The pizzas are quite large with a thin crust. We got one half & half, which was enough for the three of us. The toppings contribute to the only flavour of the pizza, as the tomato base is really bland, so don’t bother with the Margherita. The restaurant is not that large. There are communal tables in the middle of the room to accommodate larger groups or to seat multiple parties. We were seated right next to a couple when the rest of the table was free. I suppose they do that to maximise space. Also, they give you paper plates, which I find incredibly wasteful.

Pizza dough is thin and delicious. The amount of cheese and oil could have been more. Garlic mozzarella bread is great. Sprinkling granulated rock salt on it will go very well.

Was waaaaaay better before they added huge amounts of garlic in the pizza and dips.

What a great little find this was. Fantastic service and a lovely vibe! Most delicious pizzas and garlic bread! Really tasty and slices of pizza ideal for kids. Loved the drink selection and pizza toppings.

A new taste of pizza restaurant

Terrible experience. Went with my friend and they came with the bill very rude and after half a second asking for us to finish drinks outside, we’ll next time void my beer and service charge and I might think about staying in the rain drinking a beer. Stupid people, stupid service, stupid place.

If you want to have a nice time don’t come here. Waited in queue for 40 minutes went inside and they gave a table close to the door (very windy) even tough a lot of tables were available for 2 people. After 1h 30, we were still finishing our pizza and our drinks as were ordered 2nd round, my friend went to the toilet less than half a second the waitress came with the machine (bill including service charge) we paid and half a second later, another girl comes saying that we can finish drinks outside (it was raining) as they had long queue of people waiting. Well, I advise you to tell people they have time to stay on their table and start accepting reservation if you’re not able to manage your service, time and amount of customer. Don’t recommend, not worth it.

A very peculiar place hidden in the News Yard alley near Covent Garden. It is the second time I have visited it but this experience was quite bad for me, the pleasant atmosphere is very young, very crowded, the pizzas look very nice and very large but they put a minimum portion of cheese, almost nothing and they do not have a great flavor . The reception of the hostess is friendly but they give you the table when they want and if they want to accommodate you, they have one waitress for the entire place, and in the same way they only deliver the pizza to you and it never comes back. Not recommended, for so many pizza places in London.

Fell on this little gem of a place by pure chance. This has got to he one of the best pizza establishments outside of Napoli.

Small pizzeria but the service is fast and very attentive. They are in a hurry. The pizzas are large with thin crust and you can order half of one and half of another. There is one that itches a lot, you have to remove the gender so that it doesn't itch too much. For everything else, quality and price is fine, we ordered 2 large ones for 4 people and we had a good dinner.

We popped in here as soon as we arrived in London for a week-long trip. Our 3 teens absolutely raved about the pizza. Definitely a win. The location is nice too, in Neal's Yard, very quaint.

Giant pizzas! You can select two options and order half & half. We waited around 20 minutes on a Saturday 5 pm. Service was fast.

Dropped in for a sneaky pizza after a few drinks in Neals Yard over the May bank holiday. Had to source our own menus, but staff were nice and friendly, and the XXL thin crust pizzas are legit. We went for half chorizo half mushroom. Wasn't cheap, but then what is in Covent Garden!

Very busy, had a waiting time of 20 min, but they texted us when ready. Pizza was amazing and once we sat down to order the pizza didn’t take long to arrive. Quite cramped seating arrangement but it is a small building they are working with. Very yummy pizza will be back again!

Bad management. How could you put poeple on waitlist for 40-45min while half of your tables are free ? That's not supposed to happen. You can have a waitlist when all of your tables are occupied. Not when they're free.

I got a margherita slice as I wanted the "American" experience. It was a generous slice but it was cold 😢 customer service was good. Toilets were atrocious.

The quality of food here is astonishing! The only problem with this place is that you need to book a table in advance. Otherwise if you want that pizza badly enough, you'll be waiting until they find a new place, which can take 40min-1h. But they can book you in and send you a message if there is a free table.

I had a great experience and time having an authentic wood fired pizza here, me and my sister came here on a fine evening and we enjoyed the food and service. There was one waitress, who was from Scotland, and god she provided a remarkable service. If you are in London, you definitely must visit this place for a tasteful pizza.

What a pizza, I got a slice of truffle pizza it was so delicious. Their homemade pizza is unique and you will not find something similar outside. I totally recommend this place.

Always a good spot for pizza in London

I was pretty disappointed after eating here recently. It is very busy so be prepared to wait for a table as it is walk-in only. My main issue was that I ordered two slices and both were very cold (one was actually colder than room temp). I don't know if they forgot to put the slice back in the pizza oven or what but they did replace one of the slices with one that was hot. Also, they put parmesan on the salami in CHUNKS so if you don't like parmesan be prepared to pick it off or you'll be eating a lot of strong cheese! We did have to go up and get the servers attention a few times and the place is clearly struggling a bit (for example there is only one WC and everything is hanging on by a thread). At the end of the meal I was surprised to be paying £20 for two slices of pizza and a beer. Unfortunately I don't think I'd come again.

