Olivia was a fantastic waiter! Great food, spices adapted to our taste. Prompt service. Polite, respectful. Too much pepper on Carbonara, but feedback to chefs. Hopefully just a one off mistake.

Overall all the dishes failed to deliver for the price being charged. Portion sizes were tiny and we all left still feeling hungry. You can make better pasta at home with supermarket ready made sauces. We asked for room temperature water but was told all the water is kept in the fridge. At the end of the meal we were told there is an optional 10% service charge but this had already been added to the bill so it was embarrassing to tell the young waiter in front of other customers that we didn't want to tip for the standard service that was provided. Most restaurants provide a bill and you can choose the amount to tip when paying. For our table we ended up paying over £10 for the tip which we didn't think was fair or earned. The restaurant clearly doesn't listen to the feedback reviews left as others have said the exact same thing before.

A friend and I visited on a Monday lunchtime. We took advantage of the 2 course lunch offer and upgraded it to include a glass of wine. The food was very good especially the lasagne that was served piping hot. Attentive service.

Visited Wildwood Market Harborough for a late celebration meal with family to catch up for birthdays and other events (party of nine) We love the atmosphere in the MH store as it often busy but the staff make everybody welcome and are efficient Food and drinks ordered and starters arrived within ten minutes (Bruschetta, Tiger Prawns, Garlic Breads) My Bruschetta arrived with an allergy flag as I didn’t want the Pesto Mains arrived promptly and beautifully cooked and presented (Steaks, Fish, Pasta, Pizzas) Frequent drinks arrived and delicious deserts with coffee to finish Table service from Alex was perfect thank you and made for a perfect evening, didn’t feel rushed at any point With a bill of £320 for 9 persons the 10% service charge £32 was well deserved We will return again soon

Nice impromptu lunch. Fries, calamari (cooked to perfection), pizza, pasta (al dente), and cheesecake (nicely rich). Everything was nicely flavoured and delicious. The service was very good. Thanks for a nice lunch.

Tasty food, reasonable prices. The waiter was very friendly and gave us great service. One meal came and was accidentally the wrong order but straight away it was taken and replaced with the correct order. The toilets are very clean. Seating area upstairs was nice, never been upstairs before. Recommend for families, couples, groups, there’s something for everyone

Interior is lovely -staff very pleasant. Food is very poor. Burger which looked like it came out the freezer. Steak was very poor and badly cooked. Just feels the food is way short of the price tag. We wouldn’t return again

Food poisoning on my Birthday!!!! This restaurant has gone spiral down after Pandemic. I had lasagne for dinner and within two hours I experienced the sickest time of my life on the evening of my Birthday. I have reported the issue day after, but absolutely no help, support, compensation offer,...nothing from the young Italian manager. The response I got was few word of total denial and untruthful comment of investigation of their food. I can not wait to see this branch close down in this town. Such a shame,....

Our first time in MH and someone in a shop recommended this restaurant. Have to say everything was perfect. Husband had carbonara with chicken and I had a cob salad. Delicious. Then the other half had a brownie with icecream and honeycomb. I had a small taster and it was so tasty. The staff were pleasant and we may drive over for dinner one night, even tho quite a distance. Excellent.

This restaurant is ideal for a light lunch with friends. We have been before and the selection of food, the quality and the service are always very good. The ambience of the dining area is very pleasant and it is a quality venue.

My friend took me here for lunch for my birthday. It's very tastefully decorated. The food was amazing and the desert the best I have had in a very long time. Service was good too. Spotlessly clean and staff were lovely.

A lovely little restaurant on the High Street. Well cooked and tasty meals served with a friendly smile. We saw a vast range of ages in the restaurant and they clearly cater for all ages. Well lit and comfy, would definitely recommend.

I love Wildwood, it’s by far my favourite of the chain restaurants in Market Harborough. Went with my husband last night and was very pleased to be back. We ordered a Beyond Meat burger with fries, and a Primavera pizza, and shared both - absolutely gorgeous food. Good social distancing measures in place, including a QR code for track and trace which brings the menu up in your phone, and friendly staff.

