The best restaurants serving Italian food in East Midlands

I ordered some pizzas, very salty! I requested a delivery due to my work, given that it is not the first time that I order from other restaurants and they have always found me, I had an unpleasant discussion with the delivery man, very rude, he didn't wanted give me my pizzas because the indications that I had given in his opinion were not good, wasting my time! the salt on the pizza can be adjusted but the delivery man can change it! or it will make you lose more customers

Booked a table to eat on Friday only to arrive on time to be told they only accepted card payments , wow and no mention of this fact on the booking or confirmation e-mail, we will not bother wasting our time again as there are so many other more deserving resterants to choose from in the area that actually take real money

Last minute decision to eat out tonight. We got a very warm welcome on arrival and service came at a pleasant relaxed pace. We shared scallops for a starter - they were cooked to perfection. I had the Calzone which was superb, best I’ve ever had . My wife had pasta with prawns and loved it. Staff couldn’t do enough for us . We’ll make this a regular treat in future 😎

Our final night of holiday we chose to save this to last as it was an "all you can eat" buffet. Apart from nothing was edible!!! From pizza with zero toppings, to margarita like cardboard, pepperoni with ONE piece per slice. The 4 varieties of pasta were all as bland as each other! My pasta mad son didn't even eat 1 plate full!!! He salad was old and dry. The coleslaw had a disgusting vinegarete on. And the potato salad was far from diserable!! It's really ruined our final evening! A family of 5 cost just short of £70! (Not including drinks) And we all left starving!!!!! Go to the fire House instead!!!!!!! Butlins should be ashamed to keep them on sight!!! I will add the staff (waitresses) were very polite, but did avoid tables that they could see had NOT enjoyed the "meal". Avoid at all costs!!!!!

So very disappointing ... alot of the fries where burnt and the chicken kebab wasn't nice at all. The chicken was tasteless and the pitta bread was soggy

Absolutely shocking service. Waitress put through starter wrong, then supervisor made out like it was my fault because the menu had changed and I hadn’t specified the size of the garlic bread we wanted- umm maybe the waitress should have asked. Mains came out, one carbonara was very chewy chicken, spat out most of the 6 mouthfuls eaten. On asking supervisor to take it off the bill, she stated it could be replaced without the chicken or would take half off the meal as she had already eaten it. On speaking to another supervisor she stated no manager on site, although I knew the manager was I know who the manager is. She was stood at the food deck speaking to her. On the supervisors return to me after speaking to the said manager she told me she could take my details and the manager would investigate it when in, all whilst I was watching her. I asked how exactly they would investigate the meal when it had already been taken away and put in a bin, TOMORROW!! Bill comes out and both garlic breads on the bill and two lots of cheese charged. Small discount taken off not totalling the full garlic breads. I again asked for them to sort the bill for the messed up garlic breads as wrong. They still refused to take off the carbonara as 6 mouthfuls had been eaten! On speaking to the first supervisor, I told her the service was rubbish, you shouldn’t pay for something when it’s horrid and she rolled her eyes at me. I also told her I knew the manager was there and I don’t like being lied too! The second supervisor had told me both of them were supervisors but then dated she couldn’t go against what the other one had said as she was higher than her position. Also a lie! both of them were tripping over each others lies. I will never ever go back to Frankie & Bennys which is a shame as we love it there and got here often! One supervisor very rude lady with red/black hair. Other supervisor very small lady- don’t lie to someone’s face when they can see wit their own eyes and know exactly that your lying to them! absolutely crap service and a complete waste of £61.00.

After recently moving to Nottingham, this pizza place was recommended to me by a friend. After managing an independent store for 10 years, making fresh dough ever day knowing what I produce is some of the best dough about. The pizza I had from this place last night was absolutely out of this world. The dough really was sublime, the pizza itself was delicious and full of flavour. I have to say that was one of the best pizzas I've had the pleasure to eat in many many years if not the best. (Still yet to try a pizza from Italy) I will say. But honestly it was out of this world. Definitely found my new local. Well done to all involved.

i visited pizza express west bridgford on saturday night, and waited over 40 minutes to receive 2 portions of dough balls, the service staff were lovely and very apologetic and attentive to us, however while our server was checking on our order for us we overheard a female manager with brunette in a black t-shirt raising her voice telling her to leave extremely abruptly and loudly near the kitchen, very close to the table where we were sat. It was honestly quite difficult and uncomfortable to watch and hear. Our server seemed very upset and it caught the attention of tables nearby too. The management here clearly have no clue what they are doing and are very under appreciative and dismissive of their staff. I never usually leave reviews but i am gobsmacked at what me and my family were forced to witness. We have visited pizza express many times over the years and have never experienced any issues with service, however myself and family will think twice if ever visiting this branch again and supporting this business as the lack of ethics and respect to waiters is evidentially shown through management.

Customer service was 10/10 ensure they get the order right they got it ready in 10 mins ordered 2 burger meals king prawn and wings and chip filled a family of 5 the food tasted so good and portions of food were perfect the atmosphere of the shop was amazing and the layout of the takeaway was well organised highly recommend for a quick munch will be ordering again ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Given them one star because zero stars wasn't an option .first and only time we'll go here 2hrs 25min for delivery would of been quicker sent second class postage food was cold order was wrong offed us free food on next order well there quids in because won't be going again very unprofessional yelling at the staff while on the phone case of the clowns running the circus worst take away experience we've had we generally don't leave reviews but this place was so bad it was warranted
