The best restaurants serving Italian food in England

Always a lovely experience here, staff are always so polite and helpful and food is always 10/10!! Me and my partner come to this restaurant every 2 weeks maybe twice in a week it’s so good

I visited the restaurant on Saturday 25th Feb as part of a large group (50+people). Now I understand that 50 people arriving at the same time is a bit of a nightmare but, as I understand it, Marco was given all of our menu choices in advance. Anyway, we arrived at 7pm and received our starter at 8.20pm. This wasn't a huge issue as we were enjoying the company of our friends, however as the night went on it meant that some had finished their meals and others hadn't even had their mains, some never got them and left. The waitresses did their best to calm the waters and generally the mood was OK despite the obvious problems. The food when it did arrive was acceptable, but I had expected slightly better than acceptable to be honest. We asked for parmesan and was told there wasnt any tonight. Some on our table didn't eat their mains as they said it was bland and left before their deserts. As I say, I get 50 people is a bit of a logistical nightmare but surely the restaurant should have been prepared for that? All in all I would advise not to visit if you're in a large group.

Always an excellent choice, great menu and a lovely specials board. Fast service by friendly staff. Great value and in a good location for us.

We were wandering around Norwich looking for somewhere to eat on a freezing cold evening and came across Pinocchio’s. Service was very good and the risotto was the best I’ve ever tasted. I struggle to understand why there are so many negative reviews for this excellent restaurant. Would definitely go there again.

Our Experience on Valentine’s day was awful. We had an absolutely dreadful experience at Zizi Staines. We arrive at the time I booked - 7:15, the lady at the host desk goes ‘sorry we’ve got to wait for people to leave before we can seat you, i know you booked but we had loads of walk ins’ we wait for about 15 minutes, she comes back over and goes ‘the only table i’ve got is a table cramped over there’, that was pushed against a wall, my girlfriend was pushed up against the back of another girl and I was pushed right up against a wall. Immediately off to a bad start. This table was number 203 - avoid at all costs! Then we order drinks - they bring the wrong ones (the ones they gave us were more expensive so we took it and she didn’t change it on the till so that was plus), We were expecting the Zero Alcohol Passionfruit Sparkler and Non-Alcoholic Morello Cherry beverage, what arrived was a Passionfruit Martini and Morello Cherry - luckily, we are able to drink alcohol and took the drinks at no additional costs - however this is alarming for those who do not drink alcohol and cannot for religious or allergen reasons. Then we waited for 1h15 mins for our starters to come - which were wrong entirely and undercooked. We were unable to order the ‘Mozzarella Garlic Bread, and informed it was out of stock, on Valentine’s day, at 19:30, to be out of stock of a dish that is the base of many other dishes - it seemed like a cop out to us. It’s simple, surely management would have predicted an influx of custom, more produce should have been ordered. So after this, we opted for the ‘Garlic Bombe’ - one with chorizo, one with mozzarella, and no onions on both, yet what arrived was two garlic bombe’s neither had chorizo, and both with a lot of onion. We were reluctant to send this back due to the wait we had already endured- however for those with allergens, this is utterly concerning. The mains arrived about 25 minutes later. My pizza wasn’t remotely cooked, it was stone cold on the crust and the cheese was barely melted. I must say - my ‘Crispy Prosciutto Carbonara’ was lovely - however the dish also, was lukewarm at best. We ended up taking desserts to go (it was a set menu - £27 each for three courses) and leaving as soon as we could. Absolutely awful! My thanks must go to our lovely waitress, unfortunately I didn’t get her name, she was a blonde lady. She was very attentive and it was clear she was getting a lot of backlash from many customers, for her colleagues errors. As a student, who works in hospitality I must issue my sincere gratitude to this server, she refused to make us pay service charge, unfortunately we didn’t have any cash on hand but I would of loved to of been able to tip her personally. I simply refuse to pay service charge for it to be split between the other colleagues who were at best - mediocre and uncaring of their customers. I would not recommend a visit to this restaurant, pop around the corner and head to Prezzo instead - some serious management changes needed at Zizi Staines or at least training.

¡Este lugar es una vibra! El Jam en Chelsea existe desde 1972, y ahora entiendo totalmente por qué — es acogedor, lindo, y todo lo que quieras en un restaurante italiano. Tan pronto como entras, te chocan las cálidas vibraciones, las paredes de ladrillo expuestas y estas adorables mesas de madera dobles apiladas que me recuerdan a los autobuses de dos pisos de Londres. Tan único y divertido. ¿La comida? 10 / 10 — absolutamente increíble. Pero honestamente, lo que hace este lugar tan especial es la gente. El personal era muy amable, y lo que estoy bastante seguro de que era el propietario era tan dulce, dando vueltas para comprobar en todos como si fueran viejos amigos. Se nota que realmente se preocupa por sus habituales y toda la vibra del lugar. Si estás en Chelsea, TIENES que pasarte. Está dando una acogedora perfección italiana, y ya estoy deseando volver.

We opted for pasta and although I know what we ordered, I am not overly sure what we got ! My favourite dish normally comes with a sauce....this was just overcooked pasta. Very very disappointed. Paid and left and will never ever go back.

A midrange restaurant that does fairly good food. I took a colleague to lunch there and would do so again. He ate an interesting pasta dish. The sort you would not cook for yourself at home. I had Chicken Milanese. Both very good. One course plus drinks £48 for two people.

My family and I ordered some pizzas and sides and they had put meat on all of our vegetarian pizzas, they refused to change or refund the food and were very rude and unprofessional about it!!. Just to top it off the pot of sauce that came with a side was visibly used.

Stopped by for a leisurely lunch, and it was delightful. The relaxed vibe and attentive service made for a pleasant break in the day. It's a lovely spot for catching up with friends or enjoying some quiet time. Will definitely return.

Yo y un amigo no había reservado una mesa el sábado por la noche, pero quería agradecer a Sara por ordenarnos a última hora y por ser un anfitrión increíble!

I had a birthday meal with 20 of my friends. The food was great and the service was friendly and welcoming. Highly reccomend.

Esto es probablemente lo más lejos que puedes llegar de un restaurante italiano, están vendiendo desayuno inglés y comida italiana mínima. El lugar no está dirigido por italianos y no del personal son italianos por lo que la experiencia es completamente no auténtico de la reclamada “café italiano”
