Wonderful neighbourhood Italian restaurant with a nice conservatory area at the back.

The varieties are few and the prices are high

- Good food, and great friendly staff, with personal touches and accommodations to dietary preferences. - Both the restaurant and the staff are very accommodating to all varieties of personal celebrations. On consecutive days we celebrated a Masters graduation and a family friend birthday. - It was nice celebratory with a “familiar” vibe without disturbance to the general atmosphere of the restaurant.

This place deserves a higher rating! The service was excellent and the staff were so attentive. The food was beautiful (highly recommend the lasagne) and the atmosphere is classy. Will definitely come back on my next visit to London!

I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. The different types of pasta we tried were really bad, lacking flavor and quality. To make matters worse, our waiter added a tip to the bill without asking for our approval first. This left a negative impression and we won't be returning.

Beautiful inside, thought the seafood and the meat was extremely fresh and well prepared. Great white tablecloth establishment and wonderful for special occasions

We celebrated a birthday at Scalini last night, and it was fantastic! With a group of four adults and one child, we enjoyed incredibly delicious food in an atmosphere that truly felt like Italy. Despite not having pizza, the diverse and flavorful dishes more than satisfied us. Highly recommend for a special occasion or a delightful Italian dining experience! ---

The Zucchini flowers are not flowers with riccotta just small courgettes for £25 that is a scam- The veal liver with Salvia was over cooked despite specifying a pink very pink cooking ( the only way liver can/ should be served) This dinner was completely a no no - So disapointing! You can not give more than one star for a cooking that is really from a third rate restaurant at exorbitant prices.

Delicious Italian food. Smaller portions so you can eat different dishes. Portions are also fine for children. Friendly staff and pleasant atmosphere with pleasant Italian music in the background. Also worth mentioning: the toilets are very clean and luxurious. Highly recommended if you want to eat well in London (next to Harrods).

The BEST Italian in London. Massimo and singing Nicolas are a joy and make you feel so happy like you have been transported to Italy for the evening. Highly recommend plus delicious food

Had heard mixed reviews about Scalini, but we had a great time catching up with a friend there. The food is Italian homemade perfection and the service is on point, but Mr. Nicola is fantastic! He made our night. The salmon fettucine was the best, but every single dish was cleaned off the plate. The restaurant was quiet at 7pm when we sat down, but was packed by 8.30pm The crowds are mixed, from dates and friendly catchups, to birthday dinners (we had two such celebrations the night we were there). Would highly recommend for the Italian family feeling and for the comfort food.

Scalini is a great Italian restaurant with lovely staff members. food is unreal!! So tasty and wide range menu. You can even order the classic pasta dishes that you desire that isn’t on the menu. World class!!

Great staff and hosts, however they pack the tables so close I felt uncomfortable. And noise level was very high. However my experience was hopefully a one off a I will try again.

Terrible customer service, they were rushing us ans taking our almost full plates off the table multiple times and they were overly charging us for expensive wine without giving us any drink menu. On top of that, the food tasted horrible from the starters to main courses. We ordered lobster starter ans there was only few tiny pieces in there ans the rest was the mayonnaise sauce, the beef starter tasted horrible too and the main course veal steak arrived cold and tasteless, they mentioned that it comes with bolognese spaghetti ans we got charged for that too. There is nothing special about this place at all apart from getting ripped off with the prices. They will speak to you in Italian and confuse you with the order and make yoi order.. in summary, If you want to get scammed FEEL FREE TO COME TO THIS PLACE. 0 stars👎🏼

Excited to test out this restaurant after hearing about it. Start off strong with a good coperto, which was tasty and authentic. The starters were nice but after offering to refill the bread they simply didn’t come. 3 falling forks and knives later the Escaloppe Milanese arrived. I asked for a side - didn’t arrive at the same time - didn’t arrive at all. Obviously on our bill but disappeared into the abyss. In agony we looked up and around to see fake plastic lemons and green leaves stiched onto a wall. Terrific!

The worst experience ever. We paid double the amount of the bill! The day I noticed, his excuse was a mistake, but he returned it at the same time after I politely treated him and I spoke to the manager and did not allow him to complete the fraud. I would be surprised if they saw Arabs making these movements and I only got the money back to me! It is impossible to repeat the experience, there is nothing wrong with it, no food, no service, no place 🤢

A lovely upmarket Italian restaurant in Chelsea with a great busy vibe, good food and service. Nice round tables for family or friends groups making it perfect for a celebration or other occasion.

It was very crowded and they sat us in the centre table and it was a disappointment, but the service was impressive … we ordered ravioli and it was delicious 🤤 also the risotto was to die for but the pasta was not that good really , the vibes gave Italian 🇮🇹 night

Good food and service it’s one of my favourite Italian restaurants in London

Food was better before, front desk ruder than before. They don’t welcome guests nicely not sure the reason for this and they make you want to leave as soon as you enter the door. Shame use to like this place although service seems to get ruder by the minute literally.

