Never any complaints here. Brilliant food and drinks

During our stay in Hornchurch, we ate here a couple of times. Each time we tasted a different kind of food. The food was always fantastic, perfect flavors, large portions, something for those with tongues. The service was always nice, they took care of us. She had a professional approach. We were so satisfied with this company that we didn't even want to go anywhere else. Thank you very much.

Anna was a very good server and our food arrived promptly and was very tasty. Zizzi Hornchurch is a family favourite.

Pizza was delicious, never lets me down and service was impeccable super nice servers :)

The staff were just wonderful, we went with a large group (my first time) and they handled it very well! Drinks and food came out fast, all orders were spot on and tasted delicious. It seemed like we all had a bite of each other’s dish just to try. I will definitely be going back.

The food was absolutely amazing, the staff was very pleasant, the manager Barbara was very nice and helpful, I will definitely be returning for another great and delicious meal. Awesome place, awesome food!

Visited with friends last weekend and everything from the customer service, the atmosphere and the food was absolutely shamazing! I honestly couldn't fault anything! I don't usually leave reviews, however felt that this was well worth sharing!

I ordered just about half an hour ago a margarita pizza at zizzis and I’m so diss To say that it was like the worst I’ve ever seen . How can.a pizza be paper thin . Genuinely have no words to say what a waste of £16 . A thin and ice cold pizza as if it was a book wouldn’t even move. I won’t order there again .

We ordered pasta and pizza via Ubereats. The food was cold when it arrived, and the pizza was completely overcooked. The crusts were folded over and it just looked a mess. The pasta was bland and needed added seasoning. Would not be ordering again.

Food was better than a service. Didn't felt cozy atmosphere...but it doesn't mean I won't be back again.

Portion sizes were good, we had a shared platter with couple chicken skewers.. particularly liked the tom bruschetta.

Good atmosphere, food and staff were attentive and efficient. Interior is much better since refit and revised menu is a lot more interesting.

Exceptional food from starters calamari mains spicy pizzas and all the desserts. Thoroughly recommend for great tasty food well done and thanks Barbara and all at Hornchurch Zizzi’s.

Disgraceful that this place is now cashless. We will not be visiting again. It should not be allowed for businesses to be able to refuse legal tender.

We went there for my daughters birthday. The waiter was disinterested. Not sure if he had any training. I told him my order and he said is that it. He didn't check if the meal was okay. Thought this was standard practice as in other restaurants. The food was good although the lettuce was brown where it had been cut earlier. Overall a disappointing experience.

The chicken here is halal and the service is good. We spent £120-140 for 4 adults and 1 child meal and 1 baby meal and 2 Deserts, 3 drinks 1 espressos and 1 Starter sharing board. The baby meal portion was very good I could have ordered it for my 4 year old, but it was plain pasta. The kids meals come with deserts but no drink. We ordered roquitto pizza but asked ti make it classic, goats cheese pizza ristica style (long) 1 penne chicken (spicy one not harissa) and one chicken calzone - they replaced the bacon with goats cheese for me. We used to come here regularly last year. Parking is free after 7.30PM I think but 2 or 3 hours only. Its on the side road

After 45 minutes I asked how long it would be for our main course. I was told the pizza was in the oven. This was over 45 minutes since ordering. The restaurant was practically empty and there were two chefs in the kitchen. No one had told us there was a delay or asked if we wanted drinks or needed anything. The food was tasty but the wait and service was not up to standard.

Visited a week ago for lunch. Very quiet, but nice & comfortable, friendly staff. The food was amazing! Will definitely go again.

I won't be going back there. The waitress picked up our plates when one of the group hadn't even finished , leaving only her plate on the table. Very poor service ! We had to complain about the desert as some ingredients were also missing. The food was tasteless , dry and very basic. Chelmsford one is sooo much nicer!! Very cold atmosphere and we felt they wanted to get rid of us as quickly as possible which was not a relaxing experience :(

Chairs are very uncomfortable but there was a female staff member who was outstanding, kind and patient and was a lovely waitress.

Was quite disappointed with Zizzi when visiting. The set meal was reasonably priced. I chose risotto and was told I "got a choice of a chicken or a prawn skewer with that". What I wasn't told was that there was a £5 surcharge. OK it may be in the menu, but it was smoothly offered as if it were part of the meal. Beware! Also had drinks added to the bill that we didn't have. Admittedly these were removed when we pointed it out but could have done without the servers sarky "is that better?" They made the mistake - not me!

Food was ok, music was far too loud, only 5 tables and everyone had to yell, service was disgusting, made us feel as we are not welcome at all, some food had been missing so we had to hunt it down. Was an awful experience, we will not go there again.

