The best restaurants serving Italian food in East Midlands

Came here mid-week for a birthday dinner. Hadn't been before so not sure what to expect, we had a lovely evening! Online booking was through a 3rd-party service so worth ringing up to check your reservation. As it was a Tuesday night it was quiet, but a nice atmosphere. The owner was friendly and welcoming. The menu had a good range of Italian food at very reasonable prices. We enjoyed the goats cheese and the bruchetta starters followed by the chicken rigatoni and prawn tortellini - all dishes were faultless and delicious. We were stuffed so couldn't manage a dessert! All washed down with a nice bottle of Pinot Grigio. We will be back!

Food ok but service was abysmally slow, spoiling the evening. Waitresses were cheerfully doing their best but were ridiculously under staffed. If there was a particular staffing problem that evening an apology and explanation would have been in order. If not - get your act together Prezzo!

We had a fantastic Sunday lunch at Murati’s in Daventry, and it far exceeded our expectations! The three of us ordered two meat mixed grills and one seafood mixed grill, and we were all blown away by the generous portions and quality of the food. Each plate was a feast — beautifully presented with juicy, perfectly grilled meats, a fresh and colourful side salad, crispy potatoes, and a rich sauce that tied it all together. The mushrooms in garlic sauce we ordered on the side were absolutely divine — buttery, fragrant, and indulgent. The seafood option was just as impressive, offering a great variety that was fresh and full of flavour. The restaurant was about half full, which made for a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. For a Sunday lunchtime, it felt lively without being too busy. The staff were brilliant — friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Portion sizes are not for the faint-hearted — despite our best efforts, none of us could finish our meals! It’s the kind of place where you get real value for money, both in quantity and quality. We all agreed that we’ll definitely be returning soon, and the lasagne is top of our list to try next — it looked absolutely incredible as it passed by our table, bubbling hot and packed with layers of rich, cheesy goodness.

Este pequeño restaurante de precio medio es un poco estrecho, pero se guarda con buena comida, aunque no es inspirador. Buen rango de menú, pero más limitado en la madrugada. Nuestra visita fue quizás contaminada por la máquina de tarjetas que no funciona y la necesidad de salir por dinero en efectivo. El personal acaba de dejar los que quedan sin ofrecer nada.

Encargado en línea para la entrega, el pedido fue cancelado, pero no nos informó hasta veinte minutos después del pedido. Si no eran capaces de cumplir con los pedidos, nunca deberían haber tomado el pedido en primer lugar, ¡muy molesto!

I took my family for a meal at the Rushton Pizza express. The service was very slow and the first order of drinks the water which one of my sons asked for was forgotten. later on in the meal we ordered another set of drinks and the Sprite for one of my granddaughters was also forgotten. The service was very slow and when the mains came out two of the pizzas were not there and we had to wait another five minutes.

Very friendly staff. Lovely sandwich. Will come back!

Staff were superstars, so friendly, easy to talk to.. place was busy but nothing was too much trouble, food was GORGEOUS and fresh! Best carbonara ever! Didn’t have to wait long at all, Have never been to Prezzo and will be coming back after this visit!

Came here for lunch with my mum. Had the lunch time set menu which was great. But what really made the experience was the service from Gosia. Amazing from start to finish, nothing felt like too much trouble. She was truly incredible.

Have been to the Italian connection many times before & the food has always been wonderful. This time was also great, I had the fillet steak (cooked rare) with peppercorn sauce & my friend has the pollo crema , they were delicious. My steak was cooked perfectly & the the sauce was delicious. My friend also really enjoyed her Pollo Crema. They came with a good portion of salad and chips. Definitely recommend!

Siendo un par de OAP's tenemos que tener cuidado en cuanto a dónde vamos para un 'regalo' y cuándo. Fuimos por última vez a esta cabaña en julio y era agradable, así como el excelente personal. Teníamos nuestros favoritos de la gama PAN entonces, así que pedimos la misma pizza de nuevo. Teniendo en cuenta que había mirado las fotos de la comida en el sitio web antes de reservar para el 22 de octubre y estábamos esperando ver la comida de calidad que tuvimos la última vez! ¡QUÉ DECEPCIÓN! ¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡ El entrante de PAN DE AJO solo se hizo por un lado, no estaba muy caliente, parecía pálido por el otro lado, era suave y era absolutamente INSÍPIDO. ¡Luego llegó la MAINS! ¡Mi pollo Supreme Pan ciertamente no lo era! Esperaba que me presentaran una corteza marrón y crujiente con una buena porción de ingredientes como la que tuve en julio pasado. Solo había el medio de la pizza con cualquier cobertura y tuve que mirar para ver qué era qué. Una vez comidos el medio y los ingredientes, solo quedaba corteza pálida y suave. Mis socios batean pizza Fajita era de la misma construcción y nos fuimos sintiéndonos 45 libras más pobres y muy muy decepcionados. Creo que tal vez eran vacaciones escolares de medio término y el excelente personal estaba bajo presión, pero NO voy a ir a PIZZA HUT de nuevo en vacaciones escolares por esa razón. También he pasado estos comentarios a Servicio al Cliente de Pizza Hut.

Delicious pizza's! I've tried the peri peri and the BBQ pizzas and they're delicious as well as their gooey cookies and loaded fries! Yum!

Came here some weeks ago, had bacon, sausage and mushroom breakfast bap, amazing 👍👍. Came back today 15th May the kitchen has been upgraded and a different menu. No breakfast baps!!! So I ordered bacon rustic rolls instead .Awful absolutely awful, the bap was toasted so hard it cracked, the bacon was over cooked, the whole thing was disgusting. We will never eat here again.
