Came here to have some food with my partner and had a lovely time! I love that it feels like a front room and so homely. The food was really good, I had the GOAT pizza and my partner had the seafood linguine. The pizza was brilliant, very generous with the toppings and the goats cheese had a great tang to it. Had the IPA beer as well which hit the spot! Will be coming back!

Horrible experience!! walking in for lunch with friends, place was pretty empty. Server refused to take our order because a large group had already pre-ordered. I was told they would stop cooking our food if and when the large group arrived so we would need wait. I told them that's fine, we would wait an hour if needed. They simply refused, said an hour wasn't enough time. Staff was just being lazy, I honestly felt that if I placed an order, they would spit on my food out of spite. Horrible experience!!

Found this place by chance. What a find 🤩 The food was amazing and beautifully presented (club sandwich and fish finger sandwich with a side portion of fries). Good size portions and reasonably priced. Staff were friendly and attentive. The venue is comfortable and relaxing. We’re only sorry we found it on the last day of our stay in Bristol.

Came here for lunch with my partner on bank holiday Monday, chosen as they operate a blue light discount. Burgers took 40 minutes from order to table, lattes are the standard coffee shop latte but the hostess / waitress was an absolute gem keeping cheerful and providing good customer service despite the challenges of a bank holiday Monday service.

Ordered the avocado toast but sadly it was just guacamole from a container so not as fresh as I was expecting. There is a cold breeze whenever you sit in the venue so not very warm but for a short visit it’s okay

We came here for breakfast, my mum, little boy and I. The space itself was a bit gloomy and grubby (I typically love a grounded as have been to several across Bristol). The tables were sticky, the high chair was sticky and had food dried on to it. We considered leaving but after driving for several hours, and having trust in the grounded chain, we decided to stay (our error). No one came to the table so I found a menu, and went to the till to order after 15mins or so. The till wasn’t working so I was stood at the desk to order for around 4minutes before anyone greeted me with - “our till isn’t working so you’ll have to pay after”. We didn’t receive a hello or apology. We ordered 2 lattes, a babycchino, full English breakfast and shakshuka. Our lattes were okay, not the warmest but tasted okay (I can’t really say much more as they were just an average coffee). The babychino (£1), came with marshmallows and was a good temperature but looked strangely watery. The food was awful. I’m not fussy, and it is extremely rare that I don’t eat a dish but neither of us could eat. The cooked breakfast had black all over it and was dripping in grease. It looked like it had been cooked in dirty pans, and was somehow cold. The shakshuka was awful. It looked and tasted of watered down tinned tomatoes with some vegetables thrown in. The egg was well poached considering the rest of our dishes. It was strangely tasteless but at the same time disgusting. We ended up just leaving the food, pay in and going. I wasn’t brave enough to say how awful the dishes were and I wasn’t asked on leaving. I was merely told that the till was fixed and I could pay. I wouldn’t recommend based on our experience, I would recommend against.

Great breakfast can’t go work highly recommend.

Disappointed. The service was near awful. I even had to get my own sauce. The toilets were out of order and they were trying to fix them. I know they were trying their best, but this place has gone downhill and felt underwhelmed by my experience today. 😔

Having read reviews, we thought we'll give it a try. Went there today for the first time to have brunch, but I was quite disappointed. Ordered smoked salmon poached egg muffins, waited for about 45-50 mins to be served to us, even though the place was pretty much empty. The food missed even though it looks presentable . The service was a letdown.

Im sure if you're only going for coffee then this place is satisfactory but unfortunately my breakfast experience was far from that. When I arrived I was the second person there and was told the ovens & grills needed 15 minutes to heat up and this was because I had asked for scrambled eggs and not fried which was my first mistake. The food took just over 45 minutes so 30 minutes if you take off the apparent 15 minutes it takes to heat up. 30 minutes for a badly cooked breakfast isnt great. You shouldnt charge this much if you're using cheap, thin, white bread. If you deep fry the hashbrowns to the point that they crumble and break, also the amount of oil content in them made them unedible, trying to cut one in half made them look like crispy cornflakes. And the scrambled egg was hard and chewy. I wish I had carried on walking and cooked at home. If someone had bothered asking me how my food was then I would have been honest and not left this review but they did not and I stayed for 25 minutes after eating my meal. I feel sorry for the staff in all honesty as its really not their fault but trickles down from bad management of a big chain. Also I got like 12 beans its pretty stingy. Better to go independent and save yourself from the disappointment. Sorry for the bad review but i've never been more excited to leave a place and not come back.

