Disgusting! The Sunday lunch was drowned in horrid thick gravy which seemed to be there to try to cover the fact that there was little on the plate! One tiny spoonful of mash potato which was purée after the gravy, the Yorkshire was stale and we had to ask for spoons for the soup as we weren’t given them! The manager (blonde girl was too busy heading out with just eat orders to care about how badly the restaurant was being run! The atmosphere was dull and we were asked to move to accommodate a bigger table! Don’t recommend oli and joes Whickham at all!!

Tried three course sunday lunch, potato skins fine, roast beef for Partner and roast lamb for me, both meats were tough and couldn't cut with knife. Very poor. Mentioned to young waitress who said sorry. £2.95 for half pint water with lime!! Must get out more but not here again.

Have been coming here for years and normally the food is good and the service is good BUT I have no idea if this place has been taken over because last night the food was mediocre and the service was NOT good. We had booked a table for 7.30pm with a request for a specific table, which is normally no problem. When we got there our table had been given to someone else as the waiter had not checked the reservations. The waitress did apologise and we did get another table but the service did not improve as there seems to be a lot of new staff who seem not to be bothered about customers!! Maybe they are in the wrong job. When the food did arrive it was haphazardly thrown onto the table. One of the meals was totally wrong as they had ordered pizza and chicken turned up! The waitress was not bothered at all and no apology was forthcoming- the incorrect meal was taken away but my meal was left behind and by the time the correct pizza turned up I had almost finished my meal. When the bill came it was totally illegible and to be honest in this day and age you should get a itemised bill that you can actually read. Really disappointed as we usually have a nice night but we will not be returning any time soon as there are too many lovely places to eat and spend our money.

Haven't been here for years and I was shocked how tatty the place looked. Was given a table by the window and moved the table forward as I was too close to the table behind, only to find the wall was holding up the table! The tiles were chipped and missing from the wall and the carpet had seen better days. Was more like a food court café than a restaurant. No atmosphere. My friend ordered a coke which sat on the bar for over 10 minutes until she asked again if she could have it. Service was very poor. We got the 3 course lunch. Potato skins were ok but very small portion! I had lasagna, again, was just ok. Had coffee to finish and had to ask for another cup as it was stone cold. Sad to see this place in decline as the one in Sunniside is lovely. Don't think I'd go again. Just seems like somewhere to take the kids as an alternative to MacDonald, cheap but not very cheerful.

Not a great experience....cold room upstairs...no atmosphere....really scruffy. We were out for a birthday...did not feel special. House red wine the worst ive ever had. Service poor. Lad serving looked like he would rather be anywhere else. Kept on bringing other peoples orders to our table. Forgot one of our meals. Food really basic and not good value for money. There are so many better places to spend your money.

The restaurant only had a few other people in it at 8pm, there was no atmosphere, no music. Staff were not very welcoming. We ordered house wine, and it tasted awful but at £18 I asked if we could change it and staff were happy to do this. I had Haddock risotto and it was presented in a white bowl, white food, no garnish and was bland. My partner had the chicken peppercorn which he said was ok. We ordered a take out pizza - which when we paid, we left without as it was being cooked. Thought staff could have reminded us. We went back and got it though. Disappointing experience - service and food could be better.

We had booked a table for 6 people for dinner (with plenty of notice) for a very special family get together - my 83 year old dad had driven 6 hours to get to us. When we arrived there was a complete lack of awareness of our booking. The staff were clueless and we were told that one of the waitresses had ‘accidentally’ given our table away. There was no table left available for us. I questioned how this could have happened as I’d booked the table. The response was appalling. We were told we could sit upstairs (in a massive empty room on our own) and that ‘well, it’s happened now’. So incredibly rude. Was on the verge of walking out and going home for a takeaway when one of the waitresses thought to move 2 lads from a table for 6 onto a recently vacated table for 2 to allow us to sit down. If it hadn’t been for the fact that I had my dad with me I wouldn’t have stayed. Food was bog standard cheap and cheerful. This place clearly can’t be bothered and I won’t ever again.

