¡Qué experiencia! Reservado para el restaurante Sycamore, paramos en el bar para tomar una copa rápida. Tardamos un poco en llegar nuestras bebidas, ni siquiera las terminamos ya que no sentimos que valieran la pena el precio. Podría hacerlo mejor. ¡Excelente cena! Nuestro servidor Szilard nos cuidó bien, el servicio muy atento de él. El tartar del filete estaba absolutamente delicioso, no recuerdo tener tanta armonía en un plato muy delicioso. Probé algunas de las pastas y pocos mains, todo muy bueno y auténtico. Gracias chef y gracias Szilard por ser tan amable y profesional, hizo nuestra noche

Una Opinión mixta. Cuando llegamos pedimos algunos cócteles y otras bebidas. Tuvimos que esperar siglos para que nuestros cócteles llegaran... alrededor de media hora. Reservamos una mesa para 12 damas en el restaurante Sycamore para la cena y nos pidieron que hacer una reserva previa para nuestra comida. Por la noche estábamos sentados en una mesa de descanso en la zona del bar. La mayoría de la comida estaba bien, pero las ensaladas verdes eran solo un plato de lechuga y nada más y el Risotto Primavera era horrible, solo un plato de arroz risotto suave sin verduras verdes como guisantes, judías o espárragos. Pedimos este plato ya que en el menú dice que es vegano, pero no era vegano y tenía parmesano normal en él. Pedimos nuestra factura y nos apresuraron a bajar a la habitación de abajo para ver la Leo Green Experience (que fue fabuloso!). Como habíamos pre-ordenado nuestra comida y no había tenido ningún extra la factura debería haber sido muy simple. Teníamos una cuenta de bebidas aparte. Pagué la cuenta rápidamente y me uní a los demás para el espectáculo de abajo. Para ser justos, el gerente era muy bueno y había hecho estallar vasos de efluvio de cortesía en nuestra mesa. Habíamos pagado las entradas con servicio de mesa para las bebidas, pero esto fue muy lapsus. Fue difícil llamar la atención del personal para hacer pedidos y el servicio muy lento. La mesa no estaba limpia de vasos vacíos. Fue a la mañana siguiente cuando comprobé dos veces las facturas que me di cuenta de que se habían agregado artículos adicionales a nuestra factura y se habían cobrado. Artículos que no fueron ordenados. Así que nos habían cobrado de más. He enviado por correo electrónico al gerente de alimentos y bebidas, Karan, dos veces con evidencia de nuestro pedido y la factura inflada, pero no he recibido ningún tipo de respuesta de ellos. He llamado al hotel todos los días durante las últimas tres semanas, a veces hasta ocho veces a lo largo del día, pero nadie contesta el teléfono. Mi sensación es que pensaron que como éramos un grupo grande y lo pasábamos bien que no notaríamos los elementos adicionales añadidos a la factura. This restaurant is part of the hotel. It's an open and spacious restaurant, elegant, decor is a bit outdated, definitely feels like a hotel restaurant. We had lunch here, I felt like eating pasta. We had the foccacia, spaghetti involtini (it was small serving so I then had the linguini!), linguini ragu and both were really rich and delicious. We had 2 glasses of pinot grigio and the bill was £104 so definitely not cheap. The staff were very pleasant, and relaxed. I'd eat here again.

Restaurant has full view of an exceptional bar! Lovely low level lighting makes this a nice setting for a couples dinner. We ordered the Burrata with Basil Sorbet and tempura baby squid for starters. Both exceptional. The squid came with a black squid ink mayo which was very tasty. For main we had the black linguine and stone bass. The red bell pepper sauce which accompanied the fish was delicious. Only managed one dessert which was panna cotta with pistachio and strawberry coulis, washed down with a Hungarian Dessert wine. We also had 30% off the total bill courtesy of Open Table offer, so this was an overall great experience. Finally want to mention our waitress, Raphaella who was exceptional and added to the experience. Very polite and always keeping us updated on food and drinks orders.

