Went here as two couples on a Friday evening. The food was good, service was good and we were not rushed at all. Two courses and two bottles of wine for around £85 a couple. Very reasonable.

Booked a table at 7.30 tonight for three. Received email confirmation in which we were told restaurant was looking forward to seeing us. Travelled from London to take 82 year old Mum for dinner to cheer her up after loss of Dad after 60 years of marriage. Arrived promptly at restaurant, a number of free tables apparent. When we walked in the man that greeted us looked startled. I told him we had booked a table for 3 and he said they had no such booking. I showed him my email confirmation but he said that wasn’t enough. Despite empty tables no table or explanation was offered. We had no choice but to leave and walk around town with struggling Mother to find alternative (which eventually we did). Once we finished we walked back past this restaurant to see many empty tables. Very, very poor. Won’t bother again.

Fantastic place. We love it. Feels like a real Italian. The steak was some of the best we’ve had. Always have loads of gluten free options. A go to for a lovely meal in Lutterworth!

Ate here with my family last night. The food was incredible and great value. The presentation was amazing. The staff were friendly, It was like being on holiday. Will definitely be returning.

Went for a birthday meal for my partner, I can only describe the food as absolutely amazing!!! we had a wonderful evening.

We took a chance on Cheiko’s as we visited for the first time for a family celebration. We’re so glad we did! Generous portions of authentic Italian food. We ordered gnocchi, sea bream, mussels, a pizza, side vegetables, tiramisu & crème brûlée - all plates emptied. My husband said he’d never been served such a mountain of mussels & they were in a lovely sauce. There was a relaxed atmosphere with Italian music & several other tables occupied. Everybody really enjoyed their food & we will definitely be returning at the earliest opportunity.

Fabulous meal ,yet again .The atmosphere is lovely and the service brilliant.We can always rely on good food at Cheikhos.

Have not been to this restaurant for about 30 years since moving away. Tried again on friday noght and was more than pleasantly suprised. The service was excellent and the food was as good , or better that we remembered. We will certainly be back John Leadbetter 25/2/24

Place is in need of some updating but that is part of its charm food is very good (the bruschetta aside) service can be a little erratic but never poor as to spoil the evening

Very pleasant atmosphere and excellent food. While there was only one person front of house, it wasn’t too busy and the service was polite and efficient. There is a good choice of food including excellent vegetarian options. The whole experience was very relaxed with no pressure to vacate our table after the meal.

Amazing food, quick and efficient service despite only one staff serving, great ambiance, and really good value for money. Happy to go back again!

This was our first visit after a recommendation by a family member. We were not disappointed! We had three courses which were very fresh and tasty. Good quality ingredients and beautifully cooked. The great price was an added bonus! Will definitely visit again and bring friends.

We were staying nearby & when we stopped in Lutterworth for a lunchtime drink we spotted the authentic Italian restaurant , so we rang up & booked it for that night. Amazing decor so like being in Italy, ambience superb staff amazing food outstanding. Really can't recommend this restaurant high enough. Of you are any where near Lutterworth it is a must visit, you will not be dissapointed.

Visited Cheikhos for some dinner with friends, the food was of excellent quality, pasta was just excellent, friends said the steak was great too! service was very good, nothing too much trouble. Good selection of beers! Upon getting the bill we were surprised just how good value this place is! Considering we had 3 courses and plenty to drink, very reasonable. The restaurant was clean and decor was nice. Great job!

A disappointing visit mainly because the whole place could do with a good clean. The floor was filthy; the furnishings were grubby, the toilet very dirty(no hot water and nothing at all to dry your hands - no towels or hand drier) . Fully appreciate the issues hospitality venues are having with rising costs but cleanliness has to be a priority. The service was good and friendly and food was ok; reasonably priced but if you’re worried about hygiene standards this is not the place

Booked table for 7pm as a special night out - husband spent summer in hospital with a DVT, then broke his hip Christmas Eve, had operation Boxing Day all this after being diagnosed with advanced heart failure. This was to celebrate our 31st Wedding Anniversay. Arrived to find the place in DARKNESS and CLOSED! So - NOT impressed!

