The best restaurants serving Italian food in England

Lovely staff, good atmosphere and the food was lovely. Would reccommend to friends and we will come again, even though it was very busy the service was great!

First time to Zizzi with a friend. Service was slow but friendly chap. Starter was tasty but small for the cost. Quite a wait for the mains which were lovely but had to go and find someone to ask for Parmesan cheese which you’d expect to be offered. Didn’t check that everything was ok. Sat waiting for quite a while to ask for the bill. Sadly wouldn’t go again

I had a fantastic experience at this place! The lady who served us was incredibly polite and helpful, constantly checking if we needed anything else. The food was absolutely brilliant—the pizza was delicious, the side chips were crispy and flavorful, and the dessert was the perfect sweet ending to the meal. The atmosphere was also lovely, making for a really enjoyable dining experience. I would definitely come back again! Highly recommended!

Unfortunately, this restaurant has followed the rip off tourist road. I had to look twice at the menu. But not wishing to ruin a lunch with friends I paid £25 for four meatballs and a small dish of spaghetti bolognaise. Hardly a feast. Even Rachael from accounts would find hard to justify

When we sat down, we were expecting a short wait and delicious food. Unfortunately, even though there were little to no people in the restaurant and we had only ordered simple food, we ended up waiting for around 25 minutes. The portions were also on the smaller side for some people.

Legitimately the worst pizza I have ever eaten... Granted, this food was ordered via Deliveroo however it took 3 hours to arrive... 3 hours!We ordered the pepperoni pizza, sharer garlic bread and a child's Bolognese... The pizza was burnt on one side, raw on the other and had not even been cut and the cheese tasted like plastic. The garlic bread also had not been cut and tasted like cardboard. The pasta was blatantly old and not fresh as well as being bland and overcooked. I honestly will never eat food from this restaurant ever againThe only saving grace is that we were issued a full refund...

This restaurant has switched to the European 'service charge' model. The food and service was fine but adding 12.5% to the bill (which I only noticed after paying) is a swindle we can do without in the UK. It's claimed the rip-off is optional but it is automatically added to the bill. If it were optional I would have to take an action to pay it, other forms of inertia sales are banned.What makes this even worse is that most of the money will not go to the staff, half will be wasted in tax and most of the rest used by the shareholders to achieve the statutory minimum wage.These dirty practices are not acceptable in the UK.

Este es un gran lugar - tienes una gran comida y espectáculo gratuito solo para divertirse al mismo tiempo. Pedí mi pizze italiano favorito de calzone, que muchos colocan y no hacen hoy en día.

Restaurante favorito y pizzería en Durham. Gran vista, personal y propietario! Visitamos este lugar durante 30 años, 1992 - 2022 , y siempre tuvimos una experiencia maravillosa.

No reservó y llamó el viernes por la noche. Nos hicieron sentir bienvenidos, mesa encontrada y rápidamente sentado. El personal era muy amable y excelente para el servicio al cliente. El menú navideño era muy bueno y toda la comida estaba bien cocinada, caliente y muy sabrosa. Nos sorprendió mucho lo mucho que lo disfrutamos. Este lugar es un activo para la marca prezzo

We were celebrating New Year's Eve 2024/2025 with friends in this wonderful rooftop, .. what can I say!? welcoming environment, exceptional staff and delicious food. We had the pleasure of meeting Paola, who welcomed us with great sympathy and kindness, an exceptional person… we were served by Anna, who made us feel at ease the whole evening, she took care of our table in every little detail. at our table we had a vegetarian who had the opportunity to taste vegetarian foods made with care, . I recommend visiting this place for any event. where you can enjoy a beautiful view., we will return soon. Thanks team

Great experience here for lunch. Super friendly and attentive staff. Smiley Rachel looked after us today. Nothing was too much trouble. Food was delicious, freshly cooked and arrived in a timely manner. Will be back.

This was a nice welcoming friendly staffed restaurant. We went there for dinner around 7pm.ish..all was OK, pizzas were fresh but far too big for one person. Would visit again in the future!

Staff uninterested I ordered a cocktail was informed “did not have it” even though it was on menu I was choosing another and girl went didn’t come back. We ordered food signature dish of pasta and spinach balls pasta was cold spinach balls burnt when I eventually manage to speak to some one she said “ sorry and laughed. I have always enjoyed my food here but I will not be going back