Poor customer service. The booking details were wrong, and despite it being very quiet on a Tuesday evening the service was inattentive. We were a group of 6 with two separate bills (booking platform condition), so our food wasn’t served at the same time and then a long wait for dessert despite being very quiet. Food was good and setting could be amazing, but just no atmosphere and no one seemed bothered about whether we were happy or needed anything. It could be so much better but instead it was a poor experience. When we asked for the service charge to be removed no one asked why and instead we got the revised bill almost slammed on the table.

Me and my friend met at this Italian restaurant for birthday lunch. It’s a beautiful place. The food was tasty, everything we had. We all were so happy, satisfied and all agreed that the best was the service. 10/10 We been served by wonderful lady Mari France. She was the star of our experience. She looked after us so well and gifted us with her smile that we said we will come back there again. Thank you! And we love you Mari France you r the best!

It’s possible that they caught me on a bad day. The welcome from the Maitre D was not great. I waited to be acknowledged and he ignored me, only responding when I called to him. The table we were given was in a high traffic area next to the bar. There were other, better tables. It was a mistake on our behalf not to be asked to be moved. The atmosphere was very “hotel lobby” with people waiting with luggage (when we were there) and the majority of tables set to be used with the bar and not as a restaurant. Service was slow and difficult to find. On two occasions, I had to get up to look for someone. I had to get up to pay the bill. One side dish was missing. The bill was wrong. The green salad falls outside the spec that I would expect for a green salad. We spent a lot of time waiting for our plates to be cleared. I didn’t pay the service charge. The waiter said that he thought he needed the manager to cancel the service charge, I pushed and he discovered the ability to do it himself. The first course took roughly fifty minutes to complete so if you are tight on time for pre theatre, it’s possible that you might not make it unless the pre theatre set is designed to be faster – perhaps it is. The food is actually fairly good although on quite a short menu, some items were unavailable. The pictures on Tripadvisor are largely accurate. Mains definitely require a side dish. Portions are small and you need at least two courses. The price, however is very, very punchy for the quality. Two mains, two desserts one side one beer and a soft drink was £82 at the full menu price after 12.5% service. To their credit, the beer prices were reasonable (for London) at £7 for a pint. You can get offers here and that is the only way that you should do it as a diner paying your own bill. Most people eating here, I suspect, are doing it on expenses. As an experience, I found it a little odd. There was more work than I felt was necessary on my behalf and those prices are aggressive. Being positive, hygiene was good and there is a really nice jazz venue downstairs. The waiter and waitress were pleasant. It needs tighter organisation and the value proposition needs to be better.

A beautifully decorated restaurant but the food didn’t match the price tag in my opinion. We ordered the fig + salami sourdough bread, the spicy prawn cocktail, fries, crab linguine, Devon chicken 2 ways, 7 layer chocolate cake, chocolate fondant with cherries and 2 glasses of wine. Total bill came to around £153 with service charge (before our first table discount). Starters and desserts tasted amazing. The wine we got was nice and smooth. My favourites were the salami and sourdough and the 7 layer chocolate cake. The chocolate fondant was lovely but slightly too rich and the prawn cocktail had no spice. Our main issue was with our mains. The large crab linguine was over £28 I think and the portion was childlike. Not enough for a fully grown man to eat as a main so we had to order fries. The chicken dish was well portioned but extremely dry. It needed to be cooked less and have more sauce in the dish. The veg was the best part of the meal. Service was brilliant to start, our server was very friendly and humorous. However, the wait between courses was extremely long and once we had finished our meal getting the bill took a while. I think we were in the restaurant for about 2.75 hrs in the end. Overall an okay experience but we probably wouldn’t go back due to the disappointing mains.

We were walk in customers after a matinee performance, the staff were lovely and very attentive. The food was fabulous, I had chicken 2 ways and my companion had crab linguine and we both had chocolate fondant with cherries which was divine. We came across the Sycamore totally by accident, what a great find!

This restaurant offers a wonderful variety of healthy breakfast options. The hospitality is superb and you feel very welcome and comfortable. The service staff is the best I have ever seen, working together as a team. Mary France is a special person who makes your visit memorable. She pays attention to every detail and treats you like family. She is the main reason why this is my favourite breakfast spot in England, followed by the delicious food.

