Came here for lunch with my mum. Had the lunch time set menu which was great. But what really made the experience was the service from Gosia. Amazing from start to finish, nothing felt like too much trouble. She was truly incredible.

We ate here mid-afternoon today. The service was a bit slow but we could see the staff were all working very hard and when the food came it was so delicious and plentiful that it more than made up for the wait. We felt no need to complain but the manager gave us a discount anyway and apologised for the slow service. A business is judged on how well it reacts when things don’t go to plan and the staff at this restaurant did the company proud today. We will definitely be back.

We had given up on the Zizzi chain after a bad experience here in April 2019, and also finding that the menu choices had become very basic and uninspiring. Completely revolutionised now: the menu was varied and sensible (and grown-up). Reception was now pleasant. Covid stuff was proportionate, and the tables have been spaced appropriately. We enjoyed the meal and everything about it. Wifi was good with no need to read 5,000 words of Ts&Cs.

Very organised entry and excellent attentive service. I had Calzone Pollo Spinaci which was a tad disappointing. Four small pieces of chicken were contained within and the calzone was quite thick meaning the whole thing was mostly dough. Pan-Seared Salmon Salad was very nice. Perfectly seasoned. Good atmosphere in the restaurant. Full menu so plenty to choose from. They add the 10% service to the bill. You can request it off but I would prefer it not to be there in the first place and I decide on the tip. Good selection of drinks. Reasonable price. Mid range but certainly not cheap.

Food tasty but expensive for small portion sizes. Partner ordered a dish that ended up being a pizza, no where on it said it was a pizza so he was dissapointed. We were charged a 10% tip which we were not given the option to decline, the service was standard and did not warrant such a high tip. Staff should really ask customers if they want to pay, it's disgusting.

I visited Zizzi’s to meet some friends following lockdown. Having visited a few restaurants during August, I was really surprised to find this one as full as pre Covid, with little space between tables and no screens. Other than hand gel on arrival it was very much business as usual. The food was ok as was the service but the waitress didn’t wear a mask and didn’t distance at all. There wasn’t a spare table in the restaurant. It was good value for money though and we both had three courses for £17.95 each. Everything was hot and served quickly. The cherry ice cream was delicious but the dessert menu was limited to tiramisu or ice cream unfortunately.Overall an ok meal but I couldn’t wait to get out and away from everyone who was so uncomfortably close.

We’ve visited Zizzi’s only twice before and both times in separate locations in London. This was the first time in Rushden & the county. I’m personally not a great fan of most restaurant chains, most of the time the food is bland and over inflated prices.Unfortunately this Zizzi’s in Rushden was somewhat a disappointment too. We skipped the starters - the prices looked ridiculously overpriced so settled for mains only. So between the 4 of us we had the crab cannelloni, strozzapretti pesto rosso, lasagne & the spaghetti carbonara. Not one dish out of the 4 after discussion between us was of good standard. All incredibly average. The lasagne was something you’d see served in a pub. Really poor stuff in truth. The drinks from soft, sparkling water & peroni was very pricey. We did decide to have dessert which was probably better than the mains but again price wise not worth it. The bill for which was basically 2 courses each with drinks was over £120!! Definitely not worth even half the price. We won’t be visiting again in a hurry.

Have had good experiences at other Zizzi restaurants such as Milton Keynes however I was really disappointed with this occasion. After waiting 35-40 minutes for our starter to arrive, they brought it out to us wrong so had to wait all over again. Our mains then took even longer to arrive and when we asked we were told that ‘they had lost our ticket’. The staff were apologetic and did try to make amends to be fair, by slashing the bill and bringing out free drinks- but we left feeling frustrated and with no time to do the shopping that we had planned. The food itself was nice but not worth the wait. Will go to Pizza Express next time.

