Love your pizzas,my wife loves your spicy aberreta pasta sauce.(I think that’s the right spelling) I’m a carbonara man myself. “Lovely”. Shame you can’t eat in any more, but I’m sure there’s a reason.

I have been a customer of Bunno for a number of years now. I know what good quality food and coffee and service is and I can tell you that Bunno satisfies my demand for these three things. Bunno is a hidden gem in Romford that deserves to be discovered by anyone who appreciates the finest in food and coffee. The attention to detail and commitment to quality make it a must-visit establishment for any mature, discerning adult who knows the difference between exceptional and ordinary food and drink. I believe they roast their coffee beans in-house, and you can taste the difference. The coffee here is on a whole other level compared to the likes of Costa and Starbucks. It's rich, aromatic, and is of very high quality. I don't know the owner's background, but what's clear is that they have a profound understanding of what it takes to serve top-notch food and beverages and provide good service. Do yourself a favor and visit Bunno. The quality and knowledge of the owners shine through in every aspect of this coffee shop and restaurant. It's time to stop messing around with the likes of Costa and Starbucks because, in all seriousness, their coffee and food doesn't even come close to what you'll find at Bunno.

The best little pasta place in Romford! It's such a shame you can't eat in anymore, but I just got the takeaway for the first time and it's just as good as I remember and the staff are still lovely 🥰 £9.99 for a good portion of pasta, a slice of carrot cake and a coffee. Perfect comfort food this time of year! Thank you 🙏

Lovely little traditional Italian deli. Great coffee shop where you can also grab a slice. Fresh pasta also available. Staff are polite and friendly. Good location right by Romford’s historic market and other great businesses.

They have changed the place not even sure if you can eat in now the menu has changed and is basic the food is not as good as it use to be bland and the pasta doesn’t seem in house anymore the pizza isn’t done in the stone oven anymore and was dry very disappointing really use to love this place

Popped in for a takeaway pasta for lunch. It’s so great to find somewhere that actually offers pasta as a takeaway and is reasonable priced. Food is very tasty and made quick. Staff friendly too and got a complimentary cookie. Will be back every couple of weeks

My favourite!! I’ve ordered from Bunno so many times - my order is always the creamy mushroom pasta with chilli & garlic because it cannot be beaten! Comforting & delicious :) (thank you for the cookie surprise yesterday too!)

Pasta was not nice, very plain, garlic bread was bad, would not recommend.

I had food a few times at Bunno and found the pasta and pizza tasty and the staff friendly. Nice atmosphere even if I wish there was a bit more natural light in the back.

Food quality used to be amazing, fresh pasta every time. Now the pasta doesn't taste like it's been freshly made and the portion sizes are a quarter of what they used to be, completely lost the value for money they once were. I understand inflation and would have been fine paying extra but not paying the same price for a fraction of the portion. Service also wasn't great barely made eye contact with my daughter when they passed her the collection. Disappointed to say the least. They need to bring the love back into their product

The only coffee roasters in the town here that I could see set among the many usual places of Starbucks, Costas, Gregs. A very good cup of coffee (super hot!!) served by a friendly lady, plus also I bought a spicy pasta lunch bucket which was very tasty. Fair prices with deals available. All was take away and nowhere to sit, some seating would be really nice. A good place and a nice independent business!! deserves a good review!!

Very friendly atmosphere. Is easy to order using QR codes placed on each the tables no need to queue, however if you prefer you can still order going to till and place the order. Take away also available All food is made fresh, taste delightful not mentioning traditional Italian coffee. Another golden star to visit in Romford.

Half decent pasta, but the sauces aren't authentic and poor quality. Should be closed down for putting cream in there carbonara.

Popped in for lunch today. Beautifully cooked fresh pasta, delicious pizza and staff that actually care. We have passed this restaurant a few times and commented angel nice the food looked. It was our first time there and Bunno didn't disappoint. Highly recommend.

