My birthday celebrations with family & friends, excellent night from start to finish. Mitch the singer made the evening, singing a perfect range of songs from the 60s to present day, a great time was had by all.

Enjoyed a pleasant enough Sunday lunch here a week or so ago. Well proportioned meals, served in a timely manner. Our only reservation was the background music was quite intrusive. Despite requesting its reduction, we were informed that the clientele "expect this level of music". We however, struggled to make each other heard at casual communication level. Ultimately we retired to the sparsely occupied front entrance area for our dessert & coffee. So, all things considered, I wouldn't rush back on a day when a huge football international was taking place. If I was seeking that level of noise, I would simply opt for a 'pub lunch' and pocket the difference in price. SG.

Very busy but every member of staff very pleasant and helpful. Food excellent with large portions. Nothing too much trouble for all members of staff. Would definitely visit and recommend to others. Well done for coping on such a busy day so well. Thank you.

I would give zero starts if I could sat me down then when I asked if I could order food I got refused and asked to leave very bad service had my young daughter and wife with me had to get up and leave very heart breaking

Overpriced okay food. Paying london center prices for average food quality.

Really shocked at just how bad this restaurant was as it's always really busy when I walk past. We had the most greasy cheesy pepperoni pizza I've ever had. It was more like a deep dish Chicago town pizza. Lacked any flavour and was flooded with cheese and grease. The dough was average. The chicken was nice, but again had far too much cheese and the pasta and sauce lacked any sense of flavour. It was the least Italian, Italian I've ever had.

My partner treated me to a dinner. It was lovely.... front was open so the warm air flowing around. They had a singer on too. Thank you

Platter is lovely but if they more bread that will be more nice , the beef is cooked perfectly!! So yummy highly recommend to take that one of your going this restaurant, deserts are also good freshly made! Waiters/ss are very friendly and good service! There was also someone signing that we really enjoyed . We will see you again !

Enjoyed a fantastic group meal & party here, Jan 2024. Welcome & service all night was warm & friendly. Great range of drinks & cocktails. Food was fresh and delicious. Easy free parking outside after 630pm.

Went for the first time Friday 26th Jan couldn't fault it lovely atmosphere, fabulous food and staff so friendly and helpful, nothing too much trouble definitely going again.

The sharing board for starters was nice. The oil used for cooking smelt old and my clothes smelt of it. The pollo pasta was very oily so our party member couldn't eat it. The roast beef was tough. For the price they charge I would expect a lot higher standard.

Went for a works Christmas meal recently. Starter was good. Had the roast, the turkey was lovely and the Yorkshire was nice but the roast potatoes could have been better, the Brussels sprouts were rock hard and the gravy was not to my taste at all. Would have preferred the choice of pouring the gravy myself. And sadly we received our desserts 3 hours after we arrived (11.30pm) to which mine was wrong and by the time I did receive it I didn’t want it. The atmosphere and singer was great though.

Food was delicious, big portions, even if it’s a little on the pricey side. Unfortunately, even though our booking was for 2 hours, we were rushed out after an hour and a half a half before we could order dessert. Music is quite loud also, so a lot of shouting to speak to each other.

Never disappoints! Food always excellent and plentiful and the set lunch is very good value. The staff are also lovely and always friendly and helpful. Our go to restaurant locally.

First visit, with some family members, including our 1 year granddaughter . Food was fantastic. Staff were friendly and attentive. I only gave 4 for the atmosphere as there was a singer on and although she was good you couldn't talk at the table without shouting.

Very Limited Menu Choice. Food Was Not What I Would Expect For A Restaurant With The Prices And Look Of The Place. Starter Was A Ball Of Mush And The Lobster Ravioli Was Cold And Tadted Like It Was Filled With Sandwich Paste. The Chocolate Brownie Was The Highlight Of The Evening. Manager Was Extremely Friendly.

Very nice place to eat and the service was very good but it's just a bit on the pricey side for what you get but very pleased with the food quality but other than the high prices I would of given a 5 star review.

Went here for a Sunday roast. Has indoor and outdoor seating. And dogs welcome outside. Was such a good atmosphere there was a live singer! It's very reasonable prices and cocktails were amazing! The portions were a good size get a variety of vegetables compared to some places I've visited. Good for a family Sunday meal loved it! Will be back soon for the pasta as I heard it's incredible

One staff member very rude to others people asking questions about the restaurant

£200 for 3 steaks and a salad, 5 pints of peroni and a pina colada between 4 people. Food was nice but it is not a cost effective restaurant for a family meal.

