The best restaurants serving Italian food in East Midlands

Just had our 11th year anniversary dinner here and it was our visit to Salerno’s since moving to Oundle. It was the perfect cosy, casual spot for a Sunday evening. Service was welcoming, attentive, wine list was good, and the Gorgonzola ravioli and the gnocchi were both excellent. This isn’t Italian fine dining - but it doesn’t need to be. It’s unpretentious, cost effective, great quality comfort food. Glad we have them in Oundle and it’s a 5 minute walk from our house, so I think we’ll be back.

Super friendly! Great fresh pizza with lots of toppings, love the generous toppings. The garlic parmesan crust is delicious! Definitely recommend giving it a try, we will come back.

Despite the staff being nice, the owner openly expresses his discriminatory views and behaves unprofessionally, which makes for a very off-putting environment.

Dolce Cafe may not serve Italian fare, but it's a charming spot with a varied menu, and a variety of tempting cakes. The atmosphere is cozy, and the staff are friendly. If you have a sweet tooth and enjoy a relaxed cafe setting, this place is worth a visit.

The food is average. We got 2 plates of pasta and we were not impressed, especially given the price. The service was lacking. Waiting time between sitting down and ordering, as well as receiving the meal and the bill. The place itself is nice and good spot for a date.

Brilliant experience all around! Great array of food on the menu, burger and pasta are super tasty! Self dispensing drink machine is awesome too.

The best calamari I've ever tasted, period. The service was amazing, the seafood was high quality and the desserts were so delicious, can't wait to return. If you love food, Cini is a MUST VISIT.

A solid 4-star place. Their tomato bruschetta was amazing, but their main felt a bit oily and had mad both mine and my wife's stomach a bit weird. Also, not a great range for veggies.

Fabulosas pizzas. Probablemente el mejor que he tenido en el Reino Unido, hecho con ingredientes de excelente calidad. Visitamos un viernes por la noche ocupado. Desafortunadamente no hay desiertos, pero disfrutamos mucho de las pizzas y recomendaría el lugar. Pero reserva con antelación.

Anjali was brilliant tonight, she gave us wonderful table service and was incredibly polite, attentive and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for her! Delicious food and great service!

Authentic Italian food - the real deal. The burrata and tomato primo was out of this world. What a find. I'll be back!

My friend and I always go to Zizzi, the service is good so are the staff, food is very nice.

We had a pleasant experience at Zizzis where Isla, our lovely waitress served us, she was very kind and attentive throughout our meal. Will 100% be returning!