We booked at the last minute, two couples, the meal we received was excellent! We had starters and mains, a few beers and coffees. The quality throughout was fantastic, and I would definitely recommend it, for excellent Italian food! 👍🏼

We eat regularly at Cheikhos in restaurant and takeaway. I rate it the best restaurant in Lutterworth. The menu is extensive and prices are very reasonable. The Lasagne is the best I have ever been served and the rest is also excellent.

I have just arrived from this restaurant. So... nice environment. I asked for the mushrooms as a starter and they were too salty. I them received another mushroom which was better but still salty. I could not finish it. My partner had the olives with bread and we also found the bread a bit salty. For mains I order the veggie gnochi which i dont remember saying it had cheese on the ingredients, but mine came with cheese. Although i normally avoid dairy and cheese I did not want to complain again and I ate it and to be fair it was very good. My partner has the calzone and again the bread was salty for our taste. We order the red house wine, which is Italian and it was good. I was planning to give 3 stars to this restaurant, but they removed the mushrooms from our bill, which was a decent act and the reason why I am giving a 4 star review. The waiter was nice and we also gave him a tip. Would be good if you could reduce the salt in your dishes and also add plant based cheese as an alternative for those who want to a avoid dairy products.

Possibly the best meal we have had in Lutterworth. The quality of food and service was fantastic and very reasonable prices for the quality on offer.

so. other than the slow service, the staff who would rather just engage in conversation with one another the service was awful and the food was substandard. we went after lockdown on a groupon voucher and the food was great. so decided we would have to go again. fast forward to last night. we purchased another voucher on groupon, let the waitress know we had the voucher. she looked confused and went to clear it up with someone, he said it’s fine. so anyway we ordered our food. wasn’t great, portions were a lot smaller than before. but we ate it, then came the bill…. turns out the voucher we had wasn’t for said cheikhoes, the guy swore blind that they are not associated with the oadby restaurant which was the one we apparently had the voucher for. but after further investigation we found that they are intact the same company, so he could have easily honoured our voucher, yet he forced a £104 bill on us. he was very rude. and to top it off the place was filthy, toilet hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. avoid this place. picture for reference to show they are connected.

We went for my birthday meal and we weren't disappointed. I had the seafood salad and if was fantastic I so nearly ordered seconds! my wife also enjoyed her starter. The service was really good and the house wine was great, when the mains came and the food was fantastic I had chicken mushroom and blue cheese and wife had salmon and lobster pasta. We stayed for dessert and it was pretty good and we got a free shot of lemon chello which was an extra bonus. The waiter was great 👌 Really worth a visit. We are planning to go again next week 🙂

Went to Cheikhos on a Groupon Deal, i have been before but not for a few years. The deal was kind of explained but a bit of a mumble. must be the mask. Can't work out why more people haven't reviewed it before, oh well. Good selection of starters and mains, went for the Funghi Tri Colore and the Bruschetta di Supreme to start followed by the Pollo Cacciatora and the Ravioli for mains. The starters came quite quickly and were very tasty, the mains were ok, the Ravioli was a little undercooked and the chicken was a little over, the sauce with the blue cheese was absolutely fab. One of the main problems is the place, it needs a dam good clean and spruce up. The harder you look the grubbier it becomes, the gents is a bit rum...... Get in first thing Monday morning with a mop, bucket, bleach and some paint and it could be a different place by opening. It's a shame really as i always try and support independent businesses verses the chain ones. The service was ok, ish, it should have been spot on as it wasn't that busy. Drinks were a reasonable price. One other small gripe, we wanted 7:30 but were told we had to choose 07:00 or 08:00, no idea why?????????? It was empty.

Ordered 5 meals tonight for a family meal. Absolutely delicious, we've never been disappointed by the quality and value. Food is always ready on time and would highly recommend.

Been here before and had a lovely time. Visited on Tuesday, with a friend, using a Groupon. The Groupon stated that the only thing you had to pay a supplement for was £4 for fillet steak. However the waiter said there was a £6.95 supplement...

Authentic food, reminded us of simple honest eateries in Ischia. Pizzas and seafood were very tasty. Good choice on menu. Felt at home here. Just like Italia, don’t be in a rush. Can’t wait to come back.