Don't waste your time here, go to the one in Market Harborough if you want a good Zizzi's, the staff couldn't care less there's no attention to customers, they're too busy chatting to each other, they missed my sons meal completely didn't apologise just said they'd been a mess up with the kitchen (not helpful when your child's hungry!), they didn't ask if we wanted any seasoning on our food or come round with the parmesan cheese (that they do at every other Zizzi's I've ever been to)! They brought the starters out at the same time as the mains leaving us with either cold starters or cold mains, they charged me for a child's 3 course meal but I didn't get a dessert for my child! Absolute joke, I read the bad reviews and thought I'd give it a chance I really wish i hadn't bothered, there's so many other restaurants at the lakes you'd think they would want to try and compete for customers but they don't care there's no passion I'd choose any other restaurant but here!

Popped in here on a Friday night around six o clock and the place was probably half full. There was four of us dining to celebrate my daughter finishing an exam. We chose one of the sharing boards and some garlic bread for starters which were both very good. For mains I had the pizza margherita which was a good size but I found it a little bland. The others had the chicken risotto. Pasta with meatballs, and the beef and venison tagliatelle. All agreed they were very tasty but a little on the small side.  Still being hungry we shared a pudding between two both going for the salted caramel brownie. At £6.99 and reading  the description on the menu believed it to be adequate for two to share. On arrival at the table it was a major let down, although it tasted OK it was TINY.Along with a large wine small wine 2 cokes and a sparkling water the bill was £107 which I found expensive for the food we ate. Will probably stick to local Italian restaurants in future who give you better value for money and know how to make a tasty pizza.Wasn't very impressed by the state of the toilets. Think I followed an elephant in there the smell was disgusting and the mess they left even worse.

I was seated at a table and asked what I wanted to drink before I'd even sat down. asked for a couple of minutes so that I could have a look at the drinks menu as I'd never been in Zizzi before. It was 15 minutes before anyone came back to take my order.I ordered my food at the same time as my drink. It was another 10 minutes before my drink arrived and my starter arrived soon after. I'd ordered "crispy calamari". There was nothing crispy about the calamari. It was soggy and the batter that was on it was so soggy that it just fell off.It was over half an hour before my main of Riostto Funghi came out. At no point did an of the staff come over to see if everything was okay or to let me know there was a delay. Eventually my food arrived and the waitress apologised for the delay. It wouldv'e just been nice for someone to mention the delay during that half an hour. The risotto was lovely. It had far too much pepper in it but other than that it was nice. When I asked for the bill it was another 10 minute wait and then a 20 minute wait for someone to come and take the payment.I probably wouldn't go back purely because of the poor service. Make sure you order 2 drinks when you arrive or drink very slowly because you won't get a member of staff's attention to order another one!

Visited with my husband and son on Saturday evening. We booked a table for 7.15pm, on arrival there was quite a queue in the porch area, we went into the restaurant and were shown to our table which unfortunately was right next to the door, this resulted in thoughtless people standing right in front of our table. On women stood do close that if my husband had been eating her handbag would have been in his food!!! The restaurant feels very hemmed in and the chairs are very uncomfortable. Not a great start. We noticed a table near us had become free so we asked to be moved, we also pointed out that we had been seated for over 10 minutes and no one had approached us to offer water or drinks. We eventually got moved, unfortunately the chairs were the same! My husband wanted to order the pork belly which we were informed by our waitress was not available, it would have been nice to have been told the when we were first given the menus. My food was nice, but both my husband and son were disappointed with the quality of their meals. My husband ordered the lemon meringue sundae which was the smallest sundae we have ever seen, we had to laugh! The bill came to £98 which was very expensive for the quality and service we experienced. AVOID there are much better places to spend your money!

We waited for 20 minutes then the waitress arrived with our mains I pointed out that we had not had our starters and she stood not saying much then asked do you still want your starters. We replied yes otherwise we wouldn’t of ordered them in the first place, she took our mains back. Eventually she returned with just one starter when we asked where the second one was she looked confused and replied I thought it was just one. Whilst one of us ate our starter after 10 minutes the second arrived. If they can’t get an order correct for 2 people on a Wednesday lunchtime who knows what it is like on a busy evening.

