GOAT in Kensington and Chelsea

Never expected to be served a Gü pudding as part of a set menu (£50) we pre-ordered from. The starter we ordered was burrata and truffle, however this was clearly just a lump of mozzarella with no truffle in sight. We ordered a lemon tart with raspberry chantilly and were literally given a Gü lemon cheesecake. One of us ordered a steak for an extra £11 but this came with no sides at all and was over cooked. I got in touch with the restaurant and they promised to compensate us for the poor service, however it has now been 3 months and I haven’t received a penny. They delayed payment claiming severe cash flow issues and now they are ignoring my many emails. I have never experienced such treatment and will never return.

Organised a table for 10 for a work do at 6.30pm The starters of burrata and bruschetta was nice. The rare sirloin steak was over done for rare but the others with medium was done well. Mains Food came out at different times which was not great for timing of starting the meal. Negroni’s was average. Service was ok- missing at times when we wanted to get more water and order more drinks.

Después de tener una reserva con más de un mes de antelación, cuando llego al restaurante les hago saber que tengo una reserva, debería de ser la única porque el restaurante estaba completamente vacío, me colocan en una mesa para dos personas que apenas cabían los platos. Habiendo reservado un menú degustación de 20 £, me traen la carta, les vuelvo a repetir que he reservado un menú me traen el menú donde figura el precio de 50 £, les enseño la reserva de The Fork entonces me traen el mismo menú con 50 £ per person (35 £ on tuesdays), cuando llega la hora de pagar me traen la cuenta me cobran a razón de 35 £, cuando le indico que no está bien, me piden perdón he inmediatamente me traen la cuenta con el descuento correcto pero me cobran un Service Charge de 9,50 £, un robo a mano armada. En cuanto a la comida, no voy a decir que estaba mala pero el menú no valía ni los 20 £ pagadas por el, raciones escasas, 3 arancini para dos personas, 1 ración de tiramisú para compartir, y no tenía que ver nada con el menú ofrecido en la web, dos platos de pasta en un mismo menú. En cuanto al servicio dejó mucho que desear, estando el restaurante vacío que te ubiquen en una mesa que no caben los platos y que te estén intentando estafar en todo momento nos nada agradable.

I came here with two friends for the Tuesday 7 course taster menu. The service from the waiter was excellent, made to feel really welcome and he was very friendly and attentive. Every course was delicious. We all thoroughly enjoyed it and will be back very soon:)

Even though they were busy they fitted me in on my own downstairs, though there were two empty tables on ground floor. Host was friendly and the service was rapid and friendly. The lamb and cheddar pie came quickly and was delicious, though over salted. The potato dish came a little later - heavily over salted and way too much garlic in the sauce. Prices were average for the area and the crowd was buzzing. It’s come a long way from the seedy pub this place once was, but the chef needs to seriously reduce the salt content which spoiled otherwise god dishes.

Had a fantastic night here. Food was delicious, imaginative, and really good fun. Some great cocktails as well. Service was faultless. A real gem of a place.

Amazing evening celebrating a 30th birthday in the lower mezz and crypt. Had 60 guests for drinks and canapés and it couldn’t have been a better evening - the cocktail trees were a particular hit so would highly recommend! Big thanks to Mason, Aaron, Charlene and team for wonderful bespoke service on the night and in planning the event!

The menu did not match the online menu and was dated 2023,as is the one online. The dishes for sharing were small even for one person and at a 15 pound plus charge not good value. Two of my party had cold food and although we were given the option of having it reheated ,we should not have had to sit without food while the rest of the party ate. Also the room was very cold,we were offered another table but that area was equally cold . These things are page one. I would not recommend The Goat. I did not have a good experience and I would not return. Sorry!!!

AWFUL I have made a formal complaint. I have no idea what is going on but the physical space is trash as are their standards. Entire experience was terrible - no communication, no answer on the phone all week, answer phone mail box full, wrong numbers listed online for Whatsapp etc. Booked a table for a special occasion downstairs and wasn't called to say the area was hired privately and no speakeasy availability as it was privately hired as well. Place is filthy, toilets are filthy, plate was dirty and broken, cutlery filthy and doesn't even match. Table was not stable - had to use a menu under it. Drinks menu had most items not available and wasn't told until after ordering drinks?! Most pertinently, RAW CHICKEN SERVED with HAIR on the plate. Absolutely disgusting.

