This restaurant is horrible! The food was cold, tasteless and expensive. For one adult, this buffet costs £21 and is only worth £1 in my eyes. The pizza was the worst I have ever tasted, with the pizza base being very thin and I am not 100% sure if the pizza was cooked all the way through to be honest. Further to this, the pasta was so watered down! It just tasted of nothing. Would definitely not recommend going.

Pizza and pasta are far to be good. Pasta is over cooked and pizza do not have quality ingredients. Price is too high in my opinion based on the quality of the food.

£21 for adult, £12 for kids, that includes food an drink for that cost. Compared to the other food options I would suggest this is ok. At least you can eat as much as you want. There was plenty of pizza and was decent tasting. Again you've got remember where you are. My only complaint is the staff. Not that interest in helping. We got wedged behind the salad bar which essentially blocked anyone getting to one side which seemed odd given the restaurant had other tables left. Felt that was the easy option rather than take us to another table further into the restaurant.

The pizza and pasta verity is terrible. Would go to another restaurant maybe 3 different types of pizza and 2 pasta “cheesy pasta” which taste like pasta without cheese and the pasta bolognaise is the same. This could be a great place if they have more verity. £62 for 3 adults

We usually come here everytime we visit Alton Towers, but won't be visiting again. I felt so unwelcome and awkward - we walked in and the conversation between the two women at the till must have been far more interesting than serving us because they might have well have talked over me. Really rude stinky attitude from both of them when I asked the age a child entrance is (It's not on the sign, and I was spoke to like I was trying to lie). They just pointed at a table in an overcrowded corner, which just made me feel like an inconvinience to them. The rest of the place was nearly empty, so can't see why we HAD to sit there. I know it's theme park food and whilst I don't expect a 5 star meal, this time it was just awful. Greasy, terrible pizza and not much pasta options to choose from. For the price of £42 (yes, 42!!) For 2 adults, I'd expect a half decent meal. A real shame, but I couldn't walk out quick enough.

Amazing the food is so delicious and you also get unlimited pizza and they do pasta and unlimited drinks they also do sides like garlic nan etc and you just go up and grab whenever you like. even though it may be expensive for 20 pound per adult, for alton towers especially i don’t think it’s that bad you can eat everything you like so is worth if you have a big appetite. But overall, pretty good

Absolutely disgusting so called food served here, cold stale frozen pizza, pasta left so long it went stiff with no sauce at all on it. This could seriously make someone ill. Salad bar was the most edible, even though some of it tasted like vinegar. Drink was lukewarm and tasted flat. We left and ate at the Secret Garden restaurant as we were staying onsite and that was so much better. We should of realised when we first entered the pizza restaurant because the place was deserted and we had to pay upfront which is £17pp. Save your money and eat elsewhere, not this place that sells stale frozen pizza.

Not the best. £17 each for a buffet that had little selection and didn’t taste great. Don’t get me wrong I know it won’t be the best with it being a buffet however I expected more, especially when it used to be good! Pasta selection; there is hardly any. Salad bar is okay, would be a bit better if it was a bit more fresh as some of the salad was going a bit soggy - may be due to the fact it’s 25 degrees but still worth mentioning. The pizza lacks flavour and is a tad dry. Not much selection if you’re a vegetarian too only one very dodgy looking pizza which tasted off. The staff are also just at the front stood about which is a but off putting. It may just be today with the weather however I wasn’t impressed and will be looking for alternative places.

I had previously read very mixed reviews on this pizza pasta restaurant, my friend and I decided that we would visit for ourselves to make up our own minds, I was pleasantly surprised, there was a good selection of pizza, salads and pasta, and there was lots available, only slight criticisms would be maybe the pasta was a tiny bit on the bland side and would it be possible to have other drink refills such as apple juice or squash as some people might not be keen on fizzy 🥤

Since last year the price has shot up to £17.05 for an adult / teenager which seems possibly a bit steep for the quality of the pizza. It certainly wasn't terrible by any standards, my son thoroughly enjoyed his and my daughter liked the pasta. Would we return? Maybe as being captive in a theme park the last choice we had (in Oct 22) at the burger place was terrible. Like last time only the drinks used paper cups.

