We had an appointment at the vet in Romford early in the morning, and since we didn't have time to eat at home, we decided to find a place nearby for breakfast. we drove to Hornchurch and We stumbled upon this spot and checked out the menu. As we always make sure to eat halal, we weren't sure if they served halal options, so we asked. They kindly confirmed that they could serve halal food, which was a relief. We ordered avocado on toast and an omelette. When the food arrived, we were pleasantly surprised by the generous portion sizes. Not only was it enough to satisfy a hungry person, but it was also beautifully presented, making the meal all the more enjoyable. The service was friendly and attentive, and the food itself was delicious. The only downside for us was that it was a bit on the pricey side. However, given the quality of the food and service, it was still a satisfying experience. I wish them all the best, and if I'm ever in the area again, I would definitely consider coming back.

Message to Ken, the business owner. I ordered via Just Eat and received the incorrect order this morning, you will know this as we spoke in depth on the phone. You advised that you are not able to refund me the order as it needs to be flagged with Just Eat. Unfortunately, Just Eat are not able to refund me as per our telephone call and I am now out of pocket, with items I did not order. It wasn’t a similar order, it was entirely the wrong order. Until this has been sorted and a refund has been provided by yourselves and/or Just Eat, I will be out of pocket, disappointed with the service from both parties - with no resolve imminent, I have left this review in hopes of getting somewhere with it all. Hoping you can help in someway. UPDATE in response to Ken - My issue is a partial refund for a meal that has been delivered (non vegetarian) to a vegetarian that has ordered a vegetarian meal is not an acceptable refund. I would expect a full refund, not partial, considering it was inedible for me. Please liaise with your account manager at Just Eat because your response does not warrant a sufficient solution.

Ordered a chicken ceaser salad - received a box full of coleslaw and onion salad which smelt rotten and similar to nail varnish remover - spoke to the restaurant, man was shouting at me down the phone, very unprofessional and rude.

Staff member made a mistake with my order. But instead of apologising and rectifying the issue, he was extremely rude and unprofessional.

Ordered fish and chips and the lady who took the order she was nice. But the fish looks over fried out side and wanted to change. The owner came he was very rude when he explaining that the fish is from frozen and this is not a fish and chips shop, this is caffe! He also said he will not serve me, means kick me out from the shop indirectly! I found his behaviour racist as I am brown skin and he is super nice with native! Also his body language was so rude and aggressive! Avoid the place. Rubbish.

Great customer service,friendly,helpful,polite.Lady was mopping as it was nearing end of the day and made me a fantastic Cappuccino to my request of not much froth.I overheard a man at the till telling her how to make a cappuccino and that what she had done was wrong,I disagree as she had good manners,made my coffee as I had requested.Very well made Cappuccino and I drank it with a smile as it was good. Well done to the lady that served me and made the Cappuccino,I will be returning but due to the customer service provided by the lady not due to the man who had no idea what I had requested but tried to make the waitress feel like she had gone something wrong.

We had an incredible experience at Tops Cafe in Hornchurch! From the moment we walked in, the cozy atmosphere and friendly staff made us feel right at home. I tried their delicious omelette, which was cooked to perfection, while my son devoured their mouthwatering burger paired with an indulgent Oreo milkshake. Every bite was a burst of flavor! The attention to detail and quality ingredients truly set Tops Cafe apart. We'll definitely be back for more of their delightful offerings. Highly recommended!

As always the "full English" was lovely, hot & filling. I love that they always pay attention to the notes & if they can they give me what I've asked for. Great poached egg today, nice runny yoke. Definitely recommend. Thank you. X

Had 2 coffee's here today both looked like cups of milk had to ask for more coffee. .coffee was all in the saucer waitress with wiping it with a tissue and wiping the table with her hand ✋️ terrible service.

I ordered cheese on toast and paid eight pound for the privilege! I received two slices of toast, no cheese! Easy mistake perhaps? But yesterday they forgot the baked beans on my order!!! Not at all helpful just told me to tell just eat I did not get the cheese on toast! Used this restaurant several times will not be using it again!

The full English Breakfast is soooo lovely. It's arrives hot & the coffee is tasty too. If you want a break from cooking & fancy a proper breakfast I recommend them. Thanks for cooking for me, a nice change from me cooking for others x

Breakfast set menu! was so over cooked it was like chewing cardboard Sausages tasted very cheap Had to order beans (wasnt included) or breakfast would have been too dry Sauces and sugar were in those silly little sachets so get get enough to had to use most of the ones on table and had to ask for more sugar! Definitely won't be using this place again

Ordered Sunday roasts with apple pie and custard for desert. Very good portion size, well cooked lovely food. Beef was better than the lamb. Only fault, custard spilt from one desert in transit. Hardly the cafés fault.

Food was cold, crusty bread was soggy and taste of the paper bag, beans had a funny taste too

Food wasn't great, to much cheese on the chilli, lasagne looked like it came out of a ready meal and was dry. Really no happy as we paid nearly £50 for this food.