Went here for friends retirement. The waitress just seemed not to like people! We felt she had quite an angry attitude the whole way through the meal. Food was really nice, but service and feeling of friendliness was really lacking which was a shame. Wouldn’t visit again.

visited on monday 12th december with 4 friends the food was lovely and the staff were brilliant nothing too much trouble and plenty of food we all totally enjoyed our visit and we were offered any dessert from menu even the ones not included in the special menu which was a real bonus

Nice place staff very helpful and polite bless them they ran up & down stairs all night for us, only dilemma was they need a new chef as the food was very bland!! Example garlic bread didn’t have any taste of GARLIC, Pizza chicken Kiev just tasted of chicken guess what no garlic on it!! I want be visiting again unless they improve the food!!!

My son had muscles to start and they were disgusting. The rest of the starters were OK. The main were disappointing. Didn't stay for desert. Very disappointing

Had a lovely night with friends, first time I've been here and will definately be back. The food was lovely, we did the evening 3 course special menu, so very good food for the price. I did see a steak come out and it looked lovely 😊. The staff were lovely and friendly and very attentive. We were last in the restaurant as were waiting for our lifts but we never felt we were in the way. Thank you, see you again soon xxx

Family night out for a birthday. Great night out with fantastic food. I had Pollo fish and feather. Delicious chicken breast tender, juicy and perfectly cooked, the prawns where huge and perfect and the sauce was tasty and delicious. Hubby had the chicken crema cooked perfectly and the pasta dishes where tasty and huge portions. Been to another branch and not disappointed by either. Just wish they were closer a 250+ one way drive is a bit far for a night out. Lovely staff and a nice bustling cheery atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a great quality meal. Minor issues, firstly card machine wasn’t working and we weren’t told before we ordered I was only aware as there was a small blackboard sign at the front of the restaurant. Secondly and nothing they can do much about it - parking or lack of.

just as the title states we had a great meal and the staff were lovely very happy, chatty and welcoming. The steak was amazing, melt in the mouth with a beautiful chocolate brownie for dessert

Had a lovely meal with family. Great atmosphere and the service from waiter Liam was fantastic, he has a cracking sense of humour! We will definitely be back.

Very disappointed that they add a £2 charges for every dish for people with celiac disease they do not include this on the menu or inform you when booking or ordering. This is a hidden charge which is only shown on the bill. When queried told they agree but the owner instructed the additional cost. They do not charge for anyone with a different health problem. I asked if I could do 1/2 and 1/2 and was told yes not told charge 2 times so £4 as cost each item. They could not do a starter other than salad or garlic bread guess what garlic bread starter £2 additional cost. Food was lovely just stuck in throught when bill arrived. Glad only one of party of 8 needed gluten free. Not sure if this is only Whickham policy as never been charged at my local one.

Takeaway sunday dinners during lockdown excellent chicken beef or lamb with plenty of everything and worth the price!

Pizza here was good but the pasta portions were small and way over salted. The desserts at just short of a fiver were small too. I don,t usually do desserts as I don,t eat chocolate but the blue bubblegum one sounded good. I checked that there was no chocolate on it and was told there would be none. It came dusted with cocoa powder and my very brown napkin didn't even give the waitress a clue that my food was far from ok. I hope they don't put crushed nuts on diners with allergies food.

We had a lovely meal last night there was 8 of us 6 adults and 2 children the meal was lovely and the staff were really nice even kept our young Grandson entertained

Visited with my family the food was delicious the service was excellent the staf were friendly everything was cooked to perfection, very good experience.

Vivir solo y preparar cada comida y cada taza de té para mí fue un poco miserable durante el encierro, pero una entrega de comida deliciosa cada 10 días más o menos me mantuvo atravesando la "crisis del covid".Muchas gracias Oli y Joes, sus comidas siempre fueron a tiempo, siempre calientes y siempre deliciosas.