On arrival at 1215 on a Wednesday lunchtime, restaurant was empty. Music vibrant- playing some classics from the 70-80es. Two indoor areas seating- front up some steps and views of Fulham road and traffic. The back seating. with a fake cherry pink tree. There is also outdoor seating. Service was attentive and quick. Complimentary water on the table which is always a positive. Open plan kitchen somewhat has smell of cooking in the restaurant. Flat iron steak was beef meat slices with an odd Sour Asian style sauce with spring onions, onions and chillis and parsley on top with a slightly sour fluid - average dish. Fries were well cooked but delayed in arriving.

Shak was the best bartender we have seen. Super friendly and made the best drinks we have had in a long time. Thank you Shak ♥️

Popped over to Chelsea to a awesome venue Restaurant and bar ‘ the Goat’ and I was seriously surprised . A fantastic bar area and service from the barman recommending I try some drinks before a buy ‘ a brandy and a vegan wine’ then the menu came over and the T-born steak just stood out on the menu to me. What can I say just awesome’ never order this bad boy for One It’s a 2 person job from start to finish. The goat chefs know how to cook a good steak so just trust them to get it right first time. This restaurant also make great pizzas to order. It was a good atmosphere and one of Sw10’s ‘Chelsea’s places to be. The Goat is rocking and makes you want to stay longer or making dates to go back. Fantastic staff nice venue awesome food and drinks.

The best place for cocktail trees and Sunday Roast. Everyone was very welcoming and attentive to details.

tried the new pasta menu and it was absolutely fantastic! The menu had a great variety of options, would suggest for a romantic meal!

Vomit on the doorstep set the tone for what was to come. Loos were overflowing. Sinks blocked. Food arrived at different times. Three meals had no yorkshires on it. Despite being a bottomless Yorkshire and roasts Sunday lunch. No sauce. Cold food. Drinks took forever. Food was terrible. Service even worse Honestly one of the worst meals I’ve ever had. No reduction on price.

From the moment we arrived I have to say the service was pretty terrible. It was a shame because they had contacted me via Instagram inviting me and my friends in for free pizza, we were really looking forward to it. We booked to watch the rugby too as the restaurant had advertised they were showing the games on the big screens. We arrived and we’re basically ignored for a while, I ended up approaching someone and saying I had a table booked. There were 2 of us there but we we’re waiting for another friends to arrive, the man out front strangely put us on a tiny table for 2 people, we said about how we have a third person coming but he didn’t seem bothered and told us he could move us when she arrived. This was very strange as they were barely busy, maybe 3 tables had people sat at. I also explained if we could be sat by a TV screen for the rugby. He didn’t asked for any details of my booking. We noticed a male customer asking for toilet paper for the men’s bathrooms. When my friend went to the bathroom she ended up coming straight out and asking for toilet paper. We waited 25 minutes while staff were just stood around or on their phones. I eventually went to check and still no toilet paper, we asked again. I looks like the man out from had to run to the corner shop to not only buy toilet roll but throughout the evening he could come back from Sainsbury's with cans of Guinness! The bathrooms were in a disgusting state, clearly not cleaned for a while. After sitting and waiting for some time for the rugby to come on I ended up asking if they’re putting it on. It was clear they couldn’t get the TV to work downstairs and the man said they’re only showing the last game which I just wish they told us before as our plan was to see both of the games. Meanwhile all of this is going on, we noticed the chef dinging the bell for food to be served from the hot plate and it being just sat there for 15 minutes. The chef ended up ringing the bell 3 or 4 times. I could go on really with how bad the service was. Put the bottle of wine down on the table didn’t offer to pour it, ignoring the telephone ringing all evening, we had to ask for everything (menus and for the table to be cleaned), not clearing tables….. There was 1 women who arrived to work later on in the evening who was slightly better. It’s a shame because the pizzas were good. When I looked at the reviews online it’s clear to say the reason they’re inviting so many people in is because of how bad it is. Step up your service and good luck to you

We went into the speakeasy which was so cool and hidden away. It was 8 of us and we had a personalised menu which was so lovely. An added touch. We had a lovely evening, with good food! We will definitely go back again.

