Piccolino - Heddon Street in City of London, Westminster

We went there for last new years eve (31st December 2023) and we had a wonderful experience. The set menu had so much to choose from and the dishes itself were delicious 🙌🏼 For all the food (picture) we only paid 67,50£. Our waiter Laurence had treated so nice, big compliments to him! Really worth it and it is a perfect location for nye!🎇

Located on a side street, we were there three times and were very satisfied.

Came as part of a large party for a friend’s 30th birthday. We were supposed to be in the private dining area but had been moved into the main restaurant with no warning - went to look in the private room and there was nobody there? Food was mediocre - very bland main course which was seriously overpriced. Restaurant was very unaccommodating and tried to charge us £400 for glasses of Prosecco which they put in front of us and we didn’t order. Do not recommend! Good gluten free options and nice location are a perk. Calamari was nice.

Had a wonderful dinner catching up with my good friend over many years! I was so happy to choose this restaurant, which consistently offers fantastic service from different staff members. My pasta portion was quite small for someone who needs to eat a lot, so I ended up ordering a tiramisu after the pasta. I like the ambience, quiet, hahaha

Mediocre food, poor service. Came for a friends birthday meal. Food was mediocre, flavourless bland chicken pasta. Service was slow, difficult to order drinks. Staff extremely difficult about splitting the bill. Honestly, with plenty of good options in London, why bother with a sad failing Italian restaurant chain. You deserve better, go elsewhere.

Service was great but the food was a disappointment. I asked for gluten-free pasta Bolognaise. The pasta was cut in little pieces. I like long strings of pasta. Cutting the pasta in pieces is ok for children but not what I expected as an adult. The sauce was ok but not amazing and the quantity of the dish was small. Too expensive and not worth going back for.

Extremely disappointed. I booked the table since I was advertised their two courses and a glass of wine for £25 promotion celebrating their 25th birthday. When I arrived to the restaurant and requested the special menu I was told they don’t have the promotion on their London restaurant. This was not mentioned anywhere on the ad or on their website when I made the booking. The staff was incredibly inattentive and very rude. I was about to walk away but was told I could still order from the celebration menu. The food was delicious but somehow the final bill ended up being £125 for two people and I think it was very overpriced for pasta carbonara. Will be choosing another Italian restaurant next time.

We went to Picolino on Heddon Street for a birthday dinner, and the experience was absolutely amazing. The service was impeccable, with staff paying close attention to every detail and perfect timing for the food service. The food itself was succulent and worth every penny. The staff were so attentive that our waiter understood immediately, without me even finishing my request, that I needed candles on the cake for my mum's birthday. Thank you so much for making the night so special! I highly recommend this restaurant.

There were 6 in our party celebrating a friend’s 70th. We were warmly welcomed on arrival and drinks delivered promptly. The starter was a little slow but all other courses were on time even though there was a large function downstairs. A lovely birthday dessert was presented to our friend with a bottle of Prosecco. A truly wonderful evening. A special mention to Abraham who looked after us. Extremely polite and attentive. Thank you! Lynn

I recently dined at Piccolino Heddon Street and was left unimpressed. The chicken Caesar salad okay, and the prawn linguini was just okay, lacking any real standout flavours. My Hugo spritz cocktail was a letdown—poorly made and far from refreshing. Overall, the food and drink were mediocre, and I wouldn’t rush back.

Alex our server was very friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is friendly and warm, would definately recommend!!!

Rude guy on the door, who practically yelled at me for asking for a particular table the simple pasta was incredibly over priced. Used to visit a lot pre covid ( almost weekly) very disappointed in what it's become.

My partner took me there for my birthday recently and unfortunately one team member tried to steal from my jacket. I had to ask to speak to the manager (who never showed up) to have my belongings returned after “safely” leaving them with the restaurant’s team..no apologies at all, but they actually tried to say that there was nothing in my jacket when I gave it to them..embarassing!

Abraham was brilliant as were all the staff. We waited a while between courses but the food was amazing and service with a smile and a joke. Brilliant

On the face of it the menu and wine list should make for a great meal. I must say both my starter and main course were disappointing. The wine was good. The staff were good. If not for that the rating would be lower.

This restaurant is lovely and food is amazing and I had a wonderful experience her and staff are great and alex who works here is absolutely fantastic, really kind and great service and also bilingual so very inclusive.

