Amazing food , attentive service as an amazing atmosphere …. What else to say we definitely coming back

We happened upon Timo, looking for somewhere for lunch for us and our two boys and were very impressed. Our boys both went for the kids’ menu, which was excellent value, they chose the pizza which they declared better than Franca Manco (the highest praise they can give!). We had their Panini’s which were delicious, especially the homemade ciabatta. Would highly recommend. Thanks.

Lovely restaurant, food is divine.

Great place, great food. Went here for a Friday evening, atmosphere was great with upbeat music creating a great environment to eat and drink. Much better than most restaurants in leicester that I’ve been to over the last few years. Can’t seem to get a meal of value anywhere else. Great for a Friday night out.

Lovely little restaurant. Comfotable and cosy. We went with friends and we all enjoyed the evening. The food was very nice. My vegetarian Lasgne was lovely. My partners meat lasgne was on the dry side. We would definitely come back to this place. We found both of the waiters on that night to be very friendly.

The menu contains the classic Italian menu staples you'd expect. Portions were generous and prices were reasonable. On weekdays there are offers on the menu so it's cheaper to visit then. There's a few vegetarian options but I didn't see anything vegan. Gluten free pasta is available. Food was good but I just didn't feel I wanted to shout about it. One dish wasnt very warm. Service was good. I found the restaurant a little cold, although I didn't say anything about this to the staff.

Nice venue, staff were nice and friendly, just a bit over priced for what you get. Food was okay, nothing fancy, so overall a positive experience.

Just Experiened the worst customer service by the owner. We refused to give 10% service charge, only because we called the waiters 5 times to order food and the only answer we got was “I’ll be there in a minute”, I then had to go to the bar myself to order the food. The owner asked us our experience after knowing that we refused the service charge, we explained to him, and he became so aggressive, rude, erratic, dominating, intimidating, forgot business manners on how to speak to customers. The guys a loser. I’ve had better experience at OGGI ON LONDON ROAD. This place is going down the hill.

Last night myself and my husband had a lovely evening at Timos , food was really nice and reasonably priced. Atmosphere was great with lovely decor will definitely be returning with a larger group for our festive meal .

Highly recommend!! We’ve dined at Timo several times for lunch/ dinner. The staff are warm, welcoming and are great at tailoring to any dietary requirements. The food is amazing- plenty of options! Price point is very reasonable- most weekdays there’s usually a deal on so definitely great value for money. Overall, a lovely place for family/ friends when looking for authentic Italian food in Leicester!

I came here a couple nights ago with my family and can definitely say we had an amazing experience. The staff were so welcoming, the food was amazing, and they even have many deals on different nights. Would definitely recommend as the perfect place to wine and dine.

In a word…. Disgusting! We had our team Christmas dinner here & it was the worst experience ever! From a party of 7 we sent 3 main courses back, the chicken was so over cooked I couldn’t physically cut through it with a knife, my colleagues lamb shank was over done & the mash potatoes were terrible. To top it off the manager thinks it’s a good idea to tell customers not to “push it when complaining”, absolute joke! The icing on the cake is they send a big oaf to threaten you outside once you’ve left the premises. Don’t bother as it’s terrible food & service. What a shame as I’ve read previous reviews & was expecting a great evening

We ate at Timo last night. To keep it brief, the place is cosy and relaxing, the staff are friendly and helpful and the food is lovely. I had the Lobster Ravioli and for once in my life I was not looking enviously at other plates. It was perfect. My wife loved her pizza but could only eat half and the waitress was genuinely concerned that she might not have enjoyed her meal. It was great. We will definitely be back when we visit Leicester again.

Absolutely incredible this restaurant, the food was delicious the service and the staff were amazing we are going back next week we enjoyed ourselves that much - reccomend to anyone!!!!

First time I came to Timo and had been wanting to visit for years. The interior of the restaurant is quite small I’d have to say and I felt a little squashed on my table. Too close to other diners I think personally. However, the food and service was amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed my chicken and tomato sauce as well as the amazing dessert and pizza. Food was cooked fresh and to order. I can’t wait to visit again, thank you so much.

Went last night. Didn’t book turned up and they was able to fit us in was early the food was lovely I have to be carful with allergies but I didn’t even have to ask to change things etc as was options I could have all the staff was lovely and service was lovely got busier as we newly fished meal but all staff was still able to met out needs as visiting the area not local

Food not of a good standard as other reviews suggest especially considering the price. Felt sick for a few days straight after having a meal here. When asking for chilli sauce they give chilli sauce mixed with mayonnaise which I think could have been the reason for falling sick. Atleast provide a good quality chilli sauce and condiments for the price you charge. Starters and main course were both average. Nothing special.

Great Italian food at a great price. I would recommend this place. My wife and I came here to celebrate our anniversary and we couldn’t be any happier that we came here!

Welcomed by staff, lovely hidden gem of a classic italian restaurant. Food was delicious and cocktails :) we had to wait a little while for mains, but this was worth the wait, were given complimentary olives, which was a nice touch. Staff knowledgable on food and drink options , food was suburb and cannot wait to book again at a later date - thank you :)

I ate in the restaurant once and enjoyed it, but last night we ordered delivery of vegetarian pizza. It was very disappointing: a thin layer of tomato paste, a few bits of pepper and onion, and (a reasonable quantity of) mushroom slices. That was it. Nothing like the photo on deliveroo. There were two redeeming features: the delivery was very quick, and the rocket and parmesan salad was good (but expensive).