The pub is tired and really grubby and the service overall was pretty dreadful. We had the so called pizza’s and they were truly disgusting! In fact they were so bad I can confirm that they were without doubt the very worst pizza’s we have ever experienced! It will come as absolutely no surprise that we will never return!

This used to be an amazing restaurant now it’s just horrible we sat down saw the food coming from the dirty kitchen uninterested staff basic menu we asked what had happened to the place and were told the restaurant was under new ownership NOT FOR the better we paid £5 for the water we had ordered for the table and left do not go here the place smells terrible so many good restaurants in the area these idiots won’t last long

Ruined my friend's birthday. Manager disappeared for 30 minutes, the table wasn't ready for 45 and the food was served cold with no sides. Terrible.

My friend organised her Birthday celebration here and the service was horrendous and the manager was rude and obnoxious. The ground floor was hired for this private event, but on arrival the room was not set, filled with customers and the manager had seemed to have forgotten about the booking, despite pre-ordering food for 50 people. We allowed for the staff to clear and turnaround the room, but it did mean the group were an hour late in sitting down for food. It was clear that the kitchen staff were woefully unprepared for this booking as we sat down at 8.30pm, but main courses were not served until 10pm and at this point food was served without sides (sides came 30 minutes later). There was a total lack of communication throughout the event. When trying to speak to the manager he was rude and aggressive in responding and walked off. He did not offer any compensation or remedy. When the food was finally cleared the room was meant to be turned around with tables cleared for a dancefloor area. There weren't enough staff (story of the evening) and so customers had to move the tables to the basement themselves. It was chaotic. This was just a subset of the issues we had that night and we found out that the group upstairs had similar issues and as a result had left. If you are organising an event avoid at all costs. The management is rude, service chaotic and understaffed and the food was average when it came. To add to all this the team have conveniently not responded to 4 emails my friend has sent to them since the event.

Terrible service, food was served cold, restaurant was messy and the tables werent anywhere near ready for when we arrived, management were completely rude. All in all terrible night and not a "sorry" in sight from management.

Goat is a fantastic place to go to. We went on a Sunday for my daughters birthday lunch. There were 19 of us including 4 kids and 2 dogs! We had the most perfect time. Everyone needs were met, the kids loved the entertainer, the food was brilliant, really delicious and most importantly the people serving us were friendly, patient and so accommodating. Really couldn’t of asked for more. We all will definitely be coming back separately and together.A big a thank you to the manager, Dominika, who organised everything for me. She is a star.

This restaurant has a serious problem with its delivery orders. I ordered a pizza yesterday on deliveroo, estimated wait time was 10-20 minutes. However, the pizza arrived after 1 hour, and on top of that was cold and inedible. I am less than a 5 minute drive away, so this is completely unacceptable (the main reason I ordered was because of the speedy delivery, however this is clearly just false advertising to bait customers).I contacted deliveroo, and according to them the order had just been lying there at the restaurant for 45 minutes unattended, despite there being a driver onsite who had been waiting for 30 minutes to pick it up.This isn't the first time this has happened at the Goat. Once I even ordered a bufala campana pesto pizza which was delivered without the pesto (!), so the problem clearly isn't with deliveroo. The restaurant should have full accountability for this - needless to say, I shall not be ordering from here again

I’ve been to the Goat a few times now, yesterday for a friend’s birthday. Every time this place never fails to impress from the moment you walk in to the moment you leave. Staff and management are friendly and attentive and the manager is informative and accommodating to his customers’ needs. One of my friends is pregnant and she was served the most delicious non alcoholic cocktails and even a non alcoholic shot when we all had a round of cheekily called ‘crack babies’ because they definitely are addictive! So she never felt left out. The food is incredible...the burrata, truffle mac and cheese, pork, risotto and pizzas are delicious. Oh and the wine! One of the best reds I’ve had in a while. Can’t wait for my next visit - you have an awesome place there Steve!

Came here for drinks after dinner nearby on a Friday night. When you walk up to the building it seems as though it is a very quiet restaurant with no bar- until you walk upstairs! Good atmosphere, not many seats available upstairs but enough for the two of us. Music playing, table service available.