In order to get a discount on a lunch time meal I had to go on-line and get a voucher. Okay so you may say nothing unusual in that but there are other restaurants in town serving better food where they lunch time discounts (2 for the price of one for example) without the faff of having to get vouchers.Then on entry a rather poorly dressed waiter said to my family 'You guys want a table?' well of course we did and some of us were female - we were not all guys and not in America. When I go out for lunch I do expect a degree of respect. The meal was okayish but nothing special - there is far better food served elsewhere in town.The morakl is if you want to be treated well and want good food prepared from scratch in the restaurants own kitchen avoid the chains.

Very nice pizza and really good service. Visited on a Tuesday, ordered very quickly, service with a smile. Pizza was topped with a generous helping on various meats.

We we’re a little late getting to Harborough today for our breakfast at Enigma, so we decided to have a look in the shops and do lunch instead.12pm and we walked into Wildwood - we were greeted with big smiles and were given a table near the front of the restaurant.The menu is perfect! Just enough to chose from and all well priced.My steak was perfectly cooked followed by a huge Sundae! In January we visited Market Harborough in a hope that walking around would get rid of our Christmas eating spree. All went well until we found Wildwood and we drawn in to the delicious Italian menu. Did we do the right thing? My head said no but my stomach was in rapsody. The staff very friendly the food was was quickly delivered and every morsal of food was delicious. The cost of the meal was good, 2 courses for 3 people incuding drinks came to £70 however on Monday and Tuesday lunch you can get a password from the Wildwood Company on line which gives 50% off, food only.

Great friendly staff who are very attentive. Found it odd that the children's menu is still Christmas themed as well as all the staff still wearing their Christmas uniform. It didn't stop us enjoying ourselves but did create confusion especially with the children's menu as we ordered the Christmas turkey burger, to be told it was actually beef. This was followed by the waiter coming back and asking if we wanted beef or turkey.

So we have been here a few times with a large booking. The food is good, service is good. but waiting an hour for food is unacceptable. It's not a great place to take kids if they are hungry and want to eat within 20 minutes. They need to up their game, as we won't be going again.

We visited here on a Sunday evening, our mains were left on the kitchen side for over 10 mins, when my main arrived it was completely burnt and just disguised with cheese! I then told the waiter who then got me another burger by then my husband had already finished eating so wasn’t a great experience! There are much better restaurants to visit in Market Harborough! On a side note it felt like the chefs were having a bit of a disagreement with the restaurant staff which didn’t really add to the ambience!!!

Our food was excellent, and the Italian waiter we had towards the end was nice. However, after we had our mains and were cleared, no one came to ask if we'd like a dessert, or the bill. We sat there for about an hour talking, then one of us got up to ask for the bill. We even looked around and caught eye with a waitress but still nothing! We would have probably ordered desserts aswell! Oh and the restaurant wasn't even that busy. They asked if everything was okay with our meal and we couldn't be bothered moan and they should have known themselves how bad their service was. Shame for the chefs becasue our food was excellent.

Food was ok but table was booked for 1pm and we were there until 5pm for a three course meal! Staff were friendly enough when we arrived but we soon got forgotten. We weren’t asked if we wanted desserts, so we had to request this. Two people were taking our orders so they were getting confused with what had been ordered. The food isn’t cheap and although it was ok I don’t think the standard warranted the prices. Also it felt cold in the restaurant. Disappointed as this was meant to be a birthday celebration. Won’t be visiting again sadly.

We went to the Wildwood restaurant in Market Harborough for my sons birthday. My son and his wife have a seven year old daughter who says Wildwood is her favourite restaurant. She is able to eat food she likes on child friendly crockery. She enjoys the activity sheet which is part of the child menu. We grown ups also enjoyed lovely Italian food and no doubt we will all return at some point.

Family meal out Staff and manager were lovely and the atmosphere was great. Food was a tad hit and miss - overall it was good. Vegetarian and vegan options good although vegan burger over cooked

We visited this restaurant recently for an evening meal.

Fantastic pizzas. Had the delight to eat here over the weekend. Never been to a Wildwood before and very impressed. The dough was superb and toppings a plenty. I had the steak Philly and the wife had the pepperoni. We were both impressed. We are pizza lovers and quite fussy but will be back soon.