Just a few buildings up from Ramsay's Heddon Street Kitchen. It was Xmas week and the restaurant was fairly busy. I was sat at an elevated table near the bar in full site of the kitchen and activities therein.    I first ordered a Bellini which was the worst that I have tasted - like sour peaches not fresh peaches. Followed by the Pasta e Fagole which had zero taste. Then opted for the Tacchino arrosto turkey, roast taters, carrots, turnips, sprouts, chestnut mash, mushrooms and gravy. Actually not bad, the main entrée with plenty of veggies was fairly good - a large plate of food & lots of gravy. For dessert, I chose the Budino di panettone -ok.  The person that sat me and the waiter both had serious attitudes like they couldn't be bothered and didn't seem to want to be there. With all the bad reviews, and bad waiters it's a wonder they get any clientele. As I mentioned in some other reviews, I have not had much luck with Italian restaurants in London, and probably should avoid them in the future.  May be avoid the larger restaurants and find a quant lil Mama 'n Papa's café.

Very nice environment, you can seat out on the big veranda or inside,nice decor,nice music polite staff,neat and excellent food!!

Pretty certain everything is alot better on days/nights when they are not hosting sintillate. But when they are, the standards drops massively. Not extremely poor but could surely be alot better.

Overall an okay experience. It was very busy when we went. That impacted the level of service. We ordered a carbonara that is prepared in a cheese bowl. Very average and had an eggy after taste.

This restaurant was a prominent one years ago , but now the food quality extremely low specially the steak and grills to the extent that’s it’s not eatable , surprised with some positive rating for this restaurant, the hostess also not hospitable and not welcoming person.

I had a solo dinner after work in hospitality here, I couldn’t ask for a better service. Monika recommended me some dishes which i absolutely loved. She had a massive menu knowledge and guided me trough the menu. I had an amazing time, food and drinks. I really appreciated that Monika was keeping me company and checking on me regularly, which made my dinner special. I will definitely come back and recommend this place! Lovely place for outdoor lunch on a sunny afternoon. Great food and drinks choices. Nice bathroom too. The only thing is one not-so-nice waitress, kept making faces and comments at us, and thought we didn’t see her. All the other staff are great though. Would have been perfect otherwise.

We all had such a wonderful time! Wislan our waiter was incredible, calmly managing our groups food intolerances and hosting us so charmingly. I hadn't mentioned we were celebrating a birthday but when he realised he surprised us with cake and operatic singing from one of the other waiters along with bells - what a show. Fabulous service. Nice buzz. Food was ok. The salad was lacking in goats cheese and the fried aubergine was soggy. Typical chain food. That’s said, the pizzas were great. Our server Frida was great too.

so after a recent visit after a few years. I can say the space itself looks spectacular. Beautiful dining room. Our waiter wislan was very friendly and welcoming for us. Any questions we had where answered. The food was delicious my only small gripe would be the presentation was about slap dash and admittedly didn't look too appealing but as I say tasted incredible. Definitely will be coming back.

Had lunch there on Saturday and had a great time. They have a huge outside area which was well covered when it rained and they pulled back when sunny (perfect for the unpredictable English summer!). Service was fantastic and food faultless. One of the best Pizza and Pasta places in London. 100% recommend!

I recently celebrated my birthday at Piccolino Heddon Street, and it was a fantastic experience. The food was absolutely amazing, and everything was perfect. The highlight, in particular, was the lovely terrace that provided a wonderful ambiance for our celebration. A special mention goes to the staff for their thoughtful gesture of bringing out a cake with candle for the occasion. It was a nice touch that added to the celebratory atmosphere and made the evening even more memorable.

Piccolino, Heddon Street is a beautiful space, for an evening we took over the downstairs private dining room for a corporate dinner hosting 40 guests and I couldn't recommend it more. Alessia and her team looked after us so well, they went above and beyond to deliver a 5 star service with stunning cocktails, it was all round a very memorable experience. Thanks again for hosting us Alessia, we'll be back soon!!

My boyfriend and I came to this location and it was sensational. Wislan was a phenomenal host- he made our evening transcendent!

Lunch on a Saturday. The restaurant has a very Italian vibe to it - stylish but not overbearing. The staff were very friendly albeit service was slow. We had to go up and ask to order drinks. That is why its getting 4 stars. The food was outstanding. Between us we has risotto, pizza and lasagna and each of us thought the food was exceptional. This place isnt cheap, youd call it mid range for the west end, but it is worth it.