Third visit for me but booked a table first time for my sisters birthday the place never fails me the food is superb and service steady with no rush between courses, a really varied menu inexpensive and a good choice of wines thank you very much to all staff will definitely see you again soon

My boyfriend and I often visit this little hidden gem, it's perfect for a date night. It's lovely to sit when the window-doors are open on a Summer's evening. The service is always great, it's intimate enough but not too much fuss. The menu has a good balance of veggies, meat and typical Italian dishes. Portion sizes are good, I would recommend the melon starter! Also very reasonably priced. We will be returning again very soon.

My partner and I visited on a Tuesday evening, it was quiet given the day of the week.

Food was excellent. Friendly helpful staff. Excellent place for dinner. And a nice atmosphere. Only complaint was a bit cool as we were sat too near the door and it was a bit drafty when it was opened We will return.

We hadn't visited Cheikos in years and were pleased to find that the food was still as delicious as ever. The serving staff were young and perhaps lacked a bit of experience, but looked after us OK. The restaurant was virtually empty (probably the post-Xmas 'dip') so it lacked a bit of atmosphere, but we enjoyed our family meal out very much.

Went for a meal on Saturday evening. The restaurant has been going for years and the decor is showing it’s age (as was the CD!) a dirty tablecloth wasn’t the greatest of starts and the food was traditional Italian in that it was hearty with loads of sauce and not bad but nothing memorable. Restaurant was really quiet for a Saturday night and staff and manager seemed genuine but imagine there is better around.

Myself and my boyfriend took my parents to this fantastic restaurant. We had been before and we have booked for Christmas eve so thought we'd take my parents to show them what a treat they'll be in for. All our dishes were delicious, the wine was tasty and the puddings were so good. We felt like we were in Rome it was so delicious. The guy serving us was cooking the food too, he's a legend! We can't wait for Christmas eve.

We wanted to try here while visiting family as it offered the meerkat 2 for 1. That was cerrtainly effortless to claim but this restaurant was worth visiting without the offer. Nice Italian background music in a beautiful restaurant with every table looking wonderful. Very attentive service but most importantly - superb food. We were in a party of 4 but I had the lemon pepper spiced chicken with additional sautéed potatoes and I think it was quite probably the best meal I’ve ever had in my life. All 4 of us enjoyed our meals and our desserts were equally as good. With a lovely house wine the meal was, I have to say, the best I’ve ever had in the area. And I have eaten in most of them. There were several tables taken but at these prices it should have had queues waiting to get in. Probably the best kept secret in Lutterworth.

Don’t touch the Groupon deal with a barge pole. We booked a table for 12 with 3 vouchers after 2 telephone calls confirming this would be acceptable.

Cheikhos decor is rather dated and feels like a 1980's time warp.... BUT, that's why I liked it so much! It took me back to a time before social media and mobile phones... it reminded me of restaurants I went to as a child and it has a real Med feel about it. However, this may not be to everyone's taste. The food was very good. Rich, comfort food and plenty of it. Great value and friendly.

Cheikos is an amazing resteraunt I would recommend to everyone. The food is great and the chef is very talented. The staff are welcoming and seem very polite. I would highly recconend this resteraunt !

Lovely food, cannot fault. Generous wine portion! Served by a young lad who didn't have that great table manners... but that was ok. Only downside is that the tablecloth had crumbs on it still... and if you looked on the floors they looked quite dirty.

Do not go if you are planning on using meerkat meals as they do not honour the starters or deserts as 2 for 1 although I showed them where it states this on the app. They knew I was going to use the 2 for 1 before I ordered and failed to tell me. The food was delicious just a shame this let our night down.

Had a groupon voucher and we were very surprised by the vast selection available to choose from. The meals we had arrived promptly and were beautifully presented and it was some of the nicest Italian food I’ve had in the UK. The restaurant is quite rustic but feels traditional and the staff were very attentive. We’ll definitely be going back again soon.

Went with groupon vouchure and asked what was included in the deal. The new waiter didn't know so double checked with I assume the manager and stated all included except the steak. When the bill came we had a 9 pound surcharge for my dish of prawns. After challenging the manager he made me feel like a second class citizen and reluctantly reduced the bill and threw my credit card receipt across the bar at me. As I left he said he would deduct the poor waiters wage for making the mistake. Ruined me and my wife's evening never again. Will also report this to groupon.

