The best restaurants in United Kingdom serving Italian food

Bistro 66 is a local diner serving mainly breakfast/brunch plus burgers, pizza etc in the evenings (including a Vegan menu). It's not fine dining but then it's not intended to be. We go there for coffee regularly and eat there occasionally. We recently had dinner with friends. The food was good and the service excellent. Five stars is well deserved on the basis that they do what they do very well! Congratulations to whoever chooses and trains the staff - they are always courteous, efficient, helpful and professional - even the younger staff members, who are often poorly trained in other places! Keep up the good work!

A warm welcome on a Tuesday evening. Good range of reasonably priced Italian dishes. We ordered pizza, which were perfect and served promptly by the friendly owners, who are clearly and justifiably proud of their restaurant. We would certainly recommend if you are in the area.

Fantastic food and service on a busy Sunday. Staff were very busy but nothing too much trouble for our server. Very warm and welcoming amazing pizza and buzzing ambience

Walked in on the off chance Friday afternoon 1700hrs.. Potentially for a glass of wine and olives……. We soon changed our choices .. Started with breaded squid & caprese salad with a bottle of Chianti.. Mains - Linguine Gorgonzola and Linguine Amici… Sweets of tiramisu & affogato sided with Amaretto & Johnnie Walker black label.. Endex was expresso and spring water.. Oh and a complimentary limoncello (thank you)… A well presented comfortable seating area down stairs.. Did not visit upstairs.. As we entered we were sweetly welcomed to a table. I say sweetly because it was a young member of staff.. ( I was being patronising) … I apologise.. This person and all the young staff were exceptionally professional and courteous.. They have been schooled well.. Bravo… From a 30 min visit to a lovely cordial 2 hour experience.. Ended with a pleasant chat with the busy restaurateurs.. (So nice for you to take the time during an obviously busy time)… By the way so nice to see so many families visiting…

I could not have been more pleased with our choice of restaurant before going to the Old Vic (very close by). Our group of 8 friends had a variety of ‘nibbles’ to share including bruschetta, garlic bread and olives. We then ordered pasta, chicken, kebabs, salads, chips, roast veg which all arrived together. It was hot , tasty and you could tell freshly cooked. What a pleasure to see a business serving cheerfully serving fresh food in a lovely setting . I just wish you were closer to where we live!!

Ayant vu ce restaurant avec de bons avis sur Internet, nous avons franchi la porte avec enthousiasme, et nous avons été franchement déçu. Rien de mauvais gustativement parlant, mais rien d'extraordinaire. Par contre, nous avons été servi par un homme absolument pas accueillant et professionnel. Je ne recommande pas.

The pizza here are great and they also have other wood fired non pizza goodies to order if pizza isn’t your thing. Also the online ordering system works flawlessly.

Recommended here by a colleague as we were staying in the area. We were warmly welcomed and given water for the table as soon as we arrived (always a good start imo). Pizzas were delicious and service was quick and very friendly.

We visited recently and had a window seat overlooking the Weir. Home made pasta was delicious and generous portions apart from very tiny garlic bread to start. The staff were lovely and friendly. Would have rated this 5* but for the really sticky table, even had to prise the glasses off. I’m sure would have been cleaned if I’d mentioned it.

¡Queríamos un café rápido pero terminamos almorzando! Este lugar es genial, estábamos luchando por un café / bocado ligero para comer en el centro de Londres, luego nos topamos con este lugar. Es como tapas italianas, ¡fue absolutamente increíble! Fuimos a por dos arancini, dos cosas parecidas. ¡Ni idea de lo que eran pero eran JEFE! Y un croissant de pistacho 🥐 que se llenó con pistacho untable! La comida era tan fresca y sabrosa que salió muy rápido y el personal era tan amable. El café era genial también! Ovarall el lugar tenia una gran vide con gran comida , puedes comer tan poco o tanto como quieras 😊 Lamentablemente no pudimos probar los cócteles esta vez, pero definitivamente la próxima vez! ¡100% con una visita!

Went for Sunday lunch superb value for money for a thee course meal, both the beef and belly pork was excellent and the home made cheesecake’s are really good

Visited for bottomless brunch-oh my the team did us proud. Lovely selection of drinks, food was served hot & efficiently & was delicious. Never once had to call anyone to top our drinks up. Excellent customer service. Thank you to everyone at Brunching for making our visit a real celebration.

This place has a great atmosphere, delicious pizza, friendly staff, and fair prices. I'll definitely be returning soon!