Nice hidden pizza joint. It's the thin crustpizza and huge for sharing. Great pizza for a quick bite. They do mix and match with the flavors. Also can get them by slice.

Dunno what happened to this place, but it’s now absolutely awful. Used to be amazing years back but the quality has absolutely dropped off. High turnover of staff maybe, or that there are better pizza competitors now. Last night was my last visit to this place.

Enjoyed a great (and huge) pizza here.

Overrated. Maybe I went on a bad day, maybe the quality has gone down hill. I got a slice of margarita and a slice of mushroom, takeaway. The former was very dry and bland and the latter had unsuspected goats cheese on it, and lots of chilli, which wasn't described. Had to wait a while for it as well. Probably won't be going back.

Amazing place. Been here a few times over the years. The pizza's are some of the best I've ever had. Always great atmosphere inside, and the staff are always friendly and welcoming. Definitely recommend the half & half. As 20" pizza's with supremely rich toppings... Is a lot!

Brought my parents here when they were visiting from the United States and they said it was "possibly the best pizza they've ever had". Food is incredible, and if you time it right you can get a seat without too much of a wait. Definitely recommend.

Filled up quickly and there was a good buzz. Really tasty pizza. Slightly overpriced drinks. Sad to see paper plates being used as there is no need for the waste! Overall a good spot for a quick bite.

Best pizza I have had in London.

Great vibe and good Food! Pizza was gigantic we were 5people and 2 pizzas were enough! We did the half & half option so everyone was happy. We didn’t know what to have as there are so many choices and we ended up leaving it up to the chef and he did not disappoint!! There are not many tables inside and the place is always busy so we had to wait a while to be seated but it was worth it. We didn’t book in advance (not sure if you can) so I would definitely recommend doing that if possible!

This restaurant only uses paper plates! Apparently this is usual. Toilets were out of order but to be fair we were advised of this before placing our order. There were plenty of pizza toppings to choose from and we struggled to make a decision. The pizzas were delicious 😋

Excellent all round. Welcome was warm with the staff finding somewhere for us to sit, selection on the menu was diverse and very appetising. Pizza quality itself was fantastic. I cook a lot at home and these are top-quality and make for a really decent Neapolitan offering. Thin and crispy base, just the right amount of toppings, absolutely massive to boot. Would recommend and visit again.

Had 2 half and half pizzas between 4 adults and 2 kids which was more than enough. I can totally see where it gets its reputation from and would definitely come back again. In London, I have enjoyed Pizza Pilgrims, Happy Faces and Santa Maria, this is definitely up there with them. Unlike some other reviews, I found the cheese, sauce and toppings in perfect balance, the dough was cooked through, with some light browning that added a depth of flavour.

Quite good pizza with thin dough. Seemed like it needed a bit of salt. We do not recommend the garlic bread or the cocktail. Also, the pizzas with cheese base are better than the tomato base options. It is expensive for what it is, but all in all was a pleasant dinner.

Definitely the worst Pizza I’ve ever had in my life. I think oven pizza is better because at least they put more sauce and cheese on their pizzas and it isn’t costing you £24. To be fair it’s a massive pizza for £24 but with that expensive price you would expect more sauce and cheese. Like they got a 12 inch pizza and just stretched the hell out of it so each bite has no flavour. It was completely unflavoured. Don’t even get me started on how absolutely filthy the place was too, they were storing all their canned drinks under the seating which made everything feel more cramped than it was. With how big the pizzas are they need to think about giving the customers more space. The staff were very friendly and the only positive from this experience. Me and my boyfriend did end up eating the whole pizza because it was so thin and dry it was like eating a cracker and I did complain and they did give us a very small discount but I would’ve liked to have given them a second chance to redeem themselves and made the better pizza but no they did nothing. I can’t believe this place is a chain though and has good ratings. A lot of people have not had proper pizza. An Italian would cry if they had to eat here.

Hello! i went last Friday (May 2022) around 8pm for a pizza. i got one half with mushrooms, the mushrooms were just thrown on the pizza out of the box and were not marinated. The dough was not cooked. all in all my experience was not as expected. I would like to have back the service charge if possible. Update: After a year (Dec 2023) i visited this place again. It is equally terrible, the pictures below talk by themselves.

Went 5:30p on a weekday evening and walked right in without wait. Pizza crust much thinner than expectation. we only ordered slices rather than full pizza, so they came out cold and soggy, likely having Sat out for a long time. Barely any staff greeted or even looked up at us when we walked in. The mushroom truffle pizza was excellent but not sure it’s worth that much of a hype.

Stressful environment, felt bad for the staff they’re rushed off their feet. Pizza was really mediocre and pretty greasy.