Table booked for pre cinema meal. Arrived on time and directed to table without delay. Drinks were ordered and when they arrived the meal order was placed. So far so good. My wife and I each ordered crispy calamari as a starter followed by buffalo and pork meat balls for my wife and a chorizo carbonara for myself. The calamari wasn’t at all crispy however and as a result it was like eating rubber bands. When raised with the server the response was ‘I’ll tell the kitchen.” If the server had taken the trouble to check back with us in a timely manner however after initial serving it could have been returned. The mains arrived prior to the the table being cleared of the starters and a precarious juggling act took place to manage the operation. We then had to wait to attract a member of the waiting staff to obtain cutlery. The mains were presented well save for the fact that neither was hot and could be best described as Luke warm. The carbonara could be better described as oily as opposed to creamy. The waiting staff were somewhat disorganised and confusion existed concerning table numbers, to the extent a drink order was delivered to an adjacent table. We have previously visited Zizzi in London where the experience was far and above that experienced here. I would suggest that for Rushden this is both an issue for training and perhaps resources to ensure sufficient staffing to cater for the covers booked. This restaurant will not feature close to the top of our dinner venues.

Visited on a Thursday evening for our wedding anniversary. My wife has eaten in a Zizzi in London and recommended it. Restaurant was quite busy but we were seated within a couple of minutes and served in a timely manner. Starters were ok but they forgot part of it and we had to ask for the garlic butter. Mains were "ok" but my brisket and venison tagliatelle didn't have much meat in (although was quite tasty) and the pasta was stuck together, seven layers thick in places. My wife was also a bit disappointed by her chicken dish. She had the spicy chicken pasta and only had four very small pieces of chicken in it. It was also advertised as having spinach in which wasn't there. The couple at the table next to us had their order messed up and only one of them got their food which didn't add to the atmosphere ...... Staff were nice though and while it wasn't a bad experience, we left feeling a little deflated, ripped off and disappointed - certainly not conducive to wanting to return again.

Went for lunch with my family. I would only describe this as unremarkable at best. The service was excellent and Rasa was very good and attentive as our waitress. The food however was a different story. It was at best a poor example of packet food reheated. I suspect this is like many other restaurants today and rely upon a supplier of food in packets from a central supplier relying upon a " chef" to reheat and serve. The salads have even been downgraded to a plate of lettuce with some dressing ! I suspect the problem here is that they now subscribe to the Tesco voucher scheme which means they now have to downgrade the quantity and more importantly the quality in order to balance the books for the Tesco discount. They have supported my opinion that I would no longer visit any restaurant which takes part in the Tesco voucher scheme as you will have to pay for your vouchers in the quality and quantity of food provided. If you visit without Tesco vouchers the chances are you will be totally ripped off!I look forward to reading a response from the restaurant manager if they have the confidence to respond. The seating was appalling. The chairs were uncomfortable and the seats on the outer wall replied upon the cushions being velcroed to the wall. We were a party of five and when the double tables are pushed together it meant that the seats against the wall kept slipping off the seats as the cushions were falling away from the wall. Again all style no substances, the seating design looks good but does not work in practice

I came in here looking for some Italian food. I ordered the chicken and salami calzone, although I am a vegetarian, I asked for NO MEAT. Not only did it come with salami on top, I thought id let that slide as I could just scrape it off, but they did also get it right as I could not see any chicken inside. Halfway through my meal the horrors continued, I found a large slice of salami INSIDE the calzone in which I had taken a small bite out of. I then proceeded to view the menu online which implicated that the salami is on top of the calzone, nowhere does it say (not in writing anyway) that it would be inside the calzone. Not only this, but I was with a guest who ordered the risotto. A risotto to shame all other risottos as it was dry and not fully cooked.