Ordered a goats cheese panini - when it finally arrived the insides were lightly filled with goats cheese skin rind - YUCK - with big gaps of bread and a handful of mushrooms. When I politely made comment - the manager said they would make me a fresh one. He then returned with the same old panini I had before but they had filled it with a different type of soft goats cheese and it still half rind of the old goats cheese. The salad looked wilted . I don't think we will be coming back here again. It would have been more honest for them to say that they had run out of goats cheese and offered me an alternative. Bad Service - the manager should have assured that I was happy and very BAD chef - can't even make a panini.

Came here on Sunday 26th November to do some laptop admin. I have to say the staff were helpful in accommodating the best seating for a plug socket and helpful in fulfilling orders. I only came in for a drink but because they were so welcoming I opted for the all day breakfast. Delicious! They also have a vegan option too!

Literally the worst grounded in Bristol. Food was terrible, service was equally as bad. Save yourself a visit and cook your own breakfast. (It’ll def be better)

I'm still waiting the food... The place is filthy, we had to ask to clean our table and after spaying all over us we had to wipe it with the serviette which came out black. I been in festival's toilet cleaner.

Food was really nice and they have some great local bars. Nice atmosphere, but what really stood out was the friendly staff. Spent a few hours working here and it was a real pleasure.

Quite a few of us went at the weekend for my sons 16th birthday, they are very accomadating at grounded Bedminster, the staff are lovely, unfortunately, the kitchen let the side down on this occasion, the wait on the food was 45 minutes to an hour and it wasnt busy at all apart from us and thats if we got the correct order at all, i ordered 5 meals 3 came out together and the remaining 2 came out after i had finished mine, they where missing orders and the food was coming out cold, usually a lovely bit of food on this occasion we where disappointed 😞

I've been working from my laptop for the past few years, and naturally coffee shops have been an ideal place to work from. But out of all the coffee ships I've been to in Bristol, Grounded Bedminster has been my favourite by far! The reason is because the establishment is a very comfortable place to work from, and also has great food and drink offerings to make your stay even more enjoyable. But more than anything, the staff are all very nice people who go above and beyond to make sure you are having a great time. As a special mention, and I just want to give a shoutout to Jay, who besides being great at what he does, has always made me feel welcome and valued. I'll say it again - if you work from your laptop, then Grounded Bedminster is the ideal place to visit.

Four of us had a great brunch, including two who went for the large breakfasts (and I mean large!). It's a casual venue and the atmosphere was nice, helped by the staff who were fantastic. I'm looking forward to going back again.

A member of staff was super helpful, I dropped my hotel keycard at the till (I’m daft), before we left she asked me if I was staying at the Ibis hotel and then brought the keycard over. Saved me a lot of stress, thank you!!

Ordered the avocado brunch and was quite disappointed. The menu didn’t specify that there would be balsamic vinegar smothered all over it, would have appreciated to know this so i could of asked to have it without.

Our family came to spend 30 min and have coffees, but the barman told us that he is not gonna do anything :I at 5.20pm ( when the bar closes at 6pm ) we were shocked to be honest )

The food was very nice. The highchair was very dirty, again. I had to use my own wipes to clean it. Not the best value for money, I bought beans on toast from the children's menu for over £4 and got a small piece of toast with a couple of tablespoons of beans. Won't be returning.

Staff member that served me was unfriendly. I had a coffee that tasted burnt, and a cheese and avocado panini - the avocado tasted like it was out of date. Decor was nice though.

A bit of a noisy time but my friend and I accept that mother and baby groups are part of grounded.