We chose to eat here whilst visiting the theme park. Reasonable costs compared to other places and Excellant allergen care for my granddaughter who is coeliac. On tasting the food though and using the toilets I’m wouldn’t visit again The pizzas were thin and cardboardy with no real taste of anything. The different choices, pepperoni, cheese and tomatoes, Hawaiian, vegetable all tasted the same. A fresh pizza came out whilst I was at the counter and it was great to have a hot slice! The garlic bread, pizza style, was much nicer than the pizzas and I had a few slithers of this. There is also a couple of pasta choices, I tried the tomato pasta and although also cold it was ok We had paper plates, the table was too small for the number of people, even though we had four children in our party! Plastic glasses for the choice oc fizzy soft drinks, the only drinks available!! When I went to use the toilets, which are three individual cubicles, one for those with disability and two others. A horrible smell hits you as you walk in. The toilet seat was up in the cubicle I had to use and it clearly is not cleaned underneath routinely!!!! It was £15.50 per adult and £7.95 per child

Paid over £30 for 2 adults and a 2 year old. Absolutely terrible value for money. I know you pay more in a theme park for food but you expect it to at least be bog standard. Pizza was tasteless, there was only 2 types of pasta on and both had barely any sauce on so was like eating plain bland pasta. We had to go to a hot dog stand after leaving because everyone was hungry afterwards. Very very poor.

On our second day in the park, after smelling their garlic bread for the third time whilst riding the River Rapids, I convinced my bf to queue for 25 minutes to eat here. I was so excited for some delicious pasta and garlic bread only to be instantly disappointed by the whole dining experience. I'm all for app ordering, but unfortunately had no internet in the restaurant. My internet had been fine in the rest of the park - typical! It was a hard job getting anyone to take my order the old fashioned way. One girl server repeatedly said she'd get "that boy" (her words, not mine) to take our order. But, the young chap kept far away from our table and instead aimlessly wandered around with paper cups. Once we did manage to order, with someone completely different, the young chap only brought over my bf's paper cup and forgot my bottle of coke. The tomato and basil pasta sauce was watery and plonked on top of bland, dry pasta. The bf's pizza was mostly cheese with a very thin, doughy base. They totally forgot my drink and I had to flag down the young chap just before we left to eventually get it.Honestly, I didn't think you could get pasta that wrong - I left pretty much all of it. Luckily, the garlic bread was passable. Would not recommend!

Today we visited, we were seated and asked to order food online (which is fine), we ordered, then waited almost 40mins to then be served with cold pizzas, and some awful excuse of Bolognaise. We visited on Wednesday evening in half term (was fairly quiet and much quieter than we saw at lunchtime). Due to covid security the restaurant is no longer a buffet and you choose the pizza or pasta which you want. All orders are online and you choose and pay on the app. Our pizzas were all good and even in the days of the buffet we probably only ate one pizzas worth of food ( just you had to choose one option - if there is a group and you agree you could always mix and match). Drinks were served in bottles and are not bottomless but you could always bring a water bottle. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Despite the change we still had a good meal.

We came here for lunch during scarefest on the 31st. It is no longer a buffet, so you can purchase either a whole 10” pizza (£10), a pasta portion (£5) or half a pizza on the kids menu (£5). They also had some sides, but no desserts. Drinks are 500ml bottles of fizzy pop costing around £2.50 each. You scan the QR code on the table and order + pay through your phone. We bought a pepperoni pizza and the tomato and Basil pasta. The bill came to £15 and we brought our own drinks (recommended). The pizza was really good, slightly over priced in my opinion but nice. The pasta wasn’t as good, but edible. Very similar to school canteen pasta. It was nice to sit down in the restaurant as it rained and we only waited 5mins due to the huge amount of seating that is in there. Only criticism is that the table was very sticky which wasn’t pleasant.

