bar Italia. Simple coffee and cakes done to perfection. It’s not flash, it’s not trendy, it is just simple and has been for 75+ years. Must be doing something right!

A little on the expensive side, specially since I only took an espresso to go and was charged £3. A little bit of a bitter taste and it wasn't due to the coffee

Had 10 hours overlay at Heathrow airport for my 8am flight to Chicago and went to central London 12 at night. The food was good and people very nice.

Bar Italia has sadly lost the Italia part! Other than the bits of Italian decor and memorabilia from decades ago it’s definitely not giving any resemblance of an Italian bar! Not an Italian server in sight. Short tempered waitress serving the tables (bad customer service seems to be the norm now in London) (Brexit)? and waited ages before even being acknowledged. £12 for an Aperol 😱 Don’t waste your money here. Just take a picture and leave.

I think this is by far the best place for coffee in London. If you are here for food, you can turn away, but as it is a bar, all I care about is the speed and the drinks. I have almost always gotten my drinks within the minute of my order and the coffee has never been bad.

Your going for the vibe nothing else

To the owners of Bar Italia, you better fix things up. So much has changed in a couple of years, the only Italian thing left about it, is the name. No Italian staff in sight, such an historical Italian place in London completely lost its homey welcoming atmosphere it used to have. Staff was rude, unwelcoming, uncaring, unhelping. You may not care about a bad review due to the high traffic in the area, but you keep hiring such people, and you will soon loose customers. Fix it.

Its Bar Italia!! If you dont like this place then clearly you dont know what you are talking about. Great coffee shop!! They serve the best Pizza in London

Not as good as it used to be especially the new recipe of the tiramisu. And now been served in a plastic pot 😔

Haven't been for a while, but it used to be a firm favourite. Has it changed ownership, the coffee wasn't as good and just seemed a bit off?

The delicious tiramisu they have in the shop is small but sweet and the service is very fast
