Prezzo in Mendip

We opted for a late lunch at this restaurant after shopping in Clarks Village. It is natural to compare Prezzo with Zizzies - however, despite having similar Italian based menus and similar prices, there the comparison ends. The food was mediocre to say the least, but worse was the poor service. Having sat down and chosen what we wanted, we waited ages for someone to come and take our order. We ate after the lunchtime rush and there were probably only about 6 other people in the restaurant. The staff seemed more interested in returning washed cutlery and glassware than looking after customers. The same delays occurred when we wanted a further drink, dessert and the bill. WE will be going to Clarks Village again, but not Prezzo!

Food was your standard chain restaurant fayre. It arrived quickly for the four of us and hit the spot. Service was ok but there was a rather loud demanding hen party at the same time as us which didn't help. Could have done with another member of staff to keep up with the lunch rush. All in all it was ok and the meerkat discount helped. £51 for the four of us including drinks, thought that was quite acceptable.

My wife and I always look forward to dining at Pressos, especially the one in Reading Berkshire. Three times we used the one in Street and always been disappointed. On thev7th April 24 we went in an ordered our meal, two starters and two main courses. Eventually after a long wait, and they weren’t that busy, one starter arrived, I said where’s the other one, off the waitress went to get another one. We had ordered Garlic bread with balsamic onions and mozzarella. It looked like a piece of pizza bread and in the middle you could just about make out some cheese with about half a teaspoon of onions, all that was in the middle of the bread with nothing on the edges. When our main course came, my wife had ordered chicken caesar salad, it looked like a bunch of greenery put on the plate with a couple of slices of cucumber and about half of a chicken breast with slices of lemon. She ate the chicken and left the rest. I had ordered chicken prosciutto and sage with saltimbocco, there wasn’t much of it but it tasted ok. We just paid and left, we won’t be using that Pressos again.

This is a good Italian restaurant offering much more than pizzas ..It can be busy as popular with families. It's not cheap but the staff and food are good and therefore making it worth the money

Waited and waited and waited to be seated. One member of staff aimlessly faffing around with empty tables outside whilst tables inside remained un-cleared and messy, and this with only a few people actually in the 'restaurant' , we should have left then. Service was slow and the male waiters body odour was enough to put anyone off their food. We persevered despite this. We ordered the vegan option pizzas......we got the opposite with the dead bird and pigs meat. They offered a refund as if that was acceptable. We drank our drinks and left. Badly trained unmotivated staff, so putting incredibly poor management down as the reason you would want to avoid this place.

Went to Clarke's Village on Saturday, 16th March 2024, and decided to stop for some lunch. Prezzo's looked very inviting and we managed to book a table, as it was a very busy lunchtime. The manager was initially very pleasant and welcoming. We ordered our food, which took some time to arrive. When my food was brought to the table, it wasn't particularly hot and I had paid extra for chicken to be added to the dish. There were 3 small pieces of chicken hidden amongst the pasta and it was the same size as the pasta. There was additional charge of £3.00 for the chicken, which certainly wasn't value for money. When I quietly mentioned it to the manager, she replied curtly that "it was Prezzo's stock control portions". She then ignored us and avoided all eyes contact with us for the remainder of our visit. The drinks were overpriced too. I would not recommend eating there and would avoid adding the chicken to the Rigatoni Arrabbiata dish, especially if you are hungry.

Terrible food and slow service. Couldn't finish the lasagne as it was so overcooked and flavorless.

Just passing through and looking for some scram. Left the horse in the free car park and wondered into town. Three bars to choose from, went for the Italian one. Friendly chap on the bar fitted us in with no reservation (nothing to do with Indians). Great food served fast by happy staff. Paid the bill and left🤠

Went out for some food. Wasn’t expecting much being a chef and finding it hard to get good service and food anywhere nowadays. And being a chain I was expecting cheap food and robotic service. However. This was not the case at all. Very surprised. We were made to feel very welcome. Lara did an exceptional job of service. Smiling and happy which is rare nowadays. Very polite and had an outstanding knowledge of the menu and drinks. The hand crafted ravioli was exceptional. Also chatting to the manger (think he was the manager) was great, confident and happy as well as someone who loves his job. All in all a great night, pizza oven is something worth seeing. Will be going again soon.

Came for our 5th anniversary meal. Prezzo never fails. Carbonara was 10/10 as always. Lovely cocktail and the best cheese cake I have ever had!! My only niggle is that the toilets were flooded and the smell was not pleasant. However, they were trying to keep on top of it and plenty of wet floor signs!

Had a meal the two of us meal was good Asked at the end to pay I paid with my card and was presented with the bill for £36.50 on the machine when I paid for the above amount it totalled £41.97. When we looked on the menu outside of premises no mention of as we think So much for gratuity added. Upon looking at the second receipt it then shows added 10% which wasn’t noticed until got home. Don’t know if you can decline the 10% Certainly will not return.