I loved this place as a buffet. The pizza is good quality and it's fun to choose a variety. The current take away set up is less fun and doesn't feel like as good value. If you are looking for gourmet food then perhaps Alton Towers isn't the place. However, if youre looking for something to help energise your active day and not having to worry if there is enough food then this restaurant is a pretty good start. Go online and pre book (even 20 minutes before you get to the restaurant) and its cheaper. Either way its a large restaurant where the pizza is made on mass but still delicious. The buffet area is large and plenty of access points so its not a case of queuing in a long line. The pizzas are piled up high so you are never waiting for a pizza as they never run out. Theres always several of each type at any one time and they just kkeep piling more on. The cheese is stringy and delicious. There are a couple of drink fountains for refills of the same drink available around the park and each side of the restaurant has a salad bar too. You pay a you enter so there are no issues with waiting to pay and considering its busy, staff do a good job to keep it clean and tidy. Despite it being a large restaurant with lots of seating, its extremely popular so my advice is get there for when it opens or outside of the lunch/dinner times as otherwise there can be a wait. They have a few toilets which to be honest aren't as clean and tidy as the rest of the facilities in the park but if you want a sit down and like pizza then this is an absolutely great restaurant and the one I go to every time. I have eaten at various others and whilst they are nice, this one represents the best value and provides the energy for the rest of the day. But maybe don't go on Oblivion straight after.

It was my first time to Alton Towers yesterday and it was my birthday so my friend and I decided to visit the theme park and after a while we obviously became hungry and looked on the map to see what we wanted and we were quite excited about a pizza and pasta buffet. When we got there we were greeted with a queue and a rather nice smell which gave us great hopes. We paid and were shown to a table and then decided to get our food.Basically they have pizzas sat out with fresh ones at the back piled on top of each other waiting to replace the older stuff when it’s gone or unwanted. The pizza at the front looked nowhere near as appetising as the front so I took my food from the back. Some of the pizzas had really bad toppings and way too much cheese that I couldn’t even notice if they had sauce on some slices, a steak pizza with two or three toppings on each slice? What is the point of that? There were only two pasta options so it isn’t really a pasta Buffet and more like a pizza one with pasta and salad as side dishes. The food itself tasted okay but it wasn’t anything to scream about. My friend went to the toilet whilst I was still eating and when she came back around 20 seconds later she wasn’t happy in the slightest I asked her what was the matter and she told me that there was only one toilet for men and women to share and when she went in there was excrement all over the back of the toilet and the seat as well as up the sanitation bin and of course the smell was horrendous. Other people were turning away from the facility and she decided to complain to a member of staff who didn’t seem to care or apologise and just said “oh right well I don’t know who’s meant to be cleaning it today.” My friend wasn’t happy about this and we were put off our food. If that is the attitude of the staff towards their public toilet what we do see and use then God forbid what the standard of the kitchens was like. (And from how I am feeling this morning it mustn’t be very good as I have had a sensitive stomach as well as nausea all day which has to be something to do with this food as I hadn’t had anything else)We also told a member of staff on the way out who insisted on laughing whilst looking away not wanting to meet our eyes as we told her how disgusting it was and that it needed to be cleaned as soon as possible. Think it’s shocking how the standards are in such a busy and popular place like Alton Towers are. We then had to walk quite a way after eating here to find a toilet seeing as we couldn’t use the one on the premises. Not too much of a problem for us but certainly would be for anyone with kids. Definitely wouldn’t come back to this establishment unless it was improved drastically with the quality and care of the food as well as the hygiene and for staff to be trained on how to give great customer service and not act like lazy teenagers.

Visited on a very wet & rainy day with our 3 year old. It was £17 (there abouts) each! Since when does a 3 year old eat £17 worth of pizza & pasta?!? Our toddler loves her food but that’s ridiculous & I’d rather have chewed my fingers than give in to this kind of daylight robbery... sorry, but I would. It was such poor weather too, we wanted a place to eat indoors with the little one but was told we could pop next door where pizza is sold by the slice but we would have to stand outside with it. Complete joke! No idea how special this pizza was or if the service was so unbelievably good that you really wouldn’t mind remortgaging your house for it... we didn’t stay to find out. Granted you expect to be fleeced at Alton Towers for food & refreshments but I think this is a bit much being fair. For £14pp, this was excellent value, pizzas are constantly coming out fresh. You also get free refills, the unlimited salad bar, ice cream bar, pasta and pizza. This was an excellent choice and affordable, it kept us full for the rest of the day.