Reservé una mesa para el almuerzo hoy. Al leer el menú nos dimos cuenta de que el 'especial' de la hora del almuerzo había subido un 21% (a pesar de que hay una reducción del gobierno al restaurante en su factura de IVA). ¿Posiblemente esté intentando recuperar algunos ingresos perdidos durante el cierre? La comida fue bastante agradable, aunque parecía haber mucha más salsa y mucho menos lasaña en el plato.

Para celebrar el cumpleaños del encierro pedimos pasta y pizzas para la entrega. Kerry tomó el pedido y fue agradable. La comida llegó rápidamente y todavía estaba caliente. Las pieles de papa no viajaron muy bien y estaban empapadas y grasosas y una de las pizzas estaba mal, pero todo lo demás estaba bien. La comida tenía un precio razonable y la entrega era gratuita. Ordenaría de nuevo.

Ordered from the special menu during lockdown. Good price pizzas for family of 4, with free delivery. Pizzas were delicious and the toppings were tasty and plentiful. Good service and quick delivery. Would recommend!

Always enjoy the food in here but think the tables are too close together for my liking. As we went in February for Valentine's Day it was weird sitting so close. But as always, the food was excellent and the staff were friendly and helpful.

First visit to the Whickham Ollie and joes we normally go to the Sunniside one but this one was easier for people to walk to. We all had starters various ones no complaints at all. I opted for pizza it was absolutely lovely other guests had pasta, steaks, Kiev s etc all cooked perfectly no complaints again. Staff were attentive and friendly. No complaints at all , all in all it was a lovely evening. I still prefer Sunniside oli & joes though even though everything was faultless.

Visited at lunch time, 1ish. Only people in there. Ordered 2 starters, 1 prawn, 1 squid, with different descriptions of sauce on the menu. Starters came, both had the ezact same sauce. No difference at all. Was ok but quite heavy.Mains were mussels in tomato and chilli and chicken milanese. Mussels were alright but sauce was sweat, no chilli. Milanese chicken was lovely but spaghetti served with it was overcooked with an overly sweet tomato sauce.

Las comidas principales fueron el pollo Diane, el pollo stroganoff, la pizza y el risotto de gambas y salmón en el tablero de especialidades.Gran fiesta en el piso de arriba, así que un pequeño retraso en la comida, pero cuando llegó, todo estuvo bien. 60 por 4 incluyendo propina así que a un precio bastante razonable.

The positives from our visit: great tasting food; great relaxed atmosphere and relatively easy parking for a lunch time. I had to have the Sirloin steak – with chips and vegetables so that I could compare it to other restaurants. The food came piping hot - to the point that I had to drink some of my orange juice to cool it a bit. That’s how it should be. The steak was nicely cooked – but it did not have the chargrill taste I love - but it was not bad…could be better. The mushrooms were delicious and the chips were nice too. I ended with sticky toffee pudding, which was surprisingly un-sickly and nice for being so. But the toffee sauce did taste of condensed milk – which I love – but I expected something more “special” in taste. Overall – the taste was very exceptional; quality rustic cooking and hearty; I felt full afterwards. The Minestrone soup starter was fantastic.

We had our Sunday Lunch here for the first time, we were very impressed with the food & indeed its menu, not only Sunday Lunch but lots of choice too suit all.

Nuestra mesa estaba reservada para las 7 pm del sábado pasado por la noche y estaba ocupado. Los pedidos se tomaron con bastante rapidez y 3 entrantes llegaron poco después. 3 de nosotros tuvimos pizza, una pasta. Preguntado por no tener ajo en mi pizza, había mucho en el plato de pasta, el esposo dijo que era bueno. ¡No tenía espacio para nada más! Entramos y salimos en 50 minutos, pero eso estuvo bien. Había mucha variedad en el menú y parecía un precio razonable. Sin quejas .

