Piccolino - Heddon Street in City of London, Westminster

I had a meeting for approximately 20people from a local hospital and i can safely say the service at Piccolino was exemplary. Wislan and Arek took such good care of us. Wislan put me at ease advised exactly what i should get which made my life easier. service was second to none and would not hesitate to come back again. I am looking forward to organising my next meeting there. i would also like to mention Alessia who was so amazing in the run up to the meeting and made the whole process so easy. overall a great team at piccolino , Hedden st!

Fantastic experience from start to finish, we booked last minute as we were in the area and wanted to have an early birthday lunch after shopping. The restaurant is extremely welcoming, service attentive yet not intrusive, food delicious and drinks refreshing. Thank you to Simone and his team for making this lunch a memorable experience!

Rakesh is really the star of the stage as soon as I walked in he just owned the room and gave me everything I needed and really puts the customer first. The food wasn’t the greatest but I would come again knowing that he works here. What. A. Lad.

Stunning food and reasonably priced for central London

Booked Piccolino for a family get together, as we had eaten here before many times, it’s centrally located and also has an extensive menu. They seated us outside, which was ideal as it was a beautiful evening. I ordered a pizza, which wasn’t cheap @ £18.50. It arrived with what looked remarkably like two processed slabs of supermarket ham dumped on top and a single coriander leaf. It tasted extremely bland and wasn’t worth the money. I’ve definitely eaten better pizzas elsewhere. The ice cream selection sounded appetising,Even @ £9.50. We opted to share the three different flavours between three of us, as weren’t feeling hungry, The portion sizes were minuscule. Barely two mouthfuls per scoop and overpriced. Overall, a very disappointing meal and I doubt that I’ll be returning there anytime soon.

Lovely restaurant, we had a party of 8 celebrating a birthday. We were able to book without putting a deposit down which we were impressed with. The food was lovely, atmosphere was great and service was good. The staff let us bring in a cake and candles for the birthday and brought it out which was lovely. The only confusing thing was that wine they had available were all completely different (and different prices) to the wine they had on the wine list - just something to bear in mind if you’re going and checking the menu ahead of time.

Incompetent Management, Very Loud Music, Overpriced and average food - the pasta was very bland and not al dente, service is pretty slow, pizza disappointing with low quality ingredients, avoid ! The food tasted like was precooked and prepackaged in a warehouse and just need to be reheated and served, Stay away from this place. Povera Italia

Loved our meal at Piccolino on Heddon Street! The truffle pasta was light, creamy, and packed with flavour – such a treat without feeling too heavy. My husband had the Diavola pizza and enjoyed it so much he went back the next day for it again… (and would happily go a third time!) The tiramisu was brilliant too! Service was warm and attentive – Flavia was lovely, and another kind gentleman checked in often to make sure we had everything we needed. A really great dining experience – we’ll definitely be back!

Top notch service, food, and patio. Alex, Serena, and the entire staff were attentive and lovely. The Wagyu lasagna was incredible! Definitely a cute spot on Heddon Street.

Been to this place before and it was great. However we revisited and it was a disappointment. The pizza was served cold and the pasta with the king prawns had no flavor. The tortelloni were great but we found hair in the plate. The worst part was the fact that when we made those comments the waitress almost laughed at us and never apologized. Of course they charged everything. Never going back!

The food in the restaurant was excellent – ​​fresh, tasteful and beautifully presented. What struck me particularly positively was the friendly and attentive staff. Wislan did a very good job and made our evening even more pleasant. The only small point of criticism: It was a bit loud in the room, which spoiled the atmosphere a little. Do not go here. Last night 10 of us went here for dinner to celebrate my mums 60th and it turned into a disaster. Starters came out as normal and were pretty good but when it came to the mains they took nearly 90 minutes to come and when they did over half of the 10 meals were cold. We sent these back and another 25 minutes later the food came back, clearly thrown in the microwave with the edge of the food being scalding hot and the middle being cold again. Very disappointing as the Virginia water restaurant is very good, DO NOT go here if you have more than 2 people, disorganised chaos

Came here to celebrate my auntys 60th, it started well but the mains arrived cold after a long wait and when we sent it back it arrived half an hour later still cold. Not good enough unfortunately, wouldn’t recommend.

A great place, no reservation required, very friendly welcome and service, we enjoyed the spaghetti carbonara, as good as in Italy! The ice cream is also very good. Good value for money.

El vino de la casa no era la opción más barata (nuestra culpa por asumir, pero nos sentimos tomados como tontos). La camarera me miró fijamente mientras me decía ‘es lo que es’ cuando nos quejábamos. Debería haber llamado al gerente, pero estábamos tan enojados que no pudimos salir lo suficientemente rápido. Obviamente no se agregó propina. ¿Quieres un buen italiano? Somos londinenses. ¡Turistas cuidado! Mira en otro lado. Hay verdaderos y excelentes restaurantes italianos a pocos pasos de distancia en el soho y por todo Londres.

Never again.Firstly, watch out for the ‘hous’e wine. We stupidly assumed it would be one of the cheaper options. Nope. Then their version of focaccia is pizza base. They denied it was anything other than focaccia. It was co plain pizza bread same as as the pizza. Main course of Calzone. They’re version is loaded with tomato.Proper calzone has no tomato. Maybe tourists don’t know the difference but if you want authentic Italian there are many alternatives in Soho a short walk away. As for the steely ‘it is what it is’ from the waitress when we complained… dreadful.

The food was disappointing today. It’s usually perfect. Aubergine was dry and clearly not fresh. Pasta was stuck together and dry too. Waiter friendly but not a luxury level customer service unfortunately.

The food was everything we wanted, the cocktail and beers were great. The service by the young lady (I didn’t catch her name) was top notch, very attentive, personal and just warm. We felt very looked after and felt just at home with the great service given.

We had an excellent evening: the location is charming in a small, secluded street parallel to the main boulevard, the welcome is warm, the dishes are varied, delicious and well seasoned, the children's menu (4 and 5 years old) had everything to delight them and kept them busy with its coloring pages and activities -> you can go there with your eyes closed

Volví a venir para una comida previa al teatro con viejos amigos. Nos gusta el lugar por su comodidad. La comida era la esperada, pero el camarero estaba teniendo un mal día en ¡La oficina! Así que finalmente nos sirvieron nuestras bebidas y finalmente nos ofrecieron parmesano con nuestra comida. Suficiente dijo que el camarero no era el culpable. Teníamos grandes esperanzas en Piccolino en Heddon Street, pero nuestra cena de San Valentín estuvo lejos de la experiencia especial que esperábamos. El servicio era deslucido — el personal de FOH no se molestó en servir agua o nuestro vino, y tuvimos que recordarles repetidamente que mantuvieran el vino en hielo. Para un restaurante de este estándar, eso es solo servicio básico. La comida también era abrumadora. El ravioli de cangrejo fue una verdadera decepción: la salsa era acuosa y la pasta estaba demasiado cocida. Definitivamente no es lo que esperábamos. Lo que realmente amargó la noche fue lo apresurado que se sentía todo. El restaurante parecía feliz de aceptar reservas tardías debido al día de San Valentín, pero luego nos dijeron que la cocina estaba "cerrando" poco después de que llegamos. Si vas a ampliar las reservas para una ocasión especial, ¿seguramente deberías ampliar el horario de cocina en consecuencia? En cambio, nos sentimos apurados y no bienvenidos. En general, una experiencia decepcionante que no estuvo a la altura de las circunstancias. No volvería en base a esta visita.
