Wow what a lovely cafe and atmosphere! Such tasty food, staff were so welcoming and helpful. Very clean. Big portion sized meals! Will definitely be coming back.

We had an incredible experience at Tops Cafe in Hornchurch! From the moment we walked in, the cozy atmosphere and friendly staff made us feel right at home. I tried their delicious omelette, which was cooked to perfection, while my son devoured their mouthwatering burger paired with an indulgent Oreo milkshake. Every bite was a burst of flavor! The attention to detail and quality ingredients truly set Tops Cafe apart. We'll definitely be back for more of their delightful offerings. Highly recommended!

Had 2 coffee's here today both looked like cups of milk had to ask for more coffee. .coffee was all in the saucer waitress with wiping it with a tissue and wiping the table with her hand ✋️ terrible service.

we've eaten twice here & both times the service & food was lovely. fresh hot tea. we cannot complain at all. Will definitely eat in there again soon.

Breakfast set menu! was so over cooked it was like chewing cardboard Sausages tasted very cheap Had to order beans (wasnt included) or breakfast would have been too dry Sauces and sugar were in those silly little sachets so get get enough to had to use most of the ones on table and had to ask for more sugar! Definitely won't be using this place again

Not actually open on Sundays...

Went for a breakfast on a Sunday morning. Had to wait 50 minutes for our food as there was lots of Uber drivers collecting orders that for some reason had priority for some reason. Other customers ordered after us got their food before us. Toast went cold before the meal came out eggs were hard. Forgot some of the order. Wasn’t the best experience but only good thing was that they gave us 2 cans of Coke for free. Did explain to the staff the few concerns but didn’t really want to know.

You place orders here & then 20 minutes later they will cancel the order, wasting your time thinking your order is going to come & then it does not, guess they make too much money here, hit the button & not even a call.

Very over priced rude waitress ordered a quarter pounder that was definitely just a normal burger I question about it to be told it is also had to wait a long time for chips that was ordered at the same time a cooked breakfast that was very poor shame the price wasn’t £8.90 for £5 worth of food avoid avoid avoid at all cost or it will cost you dear !!!!!!

Classic cafe in terms of decor and layout. Food was priced pretty much in line with the other local area cafes. Avocado and eggs on toast was nice but nothing mind blowing. The chocolate milkshake though was amazing! Best milkshake I’ve had from a cafe in a while and very reasonably priced too. Winners!

A lovely cafe with a big menu. Lots to choose from. You can even customise your breakfast. Optional extras too. The young ladies who work there are absolutely lovely, great customer service. The food was great. I ate so much! Food is good quality, eggs cooked perfectly. I'd like to visit again and try more dishes! A couple of suggestions: updatethe prices on the board/wall and perhaps experiment with a different type of sausage. Everything else is banging!

Just came out of there 12pm 15/07/22 had two set breakfasts food is very over priced for what it is very bland and low quality ingredients did try to tell waitress to come over and I would have discussed this matter but kept doing her hardest to avoid looking in our direction by messing about with the coffee machine and popping in and out of the kitchen over £17 for set 4 breakfast ,any item Breakfest and 2x can of Coke as I was not satisfied with the food I did warn to builders who walked in and went sit next to us the food was not that great and they left also further more it they don’t seem to accommodate push chairs as it’s lay out for table coverage

I've had coffee here a few times, always nice. Yesterday I had the mixed grill: lamb chops, liver, sausages, chips and egg. It was enormous! It was well cooked and quite tasty. The cost was about a tenner, so good value. The menu is extensive and good value. Pleasant staff. Recommended.

Since the sad demise of the Garden Cafe, this is the best cafe in Hornchurch for a nice lunch, a HUGE and tasty burger or a coffee.

it's a nice place waitress who was tall and blonde served me was lovely felt like i had a geniuine conversation with her. However experienced was slightly ruined by the boss shouting at a customer not exactly what good customer service is!

I had not visited England for a few months and I wanted to have the traditional English breakfast Top’s cafe had the best review and I was not disappointed! Nice café. Food was served quite fast. I had a jacket potato which was perfectly cooked and it came with a small salad. Coffee was fresh and hot. Would come back again. Giving 4 stars because there was no alternative to cow's milk.