Tenía la oferta de tres platos para el almuerzo y fue muy bueno. Sólo las opciones de un menú básico, pero todavía hay mucho para elegir. Bruschettta estaba bien, la pasta al forno era deliciosa y luego helado. Un buen almuerzo abundante y muy barato. Sin duda volveremos la próxima vez que visite a mi familia en Whickham

Have been to this place in the past when it was called Santanas. Vowed I would never go back then, but thought give it a try different name. A big mistake, my grandsons pizza with salami was like shoe leather. My wife's pizza was only half eaten and my bacon carbonara, guess spot the bacon and not at all nice. The coffee was ok. Probably the worst meal we have had in a long time.

Great welcome with brilliant polite waiters and food amazing as always great value for money during happy hour. Had skins and bresetta to start with pizza, lasagne and carbonara for mains. For desert some of the best ever ice cream

Just wanted to say a huge thank you to Ash and all the staff at Oli & Joe’s on Saturday for catering for a huge party for the boys football ⚽️ doo. 3 course meal at such a cheap price it was unbelievable and the food was top notch with a large variety. I had potato skins with dips and salad to start, then Turkey dinner with all the trimmings and finally ice cream to finish. Absolute bargain and the Turkey was lovely . Great job will definitely be back guys thank you

Como familia a menudo comemos en Oli y Joes en Whickham. El personal del restaurante es muy acogedor y está dispuesto a hacer un esfuerzo adicional para satisfacer las necesidades de los clientes. Visitamos este lugar cada pocos meses, ya que es agradable y barato y la comida siempre es buena. La hora feliz es genial, y muy barata. La comida siempre es fabulosa y el personal es siempre muy amable. el único inconveniente es en los momentos de mayor actividad cuando las mesas están demasiado cerca unas de otras, por lo que no hay mucha privacidad. Pero aparte de eso, muy bonito.

Lunchtime menu £4.50 for 3 courses including most pasta or pizza dishes off the menu? That's almost sandwich meal deal prices. Crazy. But good. Pizza was great with fresh dough, and freshly baked. Service good too. Recommended.

Este tiene que ser el mejor restaurante de valor que he asistido. Si digo que nueve de nosotros estábamos bien alimentados. . . Estoy hablando de 3 cursos. . . por solo 77 tal vez lo aprecies. OK, cuatro de ese grupo eran niños que disfrutaban de su menú especial (pizza / pasta y helado de crema) pero el resto de nosotros nos complació (solo uno tenía una bebida alcohólica). Comí la pasta Roma (pollo en champiñones y salsa de tomate) Sra. T Tenía un risotto de mariscos que ella dijo que era el mejor que había tenido nunca. Si este restaurante estuviera más al sur, nunca llegaría. No puedo entender la economía, había un montón de personal atento, no se les puede pagar mucho menos que en otros lugares, los ingredientes no pueden ser mucho más baratos. ¿Cómo es que esta cadena puede ofrecer un buen valor de craqueo?

Arrived during busy lunch we were seated no problem, starter came out almost instantly and was really nicely presented. Main course came out just as quick, lovely big portions. Staff were really friendly. Great reasonably priced set meal. Would return :)

I can't get over the prices!! Such amazing value for money and brilliant food. The special set menus are great as the price is so good and you can still basically order from the main menu :) staff are friendly and polite, the restaurant and toilets are clean. Would very much recommend.

I visited several times over that last week, not through any lack of choice,but the welcome and food options were really good, attentive friendly staff. On every visit despite being a lone diner, my needs were taken care of, not rushed or hidden away in a corner. the food was well cooked and surrounded as I was by couples, friends, and families everyone seemed happy, with their choices of food and drink. I have been in Whickham frequently over the last few years, and have noticed Oli and Joe's but not had the opportunity to eat. Well that was a mistake that I wont be making in future. Excellent food, service and prices...........Thank you for your welcome...........

Went here with 5 members of my family for Sunday Lunch and i was not disappointed. To say this is an Italian restaurant they do a fabulous 3 course lunch on Sunday along with all the usual Italian dishes. I had roast lamb with all the trimmings and it was great. I will definitely go back to Oli and Joe's thenext time i am in the North East

This place is ideally located on Whickham main street, the initial greeting was ok and we were shown to a table quickly. Our waiter was ok without being memorable. The menu is a pretty standard Italian fare and was of decent quality. The pricing seemed to be in line with other local restaurants. I'm not sure it lived up to it's previous reputation under the previous ownership, but, nonetheless, it was fine. The main problem with most venues in Whickham is parking.