Had a great meal here tonight with my girlfriend. The service was exceptional and the staff very welcoming and polite. We had the olives and bread to start along with an aperol spritz and limoncello spritz. Too our delight it was 241 on cocktails. Main courses arrived and looked very appealing. I had the Mare (seafood pasta) and my other half had the Mezzelune (mushroom and truffle stuffed pasta. While my seafood pasta was exceptional, with lovely big prawns and perfectly cooked scallops, the Mezzelune was the absolute showstopper. Rich but perfectly balanced. I also managed to fit and lemon tart in that was exquisite. The frozen raspberries that it came with is one of my favourite things. It was lovely to have the live singer who came on and off throughout the night. Again props to the staff who were lovely all the way through. And hats off to head chef and his team. Could see myself coming back once a month. Keep up the good work.

Disappointing return to Osteria. Loud, noisy, food on the floor, service was very intermittent and required chasing. Fish curry was expensive and lacklustre, and equally the breaded chicken and pasta. Stonebass risotto looked nice but otherwise this is a no-return for me.

Awful evening on Wednesday 28 June 2023. There was a children’s sport award ceremony going on in part of the restaurant that must’ve been hired out. Microphone, shouting screaming, music, singing …unbelievable noise. I was meeting up with friends who we hadn’t seen for over 20 years. Couldn’t hear ourselves think. Spoilt the evening completely. Nothing was mentioned when we booked.

Visited here for my Nans 96th Birthday meal and I was not disappointed! The service was great the staff were very friendly especially paid attention to my two year old daughter and made her laugh! Food was delicious, you know when a menu is good when you can't decide what to have but it just means we will be back. I had the salmon and the mango sorbet and also shared some of my husbands yummy chocolate brownie! Definitely recommend 👌

Food was cold and returned twice... eventually taken off the bill (not eaten). Entertainment was cancelled and children were screaming in the restaurant circa 8.30! The staff were pleasant. Shame

We booked for a sunday recently at Osteria Due Amici and we were a little disappointed to find that the usual A la Carte menu was much reduced as they have a sunday roast menu. Unfortunately, we hadn't realised that, which was our error. However, Lauren and Molly noticed our disappointment and rapidly came over to talk to us. They very kindly asked us what we would prefer to eat and they spoke to the chefs who were able to accommodate our wishes. This was superb customer service. Lauren and Molly and all the other serving staff were so attentive and kind. The food tasted great and was very plentiful. It made a pleasant change not to have to order extra sides to bulk out a meal as so many other restaurants are doing. Highly recommend this place!

I still have not visited this restaurant for some time.

Been going for a while now and gradually standards have slipped. To be clear I gave the owner plenty of opportunity to discuss issues prior to writing this review. The pursuit of profit is clearly above quality now. Tables are too small for a family with children to dine on. We were sat almost inside the kitchen. Hearing the everything said. It was so loud we couldn’t even talk. Having been a few times spoke to the owner who’s arrogance was an amazing example of how not to treat a customer. Especially one who knows so many people in Upminster and has enjoyed it before. I tried to give him feedback to help improve but he was dismissive. Meat quality has reduced. Service feels rushed although the staff are very nice. Previously this place was a 4 star not anymore.

this was our second time coming here, and we think it’s the last. the food was nothing amazing, we paid £35 for a fillet, and requested it medium but came out well done, same as the burger, was dry and over cooked. the only food that tasted nice was the pizza…. a very overpriced restaurant and the food is underwhelming for the price

We’ve been to this restaurant before and had lovely food and great service but today was not good. I booked ahead and was aware we had a 2 hour slot. Upon arrival we were told that as it was really busy it was better to order quickly, we ordered our roasts and was literally served in 10 minutes… the food was nice but warm not hot.. once we finished our dinner we were offered desert, we hadn’t been in there an hour yet and then we were informed we should order our dessert as they would need our table back soon! We still had at least an hour left… we spoke to a manager who listened to us saying we didnt appreciate being rushed and made to feel uncomfortable, no apology was made just was told yes you still have the table for an hour. We were talked about amongst the waitresses quite clearly.. we will not be returning and quite honestly I don’t think the management care! If you’re not in the in crowd you’re not important… I do not appreciate being made to feel uncomfortable whilst going out for a family meal!

Great food, always decent service and a wide variety of options on the menu.

First visit here for the Sunday roast, and we weren't disappointed. Large place with lots of tables, seemingly very popular with pretty much a full house during our visit. The service was polite and efficient, although we felt for the young girls and boys working as they evidently had a pushy boss. I could see him egging them on to offer dessert menus and the bill; keen to turn tables over but making it awkward for the staff who clearly felt uncomfortable about it. We didn't feel rushed, but it's not good to see. Pleasant atmosphere, although it was very loud in the restaurant, so unfortunately, conversation was sometimes difficult. Great food nonetheless, and a seemingly varied menu aside from the roast options. Clearly, a popular choice on the highstreet, would recommend.

