A tasty breakfast and friendly service

We had the typical English breakfast and it was a success. The prices and the friendliness of the staff make it a totally recommendable place.

What a great place. Proper cafe. If you are needing a decent bit of breakfast or lunch you can't go wrong.

Paddington Station feed This old school cafe is a great option for a meal near Paddington Station. We ordered two full English breakfasts and they were delicious. The service was fast and friendly, and the price was very reasonable - no service charge is a bonus in expensive London!

Bustling, Italian cafe with reasonable prices and fantastic pastry selection. A must visit if you are staying in the area!

Very delicious food with vegetarian option. I recommend the full vegetarian breakfast with cappuccino with oat milk.

Authentic cafe, cramped inside and full seating - but that's the beauty of this place - if you're a tourist, be sure to come here for breakfast The food and service are also excellent (and the prices are normal:)

First dining experience on our short trip to London. Quick breakfast (take way), also because the place is small, with coffee, tea and some desserts. Very friendly staff, good products, average prices. To try again with more calm.

As they say on the sign in the street, "the best full English breakfast" in the area. And it's very true. Everything was really excellent, even the simple black coffee, with an intense flavour. Large portions, friendly staff and impeccable service. Small and super authentic place. I would like to go back immediately!

Comimos en Mimos. La comida era sabrosa y el servicio era muy amable. Los precios eran razonables. Sin duda volveríamos a comer aquí de nuevo.

Vine aquí por un inglés completo y una taza de té. El té era agradable, pero el desayuno no tanto. Pedí que el tocino estuviera crujiente ya que odio la grasa blanda en el tocino, pero como los cortes eran baratos, toda la rodaja salió como cartón, estaba tan seca y era difícil de cortar. El tomate era solo una rodaja de tomate para ensaladas, no un tomate a la parrilla y las salchichas tenían un sabor horrible para ellos. Las tostadas, los champiñones y las judías al horno estaban bien. Por 9 libras. 50 para un desayuno inglés de tamaño medio esperaría ingredientes de mejor calidad pero supongo que al estar cerca de Paddington cobran más por conveniencia. He estado en muchos cafés en todo Londres que cobran mucho menos y proporcionan mejor comida. Las dos estrellas son para el personal porque eran encantadores, pero la comida era realmente decepcionante. No volvería.

Great British breakfast. Delicious espresso and cappuccino 😃. The Sicilian owners are cordial and full of humour. It is quite busy and it deserves it.

A good English breakfast to start the weekend, what could be better?

Hermoso, ocupado pequeño café familiar. Comimos aquí para el desayuno y el almuerzo. Muy buena comida de calidad y buena relación calidad-precio para Londres. Personal muy amable.

If I could, I'd put -5 stars. 100% the worst cafe I've ever been to. I ordered a set 3 breakfast with a portion of chips. When the plate came out, the chips were ontop of the beans, which is criminal. The sausage, bacon and egg were basically raw. The egg had uncooked egg whites on top of it. Im sure they pay for fake google reviews as there is no way they have this many good reviews. The only good thing about this experince was the Tea, thats because I made it! My advice, avoid this cafe like the plague.

Popped in for coffee and cake. Very convenient for Paddington Station and better quality/value than most of the food outlets there.

Everyone were really kind, I only drank a coffee, but enjoyed it there, lovely atmosphere. I would recommend it!

Great food and service across the street and a couple doors down from Paddington Station, for 1/2-2/3 the price of other locations on that street.

It is a very special place, the people are very nice, the food is delicious, and the service is exceptional, I recommend it 100% and would return whenever I could.

Staff was quite pleasant and the food is excellent. This cafe has honestly made me reconsider my hotel of choice when I stay in London so I can be closer to this cafe for breakfast. I believe next time I may stay closer to Mimos so I can get it more easily in the morning without having to ride a train. Definitely worth a stop in for a quick bite. Significantly cheaper than dining at the hotel as well for a far better experience.