We came to the restaurant as walk-in customers. The restaurant was fairly empty and we were told that they would clear an empty table for us while we waited at the bar. Whilst waiting the bartender ignored us. We weren’t offered a drinks menu or even acknowledged. Meanwhile, the waiter who was clearing a table for us had since given the table to another group. We waited a further 15 minutes - nobody acknowledged that we were there and there seemed to be no sense of urgency in giving us a table. We decided to leave. It might look 5 star but the service is definitely one star service.

Was so looking forward to visiting here based on previous reviews but was a definite let down. We had booked a table for 6:30pm on Saturday 2nd December. When we arrived we were told there were problems with their orders getting direct to the kitchen that we would have a possible one hr wait. As we had it booked we said ok and as we were being taken to our table in the restaurant end the waitress changed her mind and placed us at a table in the bar seating area. There were four of us but the seating places were only set for three and she said I’ll fix up another place setting which didn’t happen until constantly asked. The service was appalling we ordered water, cocktail, wine and glass of ice. The orders took forever to come even though we were shouting distance from the bar. We already had one bottle of water finished and had requested another and still had not got the ice from the original order. On request of the bill my daughter just quickly checked it as we had ordered chips which never came. We were being charged for 3 bottles of water even though we only had two, there were two other items on the bill not belonging to us which turned out to be the drinks for the table next to us totalling over £35. I would avoid this establishment like the plaque. It was the worst experience I have ever encountered

Very dissatisfied and disappointed. Service was terrible. We waiting nearly 30 mins for some ice and drinks. The food was ok very slow. Our chips did not arrive. When bill came i checked to ensure chips were not on it to notice extra water and drinks were on our bill nearly £40 extra on our bill. Wouldnt go back.

New restaurant for us, chosen for its close proximity to the theatre we were attending that evening. What an excellent find. We were greeted warmly on arrival, and looked after throughout our early evening visit by the lovely Shelina. At Shelina’s suggestion we started our evening off with a refreshing glass of Prosecco. This was the perfect introduction. We shared arancini to start along with complimentary bread, oil and balsamic. Our main courses of Roasted Lamb Rump were perfectly cooked to our individual preferences and served with charred broccoli, Datterini tomatoes, and rosemary butter, with a side of creamy mash and an accompanying large glass of Nero d’Avola Ciello. All delicious. We opted to forego a dessert in favour of an Espresso Martini per head, and on the way out took the time to compliment the cocktail barman on his mixology skills. We had an excellent evening, where every member of staff we encountered went out of their way to give charming and attentive service. A major thumbs up to all.

While staying at the Middle Eight Hotel, we dined 3 times at the Sycamore Vino Cucina, the in-house restaurant. A modern vibe with creative Italian dishes, we enjoyed every visit. The servers were great and remembered us after our first visit which is always a nice thing. We almost daily stopped by for a nightcap after our days exploring in London and the Cotswolds (day trip). The mashed pea tortelloni was out of this world good, and their cocktails are generous and not watered down. The restaurant is spacious yet intimate with views onto Great Queen Street which is always full of great people-watching. Highly recommend this superb restaurant if you are in the Holburn/Covent Garden area…. Or worth a tube/taxi ride to experience the unique flavors of their menu and the warm excellent service as well.

A new place for me. We came here to celebrate my friends birthday, hosted by her brother. There was a deal on a website for 30% off which is why he booked here. Unfortunately, 100% off would not have been good enough - the food was absolutely terrible. Most of our party had the tuna starter but it looked and tasted like it came out of a tin; we had some expensive mains of steak and lamb, both were appalling; some had the meatballs but even these were awful. I have rarely experienced such overpriced, unpalatable food in London and would caution anyone about this place. Avoid.

Fuimos varias veces durante los meses de agosto y septiembre. El menú no era largo, pero todo estaba recién hecho, desde cero. Cuando fuimos temprano, el servicio fue bastante rápido, pero más tarde se llenó (es un lugar pequeño) y ¡el servicio nos llevó más de una hora! Por suerte, queríamos hablar. Tuve la berenjena / berenjena parmigiana más de una vez, estaba delicioso. El camarero italiano / de Sri Lanka fue desternillante. (y muy lindo)
