Zizzi - Romford in Havering

My first ever visit to Romford and to the Zizzi’s there last night with my partner late in the evening, the decoration was lovely , I was surprised at how little people were there so was hesitant however I was made to feel at ease straight away by my server Lindsay who was amazing. Made me and my boyfriend super comfortable and helped me in deciding on what cocktails to pick and would come straight to the table as soon as I made eye contact with Lindsay ( if I needed to ask a question) with a huge smile on their face. The bathrooms were nice and the restaurant as a whole was very clean. Yeah, atmosphere and food was amazing but what overall made my score a 5 star was definitely the service I received. Would come again :)

Ordered online through uber didn't get what I ordered and uber didn't help at all. Called up zizzis and kerry was amazing she helped me with my order and replaced the items and also added an extra cake. Thankyou so much. Amazing service from kerry so polite and caring ❤️

Nearly empty restaurant but some of the slowest service I have ever experienced. Had a salad and 2 drinks and it has taken nearly 3 hours. Still waiting for the bill. Even tap water had a 40 minute wait. Standard food, but if you go anywhere else you can be served in a 6th of the time. We asked them to take off the service charge, and the waitress graciously told us she would take off the drinks that weren't delivered or were just delivered as we were ready to leave (over half an hour ago) and would take off the service charge. This shouldn't have been said as if they were doing us any favours. They have no choice but to remove the charge for the abysmal lack of service and the things they missed. Never again

The service supplied by our server Steffy was impeccable,she was exceptionally helpful and made the eating experience very enjoyable. The food cooked by Ridvan was delicious and would highly recommend.

I highly recommend Romford Place for its outstanding quality of food. Chef FATJONA is exceptional—friendly, skilled, and particularly talented with pizza. Our lunch was truly remarkable, and we will definitely return. Thank you, FATJONA, for making our experience amazing !

Went here and Keri was our waitress and she was amazing. Ordered from the set menu. It was well cooked, seasoned so thank you to Tiar. Decent portions of food. Was able to take left overs home as well. Overall it wasn't too busy and was not a long wait. Keri was so friendly, helpful and looked after is well. It seemed like they were short staffed and I think in light of that it demonstrated how Keri is a great member of your team. She had a smile on her face the whole time and nothing was too much. Will revisit!

We always choose Zizi in Romford as our place to have dinner out but today I was disappointed. I have had all kinds off discounts from the app and even if it was all scanned it seems that they didn't count when paying the bill. Being my birthday I had a free main..... Didn't count. Great food but disappointed about service

Food was ok but the waiting was ridiculous! We had our starter in 7 minutes but the main and the dessert took way too long. Restaurant was not very busy but looks like the chef can’t cope with the volume of orders.

Husband's pizza arrived cold in the middle. They did cook him another one though. By this time I had finished my d8nner. My risotto was so salty and our starters arrived after the mains!

Keri and Lindsay are on fire! The best host and hostess, good food recommendations and very kind and accommodating. I enjoy coming to Zizzis and will be back again xx

I’m in love with the restaurant Zizzi! However, today the chef cook firstly cooks wrong dish and the original order was a bit. Even with few mistakes it was tasty) Thanks for everything!

This restaurant is probably one of my favourite restaurants! So many lovely staff here!! Our server Steffy was absolutely brilliant!! Our Chief Fationa was also absolutely brilliant!! LOVED the food, LOVED the drinks, LOVED the banter! Definitely coming here again!!❤️