Loved the food here - ravioli. Staff were fantastic and the chef certainly know's what he's doing. One of the best meals I've had in quite some time and will definitely be going back.

was my favourite spot for coffee in Romford until today , walked in orderd coffee , waited in side , was told off by this new staff member stay on side , when I asked why , was told I am disturbing him set up tray, in very rude mannier this person should not be working in hospitality. Thanks to him u lost loyal costumer.. Also such rude response from owner , definitely don't want leave my money there

I’ve ordered multiple times and we’ve eaten in before over 5 times, unreal pasta and starters but I ordered today and it was dry with no cheese like I ordered which was such a shame. Hopefully was a one off

We have searched high and low for pizza that matches Bunnos. We have tried every pizza in Brighton and London and nothing tops Bunnos. Service is great. Food is great. Please never close down 🫶🏻

One of our walk in restaurants of choice in Romford. Works well for families with children and has a good selection of wines to complement the great fresh pasta and pizza. Mostly bottled European lager and no cider, so could improve the selection a bit. Usually enough free tables for a causal walk-in.

I literally LOVE Bunno, food is amazing. The restaurant is lovely, staff are so friendly and welcoming. I visit often, taken friends and family there, ordered takeaway SO many times but I received my order today (Uber eats) and the portion has literally been halved, literally could not believe it. Totally not worth it.

Found this little gem of a place, could have been 5 stars. Food was excellent, I had pizza which was tasty and not chewy! Reason for not 5 stars is down to poor service, it wasn’t busy when we came in, ordered at the counter and had to prompt the girl for our drinks. If they could pay more attention to their service, they would certainly get all 5 stars in my opinion.

A bit different ordering by phone but was good Food was lovely I had Mushroom Piazza with a bowl of Aioli to dip the crust in was really nice , had a strawberry frozen smoothie that was nice too Very nice Atmosphere really nice experience I will definitely go back again for that mushroom pizza really yummy

Have been here 3 times now with a variety of results. First time me and my friend thought we had found a hidden gem! Food was great and extremely nice coffee to match. Service was also very friendly and efficient Second time we had a very average experience. Coffee good but food wasn’t so much. Calamari was very oily with no flavour, that was the thing that was most disappointing. Third time wasn’t great..extremely slow service and had to ask for multiple things multiple times…pasta wasn’t great also. Very bland tasting and something I could of make better at home to be honest. I added something’s to the pasta also and it came to around £18 with a drink. Wasn’t worth the price at all First time 5* Second 3* Third 1* If I am to come back and the experience improves to what it was originally I will edit this review to what it deserves

Why bother making hand made pasta to then ruin it with unauthentic over sweet sauces. I tried the carbonara - the Panchette was not cooked,no rendering of fat or caramelisation so it was like eating a load of tasteless jelly fat urgh! There was no cheese in the sauce- it should have pecorino!!! Ant the sauce itself was a weird sweet grey colour. The bolognaise again was a odd overly sweet sauce,even my 3 year old didn’t want anything to do with it- utterly disappointed!

If I can leave 0 stars I will! I don't understand why this place has so good rewies. The food was terrible... We order pasta carbonara and bolognese and this was tasteless thing which we ever ate! The service was bad and the staff was impolite, we wait a lot for our food also. We are very disspointed! We will never go back there for sure!

overpriced coffee, stale (probably store-bought) pastries, staff were rude calling me ‘childish’ when i’d been there all day doing work on a laptop? also limited options for those who are vegetarian/vegan. although it tasted okay, it had limited flavour and the drink options were also quite limited. definitely not going again.

Everything at Bunno is made with love and care, the quality of food is outstanding with the added bonus of great coffee too! Friendly staff and great atmosphere, I couldn't recommend this place more!

Ordered a chai latte, it's the best I've tasted anywhere as they use good quality chai powder rather than syrup! The atmosphere was cosy and warm. Looking forward for my anniversary date here

this is something, edges puffed and crispy, well done Bunno. the pizza dough transported me all the way to Napoli.

Not sure why this place has good reviews. Thought the coffee would be wonderful due to other reviews I saw and had high hopes as there are no good coffee shops in Romford. Coffee was terrible and watery. Staff can’t understand English well. The vibe inside is uncomfortable because there are groups of men that stare at you whilst you mind your own business. The pasta tasted like it was made with Tesco value ready-made tomato sauce and had the tiniest bit of vegetables. Stingiest portion of cheese too. The only good thing was the pasta was cooked Al dente which was nice. Overpriced for basic pasta and bad coffee. Will not be coming back. I gave two stars for decor and portion size. All the good reviews must have been written by friends and family….