Service was fantastic and the food very good. I’m just hoping they don’t reduce the number of options on the vegan menu after January (plant based diets last a lifetime, not just during veganuary).

Our servers that night were brilliant. Polite, professional and took the time to ensure we had everything we needed. Food was delicious, I had a vegan pizza which was incredible and my partner had a bacon burger. We also had a mozzarella garlic bread - delicious.

I sat on my own eating a delicious pizza in a warm friendly atmosphere. Staff were helpful. Was excellent & will return . Took half a of my pizza home and ate for second meal .

We have used this restaurant quite a few times and over the past couple of years we have seen the quality of food and service slowly deteriorate. Yesterday, maybe because it was boxing day, was the worst by far. The service was very, very slow, compounded by the fact that a family on a nearby table allowed their toddlers to run around and scream noisily throughout. The food quality was also below what we would expect from Wildwood. We were glad to get out.

We popped in today (Sunday) and are so glad we did. We were met with a friendly greeting and shown to our table. Drinks arrived soon after and my wife was impressed with the sparkling clean wine glass. The Sangiovese was spot on.

Helpful and attentive staff and the food was nice. Disappointed as what I had anticipated as a Christmas dinner was just their standard Roast Turkey Dish from the menu (this is probably more an issue with me reading the menu correctly though). A good time had by all and would recommend and revisit, I wills just be more vigilant reading the dish descriptions!

We pre booked our Christmas meal for work here - and the table was booked for 7.30. We weren't served any food (starters) until 8.15 - considering this was pre ordered it shouldn't have taken 45 minutes to get our starters. It then wasn't until 9.10, almost an hour after our starter that we received our main course. I had to send my meal away, it looked so unappetizing i cannot explain, i had a penne pasta bake, the pasta was rock hard and cold, even underneath the top layer was hard pasta and the turkey bits were cold - i wasn't risking eating it. My other colleagues had various other meals but the Christmas burgers, normal burgers and turkey dinner were all cold. After complaining we were told they would do something with the bill, however by the time the pudding came out at 10pm we had all had enough of waiting. To receive a pudding (that was watery and had clearly been microwaved) 2 and a half hours after the table was booked is disgraceful service. I again just told them i didn't want it and my colleagues took a few bites and left the rest. The staff were kind, tried to help so that part of 'service' we cannot complain about, however the amount of time we had to wait, the fact the food was cold, and the standard of the food was diabolical. We did get a huge majority off the bill, and they did open the candyfloss machine for us, however it did really ruin our night that we had been looking forward to for months. Also this morning numerous colleagues have bad stomach problems and one has been sick. Also we really didn't understand the point of pre ordering a full 3 course meal, when it still takes this long to get food. The table behind us hadn't pre ordered and got their food at the same time as us, some of their puddings actually came before ours! Thankyou to the lady who was lovely, and the staff who tried to help as much as they could, but our night was unfortunately dampened by this meal.

We were celebrating my sons exam result and we cannot complain about anything. The food, service and ambience was top notch. We didn’t even book a table but the staff were so accommodating and courteous. Our food was tailored made to our choice with no complaints. We had a brilliant time at the restaurant. The only negative was they really need to get their candy floss machine up and running as it’s a real attraction with children.

You can’t knock the food it was really good, great value for money and very tasty. However, the service was really poor. We got our drinks pretty quickly, but then waited 45 minutes for our food to arrive. Then mains arrived and we’d not had starters. There appeared to be frustrations between the chief and the waiting staff. We did get a discount but it was still a long time to wait.

We went last Christmas and went again this year. It was perfect, great food and mocktails, excellent service and a lovely atmosphere!

Really like the layout of this restaurant especially tbe round tables. Tge menus is excellent catering for everyone making a special menu for dietary requirements. There is also plenty of room for babies and prams. The only criticism is that the service is quite slow.

Food was poor mrs had a lasagne and i had spaghetti bolognese, food was so bland and spaghetti tasted like watery pasta only good thing was service as they were polite and helpful and refunded the meal straight away.