I don’t know why I keep going back, I think I just hope the next visit will be better than the one before but the service at Romford Zizzi’s ALWAYS disappoints. My last three visits has just been as so horrible. One visit I ordered a chicken pasta that doesn’t have pork as part of the dish (I do not need pork) however whilst eating my pasta I noticed that there were pieces of pork in my pasta so I complained to the manager and sent the dish back but clearly they didn’t give me a new plate with fresh food because the “new” plate the supposedly made me still had pork, at this point I didn’t want my food any. Another visit, I went with one friend (table of two), the restaurant was very empty, only 2 or 3 other tables being served in the restaurant at the time, it took over an hour for us to receive our food and then 40 minutes to receive our desserts after finishing the mains. Last visit and I’ll never go back, upon arrival we were greeted right away however the waitress was not very friendly, once sat, it took half an hour for the waitress to come take our order but we wanted the set menu, so after being given the set menu, she then took another 15 minutes to come take our order. Whilst taking our order we were told that most items of the menu were not available to order which should have been stated upon arrival. After ordering items off the menu with the small amount which was available, another waitress then came back to let us know more of the dishes we ordered were not available. It took 40 minutes to receive the food and after the mains had finished we then waited another 20 minutes for the deserts as no waitresses were available, we could see the salted caramel brownies were lined up ready to be served BUT the waitresses were out of the restaurant having a drink and therefore extended our wait AND the salted caramel brownies had no salted caramel in them, the brownie itself was nice but not what I ordered. Always want to give the benefit of the doubt but my experience at the Romford branch is always so bad. Do not recommend

The food was cold and oily. The pizza was cold, pretty much barely above the room temperature. The garlic bread was super oily and I think they just microwaved an old one. The pomodoro pasta was so-so. Ruined evening due to bad food.

Keri our waitress was very pleasant, helpful and friendly and was very good towards our 3 year old twin grandchildren.food and service was very good and will definitely recommend and be returning.food came out at nice times in between courses.didnt feel rushed and had enough time for course to settle before next arrived.thankyou zizzis

The poor guy working on his own here when we visited actually made me worry he was going to keel over! He was so very stressed and quite sweaty! We kept reassuring him we’re not in a hurry and to take his time. There was about 7 tables in all. Food was amazing as usual and huge amounts!!

Visited Zizzi with a friend in Romford and it was fantastic. Food was great. Whoever the chef or cooks were made our food with love. Customer service was perfect.

AVOID. We arrived at around 7. They were clearly short staffed but the restaurant wasn’t all that busy. The staff were very friendly (especially the managers). We waited about 20 minutes for our starter which was very nice. Then we waited about an hour for the mains which were absolutely inedible. I could tell the staff were stressed (as there was 1 chef making the pizzas and 1 chef doing all the other dishes. When the mains finally arrived, mine tasted like a microwave meal. I had the meatballs and I literally ate one piece of pasta and half a meatball. It was absolutely disgusting. The missus had a carbonara and it came with some weird big dollop of white sauce which again was inedible. I ate the ‘cheese crisps’ from her meal and she ate at most 2-3 bits of pasta. But due to the friendliness of the staff and the fact they were short staffed, I still paid the bill and asked to have a takeout container for the meals. As soon as we left we binned the food. I will definitely never return here as after looking at reviews, many other people have had the same experience. Such a shame as we’ve eaten here before and it was actually really nice. I feel like the big bosses are cutting staff for more profit, and if it carries on going that way, this restaurant will be shut down. £60 down the drain.