We came mid week for a family birthday meal, everything was going so well, drinks, starters... then where was the main course, everyone else who came in after us had recieved all their courses except us. We waited over an hour for this, we could see staff asking the kitchen for our order, looks like something must have gone wrong somewhere. All 5 meals 4 spaghetti bolognese and another a spaghetti veggie dish, arrived on our table not looking very appealing due to hardly any meat and swimming in water and tagliatelle was used instead of spaghetti. So disappointed none of us could eat these meals as they were so of putting. The manager was informed, we were given the option to choose something else, but what was the point as it was getting late and we didnt fancy waiting or being here nearly another 2hrs, the 5 meals were taken of the bill. The manager wasnt very helpful and the fact he said this is the recipe didnt help, as I've visited many zizzi's around the country and know for a fact this wasnt the same dish and as a by note their is a difference between spaghetti & tagliatelle, I'd have thought a manager would know that lol. We did tip the waitress as it wasn't her fault. I had to apologise to my younger son for a ruined birthday meal. Doubt I'll be returning to this Zizzi's, even though I'd been to this one before and everything was great including the spaghetti bolognese. :)

They didn’t have what I ordered, but she was straight back giving recommendations as alternatives. Will 100% go back. The food was so nice. (I had pollo chicken and my partner had sea bass)

We came in for my mother’s birthday meal and have always had good experiences with other Zizzi restaurants. However, from the minute we arrived our experience yesterday was awful! To start with we were sat at the back of the restaurant with no one waiting on the table. We ordered our drinks and waited a while for those to arrive. We ordered our food after that only to find no king prawns left and no one able to tell me if the Gorgonzola was pasteurised as they’d borrowed it from another restaurant! once the starters arrived we were astounded to find the soups were stone cold. After sending mine back to be heated, I sat and watched a member of the kitchen staff pour it from my bowl into a plastic container that had clearly been used before, this was then microwaved and poured back into my stone cold bowl with the plastic container being returned to next to the microwave, presumably to be used again without being washed! I was also disgusted to see that no member of the kitchen staff was wearing gloves...so hands were used in every ingredient! What about cross contamination and allergies?! They would then wipe their hands across their uniform! No beard nets were being worn either despite members of the team having long beards! Absolutely shocking standards! Especially as I’m allergic to mushrooms! Added with the cold pesto that was squirted onto hot meals it truly was awful to watch! But that was merely the start of our shocking experience! After approx 40 minutes since our starters were cleared, one of the children’s pizzas arrived... but then nothing else! My other nephew sat there without any food. We alerted your staff who spoke with the kitchen team and after about 15 mins they produced the other child’s meal. However we then sat there with nothing to eat. It was now an hour after our starters. The kitchen team were spoken to again and produced a lasagne but that was it! No other meals from the 6 adult ones we were waiting for. We said we didn’t want it without the other meals. A few minutes later some other meals arrived...all burnt and dry! The sweet potato fries were dried up and barely even half a bowl full. The lasagne, crab cannoli and other pasta dishes were burnt and stuck to the dishes, no sauce left in them! The pizza was hard and snappable with no goats cheese on it like it was meant to have. My pulled pork Roma didn’t have any crackling and so I was given a plate of cold crackling to put on. The pulled pork was also cold and the pizza bland. Then to top it all off, my brother's pizza hadn’t even been put through! So then we all sat and picked through what we could whilst he sat with nothing. Members of staff got their food pretty much instantly and sat in a corner together eating during this time! The bar staff couldn’t even understand when I ordered a lime and tap water! My mother’s birthday celebration was completely ruined!

