Very nice restaurant, great staff and lovely pizza.

Lovely meal with starters & main course, food was great & our waitress was very friendly, helpful & efficient whilst being very busy.

Fabulous tasty and hot straight from the oven pizzas. Very nice choices. Really enjoyed our little celebration meal, End of "Moving In" day to our new home.

We didn’t manage to catch her name but our server had green starry nails and lots of rings and she was absolutely lovely. my boyfriend and I went and it was such a nice experience. She went above and beyond for us, even going back and forth to completely change a pizza for him so it didn’t include anything that he was intolerant to.

My wife and I are regular lunchtime visitors to the Rushden Lakes Pizza Express restaurant. From our experience, the food is always good and the service excellent. The people who work there are always friendly and welcoming. We are often served by Bernie, who is always friendly, helpful and a real credit to the Pizza Express team. Thank you!

Really like it here the servers are friendly and helpful and the food is normally good, they did forget to put a couple of ingredients on our pizza once but that hasnt happened since so all good.

Great table service and meal enjoyed by all

Food didn't arrive at table all together, some of the order didn't arrive until 5 out of 6 of us had finished. First 2 pizza's were cold on arrival at table, fries didn't arrive at all nor the dough balls!!! Really disappointing as went for my neices birthday and it was her pizza that didn't come out until we had all finished.

Went here after work got the padana with pepperoni on a classic base and my partner got BBQ burnt ends on a classic base. Both pizzas were delicious. We also got the pesto pasta - which was nice and 2 portions of dough balls with the pesto dip DELICIOUS !! 2nd visit of the week due to these balls :-)

We frequently visit Pizza Express, and while the initial staff was welcoming when they opened, recent experiences indicate a decline in warmth and hospitality. Nevertheless, the food consistently remains enjoyable.

Haven't visited a pizza express for years, and my latest visit reminded me why not. This place has just never been for me. There's just no quality or memorable experience here. Took my wife and son on New years Day. Ordered an American classic and a margarita with an upgraded base plus the 3 course pizza for our son. The pizza base's were the same thickness so was pointless upgrading. I've never seen such little cheese on a pizza, it was incredibly poor value for money considering the individual price. Taste was nothing spectacular, a frozen Chicago town from a supermarket for £4 tastes so much better. We ordered a side of chips which didn't even taste like chips, they were soft and soggy so we left them. The kids 3 course was just shameful really, a popular name such as pizza express should be aiming higher when choosing what to offer children. Plain Dough balls with a side of butter to start? A tiny dried up pizza main and then Dough balls AGAIN for dessert but this time with white chocolate side? I can't think of anything worst. It was just horrendous. Absolutely no imagination, quality or time goes into this food. To drink we ordered 2 cokes and a children's apple juice. The coke comes in bottles, tastes flat and is warm. No fresh cold fizzy coke on tap? I mean really? The kids apple juice was a tiny little tub that lasted all of 3 minutes. Atmosphere is rather dull here, you look up and see chef's cooking who seemed to have less enthusiasm than me trying to eat my way through the pizza. Yawning, stairing into space. There was zero spark, zero energy, zero happiness and zero taste and all for a wallet bursting price of £60! Extremely bad value for money. Sorry pizza express I won't be coming back for many more years.

The one I wS served was cheap frozen dough prepared and baked with minimal skill. I won't be back I will spread word of my disappointment and dissatisfaction. I will be frequenting QUALITY pizza restaurants in future where customer satisfaction is held in high regard.

Poppy was our server - and what a delight she was. Friendly, polite and attentive! She was a wee ray of sunshine on what was a freezing, dull, damp day.

Way to expensive for what you get. Fortunately tesco vouchers make it manageable.

I go here every few weeks and whenever I go to Rushden lakes I peak thru the window and Poppy always waves back and gives amazing service, have been going there for about 2 years and she is always happy to help and super friendly and makes the atmosphere a better place to eat:) Would recommend to friends and family!

Food was ok, waitress was rubbish. Waited so long for any order we had to call the lady over multiple times for more drinks -empty’s were then not cleared. When paying it was spilt between all. Told we couldn’t take the £25 service charge off as we were a large table despite 0 service at all. Wouldn’t recommend and highly disappointed. Thanks to the manager for sorting out the service charge after the waitress refused to take it off :)

Despite being a busy Saturday evening, we were greeted as we walked in and were quickly found a table. Service was quick and all the staff were friendly. The food was fresh and delicious, and we made sure we had room for dessert. Will visit again.

Food was OK, although I struggled to find any mince in the lasagna. However having booked over a month ago for a family birthday we were disappointed to be sat at a table that was basically part of the waiting area for just eat and collections etc. For most of our meal we had several delivery drivers surrounding us watching us eat which was extremely uncomfortable. Queried this with a waitress who made a joke of it "they will stare more if you order dessert". Overall an unpleasant and uncomfortable experience.