The food was excellent and faultless. The only thing stopping it getting five stars is the decor and atmosphere which could be better. I had a chicken dish which was very tasty and could tell it was cooked fresh. We have been half a dozen times and not had a bad meal yet.

We went to Cheikho's as an evening out for four friends. Three of us had starters, two had melon and one had the bruschetta di supreme, which was like a turnover with pesto sauce and mozzarella. All very much enjoyed. Our mains consisted of lasagne, chicken breast with mushrooms and a carbonate. We all commented on the high quality of the food, and although we didn't have desserts, it was only because we were full. Coffee finished our meal and we all agreed we would definitely be back. We went to Cheikhos for my sons birthday he wanted a Mexican and this was the nearest one we all enjoyed our meals nothing fantastic but we would definitely go again.

New to the area and we stumbled across this lovely family fun Italian restaurant. Good service, albeit a little slow but that really doesn’t matter when you are enjoying the wine and relaxing. The food itself was lovely including the complimentary garlic bread. We will definitely return.

We have loved Cheioks for many years and we are regulars at the Oadby Cheikos and we have previously dined at the Lutterworth Cheikos,the first meal we had there in 2015 was absolutely excellent and it was run by Cheiko's son, and the whole evening was excellent.

We visited on a Friday evening when two thirds of the tables were occupied yet only one waiter was serving the whole restaurant as well as covering the bar duties.

We visited Cheikho's tonight through a Group on deal and we were pleasantly surprised. The food was very tasty and there was a good choice of meals to choose from on the menu. The downside was that we did feel that they were under staffed and need an experienced front of house employee although the food was very nice.

We have been here a number of times and love it more and more with every visit. The owner is so friendly and the food is incredible! The value for money is great and it is real Italian fresh food. Can't believe this place isn't always full.

Recently visited for dinner with my girlfriend. Place needs a revamp, young girl serving the whole restaurant struggling to keep up no fault of her own. Left waiting for 25 minutes for starter which was bread and olives. Starter came out and we asked for no cheese as my girlfriend is vegan. They brought garlic bread with cheese which was returned and brought new garlic bread without which had cheese on it and when asked why the chiefs reply was it wasn't cheese and it's garlic butter. May I add vegans don't eat dairy and I tastes the garlic bread and it was cheese. Still left hungry and waiting for our meals at this point it's near on 40 minutes since ordered one of which is just pasta and the other salmon. Left with empty glasses and our starter plates taken away when eating the olives which were a measly 5/6 olives. Under trained staff and no attention to customers. Try adding a few more staff or becoming quicker there were only 3 other tables. Waiting for pasta and salmon doesn't take near on an hour. Left hungry and unsatisfied!

This is the second time I have been to this reataurant on a Saturday night and it did not disappoint- excellent service wonderful food and a nice atmosphere - would definately recommend and I shall definately go there again with my family. - Well done Cheikhos !

I had the mussels to start which was really nice, but the lamb dish i had for main was awesome.. based on the food i would definitely give it a 5 but the decor and atmosphere was a little disappointing.

The food at this restaurant was exceptional, we were a party of eight, and had an assortment of starters and main courses,each meal was presented appetisingly and was extremely tasty.

This is a genuine high quality Italian restaurant, the food is fantastic - really delicious and great value. The service isn't the most attentive but it is run by somebody who really cares - I can't recommend it highly enough.

We visited with our family to make use of a groupon voucher. You could smell the yummy food as soon as we started ordering. All six of us had different things off the menu. Really great food and amazing value with the voucher.

Where do you start? Table for 3 Saturday evening. Is getting your starter, hour and 30mins ok after walking in? Waitress maybe 14 years of age, looking after the entire restaurant, not another person in sight. Had to ask for everything, never offered drinks starters came with no cutlery, 5 mins later before we got some and given a steak knife for pasta for some reason ! Agree with previous review, mushrooms perfectly round, every one same size and shape. Out of a tin and warmed up. Mains then a further hour and 50 mins, pizza clearly made on a purchased in base, all very basic. Salad was off, wet and brown. Nothing was made from fresh, all supermarket ingredients heated up. Service, well wasn't any. Young girl although felt sorry for her totally out of her depth and didn't have a clue. Had two drinks in over 3 hours, we had to ask for those. Never asked if everything was ok. Tables and floors sticky, toilets stunk with old poo all over basin, could write your name in the sink was that mucky. Kitchen looked a mess, old tiles missing.Be better off going pizza man next door. Rotten never ever again.