Visited on Sunday 30/6 with my son, we were sat down quickly, the restaurant was quiet with all the other guests with drinks or food. We were sat down & handed menu. We looked at the menu chose our order & closed the menus ready to place. The 12 tables that came in after us were all served before us, when I asked the server if they could take our order, I was told. We will get to you when we can. I mentioned that we had been arrived prior to all of those tables, to be told well you are just two people. our kitchen need time to prepare large table orders. They were tables of 2 - 6 adults, none with children,I walked out with my son after waiting 20 minutes to have our drink order taken. I will not recommend this resturant to any of my friends with children.

Second visit and customer service was as good as the first time we went during its opening week. We were allowed to swap our table so the children could sit near the kitchen. Food was delicious and fresh - we all ate every bit and of good portion size. They were willing to be flexible with the menu - especially for the children whose food was of equal quality to the adults menu and really good value for £6:95. - and everything arrived quickly and together despite the restaurant being full. With an open kitchen you can watch them cooking your dinner and Callum entertained the kids whilst making and cooking the pizzas. Our waitress even managed to accurately remember our order without writing any of it down and whilst holding a conversation the table! A little bit more expensive than its rivals but in our opinion surpasses them in terms of food quality and customer service. Happy kids = happy parents. Our new favourite family restaurant.

We were really looking forward to our birthday meal at Zizzis this evening. The food was different to the other Zizzis and the service wasn’t quite as good as you’d expect. One of my pet peeves is when you ask a waiter how long something is going to be and they go to ask and then walk by without giving you an update. Basically they had forgotten to put the kids pizza in we had ordered so it took a very long time to arrive. The kids menu is good value and the choccochino is a nice touch at the end. We had to ask though as they weren’t offered. A word of warning for those of you with children, they don’t have any ketchup! This has the capability to get 4 stars but for now only a 3 I’m afraid.

We went to Rushden Lakes Zizzi on Bank Holiday Monday.....My initial impressions were very great - a smart well presented restaurant and the female manager that was just finishing her shift was great. We ordered our drinks, starters and a side dish.No Drinks.... The starters came and no sides .... The drinks then followed .. still no side - We were advised the kitchen may send with mains when we order but they could come soon. Whilst waiting ..... There were a lot of flies where we sat . Our table and another table asked if there was an issue with flies at this restaurant. The other couple said they had been to many restaurants on the complex and not had fliesMy wife had been next door to Nando’s and no flies there. We asked to be moved and we were shortly moved to the back of the restaurant. Going back to the meal, the mains arrived, still no side .... We spoke about them and Chris the manager said “maybe they got lost ? “..... , he will go and check .... he never came back to us but they then turned up, I guess he arranged for them to be brought to us. The food was ok..... My wife had ordered a pizza with red chilli but they put roquito on, which were sweet. I ordered pomodoro pasta .... it was very dry .....The other couple left and said they had to return their meal... hope ours is better.....It was ok. I observed how Chris the manager had dealt with them and in my personal opinion, I was not impressed with the way he handled them. It looked like he was not bothered. Based on this I did not think it was worth saying anything. Our food was ok and we did receive everything. However I think a nice gesture would have been to at least knock of the charge for the sides .....but hey ho .... we did get them and they were nice....Overall I was not at all impressed with the service or the mannerism of Chris the manager...... I think the saviour to our evening was when we chatted to Shannon who was very friendly and welcoming ..... she apologised for the flies although that is out of her control.... Even when we mentioned about the issue of the sides she was apologetic and professional by not blaming anyone but said there could have been teething problems..... I was very impressed by Shannon who talked to us at the end .... her professionalism and customer service was excellent - perhaps Shanon should be the manager with her excellent people skills.

