It's maybe just a modern complex and not really in a community but food was really good, when busy the service is super slow, when you finish your left chasing to pay the bill, which sadly always is a bit soar when a restaurant does that otherwise good food.

We come for lunch regularly on Thursdays are often served by Matt. He is always smiling, is very attentive and efficient! We write a new review almost every time as we know the waiters need to get feedback - I hope they are recognised for their work!

Great food and Rodigo and Bruno were great waiters. Bruno was very attentive to my nephew's allergies.

I had a fantastic experience at Holborn. The entertainment was fantastic. The staff was great. I would like to especially mention Deborah who greeted and seated me who helped make my evening extra special.

Deborah and her team went to great lengths to ensure we had an enjoyable evening. They were all very friendly and even made the effort to check in with us during the interval to make sure we were having a good time (which we were!). If you haven’t visited before, I would highly recommend it. I will be back 😊

We ate here with our daughter on a Thursday afternoon before taking her to see Frozen and it was great - surprisingly buzzy and our waiter, Matt, was so friendly and kind. He even organised a special plate for my dessert when I said it was my birthday :) My only recommendation is that the disabled toilet / baby change needed a deep clean.

Peter served us and was fantastic. We have a young family and he was very accommodating for us. We eat out regularly and I can honestly say this was the best service we have received at a restaurant.

I don't really care for pizza, so I didn't expect much after our British Museum visit. BUT. I thoroughly enjoyed our Double American pizza today at Pizza Express. My kids had great kids options (see menu). The calamari app was so tender. We were blown away by dessert. Service staff were nice but we had to get for them more than we'd like when the dining room was mostly empty. The WC downstairs felt a little unclean. Intrigued by their unexpected music venue one level down.

Had a great evening. The band were really good - soul / funk, 6 terrific musicians and a boy and girl singers. They created a wonderful atmosphere and we all had a great time. This was our third visit and it was topped off by the front of house girl Deborah. Nothing was too much trouble, she made us feel very welcome and promised to pop by during the interval to explain the benefits of membership and how to apply etc. She did just that and it’s on my to do list. Thank you Deborah. Well worth a visit but book early !,

Excellent place for food and to be entertained. Upon arrival we were greeted by Deborah at Front of House who made us feel welcome and showed us to our seats. The atmosphere was friendly and homely, just like being with your family because everyone was there to enjoy fantastic music. We had a fabulous time and will definitely be returning.

Great evening of music and pizza. Helpful friendly staff. Table a bit small for all the glasses, bowls and plates but we coped. Air con much too cold..

Deborah made us feel very welcome on entering the Pizza Express Live Lounge. She was chatty, very helpful and dealt with our query on a future show very efficiently. She's definitely a very big asset to Pizza Express. Looking forward to returning to see Jaki Graham on the 19th July. This is definitely our new favourite place to dine in. The food was lovely, the shows are great and there's always an excellent atmosphere and vibe!

We had an amazing evening at Pizza Express Live at Holborn and enjoyed Soul in the city with Janine Johnson. The show, the food and the fast service were absolutely 5 star. Our favourite place! Always enjoy visiting here for music events! The food is always great and the staff work very hard to make everyone comfortable! The lovely, smiley, welcoming face of Deborah always puts you in a good mood and honestly you end up having the best evening of your life! 😄🎵 You get treated with utter respect and care here which is so nice! Absolutely amazing night seeing the Blow Monkeys Live. Food great and service from all staff great too. Special thanks to Deborah who showed us to our seats and was very friendly and a true professional and helped us out at the end of the show too. Turned up for the live music event where you can have a meal at the same time. Pizza tasted really nice, particularly the tomatoes, which is the basis for any good pizza

Anna was a superb host for our group booking of c.20 people. Service was friendly and warm, and she liaised with us (the organising party) frequently and discreetly to ensure all ordering was within budget whilst also making sure all guests were well catered for and attended to. We're very grateful and would definitely come here again if organising another event near Holborn. Thank you! ☺️

Pizza with the goats cheese and chutney is fantastic! Appetizers were good as well! Service from Bruno was great, very helpful and attentive.

The Pizza Express at High Holborn was so yummy. I wish I could have the goat cheese pizza all the time 🤤 the goat cheese with the chutney/jam was perfection. Our waiter, Bruno, was exceptional. He was kind and friendly with excellent service!

I have been going to Pizza Express live jazz more frequently this year and have to praise how lovely the staff are there, but in particular, Deborah who works front of house. She is always so professional, courteous, patient and helpful. My sister needed the stair lift on our recent visit to High Holborn venue to see Steve Norman and Deborah did everything to assist my sister and even once she was seated Deborah ensured she was comfortable. The food was lovely but besides the wonderful acts that perform at this venue, it wouldn’t be a wonderful venue without the amazing staff like Deborah. Pizza Express are lucky to have her. An amazing night we had , smooth sailing indeed! I’ve already booked another two shows!