Update for 2024: I gave them another try and was again served flabby, undercooked bacon, this time with cold mushrooms to leaven the regret and two eggs which were respectively a "snotty" undercooked over easy (it's extra work to get eggs to cook evenly but isn't much to ask and easily learned, even in a busy kitchen) and another egg that was mashed up on the pan but served regardless, hidden under toast so the serving staff wouldn't see it on the assumption I wouldn't send it back. The waitress told me she didn't know "what to say" about getting it redone. One of the old hands arranged for the eggs and bacon to be redone but the eggs came back as hard as shoe leather and inedible, though the bacon was much better with a bit of extra time on the pan. As per my last review (below) their OJ is great and their coffee is the right side of acceptable, with a heavily extracted Lavazza whack. Functional. This was strike three and I won't return, sadly, despite sending friends here only a few weeks ago to give it a try. Sorry. ---- Surprisingly variable quality breakfasts given the genuine attention and effort applied by the team. Last time around I was served flabby, poorly cooked bacon, cold (precooked) sausages and snotty eggs, with cold toast. The coffee is functional, not fun. I can't fault the quality of their fresh OJ, mind. I've been mischarged twice and caught it both times, both with genuine apologies from the waiting staff. Third strike and they're out, though. Overall, Mimos has the whiff of somewhere that could be legendary but is currently cranking the handle at "Will this do?" speeds.

The avokado sandwich was really disappointing with hardly any avokado with waterlike consistency and THIN slice of bread.

A nice little place. The waiters are very attentive and immediately look for a place to sit. We went for breakfast every day and the value for money is spectacular. Without a doubt, a 100% recommended place.

The premises are located close to Paddington Station. It serves tasty, classic English breakfasts. Additionally, good coffee and tea served in English, with milk. Crowded at breakfast time, but worth the wait.

My wife and I were in London as part of a land/river cruise. We had seen the reviews about Mimos and thought we would give it a try. We were very happy with the meal. She had spaghetti and meatballs and I had carbonara and a Peroni. Pasta and beer were excellent. We also both had the mixed salad which was fine. The staff was warm and friendly and the meal was well served. We might try to swing by for lunch before we leave London!

We had a typical breakfast in this cafe, we were not disappointed! There is a choice on the menu and everything was very good. Rather long service overall. I recommend.

We were there 2 times. First time for breakfast, and it was an amazing breakfast 😋 😍 I ordered an omelet with ham and cheese and my sister traditional English breakfast. Omelet was one of the best omelets I ever had :) 😀 Strongly recommend 👌

A liesurely Full English Breakfast was just the ticket for us. Mimos is a small, cosy cafe in the hustle and buscle of Paddington. Great service, good food and not expensive. We’ll be back!

We stayed there several times during our week's stay in London. As for the breakfast, cappuccino and coffee were good as were the English breakfast and the eggs, but no one liked the brioche. As for the dishes, they are not exceptional, especially the pasta is not recommended, from the carbonara with cream and parsley to the lasagna with parsley and god knows what, up to the penne alla angerta with completely raw sauce. The staff was always very friendly and helpful. High value for money for the quality it offers.

One of the best places to eat in Paddington. Warm, cosy atmosphere. Friendly and accomodating staff. Try meat cutlets with the mushroom sauce, you won't regret!!!

This is the first place I ate at when arriving to London. Right near Paddington station. The breakfast was good and price was nice. The wait staff however was not the most friendly and they messed up our order. Somehow they thought my sister wanted chips with her meal. Not sure if it was a diss as were American or something but the server seemed disinterested in checking on us after bringing the food.

Had spaghetti and meatballs. Looked and tasted like it had been in a pot for several days. Very dry and pasty sauce/ noddles. Meatballs were OK, but, not that good. Minimal flavor. Service was decent.

Thought we'd stop in for a bite and a rest. Several customers who appeared to be friends with the staff all blasting videos on their phones. Staff also did it. If you want to have a relaxing coffee don't come here. No one has any basic manners.

Great bacon sandwich but very disappointed that decaf coffee comes out of a tin and is not an expresso. Very strange for an Italian cafe to serve such a poor coffee.

Perfect Ice coffee, friendly service

We went in and got a seat pretty quickly given that it was busy. Took the waiter about 5 mins to bring us a menu and after serving lots of others that arrived after us, he then came back and took out order. We then got our drinks, the glass my daughter got was vile. Smelled like it was washed in cold dirty water, so she didn't use it and just drank from the can. It took 25 mins from We placed our order to get it. Others that came in well after us were nearly finished before we started trying to eat. I say trying to eat, our food looked like it was flashed in the pan. Guy sitting beside us had lovely well cooked bacon, ours was still oinking. It was vile. I would have complained and waiting for it to be redone only we needed to get off to get our train for a booking we had. Won't be back needless to say.