Called in for the first time. Don’t like restaurant chains but I wanted to try this restaurant as like to keep an open mind. Totally surprised. All homemade food. Really tasty. We had 2 courses with drinks and could not get over how reasonable the bill was and it was not even happy hour. Nice atmosphere, busy restaurant with a nice buzz. We were going to go into Newcastle for food but really happy we tried here. We will definitely come back and would recommend it. We had pizzas which were as good as anywhere else we have had them. Definitely give this place a try like us you could be pleasantly surprised.

Visited with the over 50s group from Hillsong Church Newcastle. We had the upstairs function room and were impressed with the the food, the cost and the excellent service. Thank you Oli & Joes Whickham team we will be back!

Spur of the moment choice. On the front street in Whickham. Called in on a Saturday evening. No booking but accommodated immediately. Good choice of typical Italian dishes ( pizzas, pastas, risottos, meat dishes). Wine menu had plenty of choice too Staff friendly and the chef adapted a dish to accommodate a food intolerance I have. Reasonably priced. Nice atmosphere. Good first impression.

We were served by Phil, very chatty and helpful. Food was exceptional and for a starter & mains for two, along with a glass of wine and a coke, also water the total bill was less than £20! Best Gluten Free pizza, looked very like the real thing and at 12 inches was amazing as normally GF pizza bases are 9 inches so very impressed, definitely go back!

Had the scallops would totally recommend this dish. Staff so friendly especially the blonde girl behind the bar. Compliments to the chef. Thank you it’s my new favourite place. See you soon.

The food here is really good, traditional Italian grub - pasta is especially good. It is always popular and sometimes it can feel a little crowded so, depending on who you are, I'd perhaps go a little later in the evening to avoid the rush. The rush is caused by the amazingly priced lunch special menu though, so I'd recommend you give that a go if you want a taste of Italy for a really good price but don't mind a full restaurant. The service was good and the staff were attentive.

I used to love this place before they changed the name from Santana's and the previous manager left. I now find it has gone down a bit lately. To be charged £2.75 for a pint of orange cordial and soda well over on the top. What's the point of a happy hour if your being ripped off with the drinks. The amount off food has gone down. I had a pasta and asked for no chilli. It came with chilli so I couldn't eat very much. I told the waitress and she said she would tell the chef?? What kind of service is that. Didn't offer to replace or take it off the bill. The service has gone down hill. You wait ages for each course or for them to take the plates away. Won't be going again any time soon.

Food was absolutely beautiful. However service was not so good. We asked for no ice in drink and received ice.

We took friends before Christmas and all had Christmas lunch which was most enjoyable. My husband and I often call in around 4pm for the 3 course special at £4.50 really good value for money. On entering the restaurant you are shown to a table, if there are a few vacant tables they will ask where you would like to sit. A waiter comes immediately with the menu and asks if you would like a drink. The food and service have always been excellent, service with a smile and very courteous.

When visiting friends in the area we were told to give this restaurant a try. We were very pleased with our meal. It was good food at reasonable prices.

Second time at Oli & Joes. Having enjoyed a previous visit we decided to come here for our Christmas night out. Enjoyed the Christmas Specials menu. Members of our party had a variety of the choices on offer and all were very good. Certainly recommend this place. Staff also very good.

They must have bought a job lot of bland red sauce that was poured over a lump of microwaved lasagne and a sloppy rice dish that purported to be a risotto. Interestly the garlic prawns tasted like the rissoto. The house wine was warm and possibly watered down. We could not finish anything. Recommend going to Morrisons for a ready meal next time.

Popped in for lunch on a week day, the restaurant was really quiet.