Bunno are normally great and i have been eating there for years. But i would strongly recommend against ordering the Frierielli pizza, we ordered takeaway and it came drowned in so much oil that I had to mop it with kitchen towel before i could pick it up. It dripped oil when picking it up and the oil even soaked through the box and ruined my clothes. Pretty disgusting on this occasion but 3 stars as bunno are usually on the top of their game!

Had their smoked salmon pasta the order day, I was extremely disappointed. I could not believe the amount of onion in the meal and how bitter it tasted. It might as well have been called onion pasta. The only positive was the portion size, which is something you can do if you’re only selling onions. D I S S A P O I N T E D

Popped in with the other half today as it was the first time we'd seen it. Really enjoyed the food, great pasta banging coffee and lovely service. Things looking up on the food front in Romtown!! Will be having a family night out very soon, this time with a couple of bottles of red! Really well done guys, hope you stick around.

Restaurant was not full at all when we got there. They may be busier with take out orders. Some guests complained the single chairs were uncomfortable and the food choices were very limited. Food was average. Nothing to wow us. The staff were generally accommodating and fairly attentive. Overall , a mediocre experience though staff were friendly.

The best coffee and staff in Romford

You know something? Romford needs more high quality spots like The Bunno! The coffee here is far and away the best in town with a choice of three blends available. Me, I love the dark roast. Pizza slices are very good. The breakfast omlette on toast is marvellous, particularly with Chorizo sausage. If you're looking for something different in the morning away from the standard offerings this could be your place The place is very comfortably furnished with classy decor. It's well.. just a nice place to be. Update February 2022 - still as good as ever 🙂

6th time going to Bunno with my son,the breakfast are superb, very tasty smoothies coffee very good and the pizza are fantastic..Great staff very clean would highly recommend 👌..

A little corner of Central London in the heart of Romford! I picked up a flat white and pain au raisin this morning for breakfast. Top notch coffee and delicious pastry. Not a 5-star review simply because the coffee was a tad too hot but the quality and kind service more than made up for it! Keep up with the excellent work!

Second time in Bunno and I’m loving it. Nice breakfast and if you are there for lunch I recommend the pasta. Coffee is tasty and the smoothies are just so good. Nice interior and a few tables outside for when the weather allows.

Had a double Expresso with warm milk and water and fresh Pasta/spicy cheritso and cheese. Staff are very polite, professional and helpful. Food and beverages are amazing! It is so refreshing to have a restaurant in this high quality in Romford.

The food is always exquisite. I often order the penne Arabiata with a slice of Pattata (akin to a Spanish omelette). Very good taste, pasta is slightly al dente, good portion size. Coffee quality and staff service is great, although the desserts are far too sugary, significantly sweet which is a shame.

I have ordered online and the food was fantastic and I took my family into the restaurant, the food again was fantastic, my boys loved there pasta and pizza... I would highly recommend this restaurant it's clean, great traditional atmosphere and friendly staff.

I took my Nan here after her charity shop job in Romford and we was pleasantly surprised, firstly we had a huge margarita pizza, garlic bread, olives, a glass of wine and 2 cokes, it all came to just over £25! The staff where friendly and offered advice on how to maximise the deals they have. The food was delicious and the ambient feeling was excellent, will definitely will return.

I got a takeaway pizza from here and it was quite disappointing. I ordered the 4 cheese. It was really quick and the base was really good but it looked like it needed more time in the oven as the cheese was melty but only just. Also, it was basically just mozarella. There was a sprinkle of parmesan on the top but i couldn't see or taste any blue cheese or anything else. It was basically bread with melted mozarella.I would expect a solely cheese pizza to have some crispy bits of cheese and be able to taste the different types. I would try again to see if it was a one off but very disappointed.