Went for a breakfast on a Sunday morning. Had to wait 50 minutes for our food as there was lots of Uber drivers collecting orders that for some reason had priority for some reason. Other customers ordered after us got their food before us. Toast went cold before the meal came out eggs were hard. Forgot some of the order. Wasn’t the best experience but only good thing was that they gave us 2 cans of Coke for free. Did explain to the staff the few concerns but didn’t really want to know.

Delivery driver took 30 minutes for a 5 minute journey, food was cold no apology absolutely disgraceful

Both meals the meat was dry and over cooked - it's a shame as the food here used to be lovely. May just be an off day but with prices escalating wasn't worth the money this time round 😕

I used this cafe a couple times now and always been really nice but today was very disappointing

Two pots of beans placed on top of all the food and had completely emptied over everything, so I had no beans with the breakfasts as wanted and the sandwich was soaked in bean juice and was squashed as the sandwich was at the bottom of the bag...

Very good, but there's no option for no butter or milk in coffee and I was unable to speak to the restaurant to tell them about allergies, so coffee came with milk and bread came with butter, i had to throw both away.

You place orders here & then 20 minutes later they will cancel the order, wasting your time thinking your order is going to come & then it does not, guess they make too much money here, hit the button & not even a call.

Very over priced rude waitress ordered a quarter pounder that was definitely just a normal burger I question about it to be told it is also had to wait a long time for chips that was ordered at the same time a cooked breakfast that was very poor shame the price wasn’t £8.90 for £5 worth of food avoid avoid avoid at all cost or it will cost you dear !!!!!!

My food was delivered late and it was damaged and leaking all over the bag There's no black pudding in it.

Classic cafe in terms of decor and layout. Food was priced pretty much in line with the other local area cafes. Avocado and eggs on toast was nice but nothing mind blowing. The chocolate milkshake though was amazing! Best milkshake I’ve had from a cafe in a while and very reasonably priced too. Winners!

The packaging of my eggs benedict was substandard. The hollandaise leaked from the standard kebab foam container and spilt into the bag. The courier was somehow embarrassed that he had to give me that cheap plastic bag with 3/4 of the sauce at the bottom of it. As expected, the container contained a mess. One of the poached eggs had been punctured, and the yolk was drained outside. Cheap and insufficient packaging for this dish. Cafe 108 offers adequate packaging and a better product. Will not order from here again, I'm afraid.

All of the drinks had completely spilled in the bag and were still delivered to us so we now have to dispose of a bag full of liquid that has gone all over my kitchen

The food arrived hot, fresh and tasted amazing. I love eggs benedict but was worried about ordering from a café. The homemade hollandaise was perfect, I highly recommend the eggs benedict and would order again from here.

On the English Breakfast order I had to tick tea or coffee, however there is no option to ask for black tea or coffee, I therefore could not drink my coffee which came already mixed with milk. Also no option for an alternative to bread or for it to come without butter. Sausages were utterly awful.

The cheese and ham toastie was just toasted bread with cold cheese and ham inside, none of it was melted or even warm which was a shame. The bacon sausage and egg baguette was perfect

A lovely cafe with a big menu. Lots to choose from. You can even customise your breakfast. Optional extras too. The young ladies who work there are absolutely lovely, great customer service. The food was great. I ate so much! Food is good quality, eggs cooked perfectly. I'd like to visit again and try more dishes! A couple of suggestions: updatethe prices on the board/wall and perhaps experiment with a different type of sausage. Everything else is banging!

Just came out of there 12pm 15/07/22 had two set breakfasts food is very over priced for what it is very bland and low quality ingredients did try to tell waitress to come over and I would have discussed this matter but kept doing her hardest to avoid looking in our direction by messing about with the coffee machine and popping in and out of the kitchen over £17 for set 4 breakfast ,any item Breakfest and 2x can of Coke as I was not satisfied with the food I did warn to builders who walked in and went sit next to us the food was not that great and they left also further more it they don’t seem to accommodate push chairs as it’s lay out for table coverage

I've had coffee here a few times, always nice. Yesterday I had the mixed grill: lamb chops, liver, sausages, chips and egg. It was enormous! It was well cooked and quite tasty. The cost was about a tenner, so good value. The menu is extensive and good value. Pleasant staff. Recommended.

Custard explosion, meant that I was cleaning up the delivery before I could eat it. I am willing to believe that the custard pot was bumped in transit however; it doesn't explain why I got apple pie instead of cherry pie or why the beef was so dry that I could have used it for old shoe leather. Very disappointing, I'm not expecting perfection but, I am expecting a decent meal that I ordered.

Since the sad demise of the Garden Cafe, this is the best cafe in Hornchurch for a nice lunch, a HUGE and tasty burger or a coffee.

One day, I remember having to go to another cafe on this site. The food I ordered had gristle in the sausages. Tops has the best quality. The best service. Love it.