Been here five years ago was lovley then. And do you no what still is . Greeting on door was nice an casual shown a table . Drinks orderd got straight away. Nice menue big party arrived just after us so orderd straight away. Soup was so tasty asked if I wanted bread normally it comes along with soup. Meal was tasty an hot . On leaving got a nice good bye off two ladies . Would go back but there's a lot of competition out there

First visit since its new name. Had my usual amatriciana penne for lunch, still tastes amazing and staff were very friendly too! Quite surprised by the other bad reviews actually. When I got there it was full so I decided I'll take my lunch away, staff were happy to put my order through, about 5-10 minutes wait (and some chats with the staff in between their serving and kitchen runs) then voila my lunch was ready.Did I mention they're very good value for money too? Yes go have a try!

Booked here by chance , read the poor reviews on our way and thought we had made a mistake booking here . It was a really busy Thursday Teatime . Food was really good , piping hot and empty plates speak for themselves most of the staff were pleasant enough even though reviews say differently . We will be back it's a lovely place . Well done .

Went for Sunday lunch 3 courses today after taking order received 3 drinks asked for a jug of hot water for baby's bottles and another drink !! after having to explain a tiny ice cream bowl wouldn't work to heat bottle up the confused waitress came back with a wine cooler filled with Luke warm water gave up on waiting for other drink ordered . Then waited 15 -20 mins to order 3rd course we gave up and eventually walked to leave /pay having no 3rd course which we didn't get !! We were not asked how was your meal etc just given the bill I told the girl the service was disgusting and we would not be coming back the other waitress was straight over to clear the table pity she couldn't of been more attentive to our needs

Regular visitors to what was Santana and little has really changed. Quality of the food for the price paid is fine and the service was OK from the female members of staff. The male member of staff on our visit on the evening of 30/08/2017 was frankly awkward and ignorant.

Have been here several times in the past first time since change of ownership on 19/8/17 the service was poor waited quite a while for the food to arrive, there was a function going on upstairs which was causing the delay for everyone else. Will be giving it a wide berth from now on.

My friend and I went for tea as a birthday treat for me and decided to try this restaurant! The food was lovely but the service was appauling! There wasn't hardly a smile on any face, no was your meal OK and we wanted desert we waited ages for someone to come and ask if we wanted anything else with staff passing numerous times and nothing! Gave in in the end and really should have just walked out! No do you want the bill nothing! We are not demanding people but a is everything alright would be nice! Will not be recommending to anyone and will not be going again! Cheer up guys even if your having a bad day it doesn't take much!!!!

Called in as I was in Whickham with friends and decided to give oil and joes a try and we were glad we did as it was a really nice lunch we opted for the happy hour menu and all foods were nice hot and tastyWould defiantly recommend this cosy ItaliansThe staff were attentitive and proffecional and happy to serve

Unable to park outside but plenty of village parking at cheap rates. 3 courses for £4.50 special also specials at evening and weekendsushe. Easy access foe wheelchairs although toilets are upstairs. Prawn cocktail with a decent serving of prawns although had to ask for bread as an extra. Potato skins, tasty with mayonnaise dip. Bruschetta with tomatoes, tasty. Seafood pizza very nice as was the chicken Kiev. Sea bass portion small so wouldn't any one with a big appetite to order it. Chips very nice. As were cheesy chips. Strawberries and cream ok but this was 3rd choice due to no Tiramisu or cheesecake. This was at 2.30 in the afternoon and no delivery till following day. (Bad ordering) for items that generally have a longish life and usually popular. So 4 went without dessert. Fudge cake heated in microwave was rock hard. No complaints with crunchy Poe or sticky toffee pudding. Service very good and girls very friendly. Would defo go back as at least I know what to order in future.

First time I've been here since it became Oli & Joes and I wasn't impressed at all. Two stars only because the staff were nice and it was so cheap.However, you go to a restaurant to eat and on this front O&J's was a huge let down. I had a 'pizza roma'. The whole pizza only had about 5 pieces of pepperoni on it and looked extremely greasy. When I cut into it the base was very soggy and the toppings were slimy - and it wasn't anywhere near hot.I certainly won't be returning. It's only good value if you like the food, and I'm afraid I don't!

