This is a excellent restaurant for a spot of italian food, with a great atmosphre and excellent service. Despite being very busy (at 6pm) service was very good and food excellent.

This is a very nice restraint and has a nice view if bishops palace. The food was really nice here and enjoyable. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Apparently it was full - unwillingly to take more bookings as it was full. Which looking at the photo is a struggle to believe

we had a lovely time and john tended to all our needs whilst being very kind and helpful there was great food and amazing desserts

Booked an outside table but when I arrived all the tables were full. When I asked about the booking I was told that they can't stop people sitting at the tables. I suggested that they could put a reserved sign on them but didn't seem to understand. Sat inside and had a very mediocre pasta dish. I had an offer on my phone for a free dessert but the waiter has to go and get someone else to deal with it. When I mentioned about the outside booking he said that the policy had changed that morning about bookings. I pointed out that I had called into the restaurant at lunchtime half an hour before it opened and my booking had been accepted. I have eaten in Ask restaurants before and enjoyed the experience. This time I didn't .

Had lunch here during the heatwave in September and it was lovely and cool with nice aircon. The staff were friendly and polite and we did not feel rushed. And the food was lovely.

Another fantastic evening spent at Ask in Wells and professionally hosted by John Matthew, our very friendly and gregarious waiter. The food was both timely, hot and delicious. My wife had the Rosemary and Olive bread followed by the Brisket of beef pappardelle and I had the small Calamari followed by the Linguine con frutti di mare. Everything about our evening was perfect, so thanks again to all the team and to John who goes that extra mile to make sure your evening is special. Well done to you all.

I was literally here to eat time, waiting for an appointment. I have eaten here before, and enjoyed good pizzas. This time I tried the calzone. Too much 'flavour' far too salty, I could not eat it!! I was rewarded with a 'free' beer. Not good.

I came for dinner with my family in July. The food was lovely. I asked the waiter for extra cheese and for extra vegetables on my pizza and i didn't get disappointed. My cheesecake was very sweet but it was nice with the ice cream together. The building / restaurant looks pretty inside.

Lovely evening out. It was a Monday, and our waiter (John Matthews - I found his name printed on the receipt!) was really friendly and helpful and did not rush us at all. Six chatty women who were so engrossed in catching up that they kept forgetting to look at the menus were no problem for him! Really nice food, great service.

Went with family and I must say. It was awesome. Was served by a top waiter called Peter. He made us feel completely welcome and enjoyed our children’s sense of humour ( day 3 and we can’t wait for school to start lol). Very accommodating and I’m saying this from someone who has run pubs and kitchens since 2005. If every place had this customer service we’d be flung so far into Europe we might end up in Italy and it’s heat wave.

Great food. Ask Perks meant a free dessert this month, so great value. Waiter John M was attentive and cheerful. Wonderful evening.

Had a lovely meal and the service was excellent. Particular thanks to John Matthews who served us in an efficient, polite and friendly way. It’s great when staff are willing to go above and beyond. Thanks to all the staff for their hard work and attention.

Last night we had dinner with friends and had an amazing time. The food was great and the manager on duty Sienna made our evening even more memorable by being absolutely amazing. Anything we asked for was taken care off without any issues or hesitation and she made sure we felt like being in a Michelin star restaurant. Thank you Sienna we will be back soon.
