Zizzi - Romford in Havering

Amazing experience. Food was lovely and staff were so good with my son who is very picky with his food. The waitress was belle and she was so helpful. Will definitely be coming back again. Definitely recommend the tiramisu… outstanding. Clearly the chef is experienced.

I came with my cousin for our birthdays as a treat to ourselves, we were served by Keri, she was so friendly, her recommendations on food were spot on, we didn’t tell her it was our birthdays, she made our day with her bubbly nature. Pure asset to the company

The restaurant was quite busy when we arrived and seemed short staffed however we were served by Hadley and he was so friendly and helpful that we didn’t need any more staff. He was very knowledgeable and was able to help one of our party with gluten free options. We had a lovely evening

The service here was really terrible. It took hours to consume what should have been a quick meal. We never got offered a 2nd drink once the meal started and had to spend a long time attempting to flag down a waiter when we needed to order. They lost our order so the main took over an hour but offered no apology. It was also freezing in the restaurant and the table next to us were openly vaping (which the staff apparently didn’t see).

Steffy was a fantastic server and made us feel welcomed and fully embraced into the zazzi way of fantastic food and great service.

Took an hour just for the starters to come out. The service was slow. Waitress was incredibly rude. Shouted at the table when we asked for cutlery. Had to ask for a straw/fork/ketchup atleast 4 times before we got any. We tried paying for our bill. Their card machine doesn't work. Our online banking showed the money has been taken out but their receipt didn't. Waitress walked off. Manager ignored the whole situation till I spoke to him. He didn't seem surprised about the card machine not matching. Overall the food was slow, and when it did arrive it tasted awful. Our waitress was the worst. Don't waste your time of money here.

The food, which was prepared by Fationa, looked and tasted delicious. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals and the service by Steffy was great. She was friendly, made us feel welcome and did her very best to ensure we enjoyed our visit. Thank you Steffy and Fationa.

We came at 4pm before our cinema booking just next to zizzi at 530. At that point the restaurant didn’t seem overly busy. We hadn’t booked to be fair, but they checked and said they gave us a table. We said we have the cinema booked so we don’t need the table for a long time if they have later bookings. Nothing was said about delays or timings. We proceeded to order food and drinks. 45 mins later we still had no drinks or food. Most tables that arrived after us had their drinks. I spoke to a waitress she said they would be with me very soon and food would be 15 mins, I felt that would be ok as we’d still have half hour. A little rushed. 20 mins later still no drinks or food. I spoke to someone again and they said food was coming. We got our food after an hour and 15 mins. Still no drinks. I told them they might as well cancel the drinks - they said they were coming (most were just sprites!) 10 mins later as we finished the food they gave us drinks so had no choice but to pay for them. No apology we didn’t finish them as we had to leave. It was a Christmas treat but we left with indigestion and a hefty bill Not great

Great staff and friendly waitress

We live in Cornwall, came to Essex for pre Christmas visits. Our Daughter and Grandaughter wanted to treat us to an evening out. Our Daughter had booked tickets for a Tribute 80's Rock Band, our Grandaughter booked your Resturant as her gift to us. She booked for 6pm, the idea was to have a relaxed meal, dinner, dessert and coffee leaving the resturant about 7/7.30. BUT!! it all went wrong we arrived 6pm ordered drinks they arrived we ordered our meals. Then we waited and waited, called the manager who said he would check on our order it was gone 7pm. When our meal finally arrived we had to rush to eat it as it was getting late for our time at the theatre. In all your resturant spoilt our evening, our Grandaughter was upset as this was an early Christmas present to us. We were very upset for her. I think the service was atrocious and disgraceful to have to wait over an hour. We had told them where we were going, so they knew our time plan,but I would presume they just forgot we were there. As I said Atrocious, Disgraceful, No recomndations for Zizzi. Saturday 16th November 2024. Mrs M Holland

We loved the food, the Christmas 3 course menu was amazing. Steffy was so welcoming and fun, made our evening much more enjoyable.

Today was the second time in as many weeks that I had been to Zizzi Romford, and I must say, on both occasions the service provided by Keri was great. Thank you very much - the meals were thoroughly enjoyed!

We really enjoyed our meal at Zizzi. We had Keri serving us, she was absolutely amazing. Really attentive, kind and upbeat. The food was also yummy. Our chef was Roney and I couldn’t fault one thing. Everything came out really hot and with lots of flavour!