The pizzas & pastas are very good & tasty. The only negative thing I could say about the pasta is that it would be nice to have had it served in warm bowls rather than cold as pasta does not hold the heat & soon goes very cold in unheated dishes!! The service we had from the young lady serving us was outstanding. We will return 💖

After a hard day shopping at the nearby outlet village you can get good food and great service. The salmon and cucumber starter was delicious and there was plenty of salmon with it. The food was served quick and freshly cooked and the ice cream dessert was gorgeous. The waiters were great and nothing was too much trouble.

Lovely food Staff are polite and friendly

right so it started with a walk in with a wiff of bo aka sweat without a laver of deodorant so made food appear unhygienic food was good but the billing annoyed me my reasons: so lady came over with bill then had to put my hand up to ask for card machine man came over then hell went down I had my voucher ready and the others paid first so I didn’t cause a wait when it came to me he said he didn’t know if he could and then told me he couldn’t do it like not being rude but couldn’t he just make a new tab but it’s whatever I am disappointed in the industry could be so dense I feel the lady that was also working could of done a better job and probably use common sense to make a new tab I would like to reiterate I am disappointed do better next time !

Had Chicken and Pepper Pizza Cost £16 It was a load of rubbish Thin very dry base with very little tomato pizza sauce. Even less Mozarella. Then chunks of dry cold cooked chicken and peppers. Not worth the money. I did complain and was given a free coffee. Will not go again.

Food has always been good, service can vary from the waiting staff but the duty manager who’s taken it on (it’s changed a few times since we’ve been regulars) has been incredible, nothing is too much trouble. Food is varied, always nice and doesn’t take too long. We regularly use our taste card to get 241 on courses.

Chose as they had a gluten free menu - There was a lot to choose from which makes a nice change. Service was very good, food very good, atmosphere was good - Cannot complain about anything.

WOW!!! What can I say about this place?🤔. The food was presented beautifully and was absolutely delicious. Service was 💯 both helpful and friendly and everything in this place oozes the wow factor including the fire furnise for cooking that is on display as well as the chef cooking the food. Prices vary depending on what you have and a word to the wise, they automatically add a service charge, which in our case was nearly £20, although if you ask them to remove it off of the bill they will.

We had a gourmet card for 25% off the total bill and they refused to give it to us.

My husband received an offer of a bottle of Prosecco or two free desserts as a birthday treat from Prezzo (his birthday 6th Nov). We were going to be in Clarks Village the following day so we decided to book for a lunch time meal that day. We have had meals at many different Prezzo's, but I have to say this was the worst we have ever had, we both had the chicken Saltimbocco. The chicken was chewy, the white heart cabbage was a wedge that was so hard the knife could hardly cut it and the jus was like water. No matter we thought at least the desserts would be nice, which they were, as was the wine and coffees to follow. When the waitress brought the bill to the table my husband showed her the QR code which she tapped and we paid the bill then left. Today having found the bill, we noticed that the desserts were charged for, so much for a birthday treat. Sadly we wont be using Clarks Village Prezzo again.

The service was good, the food disappointing… the beef raviolinis were the only dish that was ok. We ordered risotto and the rice was a paste, like a purée, tasty tho. The crab and lobster raviolis were the worst, liquid sauce, quite tasteless. We paid £80 for two ppl, too pricey for the quality.

Excellent pizza. Desserts dodgy. Ultimate Choclate cake was very disappointing. Dry, not choclatey. Baked cheesecake came with something like milk and probably tinned orange segment.

It was very busy for a Monday lunchtime.... probably speaks volumes in itself. Staff were very friendly and humorous. The pizza and pasta we had was brilliant. My wife had sticky toffee pudding for dessert which was massive and she said it tasted superb.

I visited whilst on a Christmas trip out supporting a service user. The person lives in a care home where I work. The restaurant setting was lovely with room to walk to seats without disturbing other diners. Would not be as accessible for wheelchair users. The meals were delicious and service perfect. Unfortunately this ended when I came to pay the bill. I had not been informed that the venue was cashless. Payment would only be accepted by card. As the service users I support have learning difficulties they do not have access to bank cards. I explained this to the server who said I would have been told that it was card payment only when I arrived which hadn't been the case. I was able to pay by cash as authorised by the manager but would not be able to have any change. I left feeling very disappointed with Prezzo and will not be returning. The establishment cannot seem themselves as an inclusive dining establishment as there are plenty of service users whom cannot enjoy a meal at their restaurant due to being a cashless setting. It turned an enjoyable experience into an embarrassing one which left us paying more for our meals.