I bought a takeaway pizza x 2. It was awful! It was not fresh at all! I was sick the day after. My husband felt the same. This is the first pizza I have tasted that tasted so awful. We came on a Saturday evening as a family of 4 we had a lovely waitress called Holly, she joined in on a bit of fun that my son had with her and made the evening! It was a busy evening but the food was served hot and without much waiting time, all round very happy customers 😊

Absolutely excellent service from Carla. She was a perfect server and so kind and lovely. She gave us quick service and made the whole experience a pleasure, and made us smile!

Can't tell you how disappointed we were; there was always something special about Pizza Express - they were never the cheapest, but the food was always really good. My Romana Padana - well, the toppings were spread so thinly, cheese cut into such tiny pieces it might as well have not been there - all I could taste was the bread base! This was always my go-to pizza - tasty, creamy, delicious; never again - and £16? With £3.55 for a bottle of Coke?? Sorry, you're having a laugh - selling a third rate product at premium prices. When my son comes over from the USA he always INSISTS on going to Pizza Express - he loves it, but next time he'll go without me. Poor poor poor!

Poor service yet again. Third time lucky- turns out this is not so. I thought I’d give it another chance after last times poor service and I wish I hadn’t. I was ignored at the door for five minutes while a waitress chatted to a customer who was clearly also her friend about how annoying she finds parking in the staff section. I ended up interrupting these chat so I could get seated wit my toddler. This lady then continues to call me sweetheart when she talks to me, which I find patronising especially as this lady was clearly 18 ish and I’m 30odd. Anyways I get sat down but then ignored for ten minutes until I ask a member of staff for service, who then didn’t understand me, who then went to find another member of staff to talk to me, this other member of staff then came over and said she would get another member of staff to serve me- that took another five mins of my life waiting for the final waiter to turn up. Then eventually the starters come out but no drinks, I have to asked for them again, they are 25p off the bill for late drinks- what is the point?! I eventually leave and there is no goodbye. Never again, service at zizzi’s and wildwood are so much better. This place is actually getting a reputation in Rushden for poor table service- wish I listened!

Lovely day for meal out with family

The lady that served us, didn’t seem to acknowledge us after walking past us about 10 times. We made it obvious that we needed the bill but yet no response, while other people were paying.

I would point out before you read this, that the waiting staff are lovely, if completely rushed off their feet. They resolved the matter with a good discount. We came in for a family meal and found the placed heaving. No surprise for a Saturday afternoon here. First, staters came out and half the family had finished them before the other half got theirs. When mains came, it was the same situ. Went from bad to worse. A lasagne came out cold and went back. Everyone else had finished dinner by the time the new one arrived. The new one arrived and that luke-warm went back again. One member of the family went home without a dinner. When the kitchen can’t even warm up a pre-made lasagne you know they are having problems. The trouble is, that it’s profits before quality. Too many tables to deal with, a take-away service out of control and only six people in the kitchen. Sorry pizza express - we won’t be back.

The beautiful view from the windows on the lake gives a perfect climate. Very friendly staff. Food is always nice whenever I go to this pizza express restaurant. Never disappointed so far. Prices are reasonable for the quality of food given. You can also grab some extra food next visit If you fill in a survey. Definitely recommend dough balls. Me and my partner have been offered a table away from the crowded part.

Double charged for a meal and refused refund even with bankstatement provided. Orders were wrong from starter to main. Upon complaining at the lack of toppings and presented with practically bread with tomato puree the manager had no idea how to resolve the issues. Offering no form of customer satisfaction. A customer should never have to resolve the issues of their own order.

It was ok food was nice a little expensive for what it was but it was ok.

Walked in and got seated sat for half hour and no one even came to take a drink order let alone a food order... It was quite busy but we were walked past plenty of times. Long story short we got bored of sitting there like lemons and went over to bills instead.

The Girlfriend and I visited on our 4 year anniversary yesterday (5th May 2023) and we were both thoroughly impressed! To start off with, we both shared the “Dough Balls Doppio” and they were extremely tasty. I then had the “Romana Pollo ad Astra” which tasted gorgeous and it’s very rare I finish a full pizza! My other half had the “Classic American” which she also managed to finish! We both then shared the “Halloumi Bites” which, unfortunately, were a bit soggy and they all stuck together! Nonetheless, the meal was well worth the price and tasted amazing! The food came out in no time, which was brilliant considering how busy it was! We found the price extremely reasonable and the service was awesome! I fully recommend visiting here and a big shout out to the waiter - can’t remember his name - as he tried his hardest to find us a discount to use hahaha!!! P.S - The Peroni Capri is so tasty

We had a great lunch of pizza. They were cooked just right with the bread still having a soft centre. The toppings were delicious and just about generous. We arrived for an early lunch and had the pick of tables. It was nice to be in a window overlooking the lake. Staff and service were excellent.