Excellent evening from start to finish. Felt very welcommened as soon as arrived by our lovely waitress Dominika. The restaurant is spacious and very well presented. As for the food, this was superb with a large variety to choose from. I went for the Smoked Salmon & Pestoo Risotto which was delicious. For dessert I had the very tasty Apple Cal'zuu'ne. Will be returning soon and great job Dominika and your team.

Food was edible it was a set fathers day menu, which we were informed after our meal we couldn't use tesco vouchers for, no biggy as we should have checked before. The staff were very attentive. But and this is a big BUT, the staff were genuinely so downbeat I was seriously concerned for their wellbeing. The one we had didn't care if we died. Not 1 single smile. We felt like they didn't want us to be there. It meant that there was no vibe and tbqh put me off going back. On a personal note, I hope what or whomever is making the staff so sad changes. I've never in my life seen anything like it. I'd liken the atmos it to a wake I went to a few years back.

The waitress was lovely. The food…….. it was inedible - I had to send it back!! The salmon was rock hard and salty tasting. The menu stated a mixed salad with avocado but it looked like a planet of iceberg lettuce with brown edges and no avocado. The sauce was used in excess for decoration. I’ve never handed back anything before. As mentioned the waitress was lovely. The building looks cute too. Just bad luck maybe?

I have used this restaurant for years now, if it had been my first visit I certainly wouldn't return. Disappointed with the dark dingy revamp. The disabled toilet needs updating, it was smelly and the seat was broken. More important, a friend and I went for lunch yesterday, pizza oven not working but we decided to stay. No sea bass! Only a choice of three salads, Chicken Milanese arrived looking like a chicken burger plonked on chips. Pesto Rosso was tasteless and congealed. To top it all a nauseating waitress who insisted on calling us 'lovely or lovelies'. THEN the card machine wouldn't work because the internet was down, complimentary coffee and hot chocolate certainly didn't make up for the awful experience. Sort it out Zizzi!!

They've recently refurbished zizzi hornchurch. You can't go wrong with zizzi. Their 3 course set menu is very reasonable with lots of choice. Staff are exceptional.

From the moment we arrived to when we left we were made to feel welcome. Food was very nice and arrived in good time. Only grumble I had was that because it was very quiet the two members of staff on didn't pay much attention, stood there looking at their phones and not keeping an eye out so trying to pay our bill took a while.

I went in today with my partner and we were served by Jen. I must say I received the best service I could imagine. She's very caring and pays excellent attention to detail, with seasoning being on the table, sauce and parmesan. Our table was always cleaned and we felt very cared for. She delivered special service for us with a smile. I can tell she loves being a waitress. I definitely feel she should be praised for her excellent service. The food was delicious too, though I must say the portions for the mains have decreased. Overall we were very happy and our date was a special highlight especially because of our waitress Jen.

Buzzy happy atmosphere with good food. Service was great. Lasagna was superb but small on portion size.

Was here for mothers day. Great atmosphere it was rammed but food was still lovely. Service suffered very slightly but was still really good considering how many covers they had. Really enjoyed it wld def return.

Food was okay, but the communication skills of the staff, especially the person managing the customers coming in, was quite poor.

We celebrated my friend daughter's birthday there. Staff is very friendly, helpful, and always smiling. The food is amazing!!! We ate pizzas and pork belly with chips, carrots, and sweet spicy jam. It was very tasty! The atmosphere there is very nice, interior is simple and at the same time very unique and modern. Highly recommended!

I know it was Valentine's day and a bit busy but my starter was stone cold so it got sent back. The main course was just warm enough but still a bit worrying as it was chicken. There are only 4 cocktails on the menu, there used to be more. Over all over priced for the what's on offer

Not keen on the food which seemed mass produced and reheated. Service very poor lacking any customer respect. Felt patronised by a surly slip of a girl waitress who looked just out of school constantly referring to me and my two companions as 'girls' - We are all old enough to be her grandmother!

Went there with work colleagues on a weekday. The restaurant is lovely looking and the food was nice too. I ordered the special crab cannelloni which was very nice and filling. The restaurant wasn't too busy and there was 3 servers despite this we had to call to get the attention of the servers multiple times and even after that once we got the bill and ready to pay took another 15mins to get someones attention.

Dreadful services , serving staff made errors with orders, having to ask for basics ie pepper and parmesan . Observed staff looking at each others phones whilst we were waiting to order food and drinks. Definitely will not recommend to others nor will I go back .