Cheikos is our local restaurant of choice and up there with any of the local restaurants we have frequented in the half a dozen towns our working lif have so far taken us to in the UK.I was horrified by the review written in 2014 which still comes up when you look for Cheikos. I have never known a pre-bought voucher to offer the while menu on any occasion we have used them and the previous reviewer was simply being unrealistic.The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly and always concerned to see you enjoy our meal. This is never a problem as the food is always excellent and the specials board always offers extra choices. My main struggle as Cheiko's is always trying to choose between the delights on offer. What's more the food is very reasonably priced for this quality of restaurant.

This could be an excellent place to eat. But, needs a lot of work getting the place looking right. The staff are usually young girls...they have not been trained in the advising diners of the dishes, I could go on...........

Where on earth do we start. Table booked for five at 7:30 am. Young girl seated us, maybe 14 or 15 years of age max. Given menus, 30 mins later, nothing. Not offered any drinks and just ignored. Finally a gent must be the owner came to the table, covered in sweat and stunk of body odour. Took our orders, mentioned not been offered drinks yet.10 mins later drinks arrived, after 40 mins of been in the place. Pint of lager is actually a half but at a pint price. 50 mins later and two hours into the evening starters arrived. All 5 were awful. Tinned mushrooms in a runny like water yellow source, had zero taste. Cheap rolled Salmon clearly out of a packet swimming in a black sauce that nobody could work what it was. Mussels that we're not opened and sunk in some type of sauce that had oil floating. No breads nothing. Nobody could finish the starters they we're just awful. All 5 dishes sat there for a further 30 mins until finally the young girl who walked past a good 20 times collected. No mention of any problems or would you like further drinks. It seems there is two staff, the young girl and the owner / cook. After visiting the toilet that was it we got up and left. We saw the state of the kitchen and toilets that had no been cleaned forever. Beyond vile. The kitchen was awful, stuff everywhere. All salad was supermarket bags, floor covered in food, lights hanging off ceiling. After just shy of 3 hours, awful starters and one drink then seeing the state of the kitchen and toilets that was it we left. Numerous people were complaining, couple behind us been there 2 hours and had nothing so far. The young girl walking backwards and forwards didn't have a clue about anything. I can honestly say this was the worst evening out in a restaurant ever, the place wants shutting down.

We ate here using a Groupon which specified in the small print that the only exclusions were dessert dishes, specials board, drinks and there was a surcharge for fillet steak. The menu was excellent and I was going to choose a fish dish but was then told that there was a surcharge for fish dishes and also for the duck dish on the menu. I feel that these surcharges should be clearly shown in the Groupon fine print, so that you are aware before purchasing.Main meals included are pizza, pasta and chicken dishes of which there are plenty to choose from. Side dishes (vegetables, salad etc) are a reasonably priced extra cost. There was a good choice of starters too. I can't fault the food, both our starters and main course chicken dishes were beautifully presented and tasted wonderful. The service was excellent. We would definitely visit again, despite the dishes that are excluded for Groupon users. Would have got 5* if fine print had been more specific.

Visited the restaurant on a very quiet Tuesday evening, only one other couple in there, which is a shame as the ambience felt flat. The food was very good. The starters are enormous, so it may be worthwhile considering sharing one. They were superbly cooked and full of flavour. Our mains were again excellent, I had the Cheikhos pizza and it beat me. It filled the plate and was well cooked as were my companion's pollo ravioli. We were too full to have desserts although the list looked good. The meal was well placed £69 for three with drinks. The service was good, the waitress was attentive but her vocabulary seemed limited to 'you're welcome', but she was charming. We are back in the area in October, so will definitely pay it a visit but hopefully it will be a bit busier because it deserves to be.

Had a fabulous meal last Friday for the first time on a Groupon deal. The restaurant had a lovely home feeling, with a very warm welcome by a waitress who was rushed off her feet but nothing was too much trouble. The meal was excellent from the starter to the main course, felt we were fine dining in a 5 star hotel. The service was alittle slow but only because they were short staffedHighly receommend this restaurant we will definately return soon.