Two of us called in for a quick lunch mid-week and were pleasantly surprised at the venue, quality of food and great service. We had both starters and mains.

Visited with son and his partner. Good menu choices. I had seafood risotto which was delicious. Service was good.

Decided to take my daughters for a meal out in our local town (which is a rare treat) both not suggested Wildwood.. we arrived around 7pm and the restaurant seemed super busy. Asked if we had booked to which we replied no, they then agreed to seat us upstairs on a table for 3. As soon as we all were seated we noticed that the lights (dimmed for atmosphere) were flickering intermittently but quite annoyingly from low to bright? After about 40 mins of this, the lights were then set to bright by the staff to avoid this off putting annoyance. We ordered olives and garlic bread while we decided which Mains to order, came after about 25 mins to being seated but the bread was burnt on one side sadly but we were hungry so ate it anyway. After they cleared the plates I expected our mains to follow quite swiftly, about an hour later I enquired as to where the mains might be, the waitress said she would ask and then the manager came to the table and stated that our mains would be a further 10 mins at least and would we like complimentary drinks while we wait or a dessert. We declined all but one drink and said we may have a dessert at the end. The main meals were bought out and we were asked if we wanted any sauces, and after asking if we could have some mayo, we already anticipated that this would never transpire. My daughter ordered the burger and the bun inside was charcoal black, not edible at all and the burger much the same, black burnt on the outside and made the burger inedible. After sending this back (reluctantly after waiting SO long for the meal, when they bought it back they took the burger to another table? A couple whom were also waiting forever for their meal and had complained about the lack of service. The second attempt at a burger wasn’t much better! This meal was a spontaneous “let’s go out to eat” treat and one I won’t be repeating with Wildwood. Such a shame but the service was poor.. they were clearly overrun with business but failed to accept that they probably shouldn’t have taken any more tables and let many customers down with their wait and the food quality too. Such a shame but I’ll be taking my business to some of the fabulous local small restaurants we have in harborough next time and will avoid Wildwood at all costs. Talking of costs, the bill came to £70+ for 1 x olives, 1 x garlic bread, 2 soft drinks, 1 cocktail and 3 main meals. The burger was removed from the menu and after being in the restaurant for over 2 hours;m, we declined the complimentary desserts as didn’t want to wait any longer than we already had for them, after asking for this to be reflected in the bill, the manager conceded and accepted a reluctant payment of £40. I would never normally refuse to pay full price or complain really but this just wasn’t the great treat we had been expecting and was almost laughable with the lack of service and quality. Word to the wise, if it’s busy downstairs and there aren’t any tables, walk away and don’t sit upstairs, it’s like you’ve been forgotten and don’t matter. More staff needed before more customers seated! Can only put it down to greed! Avoid when busy or in need of a nice burger!

The food here is awful, a medium to well done steak came burnt, pizza had barely any sauce on it and was salty as sea water, calamari was definitely microwaved no doubt about it, we were very disappointed and will not be returning to the Wildwood again!!

Took advantage of a Two for One offer and was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was. Freshly cooked not just kept under a heat lamp. Good service from Two young staff for which nothing was too much trouble

Went today for lunch. Ordered burger- came and was so dry and the burger and bun were very burnt. Then ordered pizza instead which also came burnt. Overall not a very good meal- should have gone To pizza express.

I went mid-week with my brother and his wife, their daughters, and boyfriends for a birthday dinner. The place was not very busy so only a few others eating that night. I did not think the service was up to par and I found the food preparation and taste to be very average. Given that this was a birthday dinner I expected a little more attention than was given.

I had the most delicious Seafood Paella I’ve eaten in several decades, and it’s my first choice on any restaurant’s menu. I can say with confidence that this beats many of the paellas I’ve tried in various restaurants in Italy. I only wish I could have eaten more, but the generous portion beat me. I will definitely be returning. My two daughters were also very happy with their choices, a tagliatelle dish, and a meatball dish. Service was also good, and the waiters attentive.

Went here on the recommendation of my son. We were not disappointed. The staff are welcoming and attentive. The set lunch menu is super value at £9.95 for 2 courses. Well worth a visit, and we will out them on our "definite" list.