Very rude staff. When I refused to pay the 10% service, the waiter told the receptionist to Block me!!!! Honestly, I dont care because I will not visit this resturant again. The pasta was not well cooked pasta and the fish was cold. The machine dont accept international visa to pay!!!! The place was small and the chairs were not comfortable. They don't deserve to pay 10% service and even they don't ask me if the food is good.

Classically Italian and that means delicious. Pricey but not at all unreasonable given the location, portions, quality and service.

Nothing special, staff not very nice, also was put off when we saw waitress serving food with her hair hanging down into the plates of food, her hair should have been tied up! Way nicer italian restaurants in London.

First came here about 20 years ago and have been a return diner on and off since. Living abroad means we have only been there a couple of times in the last two years. We took my family and mother in law there last week and a lot has changed. In short what was a convivial “bon viveur ambience” had sadly changed. Not for me thanks.

Fantastic service, food was amazing great location. Atmosphere is an interesting modern, clean yet cozy and intimate.

Bad experience. The setting doesn’t give a vibe of a nice restaurant in London. Also the table almost broke and is really low quality material. The food tasted bland, Good quantity though but still way overpriced.

Italian food at its best Ultra fresh high quality ingredients - the spaghetti with lobster is mouth watering i had it with olio sauce and so is the spaghetti with parmesan cheese and truffle (after taste can get any better) Pricy but worth the penny Bravo - i shall come again

DISAPPOINTING service, waiter was sarcastic and a bit rude, I would rate the food okay at best - nothing special - and certainly not worth the hefty bill, overpriced for what it was and especially when they didn’t pack all the leftover food as requested more then once Just felt a lack of respect for their customers

Absolutely superb evening. Excellent food, service and atmosphere. Pasta with prawns in cream sauce was to die for.

A brief overview: very cozy and family-like food was great service was good too More in detail Food 9.5/10 Scallop(fish) 10/10: very tender and flavourful and the presentation was perfect for pictures. Pasta selection 10/10: another must get the cheese ravioli was spot on and so were the rest of the pastas Calamari 9/10: good flavor and nicely crispy. Veal milanese in peppercorn sauce 5/10: the sauce wasn't too great but it was cooked nicely. Veal milanese(normal) 10/10: Cooked well and tasted delicious. Atmosphere10/10: Homey as mentioned before it feels like the type of place where you would meet old friends and family members.

TL;DR Went there for lunch, ok with coming back, but will check out other options first. An establishment with good quality Italian food. Very professional team and great half bottle wine selection! The vibe was 1990 style classic

I just love this Italian restaurant.. I never miss it whenever I’m in the city. If you haven’t been there, you have to experience it.

Was the best so far which I had in London !!

Wer auf der Suche nach einer italienischen Geschmacksexplosion oder gar einem angemessenen Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist, sollte dieses Lokal meiden. Das Servicepersonal war sehr freundlich und verdient definitiv 5 Sterne, doch ins Restaurant geht man nun mal vor allem auch, um gut zu essen. Und gerade daran haperte es, vor allem angesichts der Preise. Das Brot, das zur Vorspeise gereicht wurde, war trocken und lieblos gewürzt. Die Oliven waren gut. Der Hauptgang - Wolfsbarschfilet - war gut, doch die Beilagen (ich hatte Brokkoli, Bohnen und Kartoffeln) die man sich extra dazugestellten musste, waren kaum gewürzt und schmeckten daher langweilig. Insbesondere die „roast potatoes“ waren eine Enttäuschung - jegliche von mir jemals selbst zubereiteten Kartoffeln schmecken besser - ich kann mir dies nur so erklären, dass die Kartoffeln hier nicht frisch geröstet, sondern nur aufgewärmt wurden.. Insgesamt zahlten wir gut £80 p.P. Fazit: Das Essen ist das Geld nicht wert, geht lieber woanders hin.

Every time I visit London I try my best to have dinner at Scalini. I think it is one of the best Italian Restaurants there. Spaghetti with Lobster 🦞, calamari, special cocktails shrimp 🍤 was my order and was absolutely delicious 🤤. My only comment is the working hours quite short

Not the Scalini you might remember except service is still exceptional and it's manged to retain that nostalgic charm. Food is very ordinary vs what you can buy from the $$$$ Scalini prices. To be fair however, the portions were huge and we could have shared every dish and halved the bill 😅Coffee was inexcusable as one of the iconic Italian restaurants in London.

The food was quite good but you should be able to get pasta right . To be frank I feel these people are above themselves . I had the distinct feeling I was doing them a favour by being there . The prices were high very high There are sme good genuine homely welcoming Italian restaurants in London

Food was really good, atmosphere is nice. However the staff was trying to rush us to leave after we finished our dinner. We felt extremely uncomfortable.

