The best restaurants serving Italian food in London

We booked ahead of time for my daughter’s birthday. We were grunted at by a bald man who waved at a table and said sit there. The table was awkwardly situated by the kitchen food delivery thoroughfare, the till and another door people were exiting and entering. I asked another waitress for another table and she pointed and looked annoyed for disturbing her flirty banter with her colleagues. I asked if moving was a problem. She seemed to lack English speaking skills as I had to repeat myself more than 3 times as she squinted at me. After sitting at the table it took some time to get attention of the waiting staff milling around. Eventually we ordered and the food was great. Mr baldy cheered up somewhat when we ordered dessert. We paid and when we left and no one acknowledged our visit. Poor show. I wouldn’t go to that branch again

Very poor service. I ordered a Kids Menu for my son. The table next to us, who came much later then us, got their 4 Pizzas before my son's Pizza (Margherita) came. After he was finished we sat 10-15 minutes before the empty plate. Even though the restaurant was practically empty (around 3 p.m.) nobody was bothered to pick up the plate and serve his dessert. I decided to pay without dessert (which is actually included) and no one even asked about it.

Busy pizzeria. Excellent food and superb service. Quite noisy, or lively, depending on your preference!

We’ve been charged with ridiculous service fee, 12.5% even if it says this service fee ONLY applies to 7 or more guests in a table and we were only 2. The guy (middle age man) who serviced us wasn’t really helpful with the issue, I told him why we are being charged for 7 people’s service fee but he didn’t even listen us properly although the restaurant wasn’t busy. I paid £20 just for a tiny starter (literally two very small chicken peaces but you don’t even need to chew it, they were that small) and a small pizza, no drinks. Definitely NOT recommended.

Been before and really love the atmosphere and the friendly team who look after us so well. We had travelled down from the North West and before we left we booked our table. We arrived a bit early but our table was ready and we had a lovely meal. Shame they don’t sell any bottled cider, but otherwise very pleased and will definitely be back and highly recommend this restaurant

Visité para la ‘fiesta del domingo’ para una celebración de cumpleaños y la comida era fresca y estaba contento con el servicio atento. La única razón por la que he dado este 4 estrellas es porque no estoy seguro de si obtuve mi valor de dinero de la comida que se ofrece. ¡Esto probablemente se debió a no ser un gran fan de los mariscos o mariscos! Socio a través de disfrutar de su comida y en general recomendaría.

The food was delicious so many flavours from start to finish. The tiramisu was also insane, would highly recommend. The staff were wonderful and made us feel very welcome (thank you Caitlin & Matt), it was overall a great experience. 10/10 would come again, especially for the sassy cat.

Not fair to rate good as we didn’t eat, felt uncomfortable as staff didn’t greet us or make us feel welcome and were just chatting at the bar.

Came here in Aug '17 and again recently, in August came here for my birthday and both times were very good. Attentive staff. Nice food. Overall it's good, but isn't fantastic or special, but worth coming if you're going to theatre near by.

Only partially delivered and no one will tefind me. Will never use again.

Chicken Caesar salad is advertised as with Romane lettuce. It came with bagged frisée lettuce which was soggy at that. The chicken was a decent portion but dry. If I had to guess, it was microwaved to reheat. Skinny fries weren’t skinny, they were regular chips. Very disappointing for £15 for the salad (paid extra for the chips).

Dirty place and bad food and service never comeback again

Brilliant dinner experience! Stylish interior, combined with the beautiful riverside view creates a sophisticated and cozy atmosphere. Every single team member that we interacted with were super friendly and helpful, from the host to the waitress! Food was also excellent, with the Mushroom Arancini being one of the highlights. Great options overall as we were tempted by many menu items. I highly recommend the 1665 Brasserie for anyone looking for a memorable experience!