My hubby and I have just had the most beautiful meal at this elegant quaint restaurant. Excellent service great food. Will definitely be back. Best negroni ever.

Went here for a master class and it was fantastic! Very personal and the guys running it were extremely knowledgeable. Would defiantly recommend to try it out if your in the area!

Went to celebrate a friend's birthday. The place is esthetically very nice, HOWEVER, the service is terrible, we booked for 35 people and got given 1 table with 4 chairs, so sitting down was never an option.

Cocktail class with Steve was fantastic. Would like to return with some more friends as it was great fun, and enjoyed learning about the drinks. Very knowledgeable. Just read reviews after we’ve been and had I’d known would have asked to eat there too!

I attended the cocktail class recently with a group of friends. Man I wish Steve was my history teacher at school. He made learning the history of gin and cocktails so much fun! I highly recommend the cocktail masterclass to anyone for any occasion. Once you’ve sampled the amazing cocktails you can buy a delicious pizza for 50% off or £6. Bargain!! And then you can dance the pizza and cocktails off until late in the evening with the resident DJ! Will definitely be back!!

Visited for the first time last Saturday evening. Impossible to fault service (Phil who I believe is Head Barman and Madga were simply perfect - took great attention, hugely knowledgeable, lovely people). Food also very good, although our medium rare steak was certainly delivered medium/well done - however the service and quality of everything else meant that didn't matter. Perfect for a splash out date night.

We were bought tickets as a gift, as we are both pretty avid cocktail drinkers, and had a sensational time at GOAT!! Being a native Londoner i have been to a number of these type of classes and this was by far the best!

Only had drinks in the upstairs area. Cocktails were very tasty and of high quality. The prices reflect the location so should be expected. Barmen showing off for the punters which was good to watch, only two on the bar but seemed to keep on top of everyone’s order. Would return and recommend.

Nice kind of “neighbourhood” restaurant. You literally feel at home over there. Food was amazing! I had the cod and my friend choose a pizza (bresaola). We had a nice bottle of Pinot Noir. Good recommendations from our waitress. Nothing to add except that the service has been as awesome as the meal

GOAT really has earned itself the title of Goat.

Great food, great atmosphere... The kids enjoyed it so much, and we could eat in peace... The kids also ate4 quickly so they could join the fun... I booked for my daughter's birthday & they even brought out a candle with her dessert, which made her feel very special. So highly recommend and definitely going back.

Quite frankly the rudest waitress i have ever come across, didn't speak, ignored us and slammed our plates down! The restaurant was so noisy we couldn't have a conversation on our table without shouting! One men's toilet for a lot of guests and a broken hand dryer. Food was good.

Great little bar with extra seating upstairs. We asked the waiter if we could sit outside but there was no room so he took us upstairs and we had the whole upstairs bar to ourselves with personal service. Really feel like they value their customers. Drinks were reasonably priced and nice atmosphere, would come back.

Came with the wife and canine child for the £10 express lunch. Very welcoming staff. The chicken breast with Puy lentils was a pleasant surprise, well executed. Even the dog wolfed up the dog treats, getting a free bonus. There are plenty of good choices on the a la carte menu.

Came alone to enjoy lunch in chelsea and i found this huge cornee restaurant. First thought it was a pub when i was wrong. Nice place, welcoming and nice servers. Food was nice and at nice prices for the area (i saw a gordon ramsay's restaurant next to it). What called my atention was the brownies since i had never had one with rosemary, delicious!

С Друзьями отмечали день рождения, в нижнем зале ресторана, 20 человек. За нам ухаживали на столько, что мы совсем сосредоточились только на общении. Блюда выносили одновременно и выглядело потрясающе. О вкусе отдельно можно статью написать. Я сам когда то работал на кухне и понимаю что для поддержки такого качества нужна действительно иметь профессиональную команду. Супер, спасибо большое вам.

I took a friend here after I had raved about it, only having good experiences in the past. But this time it was truly disappointing and I don't think i'll ever waste my time here again.

The food, drinks, atmosphere and service all 10 out of 10. Thank you very much Agatha, for making the experience unforgettable. I will recomend this place for my friends and family and will come back my self.
