The best restaurants serving Italian food in England

Food great but it was like eating in a school canteen, there was a group of about 30 school children there and you could not actually have a conversation due to the noise levels so it really ruined our evening. This is our nearest Ask Italian but wouldn't risk it again so would prefer to drive further for our next visit to ensure we don’t have the same experience

Having visited Prezzo in the past we were expecting something good.especially with our friends visiting and had never been to Salford Quays before . I had pasta in a cream sauce with mushroom and chicken ,tasteless had to add chilli oil ,also I know aldente is the way but this was more than it should been .One starter brioche 4 small fingers very average over priced .My husband had a disappointing pizza burnt around the edges just average .Our friends had ravioli with goats cheese and lots and lots of garden peas which covered the dish and a meat dish with mashed potatoes they said they enjoyed it but I think they were just being kind .

They squeezed us 4 in for the Saturday night at short notice, and were great to us. Service impeccable. I was particularly impressed with the allergies knowledge. The food was terrific too.

The manager and the team were great today. The manager was very helpful and informative regarding the new Pizza Express App and guided us towards some great rewards which got us to try some starters we'd not normally have (and they were delicious!).

On a cold March evening us 2 blokes were looking for a good meal. We found this place and had a fantastic time. There was only us and another couple in all evening from what I could see, but the waitress was very helpful and attentive and the food was SUPERB. We shared a fishy starter, had a bottle of the house red and then my penne with bacon and mushrooms was absolutely heavenly. Highly recommended.

Lovely friendly staff. Breakfast vegan option available. Tasty food. Dog friendly for well behaved dogs.

Fácil aparcamiento en la parte trasera, cálidamente recibido por los propietarios y todos comentaron lo fresca y sabrosa que era su comida. Gran valor y sin duda volveremos - gracias por cuidar de nosotros!

I visited this Italian restaurant today and was really looking forward to my meal. I ordered the rump steak from the set menu, and was told it would be around 8oz. What I actually got was really disappointing – it looked more like a thin minute steak and was completely drowned in sauce. I had to ask if they had given me the correct dish it was so misleading! It definitely wasn’t what I was expecting, and the quality just wasn’t great. Felt a bit let down as it didn’t match the description at all. Food didn’t taste fresh or home cooked. The staff were friendly enough, but unfortunately the food didn’t live up to it.

Ginos spaghetti house was an unexpected, delicious surprise. The food was incredible, even better than what we had in Italy and the service impeccable. It is deceptively low key looking from the outside but don't let that fool you. This restaurant really hit the mark with food and service. Thank you.

My wife is a Vegan.So she was delighted to see a separate Vegetarian and Vegan menu with lots of choice. Except, of course, that most things were vegetarian not Vegan. And a lot of the Vegan options included fake meat.Nothing wrong with that ...except my wife's a Vegan because she doesn't like the taste of meat! There was only one pizza without fake meat..and that was a Vegan Margarita! Boring. And they couldn't even add Mushrooms because all their mushrooms are pre buttered. Here's the good bit of the story! The manager was an absolute sweetheart. He explained why the Vegan choice was limited and then offered to put any vegetables they had available on the pizza. Then the Vegan chef sacrificed some of his personal Mushrooms, so she got a Mushroom and vegetable pizza, which was delicious! ( my lasagne was fab and the Vegan garlic bread was lovely!) Lovely food and top notch service..so I can recommend Prezzos. But a little flexibility from the top might be helpful here...a selection of untainted vegetables to top a pizza should be very easy to supply.

It is our go to spot for meals, caters for my step mums allergies (Plenty of GF options). The food is stunning, I could eat everyday & Giovanni is one of the nicest people & takes good care of the customers. P.S tiramisu is a MUST

Olivia was a fantastic waiter! Great food, spices adapted to our taste. Prompt service. Polite, respectful. Too much pepper on Carbonara, but feedback to chefs. Hopefully just a one off mistake.

Visited many times before lockdown. Decided to visit after an afternoon show at the Grand. This visit very poor. 4 of us.1 Starter of bread took 45 minutes to arrive. Mains 90 minutes. Asked what was happening. Short staffed. The Take Away people were in and out of the door whilst we were sat there twiddling our thumbs. Food was ok when it arrived. The waitress was apologetic and sorted a bottle of wine on the house. Sorry guys but that’s the last time we will be visiting.

Deshonesta. Me engañaron haciéndome pagar la cuenta dos veces, diciéndome que la primera vez falló el pago, y no me dieron ningún reembolso, incluso me dieron un número de celular falso para contactarlos. Además, había una fiesta privada arriba y la mitad del menú no estaba disponible. Mal. No se recomienda.