40 minute wait for kids fish and chips and a bowl of chips (advised wait was 25 minutes). Food was poor quality and chips were extremely greasy, to the point there was a build up of grease in the bottom of the bowl which was quite unpleasant. The servers all seemer friendly, just a bit all over the place as it got busier.

Arrived at 9:35 as their opening hours are stated 9:00-18:00. Not open and wasted journey.

Called in for coffee today with my wife, simple Americano, one black and one white;really poor - weak and tasteless.

Dear Grounded, The quality of ingredients in your full English breakfast for the price tag asked needs to be improved. It felt like it was budget quality ingredients for not such a budget price!! I was surprised at the recent change. Hope you see this as constructive as have always enjoyed all the meals Ive eaten with you over the years.

We came here with friends earlier today at Bridlington and the experience was disappointing. They didn’t have the vegan breakfast so I got the veggie one when I ve asked for avocado instead of the egg, I’ve got charged as extra item. They send two wrong orders to my table and when my friend asked the waitress which was the “epic breakfast “ (that’s the name on the product) she had no idea and she had to ask in the kitchen. (Turned out that there was a mixed up in the orders and the plate which stayed on our table for about 10 min was then delivered to another table outside, probably already cold and possibly was the order of the girl who wrote the review before me). I’ve got my order with extra avocado, no kale, deep friend veggie sausage which you get from Iceland on offer 1x2£, the egg and the butter I didn’t ask for and cold mushroom. Another waitress came to the table with the vegan option saying “here’s the plate with all the extra you asked for” which I found a bit rude. I had the feeling she was pushing me to get the new plate and leave the one I have already started. I didn’t want to waste anything and she mentioned that otherwise it would be bin anyway. I have asked for take away boxes which were given. Have to say the quality, presentation ( my boyfriend has his breakfast served in a smaller plate and a smaller portion) and service were disappointing and very average. Plus why do I have to pay 9.50£ for veggie and vegan breakfast, same price as meaty one?! It was way too pricey for what I’ve got. Better work on the quality of food and service.

Enjoyable food. But like all cafés. The food is getting more and more expensive.

Friendly and welcoming. Great atmosphere, relaxing and comfortable with sofas, tables and bench seating. There's also a garden at the back. Usually a selection of local artwork on the walls for sale too. Great choice on the menu and staff more than happy to customise the options for you. Prices are very reasonable and the food well presented, well cooked and served promptly. The loyalty bonus card gets you free drinks if you're a regular too! Our go to choice if we're in the area. 22/11/21 Update. Oh dear! What a strange decision. The new menu has been launched with a really odd twist. There is no longer ordinary toast available on the breakfast/brunch menu! The only option now is muffin or toasted sourdough. Will eateries please stop toasting sourdough, it turns perfectly tasty soft bread into some kind of building material that's virtually inedible and hazardous to teeth!!! How can you have a breakfast/ brunch menu and not include just ordinary toast? This bizarre decision seriously limits our options and consequently we shan't be frequenting Grounded any where near as often. Bad move guys, it's cost you two stars! 13/06/22 Update. After a long break common sense has prevailed and ordinary toast has been re-instated on the breakfast/brunch menu! We discovered this when we dropped in after a long absence due to the toast fiasco. Glad to see normality has returned and now we may well drop by more often.

Went with our one year old for a spot of lunch. They had highchairs, a changing room, amazing cafe food at great value. Lovely staff, fun music, kids menu. Couldn't have hoped for more .

Like many of the groundeds they've become a bit dated looking and feeling as well. The food was OK and service fine if not a bit slow.

Always have lovely breakfasts here. Food is super yummy & the avocado brunch is beautifully presented. Service is always quick & friendly.

Very nice place pity they don't except £50 notes had to laugh was a first for me but they served full breakfast to my friends and it looked so good I had a club sandwich which was nice and light.

I visit here often and always have a great experience with the food (normally breakfast) and the staff (very friendly). I really like it here and will be visiting again later this morning for brunch. I totally recommend the Grounded Breakfast!

Lovely food and service when we visited with my family. There was only 2 staff so we did have a long wait for food and drinks but they went above and beyond to try and help serve everyone. It was very busy.