Nice to be here after it was refurbished. Very modern and clean and great food with quick service. The only issue is the tone of the doorman was very loud, snappy and arrogant.

Came on a quiet Monday evening. Service was friendly but unfortunately quite slow and drinks often took far too long to come out or certain things had to be asked for twice. Understandable if very busy but when it's quiet it's more annoying. The food overall was very good, somehow they burnt the burger it was quite rubbery on the outside but maybe as it's not Italian in itself it can be forgiven the pizza and pasta elements were quite good at least. Overall a perfectly acceptable evening I would say a tad expensive but everything seems to be now. Wouldn't come back too quickly or go out my way but it's worth stopping in if you are in the area or want an overall good meal.

Staying with family in Somerset, we visited Prezzo in the Clark's Village in Street for a late lunch. The food was good and my sister had a voucher for a free bottle of prosecco which made it even better. The service was friendly, although the waitress forgot the water we asked for and we had to remind her. Prices were reasonable and I would recommend this restaurant if you are in Street.

Having had the most wonderful meal in the Bath Prezzo, we decided to book the Street Prezzo during a weekend away. I was looking forward to the same pizza for weeks. We arrived at the restaurant only to be told that they were out of bread base so no pizza and no garlic bread - anything with a bread base was off. Evening was nearly a disaster to be honest, I was so disappointed and had to settle for a bland pasta (not my favourite to be honest). The only reason we didn't walk out when he told us was we'd walked all the way from the B&B and didn't have much option.

Absolutely dreadful experience. Rude manager, was made to feel as if we were lucky to be there and we were just in their way. Food is poor, warm at best with long waiting. Toilets dirty Never again!

Brilliant service, friendly staff and amazing food

The food was tasty and excellent with a good choice, and the service friendly and helpful too. I would certainly recommend dining here. The one big downside—in fact, a very big and globally serious and freedom-threatening downside—is that cash payment would not be accepted; it had to be card only. This will prevent me, personally, from eating at Prezzo again unless they come to their senses quickly and review their policy.

So, so impressed at PREZZO. Not only was the food gorgeous, but the waiter who served us was tip top! Honestly, it was like being at a top London restaurant. I urge you to go there. Fabulous!

I find this a realy relaxing break in my shopping day. Table booked, they are spaced out so one does not get interrupted by others talking, staff polite and efficient good choice on menu - value for more

Called in for a late lunch while shopping at the village. I had a large pizza and the wife had pasta. Not rushed and great staff. Everything hot and spot on. Will definitely be back. Hint: scan the QR code on the back of the menu for 25% off your bill.

UPDATE: Had a further meal here (Sep-23) despite a very disappointing visit to another Prezzo restaurant. Thankfully this venue once again delivered with excellent service and good food in a timely manner despite being busy to the point it has restored my faith in the brand. Booked a table here (recommended) as had a dog with us and wished to have an outside table at a restaurant chain we often use. We turned up ahead of our booking time and although they were busy they soon served us with drinks which were just perfect. The manager kept apologising for a delay that was not really there. Food order was taken and arrived in a reasonable time and was really cooked well. Decided to have a coffee which was made just perfect, the best cup of coffee I've tasted in years. Well done team.

The person who greeted us was very shouty and hard to understand. The restaurant staff where lazy and didn’t care about sending the food out to the customers quickly enough. Our food was great however we felt ripped off with the size of the portions. We had the orzo pasta salad as one of our meals. We said it was to small for a main course. The chef said it’s a main course portion. When we went to pay the girl gave us a ridiculous excuse saying we always get complaints about that. We thought well sort it out stop making up excuses. No wonder they’ve closed restaurants with this slap dash service and portion sizes. The window to the washing up area is very small with dishes stacked up in view of the customers. Nobody said goodbye to us on departure.

Prezzo is lovely, the food is great and the new summer cocktails are refreshing and tasty. It's a little on the pricey side but the quality is up there. I've been here twice. I will say the regular pizza size is Massive so a large is HUGE! :D Great Staff, I was served by a friendly blonde haired lady with glasses, she was polite and Kind! Thanks guys! :)

Popped in for lunch with family, the staff were very helpful, and friendly. The disabled toilet was one of the best I have ever used, lots of room for the wheelchair and carer. The chef even asked if I needed my pizza cut up as I was having trouble with it. Food was very good and fair priced

Excellent food with excellent service and great atmosphere. I had the Beef Chianti and Porchini Mash with long Stemmed Broccoli and my wife had Marsala Chicken with Mushrooms spinach & fries. They were fabulous meals and we couldn’t fault them at all. The food was presented amazingly and professionally and it tasted out of this world. We are definitely coming back because of this extraordinary experience.