No complaints from me! The food was delicious and importantly it was nice and hot. I used to be a chef in a 5* Marriott hotel and I enjoyed the meal. These are just some constructive comments for you to consider: * Just a tiny little bit of greenery in the form of some salad leaves etc, served with the calamari would be a beautiful touch. The calamari itself was wonderful but… Very ”same-ish” and repetitive. Just break it up a bit with something else (a tiny amount) on the plate. It’s an £8 starter approx and you can do that without massively denting your £ margins. * the seabass main dish that we both had… We thought was fantastic… So well done to chef Luke! Personally, I also appreciate the generous touch of providing me with a few more potatoes. I am a one diabetic and I know when I looked at the plate having injected, the very small amount of potatoes that were originally provided would not be enough for me…. So again I appreciate our lovely waitress Liga and Chef Luke combining to bring a more normal portion of the same potato dish so that I could eat it with my meal. * Finally we were first seated in a booth… But unfortunately this was right underneath one of the speakers that played music. I asked the first waitress that had seated us if the music could be turned down. She told me that unfortunately she had no control over the music level. I think this needs to be changed as in the end we had to be moved… Music should be distinctly in the background and not invading your meal experience.It was too loud and also in my opinion not gentle but way too lively… We had come for a meal not to a nightclub! These are just constructive feedback points that I hope you will take in the spirit that they are intended. Our waitress was Liga. Now she is an absolute asset to your company… she went out of her way to accommodate us helped us to move tables when the music was too loud and sourced the extra potatoes for me for my main course. What I liked about Lea was that she treated us like individuals… Not just a number. She was personable and professional throughout a great ambassador for Zizzi And she deserves to be recognised for this. She made the meal experience the best it could be. Thanks Liga from Latvia 😂 The food tasted great. I’ve only given three stars rating to the atmosphere as the music didn’t help and there was I think only two other tables in the whole restaurant with us so it was a neutral atmosphere during that time. One word - poor . WeTurn up and there were no more than 4 tables in the whole restaurant that had people on . Was told only taking people who have booked today so we go on the app and book a table for 15 mins later . After some eye rolling between the staff they said that we could sit down but there would be a long wait for food . The way this was handled was extremely poor. You may have well just shut the restaurant as you def were not making any money that day . This zizzi used to be so good ! Really gone down hill .

Kacper was a delightful young man with impressive manners and respect, we were only having a look but decided to stay!

We had a lovely lunch with two young and quite tired children in tow - the staff were really helpful and friendly. Thank you to Steffy for such great service!

Pizza was soggy and not cooked enough

I just received the pizza Primavera take away, but tomatoes and peppers are missing. Plus all the ingredients are on one side maybe because of the transport.

Absolutely stunning place in all aspects, The staff, especially our waiter, Liga, we're an absolute joy whilst our food was being prepared and did a stunning job to ensure our stay was as welcoming as possible. After receiving our food we we're delighted at just how fresh and delicious it was. The "Rustica Black Mushroom and Salami" was our choice for the day and it sure delivered, the crust was so thin and crispy you'd be crazy to not include it in every bite. Not to mention the atmosphere of the restraunt was just as great. I highly recommend the Zizzi at Romford for families, couples or even on your own as it is very welcoming and comforting.

Zizzis Romford is lovely. We were sat immediately and Liga our waitress was exceptional and she made sure we were looked after. Her service was outstanding and she recommended some delicious dishes for us to try. Food was hot and came quickly. I would definitely come again thanks to the service.

0 stars, I advise you never ever go there. No service whatsoever, had to leave after waiting for almost half an hour for someone to come and take our order, although others were served even though they came way after us. A useless manager and a useless waiter who looked like she didn’t want to be there. No wonder their restaurants are always almost empty😆 good reviews are from paid local guides or people who have very low expectations of hospitality service 🤡

Had a really lovely meal at Zizzi’s yesterday evening. Our waitress Keri went above and beyond for us. I’m gluten free and she catered for me perfectly and was clued up on allergens and what I could and couldn’t eat. Even reassured me that the chef was ensuring everything was safe before he prepared my meal. The food was great. We can’t wait to return. Thanks Keri!

We started with the garlic bread and bruschetta, both of which were delicious and perfectly cooked. For our main courses, I had the risotto with mushrooms and my husband opted for the pizza with prosciutto and rocket. The risotto was creamy and flavorful, while the pizza was cooked to perfection with a thin, crispy crust and generous portions of toppings. The service at Zizzi was attentive and friendly, with our server checking in on us regularly to ensure that we had everything we needed. The waiting time for our food was reasonable, and our dishes were served hot and fresh. One thing that stood out about Zizzi was their commitment to using fresh, quality ingredients in their dishes. This was evident in the taste and presentation of our meals. Much kudos to the manager for talking to us during our second visit. Overall, I would highly recommend Zizzi in Romford to anyone looking for a delicious meal in a warm, inviting atmosphere. The food, service, and ambiance all contributed to a memorable dining experience that I would definitely repeat in the future.

Horrendous! Ignored by staff, 20 min wait for starter, then hour wait for main of which one came up cold - after complaining they then guess what did it again. 30 min wait for dessert! Whole restaurant complaining Manager should be sacked!