It was a disproportionately expensive, very frustrating experience, there were many, the food is not very tasty, pig in blanket or pig 8n blanket bombe is made with very poor quality sausage. The seasalt chips were scarce, and unfortunately there was no salt on the table, as the waiters were overworked, it was hard to reach them, so I didn't even try to ask for them.

Dear Zizzi, I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the dining experience my family and I had at your restaurant. This is the second time we have encountered significant issues, and while we gave you the benefit of the doubt the first time, this latest visit has left us extremely disappointed. We sat at our table for an hour after placing our order, only to find out that our mains were not even forwarded to the kitchen. It was incredibly frustrating to see other customers walking to the counter to collect their orders while we were left unattended. My child, who specifically wanted to have pasta, was starving, and we ultimately had to leave without eating anything. This was not just disappointing but unacceptable. When we inquired about the lack of attention from the staff, we were told, "this is not my section." This level of service is completely unacceptable. It was evident that 100 percent of the staff's focus was on takeaway orders, neglecting the customers dining in. I could elaborate further on the numerous issues we experienced, but I doubt it will make a difference. It is clear that your current business practices are not customer-centric. I hope you take this feedback seriously and make the necessary improvements to prevent future customers from having similar experiences.

Keri is attentive without being annoying. Very knowledgeable and keen to help. The other waitress doesn’t even know she’s at work. Food was of the same quality that we used to enjoy some years ago. We will probably be visiting again.

We eat the best pizza and carbonara pasta ever made by lovely chef Fatjuna . She is incredible chef . I have told her this as well as i was so impressed about her dedication and work . Kerry was very polite and professional . Thank you so much !! Ill defenetly come back .

My first ever visit to Romford and to the Zizzi’s there last night with my partner late in the evening, the decoration was lovely , I was surprised at how little people were there so was hesitant however I was made to feel at ease straight away by my server Lindsay who was amazing. Made me and my boyfriend super comfortable and helped me in deciding on what cocktails to pick and would come straight to the table as soon as I made eye contact with Lindsay ( if I needed to ask a question) with a huge smile on their face. The bathrooms were nice and the restaurant as a whole was very clean. Yeah, atmosphere and food was amazing but what overall made my score a 5 star was definitely the service I received. Would come again :)

Ordered online through uber didn't get what I ordered and uber didn't help at all. Called up zizzis and kerry was amazing she helped me with my order and replaced the items and also added an extra cake. Thankyou so much. Amazing service from kerry so polite and caring ❤️

Nearly empty restaurant but some of the slowest service I have ever experienced. Had a salad and 2 drinks and it has taken nearly 3 hours. Still waiting for the bill. Even tap water had a 40 minute wait. Standard food, but if you go anywhere else you can be served in a 6th of the time. We asked them to take off the service charge, and the waitress graciously told us she would take off the drinks that weren't delivered or were just delivered as we were ready to leave (over half an hour ago) and would take off the service charge. This shouldn't have been said as if they were doing us any favours. They have no choice but to remove the charge for the abysmal lack of service and the things they missed. Never again

The service supplied by our server Steffy was impeccable,she was exceptionally helpful and made the eating experience very enjoyable. The food cooked by Ridvan was delicious and would highly recommend.

I highly recommend Romford Place for its outstanding quality of food. Chef FATJONA is exceptional—friendly, skilled, and particularly talented with pizza. Our lunch was truly remarkable, and we will definitely return. Thank you, FATJONA, for making our experience amazing !

Went here and Keri was our waitress and she was amazing. Ordered from the set menu. It was well cooked, seasoned so thank you to Tiar. Decent portions of food. Was able to take left overs home as well. Overall it wasn't too busy and was not a long wait. Keri was so friendly, helpful and looked after is well. It seemed like they were short staffed and I think in light of that it demonstrated how Keri is a great member of your team. She had a smile on her face the whole time and nothing was too much. Will revisit!

We always choose Zizi in Romford as our place to have dinner out but today I was disappointed. I have had all kinds off discounts from the app and even if it was all scanned it seems that they didn't count when paying the bill. Being my birthday I had a free main..... Didn't count. Great food but disappointed about service

Food was ok but the waiting was ridiculous! We had our starter in 7 minutes but the main and the dessert took way too long. Restaurant was not very busy but looks like the chef can’t cope with the volume of orders.