The restaurant was busy when e arrived, but we were shown to a table promptly with a friendly introduction. A nice atmosphere too. We were then abandoned and were literally about to leave when our waiter reappeared with apologies. Too few staff I think. After this our service was attentive from pretty much everyone - a genuine effort to make amends. So onto the food. I had the asparagus starter which was outstanding. My wife had the mixed salad which the manager agreed was poor and deleted it from the bill. We both had risottos, which were perfectly OK but I'd expected a creamier rice for this signature dish. As for drinks, both cocktails were fine - mandarin mojito and watermelon crush, but they'd run out of my choice of red wine, a surprising omission. So overall a disappointing experience. I think the restaurant would agree too.

We visited the Market Harborough restaurant on a Tuesday evening due to its 50% off food on Monday’s and Tuesday’s, food was fantastic, service was very friendly.

Had been meaning to try this restaurant and dropped in for lunch today as we were passing because it looked inviting from the outside. We were seated quickly and drink order taken. Food was ok but after sitting for a little while we couldn’t help notice the amount of cobwebs and spiders. These were in abundance around the window, ceiling, exit sign etc We mentioned this to the waitress who had to agree and said she would pass our comments to the manager. I saw her go speak to the manager but the waitress was sent back to say “it’s been a particularly bad year for spiders and we try to keep on top of it”! The manager did not come to speak to us or make any recompense. Unfortunately because of this we will not be returning. I wish I had taken photos now or that the area manager (if there is one) came by as it really was that bad and spoiled our dining experience.

We used the dine club card 241, we have never been before, wondered what is would be like, and very pleasantly surprised, from the front looks very small, it used to be a pub! Once inside it was huge and very comfortable.

Just ate at Wildwood Market Harborough, just like the previous reviewer we go there at least 6 times a year for the past five years the standard has gone down down down. Pizza like concrete impossible to cut burger dry and horrible as for management when confronted with drop in standard did not care at all Goodbye Wildwood will not return.

We booked while staying in the town. Booking is essential, busy Saturday. Great service by sebastian. The starters big portions. Mains just as big. Pizzas are huge. The prices are stood up market but very nice food. Chose different food to what I would normally. As went for Italian. If you want burger go Mackie. This place does great Italian food. Nice restaurant although we asked not to be seated near door so we was moved to a better table before we even sat down. Great service great food. Had a great time. Dropped in for lunch for the first time to this place, great location in the town centre, lovely outside space for alfresco if you prefer but inside is tasteful with a relaxed atmosphere. Great service. Me and a friend shared a pizza and a salad. The classic sized pizzas are a generous size, but you can go larger if you are starving. Delicious well thought out toppings, it was a tough choice! Will be back to try the others that I fancied. I had the elderflower soft drink which was also delicious. Lovely independent restaurant which should be a first choice over the chains. Prices are very reasonable.

Wildwoods are pretty similar wherever you book; Italian inspired menu with pizza, burgers, pasta, risotto or salad to choose from. If you subscribe to their special offers with an email you will often get a discount on the food which is what drew us here last week armed with a 59% off discount code. The food was very good value with this discount and we'd have been happy with the bill even a full price. It took quite a while to order, for the food to arrive and even to get the bill. We were in no rush so big deal but for the more impatient customer this might be a bigger issue.

nipped in on Fathers Day, for a quick lunch whist out have to say service and food was great. we had pizzas, salad and a pasta dish all were very tasty and the pizzas I have to very gapped.i had Caesar salad which again was a good size and very tasty .

My daughters Pizza was pretty good so I would stick to that. Wish I had. My Smoked haddock risotto was tasteless and the sides were tiny. Overall it’s expensive for what you get. Not much choice in MH so they probably do ok but I come from a city where they’d last 5 minutes!!

It may be a chain but it's good food, tasty and well prepared. Nice menu, well thought out and a good place to go to if you want a meal

Friendly staff willing to identify a range of gluten free options from the set lunch menu 11.95 tasty first course followed by great pizza, best ever gluten free pepperoni pizza highly recommend . Drinks included too refreshing mint lemonade and house wine. Plan to return. Well done to all the team.