The staff are friendly and caring, the pasta, sandwiches and pastries are phenomenal, and the coffee is the best is top-tier.I am a regular customer, and continue to be during lockdown, ordering lunch or dinner several times a week. Drunken chicken pasta w/ bucatini is my personal favourite, closely followed by the cappelli, but it's all great (and I've tried a lot of it).I'm obsessed with their yin yang cookies and lemon muffins right now too.And the coffee is honestly amazing. I but their pre-ground coffee for brewing at home and it's the best.

I am a regular customer and come every Saturday to get an almond croissant and a chai latter with coconut milk. The customer service is always great, never failed to impress. The wait for food or drinks is never too long. I have also tried their fresh pasta a couple of times when we were allowed to sit in and eat. Would defo recommend the pasta as well as their coffees. Staff are always informative and are friendly. Fantastic rules for COVID. They are very clean and cautious of how they serve customers. Never let more than one customer in the shop to order and you are only allowed in with a mask. And if you forget they will inform you of the rules. Thumbs up to this little cafe and the highlight of Romford!

I really fancied pasta bolognaise and ordered last night from BUNNO ... all I can say is OH MY GOD .... It was heaven on a plate .... Such a fresh tasty dinner and even had some left over for my lunch the next day... Thanks for such a lovely fresh dinner it was also piping hot still when it was delivered xx brilliant can't wait to try another dinner

I like this pasta place. Good portions and quality food. I personally prefer the mushroom pasta and we also tried the king prawn pasta too. All great. Quality pasta and a lovely treat. Will continue to go there when we fancy a nice bowl of pasta! Thank you Bunno! Also like that they do points cards!

Great quick pasta. Been here quite a few times. Eat in and now take out. My son loves it. He likes that you can to choose any pasta shape with the sauce. Tiramisu is also amazing. Very creamy. Great place.

Visited here during the eat out scheme and was not disappointed. Easy, quick and safe way to order food through their app right from your table. Drinks and food served quickly. Love the extra safety touches of cutlery served in a plastic bag. Their pasta is made on site and tastes divine! Best I’ve had in a really long time. Recommend the king prawns pasta! In the evening, with the candles, flowers and dimmed lights, it felt very romantic. Can’t wait to visit again.

Been here on several occasions now absolutely love it whether popping in to grab a coffee or a pasta to go. But my favourite time is coming with friends and family sitting in, reasonable prices for very tasty food good quantity and quality. Lunch catch-up over a coffee and light bites or evening dinner either way won't be disappointed. Always friendly staff, and nice to have another place in Romford that isn't just another generic chain.

Really wouldn't even give it one star.This has got to be the worst food experience I have ever had!! I ordered pesto pasta and paid £20.40. It was disgusting!! Something in the pasta tasted off and now I feel sick. I asked a colleague to try it and they said it did not taste right. I called the restaurant and was told that I could get it remade. I refused as I would never eat something from this place again after feeling sick. I know it was the food as it was my first meal of the day and I was fine before taking a bite from it. I was told I could get a refund and then I was called back and told that I couldn't because the chef says everything is prepared fresh.I am disappointed as I just wasted £20.40 on nothing. Food I cant eat and now I feel sick. If you want to waste your money then go ahead. I am reporting to the FSA.Response to the owner:As mentioned above, no one would accept an invitation to eat from an establishment of which they had a bad experience with.If you cannot understand that, then I will have to assume it’s because of ignorance.The accusation that I am exaggerating is insulting as I wouldn’t opt to order food for £20.40 only to exaggerate about how I felt. I would’ve ordered from zizzi’s instead (at least they would have dealt with this in a professional manner). 5 minutes? Please!It was 20 minutes or longer after eating that I called to tell the restaurant that I felt sick from eating the food, as I also said that I had 2 colleagues try the food and came to the same conclusion that the food tasted off. I also made a complaint via just eat webchat. All of this could not have been done in 5 minutes. So now who is exaggerating!At the end of the day, there is a strong distinction between strange tastes and and disgusting tastes. The food tasted disgusting.I wouldn't recommend.

Ordered from these guys a few days ago, read the reviews and all sounded good. To be honest I was really disappointed. The pizza was covered in a thick plastic like layer of cheddar and the pancetta was closer to diced gammon. I love Italian food but in my opinion this is kebab shop pizza with Italian names. Pairing all this with the fact my partner threw up shortly after, neither of us will be ordering from here again.