First time being here. Food tastes really nice. My friend wasn't happy though when he ordered an omelette and they brought a baguette instead. He was just too polite and hesitant about correcting it so he had that instead. The staff should have heard him as he clearly said omelette and pointed to it on the menu. Maybe they were new staff. They brought mine correctly, Full English Breakfast and I was able to swap the black pudding with anything on the menu, so I picked chips. Great prices for a large breakfast. Very clean, it's convenient that, there are also toilets here for customers only.

this morning the eggs were slightly undercooked however i have no other complaints. compliments to the chef

Quite new, staff are pleasant and food is good but, when ordering a sandwich it came up as fresh loaf and the slices were so big we had to take all the crusts off before we could eat it. Apart from that no complaints whatsoever.

would not return to this establishment very disappointed as it had come recommended and was going to start using regularly. Will go elsewhere in future where I am not charged for food I have not had. If you have food allergies they refuse to check ingredients, is it that hard to read the back of a loaf of bread wrapper yet still charged for a bacon sandwich they didn't even cook as I cancelled order while waitress still at table taking it when she refused to check allergens.

Use to come here a lot but I won't bother much nicer cafés about . My eldely friend and I were moved from our table mid ..meal.beciase a table of 5 were at the door and had no other large tables that we were told to sit at .rather then let us have 5 minutes to finish the manger grabbed my friends drink and placed it at another table over the other side . While we sat there gobsmacked.... aparently he said he's done it before ..

My sister and I had lunch here yesterday. The whole place was clean and there was plenty of space to distance. Tables were cleaned as soon as someone left. I had a latte and a sausage and onion sandwich and shared some chips. Food was served quickly, came out hot and was delicious. The bread was so fresh and soft. This was my first time at Tops Cafe but will not be my last.

Great and quick service. Impressed with the burger. I was expecting something more basic, wasn't expecting gherkins. Great value for money.

I never normal rave over a ham and mushroom omelette BUT the one I had today was yummy. They did not scrimp on the ham or mushroom. The mushrooms were cubes rather than sliced. The service here is always spot on. Thank you to all the lovely staff

the waiting staff were so amazing and lovely :) found a hair in our food, gave it back without a fuss or complaining, then got confronted by the owner when we were paying, shouting at my partner and accusing him of putting his own hair in the food. so rude and unprofessional!!

Have been before, but the four times I went in August twice I received the wrong order even though I stressed if you haven’t got what I ordered I would choose something else, so it was sent back after the young waitress with blue hair said I will get what is available, and I left having nothing. On the last occasion I ordered the same as my friend so to avoid any problems, a set meal,and as my friend was halfway through his I had to remind someone that we did order two, alas it never arrived. But they still attempted to charge me for it. Would not recommend this establishment.

Our first visit to Tops Cafe. Friendly helpful staff and rapid service, good value for money (even better with eat out to help out scheme!) lovely coffee. Clean and social distancing adhered to. We will be back.

Nice and clean venue, staff are not friendly or customer focused though. Don't expect polite service let alone good service. I had an issue with the breakfast as I had to remove about 50ml of greasy liquid from the plate as my food was literally drowning below 3mm of liquid. It took 4 serviettes soaked 100% through to absorb the liquid. When I spoke to the manager I got no apology or any offer to correct the issue just an excuse about it being mushroom juice. When I expressed my dissatisfaction he just argued with me and did nothing about my complaint. I was offered no discount and left thinking "I will never use that place again!" I've just taken the time to read some other reviews of this site and I'm absolutely shocked by the published responses from the manager. He accepts no responsibility and argues about every complaint. This guy is not over defensive he is absolutely ignorant of the concept that is customer service. This is the worst example of management lacking customer service skills I have ever witnessed and I plan on using this place as a case study example when training staff on customer service. Thank you for providing a perfect example of how not to deal with customer complaints. Just so you know I'm not an ignorant idiot I have 30+ years experience as a chef to executive head chef level. I was formerly head of catering for Westminster Council providing 20000+ meals daily and currently work as a senior manager with a branded high Street restaurant chain with in excess of 150 sites........I know what I'm talking about, I don't think you do