My first visit here & my last the worst supposedly Italian food I have tasted pushed into a room that still have snowmen , snow flakes etc attached to the mirror and this is July.Food very very poor reflected by service waiter never once smiled , just interrupted conversations leaning over and not asking if was ok to place plates etc on table , left cutlery on table to help ourselves , and food I think Iceland could of done better job , very poor

We are regulars at Oli and Joes and had our usual decent meal the other evening, And as usual was very cost effective.3x three course meals, bottle of wine, pint of Peroni and a large soft drink. Excellent value at £45 However we have noticed a changes of staff recently, and would request the new staff that they smile a bit whilst serving? There is nothing better to add to the atmosphere than cheerful service.

Visited this restaurant on Saturday with 10 family members, it was great service and if your looking for a cheap meal this is the place to go!! Food is quick and good quality! I did ask for my steak to be medium and it was well done but it was still really good. Highly recommend this place and they can handle a big party.

This has to go down as one of the worst meals I have ever had to pay for. I would not recommend this restaurant and will not return. The staff were pleasant and I did not have to pay for my main course which I complained about but would of rather had enjoyed it and paid for it.Microwave food at its best! If you can't cook a pizza your in the wrong job.

I booked a table for 5 for 6pm we were promptly attended to, drinks arrived quickly then we had a few more minutes to peruse the menu before the food order was taken, the food arrived tasty and hot also gave us a free large thin crust pizza, main courses arrived again very tasty and hot the food was all Italian except a plain roast chicken which was disappointing dry with no veg just a salad, we had a couple of desserts, 6 soft drinks 3 large red wines bill came to just under £89, restaurant is a bit squashed table wise, toilet for disabled is right behind counter where desserts are plated with only a sliding door between, parking is a bit of a bind, there isn't any so be prepared to walk to and from restaurant, there are a few steps so if you have poor mobility be aware, would return again food and staff good.

First used this place when it was called Santana's a couple of years ago, the bill was out by about £25 !!!!! Vowed not to go back. Went back last year bill wrong again only by 10p.Now it has changed names to Oli and Joes so I thought give it another go, guess bill wrong again to the tune of £5 ( only a little mistake by the girl on the till ) The food was not great a poor pizza will never go back. By the way same girl on the till three times.

Often come to this restaurant as the value for money is excellent and the food is really good. Would highly recommend. The happy hour menu has a good selection

Have been here several times and each time I have always felt that the staff can come across as quite rude and bad manneredAsked for some water during our meal and was looked at as if I had said an insult, then water was brought over and plonked on the table with no words spoken - just one exampleFood was delicious as usual but is let down by some of the staff's bad attitude

The service and food here on Saturday was outstanding! Great value for money and a lovely atmosphere too. Keep doing what you do!

I have been here for food a number of times with my family. We have always had a pleasant visit and the food has always been tasty.

Three course lunch for 4.75 with full size portions and good selection of specials for slightly extra cost also very reasonable dinner prices also

This is a pleasant restaurant in the village of Whickham close to the Metrocentre.We arrived at 8pm, the restaurant was very presentable even after being open since lunchtime. Our table had fresh table settings, we sat down and we were offered drinks straight away. These drinks prices were very reasonable and we thought the house red wine was exceptional value. We also thought that all the meals prices were very good value, some starters were from £3.95 and mains started from under £6. Our starters were well prepared, tasty and substantial. Likewise all main courses were enjoyed by everybody in the party. Our only suggestion was that the risotto rice on the mains was "heavy" and the chef should reflect on how he can achieve a much lighter consistency. All in all a good evening enjoyed by all....we will go back!

Group of 6 of us went for dinner at Santanas, great tasty food at reasonable prices. The desserts were amazing too would highly recommend.

On whickham high street - small and friendly reasonably priced Italian restaurant . Good wide ranging menu suitable for all ages. Staff very accommodating and will help with celebrations such as birthdays etc.