I went to this restaurant because I'm a student a budget friendly Pizza and Pasta at a theme park is always the right choice; I went in, and told the person at the desk (Zak), that I was vegan, immediately, he said that they have vegan cheese and can make food specifically for me so that I would be able to eat it. He came over with the allergens booklet, asked me what I wanted to eat, and it was ready within 15 minutes and so, so tasty!

£14 for a pizza buffet may seem a lot, but you soon start to think you're getting your moneys worth. My brother recommended this place to us before we went and I am thankful. You can absolutely rinse them for that £14 with unlimited pizza, pasta, garlic bread, salad, soft drinks and ice cream! They have sauces for the savoury food and sweet food. They have a wide variety of pizzas, including vegetarian options, and the names of the pizzas are listed so there is no confusion. Whenever a pizza ran out, the staff were straight on the job replacing it. At one point, they had four pepperoni pizzas waiting in a queue. They were fresh and hot. There's nothing worst than being at a pizza hut buffet and the pizza you like running out with no quick replacement. I probably ended up having two and a half pizzas in total, with salad, pasta, ice cream, and four drinks. The only extra thing you need to pay for is alcohol. It's fair to say I felt stuffed afterwards, i'm just thankful it didn't come back up on the wickerman! Well worth the extra money and i'm going again whenever I return to Alton Towers next.

£42 for 2A and 2C but we got to sit down and ate plentifully. Arrived at midday and busy enough but not overwhelming. Nice greeting and shown to our table. Pizza and Pasta was nice. Not massive selection bu good enough and plenty of salad bits also. Ice cream after for the kids. Would actually return.

Quite possibly the best food offering within the park, and also one of the best I’ve had whilst visiting a theme park. Seated very quickly, buffet service very quick and pizzas/pasta all piping hot and a lot available at all times. Nice range of salad choices and delicious garlic breadsticks. You can even have free soft serve ice cream with a range of sauces. Highly recommend if visiting the park... is a bit pricey at £14 per adult, but you could certainly get your money’s worth.

Massive queue but worth it. A constant supply of fresh pizza, pasta and salad to choose from and ice cream for dessert. We all enjoyed it and for a place so busy it was kept very clean

Unlimited Pizza, Pasta and Salad. Great value, with another 20% off by showing our merlin annual pass. Good food, not the best pizza ever but on par with Pizza Hut. I think there is one of these in every Merlin Park.

The food was very good, I wouldn't say it was the best pizza ever but it was decent and well priced. There was a massive queue, being a Saturday night during Scarefest but that's not their fault. The staff were nice and helpful. The staff in the kitchen were fast to replenish what ran out. I loved the macaroni and cheese the best but I liked it all. Would likely return

What can I say ? Revolting pizza - the base was deep fat fried which has left me with severe indigestion 12 hours later. It all tasted the same although there were quite a few toppings to choose from. It used to be brilliant value for money but I feel once again Alton Towers have been cost cutting and sacrificed quality.

My partner and I visited during lunch hour (very busy) we didn’t wait long until we had a table, food was lovely and a good price, it was all explained to us as we sat down which was helpful. Everything was good, apart from the toilets, which there was a lack of and they had a foul smell coming from them (sewers), I felt sorry for the people eating directly next to them!

Apprehensive to go in at first as expected the food to be less than average but after waiting only two minutes they managed to conjure up a table for 5 which is an awkward number to seat. So top marks for finding a table quite quickly. Pleasant young waitress with a SMILE which can be unusual to find these days ! Kids mum is a vegan and no problem they cooked a vegan cheese pizza and brought it to the table which looked very nice and their mums are the only ones that m enjoyed it. The rest of pizzas not to forget the unlimited salad we’re tasty and we were all stuffed and waddled out looking to avoid any serious rides. If you have a premium pass then you get 20% off the bill so. Happy days!!!!!