This was really gorgeous genuine Italian food served by an Italian family.

Timo does the best penne arrabbiata and a mushroom creamy pasta!! Both great options for vegetarians, left me with cravings!! 🤦🏽‍♀️

Great place. Food was excellent - only complaint was that the portions were a little on the small side. Staff were friendly and attentive. Buzzing with parties whilst we were there and it is quite small, so became very loud. However, really like this place - have been before and will go again.

We went for a mid week treat time Timo. The restaurant was busy with a nice atmosphere. Unfortunately my chicken Arrabiata had such a lack of chicken .My friends Calzone had 10 + huge lumps of uncooked garlic that were crunchy they were so undercooked. When some feedback was offered the manager? Owner? Was disinterested and very defensive interrupting us saying that it had been the same for 15 years, although I know categorically that the quality and quantity has declined as many other reviews have also stated. I am leaving the restaurant very disappointed. The overwhelming taste of uncooked garlic is making me feel nauseous. What a pity that that the staff were not interested in our feedback. Another little gem lost in the post covid period?

Very happy with our visit. Excellent place to bring your family! Very good service and very friendly staff. We all Felt very welcomed and the food was amazing, would definitely recommend! The Menu has an amazing range of dishes and the staff were very accommodating towards my children. We Will be returning for sure.

Decided to go out for dinner last minute and thus place had been mentioned to me. We didn't book, however we were greeted with a warm welcome. The menu had a fantastic range of dishes and the atmosphere was very relaxed. The service was superb, very helpful and friendly made us feel very welcome. The food was amazing. So tasty and full of flavour. Reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend

The area this restaurant is situated is very nice. The restaurant itself is very small with to many tables but has a nice feel about it. The staff are a bit rushed, not very professional, but are very nice. The food comes very slow, although you may expect this for the main, but not for the desert. The food is not great, the portion sizes are tiny. I ordered a medium rare steak, it came well done. My parters fish was tasteless and wet. My cheese board was tiny with a couple of different cheeses that were not nice. My partners crème brûlée was ok. They also ad a 10% survive charge, this is something I never like to see.

Tucked away in a lovely vibrant street of Leicester. The food here is tasty and reasonably priced. Has a few vegetarian options. Lots of dessert options and a great selection of wine.

Have been before with the same friends. Not as good this time , it was so noisy we were not talking but shouting through our meal . Decided to leave soon after dessert so we could go elsewhere and talk properly. We didn’t discuss the quality or if we liked the food at all . That says it all really , only memorable for the noise unfortunately.

I was looking forward to the place and dinner but I was disappointed. It felt like they wanted you in and out as soon as possible and keep the tables turning over. The restaurant was a little small and dark. The food was average and a little below par. It's a shame. Maybe if its a quieter day they may actually let you enjoy your dinner.

This is by far the best Italian restaurant I have ever been to, and I eaten in lots around the country, I can't praise them enough, the hospitality, care, taking time with us to choose a wine that would complement our meal, I can honestly say it's like sitting having a meal with family, all chilled out and relaxing, the food its wonderful, atmosphere lovely ,you will not be disappointed Stephanie, sorry I know I've spelt your name wrong, you make me laugh so much, love from the lady that pretended to go Dutch lol x

I just want to thank all the staff at Timo. I arranged for a family dinner and was given the exact table that I wanted due to health problems. The staff helped me to choose a lovely fresh rose wine. I will definitely have it again. The food was delicious. We had pizzas but my daughter raved about the pollo al fungi. The total experience was heart warming and I will definitely be returning for another happy family meal.

Scrumptious pizzas delivered from Timos whilst having an evening with a friend at The Classroom across the road from Timos. What a fab idea - the Timo menu is on the tables and you phone your order through, then they bring over. Excellent service and the best pizza ever 👍😁

Dreadful. Terrible overpriced wine. Badly cooked pasta, bland sauces. Never again. By a very decent distance the worst Italian meal I've ever eaten. Having been to Timos before as Leicester Tigers fans I was astonished how bad the place had become after Castro's departure. But the food was depressingly sad - the prawns tasted like they were out of a packet, the flavourless pasta and sausage dish was bland and the pasta tough. The house wine was terrible - and massively overpriced - Pinot Grigio that was utterly devoid of flavour and depth. And when we questioned the price - over £20 for a house wine - the waiter turned up his nose and ridiculed us, which, given that two of us have been buying wine from producers in France and Italy for 35 years was a joke. The portions were small and joyless. I have never, genuinely, had a worse diving experience.

Parking a little difficult as it's street parking and it gets very busy in the area (always something I look at first). Greeted by a dippy waitress who tried to turn us away even though we had a table booked. She was nice enough just lacked professionalism during the evening. Food was delicious, lovely choice of veggie food but small portions. My parmigiana was tiny. We were given a bottle of wine for free, lovely gesture. Didn't have dessert but coffee was good. Loved being back at Timo's, Never tried fresh octopus before and it was absolutely delicious the meat was sweet yet savoury and the sauce really complimented the dish perfectly. The mussels were fresh as well I'm pretty sure even Rick stein would agree they're amazing. Then my dessert, well if there was a heaven on earth I've found it, Mojito mousse with a rich rum and mint flavour running through it and a crunchy soft biscuit base, oh my goodness it was spectacular. Personally I would recommend this place who loves fine dining and wonderful caring staff.