My friend and I went to zizzi a few days ago at around 8 pm. At first we were warmly accepted and put into the desired seats of ours. We ordered two different drinks that we didn’t really like. The first was drinkable however the second one was disgusting, seemed as though it was topped up with water rather than soda, tonic or lemonade. Not even 15 seconds past after I required this drink I went to the bar and asked bartender to swap (since all cocktails are the same price) he was VERY nice and said that it was more that fine to do so. I asked if he had any recommendations he responded saying that he doesn’t drink but the manager can recommend something. The manager never came to my table and while my friend was having her drink I was sitting there with nothing. So we finally asked a waitress for the bill, she gave it back to me with the drink that I returned in the bill. So asked her whether I can return this drink, she told me that’s more than fine. After around 2/3 minutes the “manager” came over with the card machine. He expected us to pay without our bill. So I asked him to print the bill firstly, as it turned out the extra drink was never removed. We then calmest explained that I have my drink back to the bartender who said it was fine to swap or remove it from the bill. (IT WAS NEVER SWAPPED OR REMOVED FROM OUR BILL). For the next 15 minutes the manager was arguing with us about how “that’s what you ordered and you need to pay”, although I have it back! After him arguing he finally said “ I will remove it but you aren’t welcome back to the restaurant again”. We were shocked. The amount of times we go to ZIZI’s this was by far the WORST experience ever. The managers name was Chris.

We have been here twice since it opened. We had better service on the opening night, the most recent visit left us feeling there is definitely room for improvement here. The food is delicious and the staff seem to try, but they don't fully understand the concept of good customer service just yet. The first time, we were brought a large glass of wine (and charged for) when we ordered a small. The second visit, the first waiter we had was good, but when it switched over the waitress, things went downhill. She seemed "busy" but a lot of her colleagues were just sitting around by the bar, presumably finished their shift. Not a lot of proactive help. We mentioned the bad tasting and stringy / inedible brocolli served with our meal, but nothing was done about it. Overall I think there are definitely ways they can improve and encourage repeat customers.

Can’t believe all the positive reviews of this place. We had booked a table, but still had to stand waiting near the door for 10 minutes. It was extremely busy and noisy and staff clearly couldn’t cope. After we were eventually seated, we waited 20 minutes for someone to take our drink order. As we ordered our food, it was very difficult for the waiter to comprehend what we were ordering; whether that was due to the noise level or his understanding I’m not sure. The atmosphere in the restaurant was extremely noisy and not a relaxing place to eat. When our food arrived, I received the wrong dish, but couldn’t be bothered to try and explain that to our waiter. I ordered chorizo carbonara, but received normal carbonara, which was extremely “eggy” and the worst carbonara I have ever had. There was no offer of parmesan cheese, and no one asked if our meals were ok.Out of deference to the rest of my party, I did not complain. We heard several people around us complaining and one couple walked out after waiting for their order to be taken.Would not return when there are plenty of other eating places nearby.

We had a booked a table at the Rushden Lakes branch for 7:45pm, as we arrived, we waited to be seated and were told that there was no products that included dough as they had been so busy. The manageress laughed it off as if it wasn’t a big deal. They then scatted around to clean a table for us to sit at, even though we had already booked a table. It wasn’t then until 8:10pm before a waiter came to take our drinks order. We then had to ask three times before our drinks finally arrived. We then ordered our food, we were slightly confused as many tables around us had pizzas being served. We went to order the Fonduta Formaggio and were told we could not have this as it contained bread and they had no dough left. My friend was vegetarian so she asked for some more time to decide. The waiter then returned and took our order at 8:20pm. We order Calamari and Arancini as our starters and Risotto Pollo Funghi and Spaghetti Pomodoro for mains Tables were leaving around us and were not being cleaned, there were bottles, glasses, dirty plates and even the tip that had been left. The two tables next to us were not cleaned until after we’d left the restaurant, which was around 9:50pm. We waited for our starters to arrive for a good 45 minutes, we had to ask if the waiter knew when it would arrive, as at this point we had been in the restaurant an hour and fifteen minutes and we had no food. While we were waiting, a waiter brought a drink to our table and looked gormless when we said it wasn’t for us, he then laughed and said ‘uh oh, god knows who this is for then’. At 9:05pm, our starters finally arrived. We felt that these were average, the calamari was very undercooked and the arancini was lukewarm. Our mains arrived shortly after. Again, the risotto was lukewarm and the presentation of the pomodoro was not acceptable. Waiters were just wondering aimlessly around the restaurant and not checking on customers, the manager was just useless and lots of tables around us were also waiting a long time for food. They kindly deducted our starters after such terrible service, but nothing else was offered for such an awful experience. It wasn’t our first trip to a Zizzi restaurant but we certainly won’t be visiting this branch again, which is a real shame as it is in such a great location and in close proximity to us.