Was visiting during Scarefest 2018 and we had to wait for a table to become free due to the volume of people within the park. I think we waited 5-10 minutes at most before we were seated. This was not an issue at all. The food is all you can eat buffet pasta and pizzas and also soft drinks for £13.50 each (Adult Price) you just pay first get a plate and just help yourself to as much as you can eat and you can keep going back for more. Great selection of soft drinks (Oasis, Diet Coke, Coke Zero, Regular Coke, Fanta) and for and extra £2 you can upgrade to alcoholic drinks. Not sure if that is unlimited but I can’t see it for obvious reason. The pizzas are cooked regular and never run out there is a great selection and even including Garlic Bread. The margarita pizza was one of the best I have ever tasted. Will be going back here when we next return to the park.

The pizza meal deal £13.50 includes all pizza, pasta, salad bar and soft drinks. The food was constantly being cooked and served, so the hot food was always fresh and piping hot. Decent salad selection and the soft drinks are included in the price. The best food I've had ever from a theme park.

Have been here before when visiting Alton Towers but this was the worst experience yet. On arrival we waiting until the server found us a table through her walkie talkie even though there were 2 free tables in front of her. We at the table and waited for the waiter to come over to take payment. We were ignored whilst he served 3 other tables which came in after us. I was even at the stage where I was waiving my credit card to catch his attention. When eventually he arrived he apologised as said he didn't see us !!!!! The pizza was good but the pasta bolognnaise was cold. At the drinks station the Oasis on both stations was giving out water rather than juice. I told the nearest waitress who didn't seem bothered, told me to put the cup on the side and take another cup saying she would refill it shortly - which I didn't see happen. I know they are busy with the amount of people coming and going, but service with a smile would be greatly appreciated. Very rude and not bothered with the general pubic at all

To be fair to the staff who work there, they are dealt with a difficult situation: a small restaurant in proportion to the amount of people who want to eat in there. You have to queue for a table, someone leaves, they clean the table quick, they sit you down and give you a plate in exchange for payment. Not much room it's so busy. Not many staff knew what was suitable for vegetarians but it was solved in the end. Eat as much as you like for your money and a salad bar for those wanting a light lunch.

The food is really good and for all you can eat and at a major theme park reasonably priced, however the service was terrible, there were numerous tables ready to be cleared but just left causing queues outside in the pouring rain, poor team work within the staff leaving one person to try and clean tables and then one person finding tables to seat customers simply not good enough and spoils what is a good place to eat with plenty of variety in pizza choice and a good selection of pasta and salad.

Who would have thought that here would literally be The best gluten free pizza? Staff very friendly and made me a whole vegetarian GF pizza. It tasted so good I thought it was ‘normal’ . For those of you GF people you know the feeling of chewing a cardboard-like biscuit with tomato masquerading as a pizza, then it’s worth going to Alton Towers just for this Pizza!

On a day trip where one of our party required Gluten free food we hadn't held out much hope of finding any within Alton Towers but we asked on the off chance and got a positive response. We were immediately found a table and a server named Chloe came straight away with a manual showing what was available with a Gluten free base. The order was taken and she advised that it would be a while whilst it was specially prepared and in the meantime she would personally prepare a salad to ensure no cross contamination would occur. Meal arrived separately and it was on a base better than we have had at more expensive outlets and tasted good. Obviously this is a busy "all you can eat" buffet but bearing that in mind Explorers was pretty good and as far as Gluten free is concerned very surprising.

Every time we visit Alton towers we eat here. Good value and good food. You have to pay first before you get cups and plates, which took a good 10 minutes and staff seemed to be ignoring us but apart from that it's worth a visit. Beware toilets are very limited so probably find another toilet before going here to eat.

£13.50 for as much pizza, pasta and salad as you can eat as well as refillable drink. Like most buffet places food sitting under heat lamps so not as warm as I would like my food to be. But as pizza goes they some nice varieties so that was a plus. Definitely a good place to go at the end of a long day of rides just before returning to the hotel.

Nice choice of pizzas and pasta, along with salad, and with it being all-you-can-eat, it was nice to be able to go back for seconds. Lovely talking to Julie too - thanks to all the chefs there, your lovely food kept us going for quite a long time! Definitely worth a visit :-)