Husband's pizza arrived cold in the middle. They did cook him another one though. By this time I had finished my d8nner. My risotto was so salty and our starters arrived after the mains!

Keri and Lindsay are on fire! The best host and hostess, good food recommendations and very kind and accommodating. I enjoy coming to Zizzis and will be back again xx

This restaurant is probably one of my favourite restaurants! So many lovely staff here!! Our server Steffy was absolutely brilliant!! Our Chief Fationa was also absolutely brilliant!! LOVED the food, LOVED the drinks, LOVED the banter! Definitely coming here again!!❤️

The food was cold and oily. The pizza was cold, pretty much barely above the room temperature. The garlic bread was super oily and I think they just microwaved an old one. The pomodoro pasta was so-so. Ruined evening due to bad food.

I don’t know why I keep going back, I think I just hope the next visit will be better than the one before but the service at Romford Zizzi’s ALWAYS disappoints. My last three visits has just been as so horrible. One visit I ordered a chicken pasta that doesn’t have pork as part of the dish (I do not need pork) however whilst eating my pasta I noticed that there were pieces of pork in my pasta so I complained to the manager and sent the dish back but clearly they didn’t give me a new plate with fresh food because the “new” plate the supposedly made me still had pork, at this point I didn’t want my food any. Another visit, I went with one friend (table of two), the restaurant was very empty, only 2 or 3 other tables being served in the restaurant at the time, it took over an hour for us to receive our food and then 40 minutes to receive our desserts after finishing the mains. Last visit and I’ll never go back, upon arrival we were greeted right away however the waitress was not very friendly, once sat, it took half an hour for the waitress to come take our order but we wanted the set menu, so after being given the set menu, she then took another 15 minutes to come take our order. Whilst taking our order we were told that most items of the menu were not available to order which should have been stated upon arrival. After ordering items off the menu with the small amount which was available, another waitress then came back to let us know more of the dishes we ordered were not available. It took 40 minutes to receive the food and after the mains had finished we then waited another 20 minutes for the deserts as no waitresses were available, we could see the salted caramel brownies were lined up ready to be served BUT the waitresses were out of the restaurant having a drink and therefore extended our wait AND the salted caramel brownies had no salted caramel in them, the brownie itself was nice but not what I ordered. Always want to give the benefit of the doubt but my experience at the Romford branch is always so bad. Do not recommend

Keri our waitress was very pleasant, helpful and friendly and was very good towards our 3 year old twin grandchildren.food and service was very good and will definitely recommend and be returning.food came out at nice times in between courses.didnt feel rushed and had enough time for course to settle before next arrived.thankyou zizzis

The poor guy working on his own here when we visited actually made me worry he was going to keel over! He was so very stressed and quite sweaty! We kept reassuring him we’re not in a hurry and to take his time. There was about 7 tables in all. Food was amazing as usual and huge amounts!!

Visited Zizzi with a friend in Romford and it was fantastic. Food was great. Whoever the chef or cooks were made our food with love. Customer service was perfect.

AVOID. We arrived at around 7. They were clearly short staffed but the restaurant wasn’t all that busy. The staff were very friendly (especially the managers). We waited about 20 minutes for our starter which was very nice. Then we waited about an hour for the mains which were absolutely inedible. I could tell the staff were stressed (as there was 1 chef making the pizzas and 1 chef doing all the other dishes. When the mains finally arrived, mine tasted like a microwave meal. I had the meatballs and I literally ate one piece of pasta and half a meatball. It was absolutely disgusting. The missus had a carbonara and it came with some weird big dollop of white sauce which again was inedible. I ate the ‘cheese crisps’ from her meal and she ate at most 2-3 bits of pasta. But due to the friendliness of the staff and the fact they were short staffed, I still paid the bill and asked to have a takeout container for the meals. As soon as we left we binned the food. I will definitely never return here as after looking at reviews, many other people have had the same experience. Such a shame as we’ve eaten here before and it was actually really nice. I feel like the big bosses are cutting staff for more profit, and if it carries on going that way, this restaurant will be shut down. £60 down the drain.