Long waits for service in a half full restaurant and then when the mains arrived, they'd forgotten my pizza which is a school boy mistake. They are lacking sufficient staff to run a full service however, if your a deliveroo driver, you wait 2 mins! Overall disappointed and will not bother gambling on zizi any more.

i went to get takeout and you know what happened to me? Now I will tell you quickly! I went to the bar and showed my order number the guy at the desk showed me a door and said to go there pointing at the door with his finger I asked him why he replied that I belong there I felt like a dog but I waited patiently for the waitress to bring me the food I needed to take it and I asked how I am different from the people who eat inside, that I have no right to enter, she was quite nice among other things, but what she explained to me infuriated me, she said that the correctional officers had ordered them not to let anyone in who would not food in the restaurant! So friends welcome to zizi! they offer takeaway food but you can't go inside, you'll stand at the door until someone notices you, you can't even ring or knock!

DO NOT EAT HERE! They served me contaminated food on 15/11/22 which led to me having food poisoning for 8 days. I tried to report the issue to the staff but I was ignored. I’ve reported Zizzi to the borough’s health team. I’ve had to go on meds & lab testing has confirmed that my food was contaminated. This is a very serious issue & Zizzi have failed their duty of care to provide customers with safe food! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

I only gave two for atmosphere as it was really cold in there and no Christmas music or decoration to speak of

The gluten free choice was limited, although the chocolate melt was divine. There were 6 of us and we were freezing. The air con was ON even though it was a very cold day (1° outside). Another group moved tables to get away from the air con. Last time I was there I ate with my coat on. Won't be going there again.

First time visiting since the refurbishment. Food was incredible So yummy Nice and busy which meant service was a bit slower than I'd imagined it would be Still good service when we got it. Lovely place for families

Our waitress was quite surly, she mumbled a lot, bunged stuff down on the table, didn't clear the table before the next course arrived, I still had my starter bowl on the table when I ate my dessert. There was no attention to detail. The food was ok, it's a chain so we didn't expect miracles. But I do expect good service, I was disappointed

Visited for the first time in several years as I am not a pasta/ pizza lover. First impressions were that this is a very relaxed place , clearly nobody gets dressed up to eat here. I think it is fair to say that there are some minor training issues,but hopefully these will be ironed out , having said that, the staff were friendly and helpful . The pasta and pizza dished we had were of generous proportions if a little bland for my taste, I don’t think you would leave here hungry. Wine can be had for around £17 a bottle,so quite reasonable. Beer,on the other hand ,was very overpriced . I think a half litre bottle ( that can be bought for £1.50 in Tesco’s ) was £6.95 😳 I think this venue would suit people who don’t want to go to the trouble of getting changed for dinner and just wast a relaxing time with plenty of comfort food. It’s not suitable for a special occasion or romantic evening.

First time visit, so I could catch up with some friends I've not seen for many years. Friendly staff, clean environment and would recommend. Food was nice and would eat here again.

We were seated straight away and our orders were promptly taken. Our food arrived quickly and it was hot and really delicious. The service we received was fantastic, the staff were polite and attentive. The prices I feel are quite reasonable. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. It was a good experience for my wife and myself and I feel we will be going back fairly soon.

Zizzi Hornchurch has had a refurbishment, it looks nice but very noisy & difficult to hear. Service was beyond slow, had to ask for everything like; pepper, cheese, oil. Had to keep trying to catch the eye of the waitress, plates were being cleared when people still eating. Just not an enjoyable experience. Seeing all the staff smoking outside isn’t a professional look.

This place has been recently renovated so we thought we’d pay it a visit. They took ages to take our food order and when it arrived the food was average. I had the pork belly which apparently came with crispy crackling. Well the crackling was like eating a chewy sponge and not crispy one bit. I had finished my starter but my partner and her friend were still eating their sharing platter, but the mains arrived at the table whilst still eating the starter. I asked for them to be taken away but the waiter just stood there and laughed and smirked. The manager has come over to find out the problem and I’ve explained the problem but it falls on deaf ears. Very poor customer service and you feel like your rushed through your food. Avoid avoid avoid.!

We had a meal here with a voucher that I had received, when I presented the voucher they had to check what I was allowed. I informed them what the website said snd even though they said they thought it had changed they honoured my voucher, so I was pleased about that. When you go to a chain like this you don’t expect fine dining, the food was ok, nothing special, you get what you pay for. The service was good and the staff were friendly and polite. I would probably only go again if I was in that area for a quick meal as I don’t think it’s somewhere I would celebrate a special occasion. It’s good if you have children as their menu has lots on it with plenty that kids would eat.

It was obviously very busy as it was father's day. The staff were lovely and coped very well with such a high rate of customers. I just think it's very expensive for nice food not exceptional food

Service DREADFULLY slow, 7 people, one course took an hour and three quarters with one member of the party getting forgotten!!! Yet MULTIPLE takeaway orders and other tables were being served. We didn't bother with desserts despite having a voucher for free desserts.

Nice bright decor and friendly staff overall. Food quality was good and had a good time there taking our time to have dinner and dessert on Valentines weekend. Did become a bit busy with families with kids but shows that its family friendly.