Most staff were friendly and attentive. The main host was rushing us, to get more in. The food was presented well, but the quality of the produce was poor e.g. cheap frozen prawns, tough calamari and ropey burger that could have been from Iceland’s . I don’t think this place is actually run by Italians tbh.

The A&E dept had their Christmas meal there. All I can say is that the staff were amazing, despite the fact that we were very demanding, they never moaned one. The food was fantastic, everyone said so. Will be coming back in the new year for more of the wonderful food. Big thank you to all staff!!!

Love it here, go often and highly recommend. Love that the menu changes but the favourites are still on the menu. Definitely go to one of the fish nights, I have included the pictures from my last one. I have been here twice recently, once with the private hire and a private singer for my 40th and everyone had the best day, you could literally be anywhere. They serve very generous portions and I am yet to finish a meal. I also sat in the private curtain section with all my family and the kids absolutely love it. The kids meals are so big that we ended up taking most of the garlic pizza breads home. The prawn, crab and mussels pasta is a must for fish lovers and the calamari is one of my favourites. Definitely make your way through the cocktail list as well, they are good 😍

Went for lunch for the 1st time. We ate off the lunch menu 2 courses £17 or 3 for £19. The meals were amazingly good for the price. I had the King Prawn Linguine which was the best I've had at any restaurant. Followed by Chocolate Brownie with ice cream. Great service completed a 5 star experience

Traditional Italian place with tasty food! Despite the big size of the restaurant, they manage to maintain the quality high. Portions are very big!

"Nice setting Italian with good food and great service." April 2022 was 5 stars but had to change that.... Been again in July 2022 and the menu and food totally changed. Food came late , was dry and over done and not the quality we had in April. A let down.

Delicious food with great portion sizes. Great service and friendly staff. I had the steak medium rare whih was beautiful for a sirloin and my partner had the lamb which was incredible! The desserts were amazing too and much larger than expected: we had cannoli and panna cotta.

Certain staff was quite rude, the food was not good quality and overpriced would never recommend this restaurant to anyone. You better off eating in the pub next door.

The 'Go To' restaurant in Upminster. Fantastic owners and team always deliver great food and service. Costata is my personal favourite, but there are many good dishes to choose from.

Awful place. We didn’t even get seated. Staff said we weren’t allowed in if we just wanted coffee. He even said usually we’d allow you to sit outside but “it cold”. I was so shocked. I’ve never been refused entry into a restaurant before - let alone a 1* place on Upminster high street. The place was pretty much empty you would have assumed they wanted the business. Will not be visiting

The food is fantastic and the service is excellent. I would recommend this place highly and it's worth a visit if you are ever in the Upminster area.

Beautiful place, great service attentive without being overbearing not rushed....I never eat a roast dinner at a restaurant/carvery but it looked amazing and it did NOT disappoint. Thank you for a lovely afternoon

6 of us ate. Roast dinner was superb. Surf & turf was delivered as asked. Pig in blankets are always lovely. So no complaints about food. Slightly disappointed by the amount of people crammed into such a small area. Waitresses had a problem getting to our table to serve. Very strange leaning over people.

Terrible service - waited ages for food - didn’t bring water when asked. Waited so long for first course that we cancelled the second course then they wanted to charge us a cover charge, the. Tried to charge us 10 euro extra. Awful.

Some of our meals were lovely, spag bol tasteless and quite dry but we were offered them for free and had a free drink which was very generous. Would go there again

We have been for family dinner . It was our first time there. Lovely atmosphere. The staff very friendly, helpful and professional. Food delicious. Personally I enjoyed the most the Margherita cocktail. Best ever had!!! We will definitely come back. This is an other great place to return on our list.

Make sure to check your bill! We had a lovely Valentine's meal with roses and balloons decorating the restaurant. When the bill arrived, they had not taken off the £20 per person deposit which had been pre-paid over the phone. We pointed this out and the waitress left to change the bill, however the card reader was still presenting the original full amount - we didn't realise until the payment had gone through. It was a noticeable amount of £40 which they kindly refunded by cash, but only after we pointed it out (again). I assume every single Valentine's dinner booking had the same £20 per person deposit. I was left with the feeling that it was not an accidental mistake because they were hoping we wouldn't notice or wouldn't point it out. I would hate to see other restaurant guests get caught out by this error! We also felt a little rushed with multiple waiting staff peering at our table throughout the meal, when we were clearly still eating.

Well should of told me the menu change as wasn't aware when the booking was made and was, and could not give us a option from the a la carte menu.

Portion sizes match the prices(especially the appetizers), definitely got my money's worth. The food was good but other restaurants do it better.

Very noisy with a 70's soundtrack that reminded us more of Great Aunties wedding rather than a romantic Italian meal. Food was good, staff were polite and prices reasonable. Covid precautions not brilliant bordering on non-existent.