I booked a table for lunch on Thursday 6th April 2023. Rushden Lakes pizza express staff are usually very good. The only positive was our server, who I have seen many times. However, this one staff member ruined my usual expectations. As we walked in, the staff member looked at the individual with me who was wearing a hijab, and asked if we wanted the vegan menu! I looked at my lunch companion very confused. As I turned back at the staff member, she looked at the person with me again and repeated herself, but this time looking at her up and down. I was disgusted at the staff members behaviour, but chose not to say anything as I did not want to ruin the nice day we had prior to coming to pizza express. When I have been to pizza express previously, I have never been asked if I want the vegan menu. Other customers entering the restaurant after us were not asked for the vegan menu. My companion was very upset during the meal and when we returned home. Absolutely appalling behaviour. The staff member proved how prejudice and discrimination exists, even at a pizza express.

The chilli prawns starter is an absolute joke! 3 tiny rubber prawns under a mountain of tomatoes was not worth the money. My pizza was so thin that was burnt in the centre, so had a big hole in it. Very busy place on Sunday afternoon as expected, our pizzas wasn't done properly, needed couple of more minutes in the oven, and the beer was warm 😕. However the dessert was delicious. 😋 Staff very nice and polite. Overall not a bad experience,

Lovely food, a bit expensive but worth it for the food, the service and the attention to detail. I also appreciate the space in the restaurant. The tables are not packed in too closely. I recommend the raspberry sparkle. The toilets were impressively clean and smart.

Good food, would like a few more veggie/ vegan options on the menu but overall not bad. Kids menu could have a few more options. Service was excellent, friendly staff, have been a few times now and will return.

Really tasty treat pizza. Starters are delicious calamari was spot on. Pizzas are also very good and worth the price point. The restaurant is very clean and staff are also very polite, great service without it being to full on.

Greeting was very nice, table was ready. Young and who took our order was extremely polite and attentive. Drinks came quick, the starters came for 2 of us and we had finished before the 3rd starter was even ready. We asked a blonde lady with short hair and she said she doesn't know why it's not here. Eventually it came, we asked the blonde lady again for a jug of water it never came. It came after we asked the young man who took our order, he was on it immediately. We asked the same lady for a pizza cutter, it came after we asked for a 2nd time. Pizza cutters were available as the tables around us had them with their order. The blonde lady foreign and her hair is very short and partially shaved. The young man who was excellent and has a piercing in his left ear.

A great evening, greeted on arrival by we think the manager, very friendly chap. Shown to our table, promptly visited by our wait staff, Inga. Drinks order delivered and food followed... Quality of food was excellent, service was attentive without being pushy, and always with a smile... Keep up the great service, couldn't say anything needed to be improved on, we will be back. 😀

Well well well, what can I say except PERFECT.. we reached half an hour earlier than the table was booked but it wasn’t an issue for them. We were given a table despite of them being rather busy, which was a blessing as we were a family of 4 with 2 little boys! Whilst the mains took longer than expected to arrive (20 mins), they were delicious and as always worth the wait. But the best part of the lunch was our server CASPER! What a lovely polite and efficient young man, and a delight to liaise with. Nothing was too much of a trouble for him and he did it all with a big fat smile! KUDOS Casper! Thank you …

My daughters and I had q great meal and q fab waitress called Bernie ,she was so nice and very accommodating, I wanted to do a huge shout out for her on the survey ,but don't want to risk charges up to £4.50 per week for doing the survey,such a shame as she deserves the recognition, shame on u Pizza express for putting these conditions in place.

Was in here yesterday and was honestly in and out within an hour… within about 20 minutes of getting home, I was sick. Literally throwing up non stop. Had the dough balls and had a standard cheese pizza… nothing about that should’ve given me food poisoning but only thing I ate all day… the staff were friendly though and quick service considering busy but put me off eating there for life… will never go back…

Apart from the menu in the window being different to the one inside (quite a few significant price differences) we had a great lunch and a really good friendly staff

Varied selection of pizza and pasta. Different bases and unique toppings. All very tasty. Very polite attentive service and checks after serving. Varied drink selection but limited zero alcohol choices. Fair prices. Nice to be able to see the kitchen in action. Nice place for a decent meal and a good chat.

Amazing experience, had my dinner here on Monday and service from the waitresses were excellent. Also want to give a shout-out to the lovely young lady who was running the food.

Food is great but service is always very slow and frustrating. Our mains were brought out prior to the starter which is fine, the chap apologised and it wasn’t a big deal at all - accidents happen. However, when they did bring out the pizza it was cold and I had to ask for it to be heated up which is not acceptable at all. The halloumi bites weren’t cooked thoroughly either. Last time we visited in July they took our order but lost it on the system after we waited for 45 minutes. It’s a real shame as the food is excellent but it’s a real downer waiting and waiting for service. If you go in the future avoid sitting behind the kitchen as the waiters don’t frequent this area enough and takes longer to serve, poor group next to me were waiting 25 mins for the bill and had to get up more than once to ask. Also whoever comments asking for an email to investigate further, I did last time and you didn’t even reply :)

Amazing place amazing team specially the managers Eli and Giorgia they were both so welcoming and friendly Giorgia ,did sit us down, gave us time to look at the menu after few minutes Eli come over and took our drinks order, it was an amazing experience.. food and service was beautiful thank you team Rushden !!