No complaints from me! The food was delicious and importantly it was nice and hot. I used to be a chef in a 5* Marriott hotel and I enjoyed the meal. These are just some constructive comments for you to consider: * Just a tiny little bit of greenery in the form of some salad leaves etc, served with the calamari would be a beautiful touch. The calamari itself was wonderful but… Very ”same-ish” and repetitive. Just break it up a bit with something else (a tiny amount) on the plate. It’s an £8 starter approx and you can do that without massively denting your £ margins. * the seabass main dish that we both had… We thought was fantastic… So well done to chef Luke! Personally, I also appreciate the generous touch of providing me with a few more potatoes. I am a one diabetic and I know when I looked at the plate having injected, the very small amount of potatoes that were originally provided would not be enough for me…. So again I appreciate our lovely waitress Liga and Chef Luke combining to bring a more normal portion of the same potato dish so that I could eat it with my meal. * Finally we were first seated in a booth… But unfortunately this was right underneath one of the speakers that played music. I asked the first waitress that had seated us if the music could be turned down. She told me that unfortunately she had no control over the music level. I think this needs to be changed as in the end we had to be moved… Music should be distinctly in the background and not invading your meal experience.It was too loud and also in my opinion not gentle but way too lively… We had come for a meal not to a nightclub! These are just constructive feedback points that I hope you will take in the spirit that they are intended. Our waitress was Liga. Now she is an absolute asset to your company… she went out of her way to accommodate us helped us to move tables when the music was too loud and sourced the extra potatoes for me for my main course. What I liked about Lea was that she treated us like individuals… Not just a number. She was personable and professional throughout a great ambassador for Zizzi And she deserves to be recognised for this. She made the meal experience the best it could be. Thanks Liga from Latvia 😂 The food tasted great. I’ve only given three stars rating to the atmosphere as the music didn’t help and there was I think only two other tables in the whole restaurant with us so it was a neutral atmosphere during that time. One word - poor . WeTurn up and there were no more than 4 tables in the whole restaurant that had people on . Was told only taking people who have booked today so we go on the app and book a table for 15 mins later . After some eye rolling between the staff they said that we could sit down but there would be a long wait for food . The way this was handled was extremely poor. You may have well just shut the restaurant as you def were not making any money that day . This zizzi used to be so good ! Really gone down hill .

Pizza was soggy and not cooked enough

I just received the pizza Primavera take away, but tomatoes and peppers are missing. Plus all the ingredients are on one side maybe because of the transport.

Zizzis Romford is lovely. We were sat immediately and Liga our waitress was exceptional and she made sure we were looked after. Her service was outstanding and she recommended some delicious dishes for us to try. Food was hot and came quickly. I would definitely come again thanks to the service.

Absolutely stunning place in all aspects, The staff, especially our waiter, Liga, we're an absolute joy whilst our food was being prepared and did a stunning job to ensure our stay was as welcoming as possible. After receiving our food we we're delighted at just how fresh and delicious it was. The "Rustica Black Mushroom and Salami" was our choice for the day and it sure delivered, the crust was so thin and crispy you'd be crazy to not include it in every bite. Not to mention the atmosphere of the restraunt was just as great. I highly recommend the Zizzi at Romford for families, couples or even on your own as it is very welcoming and comforting.

0 stars, I advise you never ever go there. No service whatsoever, had to leave after waiting for almost half an hour for someone to come and take our order, although others were served even though they came way after us. A useless manager and a useless waiter who looked like she didn’t want to be there. No wonder their restaurants are always almost empty😆 good reviews are from paid local guides or people who have very low expectations of hospitality service 🤡

Had a really lovely meal at Zizzi’s yesterday evening. Our waitress Keri went above and beyond for us. I’m gluten free and she catered for me perfectly and was clued up on allergens and what I could and couldn’t eat. Even reassured me that the chef was ensuring everything was safe before he prepared my meal. The food was great. We can’t wait to return. Thanks Keri!

For our main courses, I had the risotto with mushrooms and my husband opted for the pizza with prosciutto and rocket. The risotto was creamy and flavorful, while the pizza was cooked to perfection with a thin, crispy crust and generous portions of toppings. The service at Zizzi was attentive and friendly, with our server checking in on us regularly to ensure that we had everything we needed. Everyone was nice, helpful and accommodating, especially to my daughter who has celiac. Fatjona the chef, in particular, was lovely and talked me through the process of how she makes her pizzas. Her food was delectable, we had a great time.