A few friends and I booked for the Pizza Express Live evening, showcasing the music of Stevie Wonder. We had an amazing evening! We all enjoyed the food, the service was second to none, thanks to Deborah. She was very friendly and attentive, ensuring we were happy with our seats and settled when we arrived. She also checked on us (and other customers) throughout the evening. The show was brilliant, had us up dancing, we had a great evening! We will definitely book again :))

What a fantastic evening I had with friends last night (24/4/24) listening to the Music of Stevie Wonder performed by Noel McCalla and the Derek Nash Band. Really good service by staff (a special mention to our waiter who swapped chairs for my sister to one which was more comfortable and did so with a smile) and the entertainment was 'bang on point'. This was my first time at a Pizza Express Live event and it most certainly won't be my last. Very well organised in an intimate setting. And lastly (but not at all least) a big thanks to our host Deborah, very attentive and helpful. Hope to be back real soon! Jo - RM"s Crew 🤭

Hi.. We arrived at 6:30pm and were greeted by Deborah 😊.. Deborah escorted us to our table and made sure we were comfortable. She found us an excellent table by the way 👍 We had a fabulous evening. The food 🍕music 🎵and atmosphere was second to non. Our party (of 4) would like to thank Deborah in particular for attention, fun and quirky dress.. She really did make us all feel good. I visited with my family on the 12th of April and we had an amazing experience. Both team and food were absolutely spot on! We were greeted with smiling faces and ordered with ease despite our allergies. 10/10

I had a table booked for Thursday 11 April to see Disco Odessy . Once again a great event. Once again the staff were top notch. However once again ,high praise must be given to your Front of House manager Deborah. Unfortunately at a table almost directly in front of my guests,we witnessed a particularly unsavoury event. One of the female guests on that table launched an outrageous verbal attack against Deborah which seemed to last for a ridiculous length of time . Although I didn't hear much of the context related to the incident (due to background music) prior to the live band's performance, it was very obvious that Deborah was visibly shocked and upset at the verocity of this attack. True to form,she remained calm and stoic and, made in credible efforts to find a solution to this guest's issue ,but it seemed that whatever Deborah tried ,it just wasn't going to be acceptable to this female. Obviously I have no idea what caused the ruction, but eventually when the live performance began the guest sat down to watch the show. From my perspective this woman was rude , aggressive,and out of control, and should not be welcome in a Pizza Express live event in the future. Well done for all your efforts Debora in trying to defuse a very difficult situation.You are a star,.!!!!

My review is specifically for the jazz event on Tuesday 9th April. I booked this event on the 7th March, so over a month beforehand, meaning I should have got a very good table in front of the stage and room to breathe around the table. Instead, we were shown a table which I immediately noticed was unacceptable. I asked the lady at the door, who I presume is employed by Pizza Express, why we had been given this unfit for purpose table, despite the fact that I had booked over a month in advance. She immediately disclaimed any responsibility and was totally unhelpful. I requested a different table or else a refund as I would not be staying for the event because of the unsuitable table and its location. See my photos - The table they allocated me & my wife was so extremely close to 3 other tables that I would not have been able to eat comfortably, then relax and enjoy the show whilst sat comfortably, with room to move and cross my leg if I chose to. The distance between this table and the 3 surrounding tables was less than a foot, which is completely unacceptable an inappropriate too. It's evident that this venue prioritises packing in as many people as they can in order to maximise profits at the expense of customer comfort and safety. What are the maximum number of people which can be in this room at any one time? This is a question I'll be asking Westminster council. As I stated, the lady was unhelpful, she said the "music team" are responsible for the seating. Incorrect - Pizza Express management are responsible for the seating, plus when I paid for the tickets originally, my contract is with Pizza Express, not an unknown to me "music team". So my wife and I ended up leaving, totally distressed. That evening, I wrote to the email address on their website, it had a phone number also which stated calls would be answered Monday to Sunday between 10am and 5pm, hence my email. I wrote my email at approximately 7.45pm on Tuesday 9th April and sent it. Their website states that "emails will receive a response within 48 hours". Today is Friday 12th April, 5.30pm, and I haven't received any response. So this evidently shows how unprofessional and charlatan their operation is, with regards to dealing with customer issues who are attending their music events. I requested a full refund in my email, if they don't action this, then I will immediately contact my credit card company explaining the situation and providing the photos which I took, highlighting the unacceptable table position and the unhelpful Pizza Express lady, who I believe could have been a manager there.

First time to see a gig here. Saw the amazing Kim Scott in this intimate and cosy space. Food standard Pizza Express but all fresh tasty and well presented. Appeared to be regular prices. Service great although tables are super close together so not always easy. Very friendly, spiral staircase down a little daunting but able to take my time so was okay. Will look out for future acts we'd like to see and go again. Highly recommended

I ate here twice with my son last week. I have only just discovered that there is a 12.5% service charge automatically included in the bill, which there wasn’t in the past. No indication or explanation of this that I could see on e.g. the menu. As a result I paid an extra £5 on top of the included £6.75 service charge. The credit card machine still prompts you to leave a gratuity, the waiter was of course happy to let me do this and never breathed a word. I think this is unscrupulous and greedy, and as a result I won’t be back.

Deborah was amazing. We were let down by the Leo Green experience nearby which was cancelled without giving us any notice. At 8 pm I discovered the Pizza express Holborn had a gig available just round the corner. As we arrived, we were greeted by Deborah, but although the website said tickets available, it was sold out. She advised to take a drink in the restaurant and would let us know if there were any no-shows. 20 Minutes later she found us some seats and we had a fabulous show. All of the staff were wonderful but Deborah really made the evening for us. What a great host and we definitely will come back to what is a great performance venue. I’m very close to Covent Garden where we stay a lot
