Sicily Market in Norwich

Have been a few times when in the city. Superb Pizza, and tremendous Pasta. Great authentic Italian Food. Small and informal dining.

Had a lovely evening with my elderly mother and my two children, until we were about to leave the door, the young man who had been serving us all evening had decided to get in my poor mothers face and proceeded to tell her he hopes she dies a slow, painful and miserable death, he then spat at her and shoved her out of the door, the awful young man had tight curly hair but we were unable to catch his name.

when i went with my family for a meal here some young chap who was serving us was unbelievably kind and fine waitering. The food we had was incredible and was one of the best italian restaurants i have ever been to with exceptional service. I would love to back here and see the young chap again as he brightened my day and was very funny!

Visited this local pizzeria around the end of last month and had a lovely margherita along with my family, although this interaction I had with a member of staff really mortified my family and I... We had eaten our pizzas and were having a chat at the table and a boy whose name I didn't manage to catch scurried down the stairs on all fours and immediately started relentlessly barking at my family! My wife had tried to calm him down although the only human thing I managed to translate was "STROKE, NOW!" At this point my family and I had been terrified by the traumatic event so we left like the wind. Good pizza though. 👍

Good local Italian owned restaurant. Staff are very nice, friendly and helpful. Both pasta is cooked just right not too soft or hard and the flavour is good. The pizza base is thin but not crispy, it is on the soggy side and a bit burnt. When they were cooking the other customers pizzas I can smell the burnt base too. The meatball is good with the spicy source. Over all this place is cheap and OK to eat out. I hope they will improve on the pizza to get the 5 star.

Visited early as off to theatre, delicious Calabrian meatballs and pizza. Pasta with sausage delish too, good service and quick! Limoncello to finish. Place packed when we left, not surprised.

I have sampled loads of pizza from various pizzeria but if you truly want a taste of the real McCoy you MUST try the pizza created with love and profession of the highest order by Rocco and Bruno. Well done guys you managed toto give us a taste of Bella Italia ,!!!! Don't go anywhere else for a pizza if you are in Norwich.

The restaurant looked great in the reviews so we took a chance and ate dinner here. The service wasn't that great, a young lad took our order and got our drinks completely wrong, even after telling him 3 times (2 lemonades, not difficult to remember)? The female waitresses were OK and friendly. The service was slow, people who arrived after us got their food before us? The food was great, fresh and tasty. I had to ask for new knifes and folks as ours still had food stuck to it, its a bit worrying with Covid around. When we got the bill we were charged for 3 drinks instead of 2? Its a shame as the food is amazing, but just let down by these small things. I won't be going back.

Really friendly guys in a super authentic little place. Been meaning to try their food for a while. Great pizza, seriously fresh and flavourful sauce, and their coffee is the most affordable coffee you’ll find in Norwich! Lovey place

Starters and sides lacked flavour and any real taste and quality was missing. Tiramisu was definitely from frozen as the sponge layer had become spoilt and watery and still had some ice crystals. The pizza was really good but a frozen tiramisu in an ‘authentic’ Italian restaurant brings everything into question for me. Might go back for the pizza 🤗

Best service in Norwich the staff are very kind and welcoming. I really miss pizza like its made in Italy and this is my go to place for a genuine Italian pizzeria in Norwich. To me this place beats even the best pizzerias in London. To all my friends that asks me where to go for the best Italian experience in Norwich I don't think twice to refer them to Sicily Trattoria.

We went here for a birthday lunch. It’s a small place, without pretension (it’s more homely than posh, which we liked), but the food is properly Italian. Really tasty sides (which we had as starters and they did not mind), and very large pizzas adapted to vegetarians (which they also did not mind). The pizza was just so nice! And proper Italian Peroni. Plus the person who served us was super friendly and helpful even when it got a bit more busy. Will be coming back! Thank you!

Visited the first day of compulsory face masks! We thought tables were a little close in this small cosy restaurant. The welcome was not that warm but we later found out the person serving and greeting us had a bad back. The food had really good flavours but the portions were rather small, our mains were £13 & £14 Will try again as our children and grandchildren enjoy their meals here.

We've visited the restaurant and the food is delicious. Through lockdown we've had deliveries and they be fine. Tonight however the delivery took over half an hour to get the 1.8 miles to us, confirmation that it had been picked up at 6.28, it arrived at the front door at 7.07pm I'd have be quicker walking to collect it, what a disappointment. Per caso girovagando tra i chioschi di Norwich dura te una vacanza studio, abbiamo trovato questo chiosco gestito da due ragazzi italiani Bruno e Rocco molto simpatici, l'impasto della pizza veramente buono, ottimo il covaccino, le crocchette di patate e gli arancini, fanno anche degli ottimi primi piatti, prezzi modici. Lo Consiglio vivamente.

Our daughter is a bit of a Margherita pizza expert - and she opted for the Mini Margherita Calzone for just £3.50. Little did we know that their idea of mini is standard- a whole pizza transformed into a calzone. So standard margherita with fresh basil inside served in a cardboard box with cutlery and she ate the lot!!

Thanks to Rocco and Bruno I don't miss so much the great Italian food. They are just superb. From the ingredients to the way the cook I feel back home. Everything it is real Arancina pizza carbonara....

I come here as often as possible when in Norwich. The reason is simple: the pizza made here is the only pizza I’ve ever tasted in this entire country that matches that which you get in Italy. Sicily Market is a must-visit among the stalls of the award-winning Norwich Market.

The food here is always freshly prepared in front of you by the most friendly and welcoming authentic Italian staff. Very reasonably priced and a jewel in the crown of the Norwich market food scene! Everyone needs to try this!

Always been lovers of Italian food, and discovered this stall about a year ago. Have been back so many times since, and have never been disappointed with the food. The food inspired us to go to Sicily, and we have yet to find any food that matches it! The arrancini are a personal favourite, but the homemade pasta and pizza are a must. Absolutely phenomenal food in Norwich!!

I stopped by Sicily Market earlier this week and, having passed by their stall a few times before, I decided to give it a go.

Stumbled across this stall today whilst looking for my fat Friday lunch and I could not be happier with what I found! I had a mini calzone expecting to have a little snack but it was huge! And only £3.50! It was made fresh in front of me and it was delicious! Not only was the food great, the service was great too.

Small food stall in the market but with 4-5 seats at the counter. The menu is limited but the pizza we had was great value and freshly made right there - I think it was about 4 quid for margherita pizza. There are also a couple of pasta dishes on offer for a similar price every day. Owners are genuine Italian and friendly. You can also pick up a generous slice of fresh pizza for 2 quid. Compared to the cost of this food elsewhere in Norwich this place is a bargain but without compromising quality. Recommended...

Is a joke I share with friends and family alike. I discovered this stall not long ago and have been back so many times I am sure they think I am stalking them. The food is sooooooo authentic that on a sunny day you can shut your eyes and pretend you are in Sorrento, Lake Garda - anywhere Italian! Big fat yum!!