Old school restaurant. Heard so much about it and was actually looking forward for the meal, but like all good stories; to each a different twist. Well the set up is “fresh” but nothing special. It’s clean and spacious but there’s nothing special about the environment. I had a fresh crab salad as a starter and a veal Milanese with tomato pasta as side. Ok it’s good. Not wow good but good. The service was very professional and efficient and the timing between courses was good. Yet, there was nothing extra special or a wow effect to the whole meal. It’s just a clean regular meal that anyone can have in a nice Italian restaurant. However, we believe that the dishes are way overpriced for what they were. Moreover, once the bill was presented we had a bad surprise seeing that they had already added the tip. Come on people !! Who goes to such restaurant and not tip at the end?? You don’t need to write it down and include it in the bill!! And for those who do not check the bill do the waiters explain to them once the client adds the tip that it’s already done?? Well no. And this is what basically happened to us last night. Word of the wise, avoid unless you must and please read your bill!!!

Scalini left a disappointing taste in our mouths with their confusing approach to small dishes. Initially, we were under the impression that these small bites were complimentary treats, only to be shocked when we received the bill and realized they were charged separately. To make matters worse, the quality of the food at Scalini fell far below our expectations. The dishes lacked flavor and were poorly executed. From bland pasta dishes to uncooked calamari, it was a disheartening experience for our taste buds. The presentation was lackluster, failing to showcase any culinary finesse or attention to detail. The service was also subpar. Not only did they fail to clarify the charges for the small dishes upfront, but the staff seemed disinterested and inattentive throughout our visit. It was clear that customer satisfaction was not their priority, as our concerns were met with indifference. Overall, our experience at Scalini was highly disappointing. The lack of transparency regarding charges for small dishes, coupled with the mediocre quality of the food and subpar service, left us feeling unsatisfied. We cannot recommend this establishment to anyone seeking a memorable dining experience.

I have been to this restyarant on many occasions and the food has all ways been good however I went to the resuarant on Sunday 4th of June with my wife and a friend of ours and the experience wasnt that good to be honest these are some of my points: 1. This restuarant is totally over priced for the quaility and quantity of food servers 2. Canestrini allaNettuno this had far to much sauce which completly over powerd the dish 3. Panna cotta with coulis with wasnt set and like soup 4. Coffee's were luke warm 5. Side dishes of New Potatoes & Spinach over proced for the quantity given 6. Cover charge of £7.80 per person over the top and on the menue disolayed on the web site it shows there is a cover charge of £2,60 ?? 7. Service overall was ok the first waiter seemed a little abrupt of offish the main waiter was pleasent and understanding when having a conversation with myself. 8. I do not see the need to put an Optional Grauity on the cost of the meal as I would expect and think that most people having a good time, meal and service would tip of there own accord for that I wouldnt say not to go to this restuarant however I would keep an open mind and double check e=what you are receiving for your hard earned cash in most cases

The food was average. Not worth the money. It was not bad but it was not that great either. The only thing I liked was the aubergine

The location of this little Italian restaurant is lovely, and makes for a very picturesque walk along Walton street. The place itself is small and intimate, with friendly staff. An endearing buzz of commotion fills the atmosphere. Now as for the food, the emotions are mixed. The starters were quite disappointing, the calamari was evidently frozen and quite bland in flavour. Similarly, the vegetarian avocado dish faded into insignificance. However, the mains were much better. The ricotta and spinach filled ravioli with tomato sauce was a staple classic, executed very well. The lemon piccata was fresh and light, but not exceptionally daring in flavour. Finally, both the lobster pasta and spaghetti arrabbiata were well flavoured and cooked to a satisfying al dente consistency. Overall, a friendly traditional restaurant, whose ambiance probably overrides the quality of food. Nevertheless, it was an evening well spent!

My rating had nothing to do with the food or service , both were good . The staff is the most wheelchair unfriendly people we have ever come across anywhere. To get inside there’s a pretty high step so my wife and I struggled to lift the wheelchair up while the restaurant manager , hostess , waiters just sat there looking at us not even attempting to help , not even hold the door for us , as if they didn’t even want us inside . On the way out we realized they had a portable ramp that we could have used but no one mentioned anything !! It’s not from the kindness of their heart they have a ramp , it’s a law in UK it turns out . Pathetic people .

Great restaurant, lovely italian food

Hier gegeten met mijn familie. Tonijn tartaar was lekker. King prawns waren niet bijzonder. Interieur is erg wit en straalt weinig mediterrane sfeer. Bediening was goed.

Went there for a business dinner. Food is good and service average. The restaurant needs a deep refit as it feels one walks into a 1980 decor. And the level of noise inside the restaurant is quite unbearable and loud.

Still going strong had nephew birthday oarty in here and as usual excellent sll round especially the spaghetti pescara There was a time when you couldn't get a table in Scalinis.. just shows how quiet London is this year. Still was fairly busy in here as the food is fantastic, thus will always be a top 5 Italian restaurant of London!

Nothing special but can say that the food is Good. Rocco and Massimo are friendly and accommodating. Its a bit on the dated side and therefore lacks ambience.

Came here with my Fiancé last week for dinner, the foods and the service was magnificent, we ordered a lobster spaghetti & seabass fish for our mains and it was delicious. The manager and the staff’s were very friendly. Will definitely come here again for our next visit in London.