We came here on the off chance, after a visit to the 360 indoor play. Having never been to a Zizzi before and being coeliac, it was a massive gamble trying somewhere new but I was more than pleasantly surprised. It was only their second day since opening and although it seemed like they were still getting deliveries of glassware etc we had our reservations about the level of service we would receive but every member of staff, that served us, was polite and friendly and couldn,t do enough for us. Being coeliac,it can be very difficult to eat out and some places or their 'trained' staff seem to be clueless about the dietary needs of a coeliac but the staff here we amazing and the gluten free pizza was amazing. I have had gluten free pizzas in other chains that have been just okay but this was very flavourful and the base was the nicest pizza base I have had yet. My 2 year old daughter had the kids set menu which was presented well and generously sized. She loved her olives, so much so, she nicked half of mine. The dessert she had looked fabulous. 2 scoops of ice cream 2 mini cones and some popping candy with a chococino, she loved it!! I'm usually very wary about trying somewhere new but this was definitely worth it. Looking forward to visiting again this sunday.

My partner and I ordered seabass and a calzone and thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The manager became sidetracked after taking our drink order (understandable) and when I mentioned the order to our waitress this was addressed straight away. I visited Zizzi at Rushden Lakes for an evening meal with a group of friends. We were given a round table which was great as it meant we could all chat together. We were asked for our drinks orders as soon as we sat down, no chance to look at the menu. Waiter was asked to come back while we had a chance to settle and look at the menus. We eventually ordered both drinks and food. The drinks came quickly but it was nearly three quarters of an hour before the starters came out! Mains followed fairly quickly. The starter of garlic prawns was missing the garlic in the sauce so fairly bland. The pasta meals ordered were all hot and tasty but a chicken dish was cold, however the recipient only moaned after eating it and said she didn’t want to make a fuss!We ordered puddings, three orders of a delicious sounding salted Carmel Sundae......unfortunately they’d run out of ice cream......really! Other choices were made which were acceptable. I chose a lemon sundae which was a mistake! The pudding should have been called Lemon Eton Mess - it looked as if it had been thrown at the dish apparently there were scoops of different types of ice cream/sorbet in it....you have to believe them. It was a mess!! ( Should have gone next door to Pudding Heaven for dessert!)The restaurant is very attractively decorated but due to the open ceilings gets very noisy! The whole meal was acceptable at best. With the increasing number of restaurants that are and will be available at Rushden Lakes, Zizzi needs to up its game and improve on the presentation of all meals and make sure they have enough stock! At present it does not measure up in quality, service and presentation to other Zizzi restaurants I have visited.

You go to a place like Zizzi for a fun meal. If you just want some food, you get a sandwich and a bottle of juice and eat in the car. It's all about the "experience".Arrived at Zizzi. Rather noisy inside (jagged piped music) so could we sit outside? Them: Yes, but you can't open a tab out there, you will have to pay for everything as you go. Us: What, pay for the starter, eat it, and then pay for the main course, etc etc. Them: Yes. Some people eat and then leg it without paying. So we harumphed, but decided to go with the flow. So ages later someone came and said Didn't we know, you have to go inside to order? No, we didn't know.Well, we thought that was getting a bit ridiculous, so we went inside and got a table. From there it was ok, although the music was intrusive.£65 for two, three courses, basic bottle of wine, coffee. There were quite a lot of attention-to-detail issues as well, but it's only the third week, and I assume these will get sorted out in time.