Came this evening around 6:30pm, we were one of two tables when we arrived. Took ages before we were actually served. Then starters and drinks arrived promptly. Then waited a bit longer and our mains came out whilst we still had starter plates not cleared. They forgot half of our order and only when prompt did they question if we actually received it before realising it was their fault. My daughter had finished her pizza before her chips had come out and they was burning hot and we weren’t warned about it either, they were just given straight to her (she has multiple additional needs and wouldn’t have known herself either!). We ended up cancelling one of our sides as they forgot them AGAIN after the other two had come. Both FOH staff had disappeared whilst we sat for almost 30 minutes with no one collecting our plates, asking if we wanted desserts, or anything else. Chef was on his phone for the duration of this and was calling for service with no one coming out. Considering in the end we was one of four tables - these complaints shouldn’t of needed to be shared as there was excuse to not be more attentive to customers.

Unfortunately, The past two visits ive experienced very long waits. As we sat to order we wasnt informed of what wasnt available from the menu. After making a decision on what to order i was then informed that the salmon wasnt available. When i ordered the arancini it the server apparently heard cheese and onion...nothing on the menu says cheese and onion. we watched diners sit to order only to walk out because of the wait. We did consider doing the same because of the wait last time. Arancini balls x3... 1 was overcooked and didnt have much filling at all. Its a real shame 😔 The manageress deserves a medal, she worked so hard bless her

Every time we visit, always get a warm welcome & friendly conversation with Lindsay & Keri, they are great when it comes to food allergies (Fish). We are regulars at the Romford branch & always make a bee-line towards Zizzi’s! Thanks guys & see you soon!!😋😜😎

When i came in there was just one chef and one person on the floor, and they both did an amazing job, food lovely, quick service and good atmosphere. The lady who served us was called Louise, i didnt get the chefs name.

Food was very tasty and our waitress Keri was amazing, she was very helpful and worked very well under pressure taking care of all of our needs. A big shout out to the chef fatjoua prawns with garlic sause was amazing and so were our Pizzas.

Probably one of the best waitresses we got to be served by - a young, lovely girl (Keri) with a genuine smile who made sure we were not missing anything . We were promptly seated despite the Father’s Day crowd and limited number of tables left. The food was delicious (as it always is :) ) . Booked a table for dinner for Father’s day .. we usually going to zizzi in st Katherine docks and we love food and service there .. but because we live in Romford decided to book table here as is local , And that was my biggest mistake ever ! We have been waiting 22 minutes for someone to actually come to us and take an order . Let me mention that restaurant wasn’t busy at all . Half full. Starter arrived after 20 min . Main course arrived after 40 min we finished our starter . Starter was ok , but main food was extremely disgusting . My daughters spaghetti was watery and tasteless , my husbands lasagne was burned and my chicken pasta was swimming inside oil ! This is our usually food we order in different zizzi and always is perfect . This food today was horrible ! Also we tried to order more drinks but been ignored 3 times . Till I finally stoped another waitress and ask her for a drinks . Such a horrible experience for my husband ! We tried to have a good time in that special day but let’s be honest with that kind of experience it’s so hard to have a good time . I definitely DO NOT recommend this place and will never come back here . I learn my lesson and just gonna continue go to zizzi in different area .

We went to eat on a busy Wednesday night - was welcomed and assisted by Keri who was very pleasant and accomodating. We had the food quite later than expected but understandable since there were only 2 chefs to work on a busy dinner rush. Food was great and great work on Chefs Ridvan and Faljona! Just expecting more from the the wagyu meatball dish. But we enjoyed the food in general! Will comeback

I had a fantastic time at Zizzi Romford with my family. Lisa, our server, truly elevated our experience with her exceptional service. Her politeness and excellent hospitality were truly commendable. Farjona and Ridvan crafted the most delicious pizza and pasta for my family. Their hard work and dedication made our dining experience incredibly enjoyable, and we are already looking forward to returning soon. A big thank you to all of you for your outstanding efforts.