We went to Prezzo for lunch at clarks village on Monday 7th August while doing some shopping. I order ham, mushroom and mascaporne pizza and a blood orange lemonade but is was very sweet but nice. The manger was very nice and put my walker by the door for me. I went with my direct payment worker. I got a box for my leftover so I could take it home for my tea that evening. Had no pudding as was going to mcdolands at Dunball to meet friends and wanted a mcfullry.

I can’t rate this wonderful restaurant enough. The manager Fabio looked after us so well. He worked just as hard as everyone else (some managers just stand around dishing out orders!).Everyone was on the ball. The waitresses all supported each other and went out of their way to make sure customers were happy. We had a table near the chef and heard constant compliments about his cooking. Each dish that left the kitchen looked perfect. We were only in the area for a few days, but we agreed that it was the best restaurant meal we had ever had! They were obviously popular as despite the rain, there wasn’t a spare table to be seen. We enjoyed it so much, that we went back 2 days later! Well done Fabio, you and your team were amazing and we can’t wait to return next year!

Poor food, very bland and expensive for tiny portions. Drinks overpriced. Service was also poor and very slow even though restaurant was half empty. Ordered a crab and lobster dish and there was no crab or lobster, turns out they just make it into a paste and the portion is tiny.

The worst pizza I have ever ever had, together with miserable side salad of chewed up lettuce and cucumber, and no dressing. They used to do a passable pasta but maybe that's deteriorated too

Over priced and left feeling hungry and ripped off. Ordered a £5.50 garlic bread fully expecting a pizza sized bread and got this wafer thin bit of bread the size of my very small hand! Dishes were under sized and Over priced - prezzo will never see my money again ! Also don’t accept cash! 🤬

Typical Prezzo restaurant, food was tasty and nice location.

On arrival we were greeted quickly and shown to a table we didn’t like, we asked to move to a more comfortable and better location. The food was great but it all seemed very rushed, especially in between our starters and mains. It almost seemed like they wanted us out. It said they shut at 9:30 on a Sunday but by 8pm they were already cleaning up to close for the evening.

Beau is the beating heart of this restaurant, she is amazing and deserves a pay rise, couldn't be more attentive! Amazing food and service, we will be back see see her!

We happen apon this restaurant purely by chance & were really glad we did. The staff, Fabio , Laura ,Noah, & Millie could not have made the evening better. They were attentive polite, informative, very helpful and exceedingly efficient. The restaurant was nicely laid out with ample room so you didn't feel hemed in with other diners at your elbow. The food was excellent quality & plentiful which is a surprise for a chain restaurant. All in all a luck chance find for us.

I was taken to lunch here by my daughter and her partner on Mothering Sunday. We were given a warm welcome. All the staff we encountered were extremely friendly. Service was quick and the food was delicious. Plus I enjoyed my complementary G&T😃. Thanks Prezzo for a lovely time. Will definitely be back

Took my mum out for her birthday lunch this Friday with my sister and we had one of the nicest lunch experiences - food was delicious but it was the absolutely outstanding service that made it so memorable. The restaurant manager (if I remember correctly) Mark (?) was absolutely fabulous and made us feel so welcomed and looked after. We didn’t book so had to wait 30 mins for a table at 1:30pm which we were more than happy to do as just pottered around some shops beforehand. All the staff were friendly, welcoming and really went above and beyond to make mum feel special on her birthday which meant the world. Thank you and would definitely recommend for the fab service 😊

Visited Glastonbury for my birthday and we decided to go here for my meal. The waitresses were absolutely lovely and performed excellent customer service. The food was superb and one of the best i had in a while. The only downfall was that the waitress told us they do not accept AMEX even though on the AMEX website it had stated they accept it , but that was the only negative about our experience. Everything else was 10/10.

Despite it was fully booked on saturday lunch, the gentleman at the entrance made all his best for let us have a quick lunch, leaving table for the time requested. Service was nice, place very comfortable and food was good. However, I need to add something else... We cane back on Sunday, around 7pm WITHOUT reservation. Just 2 or 3 tables were occupied, but the girl at the entrance told us that it was fully booked. We asked for take away food and she told us that as they will expected so many People, take away service was not considered for that night... We found a place where to eat not so far and when we left just around 1,15h later there were no cars in the parking... So we were curiuos to have a look... The fully booked restaurant, that was near empy 1h before was TOTALY empty, maybe closed... what kind if service iti s??? What is your strategy... I change completely my opinion about you...

Staff were friendly and attentive and food arrived quickly. We hadn't booked but the manager found us a table for 2 and even tho the restaurant was busy we were not too close to anyone else. Food was delicious - I had calamari (shared) and then sea bass with gnocchi which was really lovely and just the right size of portion. Highly recommend a visit!

Me and my girlfriend came here for our one year anniversary on the 29th of July and it was incredible. The food and service was amazing! We will be coming back!