Really tasty pizza and a lovely homely atmosphere. I have been to Homeslice multiple times now and its superb everytime. Theres the great option of getting a 'half and half' pizza, so everyone you're sharing with is happy! If you like a bit of spice I recommend the Neals Yard 4 Dairy Cheese with Jalapeno salsa, it is quite hot though! The mushroom soy truffle glaze pizza is also very tasty. The pizzas are also huge, so great value for money. It's a very small restauarnt so nice cosy vibe and the waitresses are always so lovely and very accomadating. I'll continue to visit for years to come.

Great Pizza, we went there as soon as it opened and were seated immediately. Nice atmosphere and lot of different pizza flavours to try. Margherita is lovely!

From favourite Pizza place to a fail ☹️ We used to love their pizzas but the last few visits were a disappointment. I like my pizza very well done but during one of our last visits the pizza was absolutely burnt from the bottom. The staff acknowledged it and gave us a free slice of the same burnt pizza. 😬 We gave it another try and again left the place rather disappointed. We feel like their pizzas have become way too thin which turns them into crisps soon after they are served. Also, it lacked salt and flavour. I'm afraid we will no longer eat at Homeslice.

Packed restaurant so we ordered two slices to eat out front. Food was brought to us after about ten minutes. Right out of the oven. Rich topping flavors and thin crisp crust slightly charred and that's not too salty.

Not a big eater but the two of us finished their huge pizza! It was a surprise for us but it was so good. We got ourselves the half and half and tasted amazing.

I found the pizza and the atmosphere to be significantly below average. I'd recommend almost anywhere else in London for pizza including chains such as franco mancas. Top tier places like crisp W6 aren't even on the same planet as homeslice. The pizza felt incredibly skimpy which is not what you want for 24 pounds. The pizza was large but had massive sections of it that were completely devoid of any cheese or sauce - totally bone dry and bland. I was also seated at a table with cases of soda and bags of dirty laundry at my feet. I will say that the staff was very nice. Overall, I definitely will NOT be coming back.

After waiting outside for 10-15 i got a thin, cold and very bland slice of pizza. I suspect it wasn't well cooked and it just didn't taste like anything. I do think it takes a lot to make a bad pizza, and this was one of those. For 5.5£ i was expecting more.

The atmosphere and service was brilliant. However the pizza toppings were not filled all the way to the edges which meant it had a really thick crust, I was really disappointed as all the other photos showed a thin crust

I agree with Manos27- worst pizza ever and I find it impossible to believe all the positive reviews. Anyone who's ever eaten either proper Italian or American style pizza will be incredibly disappointed. Our pizza was both burnt (black and inedible) and raw at the same time (dough was uncooked). The pizza had about 6 dots of cheese, with the vast majority of the dough covered in tasteless tomato sauce. They also got the order wrong. After I complained, they agreed to get us another pizza, although pointed out that this was the "standard " amount of cheese (i.e no cheese!). They then sent back the same pizza with an additional dot of cheese on it. At this point, I decided it wasn't worth eating at all so I left it. My daughter ate her slices because she was hungry. This place is clearly aimed at tourists who don't know any better- 90% of the clientele were tourists. Be warned!

I had a big slice of Margarita for £4.50. I found it the sauce bland, the crust bland, not enough cheese and generally just disappointing. I expected much more considering the price and location.

Great customer service, friendly & helpful. As other customers have mentioned, the menu does not have enough detail on it - ordered the nduja & tender-stem broccoli and it came as a white pizza with no tomato base which wasn’t mentioned on the menu and was disappointing! The broccoli was in big thick chunks not fully cooked making it really difficult to eat. There wasn’t enough cheese/toppings so a lot of the pizza was just plain pizza base without any topping. Also really didn’t appreciate the overwhelmingly loud techno music pre-7pm on a week night. We couldn’t hold any kind of conversation. Shame, we won’t be back.

Love their pizzas. One of my fond dine-in memories in London during my last visit. Ingredients were fresh and portion were definitely large. Just had an amazing time here and service was superb. But do be there early, we went during off peak hours and we still need to wait awhile for our table. Love to be back!

Huge size pizza is served in this iconic restaurant situated on a beautiful street. The service is nice and atmosphere is great. The pizza price is slightly on a high side, as I can get really good pizza for less in the nearby area. Other than the price, this is a definitely an interesting place to visit.

Went to Homeslice in neals yard for lunch while in London for the day and loved it, The food was so good! We had a massive pizza to share that tasted amazing, it was the best pizza I have ever had along with the yummiest garlic bread too, the service was excellent, all staff were so friendly and helpful and lovely atmosphere inside too. 10/10 would definitely go again!

Normally homeslice is my fav pizza, always very delicious. But last time I went with my friend. And there was a very very long hair in pizza. And the staff even not surprised. I don’t think that I can go there again.

I liked the idea that the menu includes pizza only, which gives you the opportunity to try more than one type of pizza. 👏🏼👍🏼
